Le hyped monsieur.
>Only friend I watch this with dropped the show when Eckbert tricked his son into massacring the viking settlement because "it didn't feel like a rewarding twist to the audience".
>Said once he heard Applestand is kill that he'd never pick it up again.
What did he mean by this?
I've read that the new season of Vikings will have 20 episodes.
If /tv/ does just one great thing this year it has to be finding her the right director and script
As if I wasn't hype enough
>mfw my ancestors stomped them
couldnt fight battles for shit.
>katheryn winnick will never beat the shit out of you
It's like everyone is trying to act super formal and to established archetypes because it makes everything feel archaic and authentic but Fimmel is the only one who really sells it.
That is usually the case, but since it's such a genre staple I think you simply have to accept it. You can compare it to how literally everyone wears the same thing all the time, everyone wears leathers all the time and the only color that seems to exist is black, black, gray and fire.
Theres something fun about it in Vikings. Probably mostly because of the main cast actually having personality.
Its really bothers me in, for instance, The Last Kingdom, though. I really could not stand hearing anyone in that show talk, holy fuck.
She probably had money and parents who helped her out. And it probably has something to do with preserving the ideals you've built up around them. When you learn shit about famous people you like, it destroys some of the fantasy.
Unless you just don't give a fuck, then just don't read anything.
>go from questions about martial arts to "have you ever woken up in bed wearing nothing but a baseball glove"
Who the fuck gave this interview?
>When you learn shit about famous people you like, it destroys some of the fantasy.
last season sucked dick. fucking predictable horseshit. oh boy i sure did not expect ragnar to be alive afterall! and the big reveal that he knows floki killed applestand wow how did he ever find out that the only guy who openly hated him because of >muh gawds killed him! bjorn is a horrible actor and horrible character and so is his girl and their whole infuriating overdrawn storyline. so is the fucking storyline about odin fucking their women back in their hometown. i dont give a shit about this show anymore. s1 s2 a goat, than all downhill from that point
>Try watching Vikings
>Manage to get through the entire first season
>Literally one of the worst shows I've ever watched. Only ever kept going because I was hoping it would "get better"
>Go to parents house and dad asks me if I watched it, told him I didn't like it
>Goes on a tirade about how it's the best show on TV
>Go see parents for Christmas
>Dad talking about TV shows that have gone to shit
>Ask him how Vikings is
>Tells me they had the battle for Paris, and how much they fucked it up
>"The show is be historically accurate, and I'm pretty sure at the time it was still just a giant swamp, yet in the show it looks like a normal place"
>Laugh and tell him I told him the show was shit for a reason
>Goes on to tell me that during this battle the kid gets shot with a crossbow bolt and "dies", then in the next scene he's just laying in a bed with a bandage around him, and how the main guy/brother (forgot which one) gets riddled with arrows and has a whole death scene, and then is walking around fine in the next scene
>Tells me he isn't ever going to watch the show again because of how much that shit pissed him off
Truly this show is a masterpiece, meant only for the greatest of patricians. Plot armor and historical inaccuracies with only deter the plebs, right?
Season 1 felt like they were trying to appease chest pounding retards while also keeping it relevant to the history channel but somehow managed to fuck up both so they don't give a shit about historical propriety anymore.
>the show was shit for a reason
>the reason being that Paris was depicted as being built on clean waters
either you 're a nerd or you 're trolling. eitherway you 're samefagging>>64484773
fuck off retard, i dont care about historical accuracy if the stroy is engaging and well written. it simply wasnt, it treated the viewers like morons who couldnt see the twists from miles away while the bulk of the footage was boring filler anyway
>i dont care about historical accuracy if the stroy is engaging and well written
you just read that phrase in a critic's site or wherever.
You posted a pic of my post where I point out that it was for this reason you dismissed it.
scripta manent spaz.
I have to agree it took an inclination towards game of thrones, but I hope that the producers are aware of that.
Do you think they 'll try to actually be another fit-in in hopes that Martin won't make it to end the story?
Normally I'd shit on you but I'm just as pessimistic about the next season as you are. Season 3 was an absolute disaster.
It was the worst. 1 and 2 were masterpieces, but the third one jumped the shark.
I'm looking forward to the show itself.
The obligatory 50 simultaneous threads of sub-70-IQ fat virgins complaining about women appearing outside of porn, not so much.
Do you even know what this word means?
They foreshadowed the snake pit forever ago and still haven't done shit about it. I was sure it would have happened by now so that audiences would be less attached to Ragnar and rage less when it inevitably happens and now I don't think the show can even continue without him.
yeah, it's what you're doing
but I get that low IQ apes like you have a hard time realizing that, but it's ok anon, one day you'll be a big boy with a good job as a forklift operator!
>calling someone a low-IQ ape in a mispunctuated sentence
I know you're trying to bait me, but really, that's just sad.
So did Bjorn's slavefu exist solely to get disfigured and then fuck off? Are we ever gonna see her again?
She wasn't even particularly horrific looking with the scar and Bjorn clearly didn't give a fuck about it so what was her problem?
>I've read that the new season of Vikings will have 20 episodes.
That is one of the worst things they can do.
One reason why people generally agree that TV has gotten better is because there are less episodes. Since there are less episodes and things arent as dragged out and direction becomes tighter.
Maybe half homo. Athelstan was the most important thing in Ragnar's life by the time Floki offed him but it was mostly because Athelstan had knowledge that Ragnar could use to his advantage.
