Darth Vader's evil spirit takes over Anakin's body
>Because it's a creature from the smoke
It's a figure of speech when Luke tells him, "I'm a Jedi like my father before me." Anakin and Darth Vader are one of the same but the dark side took over Anakin. Do you understand? They're not the same person.
There's been moments in the EU where evil spirits take over bodies and shit. I wouldn't doubt it if JJ decided to pull some bullshit where the evil spirit of Anakin takes over his body while Anakin's light side is trying to save Kylo.
The concept art that's been leaking are assuming that's what Snoke looks like in film. People need to realize the concept art is simply concept art. The pic in OP's pic is the actual scenes with Snoke.
The actual answer to snoke's mystery is not going to be anything that makes any kind of sense. Certainly not anything that has foreshadowing or clues of any kind hidden in this movie.
They know they couldn't give out any clues or even have a sensible coherent plot because the internet would crack it in minutes and then it wouldn't be a surprise.
Except it doesn't in any way other than that they are both deformed.
Except it is, since it's based on absolutely nothing and is literally impossible within the universe.
You people are retarded. More retarded than the Joker = Jason retards.
THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY FUCKING SENSE
DARTH VADER WOULDN'T HAVE AN EVIL SPIRIT
HIS SPIRIT IS ANAKIN SKYWALKER
HE DIED A GOOD MAN AND BECAME ONE WITH THE FORCE
WHY ARE PEOPLE THIS FUCKING DENSE?
YES I MAD
>Andy Serkis says Snoke is an original character.
He was going to be a tiny fucking snake for a while so yeah, it's an original character.
>I'm curious how they're going to explain a dark lord of the sith popping up out of nowhere though.
>Darth Vader and Anakin are literally two different people. Anakins spirt became one with the force but
Pulled directly out of your ass.
>possessed his old body
Which doesn't exist anymore.
>there is balance in the light and dark side
As long as there are jedi, one would turn to the dark side if there are none currently, it's a fantasy movie you dip, doesn't have to make sense.
Oh come on. He's going to be someone we either know/ have heard about in the series, or he's a pastiche of EU characters/concepts.
I'm guessing he's some kind of failed clone of Vader or Sheev, or possibly another being created through manipulation of the force.
>Tell me it wouldn't be an amazing twist if it turned out Vader wasn't Luke's father AFTER ALL and Anakin was still around somewhere
Neither of these things make any sense and no, they would be horrible twists.
>TFA clearly takes some inspiration from The Old Republic
>Revan from TOR was conflicted between light side and dark side, just like Vader in both trilogies
>In TOR when Revan died, he actually split into two
>The light side part of him became a force ghost
>The dark side part of him refused to die and still lived in his body
SNOKE CONFIRMED VADER
SCREENCAP THIS POST NOW
It's Mace Windu.
>windu uses vapaad
>he's the jedi closest to the dark side
>uses his affinity for the dark side to redirect force lightning
>force lightning turned him evil
>finndu nuffin is his son
You're fucking dumb shit. A fucking dumb shit. A dumb shit. So shitting dumb fuck me fuck me.
I said the exact same thing about Skull Face and Volgin, but I was horribly, horribly wrong about that.
Snoke is a thousands of years old super force user and the progenitor of all sith.
He was asleep because of some Sith ritual or some shit like that and started gradually waking up when Sheev was killed.
The First Order builds an EVEN BIGGER STARKILLER in Episode IX that destroys solar systems no one cares about to show they mean business.
Your body actually disappears when you become a force ghost (see Yoda and Obi Wan), so Snoke can't actually be the physical body of Vader. They only had the armor left, which is what they burned on Endor.
I too thought that Rey was going to be a descendant of Sheev. I mean, fuck, I don't think Luke would abandon his daughter on some godforsaken hellhole desert to be molested by Simon Pegg.
Also, I'm thinking the British accent might be a clue.
>I too thought that Rey was going to be a descendant of Sheev. I mean, fuck, I don't think Luke would abandon his daughter on some godforsaken hellhole desert to be molested by Simon Pegg.
