Why has Zac Efron's career not taken off more?
> good looking
> really talented (go watch Hairspray or 17 Again, don't blame him for High School Musical because those were shit)
All he does are shitty hot guy roles. He's way better than Chris Pratt who is overrated as fuck.
>kicking coke addictions
I'm predicting he'll have a big career boom when he gets into his thirties and forties and he loses some of that "pretty boy" look.
He's got the chops, he just got pigeonholed as a teen heart throb. Sort of like Robert Downy Jr, actually.
You're right he looks ugly as fuck now
I think the Rob Lowe parallel is a good one.
He was way too pretty in the eighties, and he didn't do much of note after St. Elmo's Fire in 1985, all the way until 1999 when he got his resurgence from The West Wing.
I could see Efron having a similar career path.
isn't it weird how being too good looking is like a problem? its so easy to get typecast. Ryan Gosling has branched out and so has Chris Pine because they probably didn't want the same to happen.
Did anyone watch that DJ movie he did recently? I went in expecting nothing basically only watching it because I was bored as hell and had no other unwatched movies on my pc at the time. It surprised me positively and I lost a lot of bias I had for him because of his older roles.
this is sorta what happened when I watched 17 Again
I just thought he was the faggot from High School Musical but when I actually saw him act I realized he had talent and that HSM was just a shit series
>beyond 25 women just want a classy gentlesir like me, not some pretty boy!
Too good looking. How can you take him seriously in any drama? With a face like that, the biggest problem a guy like this would have is choosing which perfect 10 he wants to bang on a particular day.
