There's no reason for them to. IQ is very important for Psychology and the only general quantification of intelligence we have. They're continuously trying to refine it.

If you're smart, you'll do better on the ACT/SAT. If you aren't, you won't. It's not a complete predictor and shouldn't be the end all be all of your college resume, especially if you have a low GPA, but it's the only thing we've got to standardize qualification.

I argue that grade inflation is a product of increasingly strict entrance standards, which results in higher quality student bodies. Do you know who gets into Ivy league schools? Almost without fail, 4.0 35-36 ACT students. Our valedictorian had a 5.0 weighted GPA and 35, denied at all Ivies, went to Vandy. Those kids are going to get their A's in college.

The university system is getting overloaded with students. Removing another entrance standard is increasing the shitshow and ambiguity.