Get this -
Snoke is an original character. That's it. He's a random alien who was strong in the dark side and saw his opportunity to take charge when the Empire fell. That's it. We might get some elaboration on where he came from and what he believes, but he won't be a returning character or anything like
>Hurr durr Darth Plagueis
>Hurr durr Anakin's body possessed
>hurr durr evil sith lord force ghost
would all be retarded Shymalamadingdong tier twists:
>Stated directly by Obi Wan in ROTJ
Are you actually going to take Obi Wan's philosophical musings on identity literally?
That pretty much just shows how dumb you are right there.
>We never see it burn
1. His body disappeared when he became a Force ghost. That's what happens when you Force ghost yourself. Did you miss the deaths of Yoda and Obi Wan?
2. Even if his body didn't fade away, are you suggesting they stripped his old fucked up decrepid naked body out of his armor some time after Luke brought him down to Endor, and then just burned the armor, and in that scene his actual body is just lying somewhere in an Ewok hut?
This is how stupid you Vader/Snoke retards are. I honestly can't tell if you're just dicking around or serious.
So making Luke's and Darth Vader's whole character arcs in Episode 4 through 6 completely irrelevant is your idea of "an amazing twist"?
So Luke is in hiding because he found out Vader wasn't his father and he too became a depressed emo fuck?
Is episode IX just Luke and Kylo listening to emo core in a dark cave of Rakata Prime for 2 and a half hours?
So he took the helmet off, Died, had it put back on for the burning intact, then the fire crushed the helmet, while Vader burned into a pile of ash, and then the helmet was retrieved and the dent on it now corresponds to a wound that never occurred to a man that was a pile of carbon when the damage occurred. okay, got it
Agreed. Screencap this and save it into a folder named "screencaps".
He didn't call him "father" because he doesn't respect him and he's trying to tell himself he doesn't love Han. He tells Rey something like "You see Han as the father you never had. Trust me, he'd disappoint you" or something to that extent
I'm amazed a children's movie was too complex for you
>one would turn to the dark side if there are none currently
Did you take the Sith Rule of Two literally that there WILL always be two sith no matter what?
Are you perhaps retarded?
I like the idea of a recurring villain through all the trilogies, so they COULD do an ass-pull where - since Anakin was the chosen one and a perfect balance between light and dark - the light side of him could have had enough power to become a force ghost while the dark side of him had enough power to retain his body, which called out to Palpatine's spirit to fill it.
Total ass-pull, but we're already in for plenty of bigger ones in 8 and 9.
You mean the same "people" who will then transition to crying about "rehashes" and "pandering to nostalgia" in the event that he's rooted in the existing story? Still waiting for a single Star Wars fan ever to demonstrate even a basic level of self awareness.
>implying it's even possible to please the autistic neckbeard retards that constitute the Star Wars fan base
To me the one theory that makes the most sense is the one that supposes the Anakin creation story from Plagueis the novel is still canon.
In that book, Plagueis experimented with creating life and the Force responded by creating Anakin to balance itself out.
Snoke would be the creation of Plagueis, the anti-Anakin so to speak.
Another popular theory, Snoke = Plagueis, has its own problems, like how did Plagueis survive if Sheev killed him? Where was he all this time while the Empire rose and fell? Whereas this theory is plausible since Sheev thinks Anakin was Plagueis' direct creation and doesn't know about Snoke's existence, so Snoke could have slipped out into the Outer Rim (the place where you can disappear) and spent his time hiding and learning about the force on his own all this time until The First Order found him.
>since Anakin was the chosen one and a perfect balance between light and dark
>taking prequel garbage into account in a film literally made to make people forget about the prequels
Cast and crew have said he's ancient and in the novelization he says he saw the empire rise and fall.
So I suspect you're broadly right, but Snoke will turn out to be an ancient evil creature (not a sith) that revealed itself when the sith were destroyed.
Another weird thought popped in my head - this could sort of explain the similarity of his deformities to Anakin - if they were somehow spiritually linked maybe damage done to Anakin could have been felt by Snoke and even manifested in him as actual corresponding wounds.
