>comes back from China after 18 months of torture
>behaves like a normal human being
Do you think they dropped the ball with this one? I wanted to see hardcore PTSD Bauer.
I don't know, Anon, do you want him to have dialogue?
>can't torture people anymore
Bauer had to get PTSD to become normal
You're just not getting the character
Bauer gets PTSD multiple times during the series, he just self cures them very quickly
In one of the finales he even sheds a single tear. That is him blowing away massive amounts of stress and pressure that would have killed 10 normal people.
He was different in season 1, dude looked like a puppy and even fell asleep at some point.
is this show any good? i have honestly never watched a single episode of 24 but obviously it's pretty popular and i feel like getting into it but it takes a lot to get through like 9 seasons
so what would you guys rate it honestly out of 10?
>Recently started watching this show for the first time
>Just finished episode 14 of season 2.
Holy shit sudden rush of feels.
That talk between Kim and Jack as he flies the plane to his alleged doom.
That Director Mason patting Jack's hand while he accepts control of the plane so that Jack can live.
I seriously started tearing up what the fuck
Season 1 was so fucking goofy and boring compared to this, I'm amazed.
It's in my top 5 right along The Sopranos and The Wire. Of course it's not as good as those and doesn't have the same depth, but I derived so much enjoyment from 24 that it's definitely one of my favourite TV shows.
I also thought "9 seasons? Are you fucking kidding me?" and then Iwatched season 1 over a weekend. It can get repetitive (usually the lowest points are around season 4 and then season 6), the trick is to quit and take a break after it starts getting dull.
If you two weren't plebs you'd understand how powerful that scene was.
We're seeing the war-torn Afghanistan from the safety of a vehicle passenger seat, the song in the background drowning out all sounds of gunfire and struggling. You're meant to look at the devastation and sheer scale of the conflict around you while listening to the music. You two are literally too stupid to get it.
>We're seeing the war-torn Afghanistan from the safety of a vehicle passenger seat
>safety of a vehicle passenger seat
What really gets me is that he talks a decent amount in the cassettes, but is nearly a fucking mute in the cutscenes. He just awkwardly stands there while everyone else monologues a conversation.
