Why do normies love to spend money on things they can easily get for free?
>>
10 bucks a month isn't much to someone with a job. Netflix has put out some decent content recently and I can see why normal people would be willing to pay rather than mess around with torrents.
>>
'Easily' is relative, to stupid people, or those with enough income,
the monthly fee provides enough convenience to outweigh
any hassles associated with getting things for free
>>
because normies don't usually open up their computer to get a bigger HDD to store videos.

Let alone plug in extra ones and know how to work those as well.

They just want to watch shit.
>>
Convenience. Netflix is not at all expensive, so its worth it. I also have a crunchyroll subscription but the last few seasons of anime have been terrible so I may cancel.
>>
>waiting for a download
>sitting uncomfortably in a chair to watch a movie

normies are norm

I think that's self explainable

You could have both, for what you can't get on Netflix.

My chair is pretty comfy.

Cuckd mofo. 10$ you could be investing instead of throwing away on free media. Enjoy being poors.

No it's copying. Copying ins't stealing you retard."

Exactly. If I print a photo of the Mona Lisa, I'm not stealing it from the louvre
>>
lets see if I want to watch X-Files I should download over 600gb for the series or just watch it streaming on netflix
>>
>>64502528
streaming is shit
>>
>>64502551
More accessible/easy, though.
>>
>>64502576
No it's not, and it's not hard to just tucking delete files when you're done with them or keep them on separate storage.
>>
>>64502640
why would I go through the trouble of downloading so many gigs (possibly terabytes)of movies/shows when I can just immediately stream it?

And as I explained before, normies don't want to buy a new HDD just so they can wait for their shows to download. Normies don't understand "personal trackers" so they can avoid DMCA bullshit.

This is just you explaining your routine. The question isn't about your routine. Normies don't do your routine. They really don't want to do your routine, either.
>>
>>64502195
because they don't watch movies alone

You wouldn't get it, free or not free, if your normies didn't spend any money. Duh.
Also, some people don't know/don't want to bother with p2p. Some people barely know how to breathe.
>>
>>64502239
Its not even close. My remote even has à Netflix Button. Id happily pay double thé monthly fed
>>
Because I can't text my 10/10 fuckbuddy "Want to torrent tracker, download, hope the file is good quality, play on my media player, and chill?"
>>
>>64502780
This. I hit the Netflix button on my remote and I'm instantly watching Frasier. It's convenient and I'm not poor. Stop being so worried about what I do with my own money you fucking lardass loser.
>>
The normalfags I know are legitimately scared of the FBI. Whenever I let it slip that I pirate movies, they all make a big deal out of it, saying I'm going to end up in jail or something. It's pretty funny.
>>
Just download an episode at a time, spastic
>>
>>64502845

is this a trick?
>>
>>64502326
>downloaded a movie
>we have to wait
?
>>
>>64502195
Because Netflix is ultimately far more convenient than pirating. I don't have to search out a good quality rip and then wait I can just press play and I'm good. For popular films pirating is easy but a)you need to wait for it to download, which is not ideal unless you know what you want to watch beforehand and b) if you have slow internet or there are not many seeders it can take forever to donwload

>>64502195
It has really good servers, no buffering ever
I usually watch shows on netflix rather than my private tracker if I can because I never have to wait
>>
>>64503092
The thing is that money in that time period will replace the big pieces of my backpacking gear that will wear out in that time. It's not a big deal to those with steady jobs but it's a big deal to those of us who work as little as possible to spend as much time /out/ as possible.

stinking plebs
>>
>>64502195

Because we are not cheapo theives and commies. We have money and want to support free enterprise and the marketplace of ideas so they can make more.

Also why wait 1/2 an hour to days to download a single episode in the mkv format that I can only play on my computer when I can stream every episode instantly directly from my tv?
>>
>>64502195
because some of us work for a living and I literally make $25 an hour so $10 a month is nothing.
>>
>>64502354
>NEET giving investment advice
>>
>>64502375

I get over 50 Mbps. But the average new episode of Game of Thrones takes several hours to see a HD mkv release. (Longer for other networks that sell their new episodes individually) and several more hours to download because everyone leeches and rarely seeds.

I live in Australia and make this stacking shelves in a supermarket.
>>
>>64502359
Nope. Downloading movies, tv shows, and anything else that isn't child porn is completely legal, or at least within the grey area. The only criminal party involved is the original seeder/uploader. But if the seeder/uploader legally purchased their content, then it is more akin to sharing if they are not being paid. VHS recordings of tv was not considered illegal unless you sold your tapes for money. This is exactly the same thing.
>>
>>64503479
Yeah, it's worse for other shows because their HD WEBDL counterparts don't see release until the next morning.

Whereas with a HBO GO or HBO NOW account, I actually can stream new episodes before they air in my timezone.

Or the actors could take less pay. They are the least important part of the entire process. They only get paid large sums so that Hollywood can attach them to endorsements and create artificial hype. Cut out their ridiculous salaries and the movies become a fraction of the cost.
>>
My dad doesn't know how to torrent and I like to give him easy access to movies and tv as he lets me live rent free in his home. Plus I set up a chromecast and he thinks it's cool that he can control his tv with a tablet. $9.99 is a small price to pay to give the illusion that you're contributing to the household.

I torrent ~500GB of movies, programs etc a month and I still have netflix because it's super convenient.
I share it with a friend so I'm paying 8$ for the HD /4k version. That's <100$ a year and literally cheaper than a 2tb harddrive which I'd need to save the additional stuff I'd have to torrent if I didn't have netflix...
>>
>meanwhile these autists have 2000 games on their steam accounts

>>64504640

Not a whole lot. Most people savvy enough to use torrents are savvy enough to use ad blockers.
Granted, trackers don't have a lot of data to transfer anyhow besides a banner ad and tiny images.
>>
>>64504675

For 4K it's like $2 more.