>a film literally made to make people forget about the prequels
It was literally made to make money, they don't give a fuck about the prequels or the OT or anything beyond making money
Some "rehashes" make sense in the story, others make no sense.
Rehashing an old villain makes more sense than taking a very powerful dark side user out of nowhere.
But for example, rehashing a situation where Jedi and the force are once again legends makes no sense whatsoever.
Yeah with MGSV I too learned that fan theories are usually much more complex and interesting than the actual official product.
From now on I now usually see the most lame and boring spoilers on anything as the most feasible.
Fuck you Kojima, I hope you get anal cancer.
Possible, sure. In the EU (real canon, fuck Jewlo Ren) he has multiple clone bodies that his spirit inhabits after being killed by Vader. And since the new movies are just taking from the EU anyways, it's certainly plausible.
Any of those retarded ideas are better than Snoke being some random faggot who nobody has ever heard of.
>Oh, there was like, this OTHER Dark Lord hiding out the WHOLE TIME! Nobody knows about him though because he's super secret!
He obviously has some connection to the OT/PT.
>like how did Plagueis survive if Sheev killed him? Where was he all this time while the Empire rose and fell
He became a Force Ghost but desired physical form so bad he created a new body for himself using the Force like he created Anakin.
I'm not saying I believe that Snoke=Plagueis but it's could be easily explained, if the novel is considered canon
You're either fucking with us now, or you're actually a human being with a sub-40 IQ and the fact you've managed to gather the brainpower to start shitposting on the internet is astounding
that should've been obvious in the first 5 minutes when kylo ren does some OP wishfulfillment shit like freezing a blaster bolt and turned into pic related
They won't make him 'original.' VII already proves that they are incapable of making any truly original concept for these new movies since literally everything came from the EU (just changed the names). Snoke will be heavily related to Palpatine/Vader/Plagueis in some fashion.
>Star Wars will go the way of capeshit and Dragonball Z where every trilogy will feature a new, more powerful sith
>a Star Wars movie every year, with a trilogy movie coming out every other year
Can somebody describe Darth Plagueis personalilty?
Also, maybe Snoke and Plagueis are blood brothers, you know human/Muun shit whatever LOLZ.
Anyway and anyhow, Darth Plagueis is very powerful Sith Lord!
I know you're trolling but this is outdated as of 2012 with the storygroup remaking canon. There is only canon and non-canon.
Also, Sith cannot come back as ghosts as established by ROTS and TCW. This is why they're so afraid of dying.
>death grips (the band)
well memed lad.
I wasnt a big fan of the character but what the hell is unreasonable about freezing the blaster? I thought that was one of the best scenes of the movie, made everyone in the theater have an "oh shit" moment and was something actually new.
>Can somebody describe Darth Plagueis personalilty?
All we know is:
>wanted to overthrow Republic and raise Sith Empire
>thought the Force could strike back at him for abusing it
>scared of losing power
>Tell me it wouldn't be an amazing twist if it turned out Vader wasn't Luke's father AFTER ALL and Anakin was still around somewhere
Yes, that would be one hell of a twist. It would take serious balls to retcon one of the largest and most iconic twists in cinema history.
It's treason then
That would be cool
Which is why we can't have it
freezing the blaster bolt is an unprecedented feat, something I expect only a fully realized anakin skywalker can do.
Now I had no problem with this but they were inconsistent with his later force powers.
"The Force is strong in this Thread/Forum" Darth Sidious aka Sheev Palpatine.
Also do you think that my baby son is cute?
im not sure what that fag was saying but the force is a yin yang. and yes that IS canon. too much light or too much dark cause an imbalance. so since luke started a jedi school, he imbalanced the force and it tried to self balance by shitting out dark force users like the knights of ren
m8 it was a rule made by a sith lord 1000 years ago to stop the ingifhting for power and just have one apprentice try to kill his master whenever he shows weakness, it's not like there's a sith police that checks if you don't have too many apprentices
>Dont try to tell me about canon, you imbecile. You clearly dont understand how it works either
That's been a part of force canon. Sorry that your mother made you into a inbred retard.
thats how it works you nigger. that shit lucas said about the light side being the default and the dark side being corruption isnt canon and never was. it literally is a yin yang shit where they have to stay in balance because too much of one thing brings chaos. thats how it works now and they even give the sides literal personifications to drive it hard into your head that this is how it fucking works
Look here. If you are a force user, you either use it responsibly or you don't. If you feed chaotic emotions into the force, you get chaos out of it, which is dark side power. Balance was brought to the force when the emperor was killed and Anakin was redeemed. No more dark siders means no more chaos/imbalance. It's not a god damn yin/yang situation.
You know what's funny about your post? This is what a Sith user would actually say. Jedi Masters would think otherwise that it's a Yin/Yang type of thing going on and that every beings purpose in the Galaxy is ran and thought out by the mighty Force of the galaxy.
thats not how it works you fucking idiot. holy shit. talk about making a gigantic fool out of yourself
>Autist can't tell from a joke
It's like all the smart people will pretend like retards pointing out all the flaws while they're at it and these fucking faggot *tips fedora* faggots can't even use their own intellect to pick up something that it's a joke. Come on fags get it together.
>ITT: Casuals who actually think they know everything about Star Wars
You're all fucking cancer.
>faggots ITT getting upset that their headcanon isnt real and that the force canonically IS a yin yang
>literally a yin yang
cant have one without the other, they dont exist without each other, too much of either breaks the balance. deal with it cucks
>getting #reckt even before you make your shitpost
Pretty sure they were going with the orthodox chosen people look
they literally, in the actual meaning of the word, say you cant. and you cant because it would fuck the galaxy. the force would be crazy unbalanced. im not talking about individuals here
I liked it because it felt like he is an annoying show off. Of course any jedi could freeze a blaster bolt, it's just a waste of fucking time when you could use barely any power and just flick it away or absorb it. (ala vader).
EVen then he looks a thousand times better than me
WHY EVEN BOTHER LIVING AT THIS POINT
you dont have to like it you know. theres a lot of things i dont like, but i dont get a bitch fit and wrongfully argue that my version is the real one. you can simply just be upset that its not to your liking. take your autism somewhere else
No really, you take a planet with literal personifications of the Force, with the daughter being the light side and the son being the dark side and the father is the balance between them and their mother is some sort of eldritch Force monster locked up in the universe seriously?
Obi Wan was always an agent of the light though. Anakin died when he embraced the Dark Side, and was replaced by Vader. Thus his force ghost is a manifestation of how he was at his end. This is also why Snoke being a possed Vader's body also makes sense, because it wasn't Anakin's body in that suit or on that pyre. It was Vader's and they are different entities.
>hey George we'll call him Dark Sidious
>Geroge: nah too obvious...I-I'll call him DarTH sidious
>b-but George isn't that borderline retarded to change one letter to make it a more goth sounding, it sounds like a parody of-
>George: STFU TOLKIENTARD ITS MINE I CALL IT WHATEVER I WANT DEAL WITH IT
>g-george only a sith deals in absolutes
>George: hah nice reference ;p
this one's my fav
My favs out of the ones that don't include the arena's of course, that goes without saying
He didn't design it, but he certainly approved it
Anakin was saved but the dark side can be so strong that it creates it's own identity. KoToR is canon and so Revan actually turned into a force ghost while his slowly decaying body became the dark remnants of his power.
Read more canon bitch ass retard.
>nips when she was wearing that
look nigger you dont have to do this. you were wrong about the force, you were wrong about tcw. just accept it. rage against it, say you hate it, but dont act extra retarded to cover for your dumb ass
Why are people still being ignorant over the fact he looks just like the Grand Inquisitor from Star Wars Rebels?
The guy was trained by Vader, he studied the Jedi Archives and so knows all about them.
His fucked up look would be explained by the fact the fell into an exploding reactor.
hes correctly stating that kotor isnt canon and is instead part of star wars legends, which is the new name for the old expanded universe material. gisnep can pick shit out of legends to put into canon, but it doesnt have to be connected at all to the original material. for example, rakata prime as a location is canon, everything else about it and everything involving that planet is not
