Killed somewhere else, driven to a burn pit, dropped off on the avery property. Much easier to carry a bag of bone dust than a dead body 40 acres away.

>>64468892

My theory is two despicable defense attorneys tried to set free a murderer by creating a false conspiracy theory with no evidence for it at all, then cried even harder when they lost.

And people think he's innocent because

>frustrated cops trying to get answers from an autistic mute is bad
>it took them a while to find the key
>some cops where involved in the investigation that the defense(and no one else) argues shouldn't have been there

Nobody can put those two cops at the scene of the crime when it happened. There is no evidence that they planted the car, would have had the car in the first place, or known where it was. The only answer for the FBI test was that the fucking feds must be in on framing some junkyard dog too. And all of this suspicion because one of the detectives got a phone call about Avery and didn't write it down 10 years earlier.

They fact that people think Avery is innocent and the cops must be evil fucking pisses me off, its nigger-tier.

>>
>>64472061

They probably would have still found it and found DNA in it even if he crushed it, it would have taken them longer, that's the only difference. Also if he crushed it it there would have been no doubt that he committed the murder, most people don't know how to run a car crusher. Besides, those things make a lot of noise, how is someone going to sneak in and crush a car in someone else's scrap yard without anyone noticing?

>>
>>64472273

Yep, fuel tank and everything. One person could do it, but it would be a pain in the ass and take quite a while. The choice between that, and simply hiding it in a remote spot in a giant scrap yard full of cars, not much choice at all.
>>
>>64470188
He's an innocent soul I think. Probably couldn't harm a fly.

He lost weight because kids at school called him fat. He wasn't aggressive.
>>
>>64472326

This is the most popular opinion around these parts.
>>
>>64472384

They don't crush cars unless it's already been rat fucked for parts. It's not their main source of income, but people will come in and say "Hey, got any 86' Oldsmobiles? I'm looking for a power steering pump" and then the guy will say "I dunno, take a look around" and the guy will come back with the part, haggle over the price. Once the car has nothing left to take from it, it goes in the crusher so it can be sold for bulk scrap iron later.
>>

>>64472561

The blood was cleaned up. The point is the exit wound from a .22 isn't going to spray blood everywhere like a .45 will. They make it sound like the whole garage should have been painted with blood. It's a fucking .22, it's not even close to being considered adequate for self-defense. Just google .22 exit wounds and see for yourself.

Here is a nice example. Sometimes .22's don't even leave exit holes, they're that weak. All Steven would have had to do is stop the bleeding with some heavy duty tech wipes that I'm sure he had sitting around in that garage of his, then mop up what little blood got on the floor with some orange cleaner or some shit like that. Really not hard to imagine at all, hardly the work of a mastermind.

I was wondering if he was learning the trade yet. Usually a young man growing up in that environment would be quite proficient in auto mechanics by that age. He seems to be a victim of the times, vidya, autism, etc..

I believe he didn't partake in anything to do with Halbach.
>>
Even if the guy was guilty, the most disturbing part is Brendan.

He was clearly 100% innocent. He had a bogus confession, that did not corroborate at all with any of the evidence found.
>>
>>64473338
They said he had a 4th grade reading level yet he read Kiss the Girls. Or maybe saw the movie. I haven't read or seen either. Was that scene that he mentioned (girl tied to bed) in either?

Probably not smart enough to troubleshoot and repair. Anyone can turn a wrench though. I am far from a good mechanic but I've taken apart an entire combine by myself using mostly just a set of socket wrenches. You ever see a meth addicts home where everything is torn apart? It's like that. Anyone can take shit apart, putting it back together is the challenge.

All in all, I think the state/counties did a good job of not losing $36 million and bankrupting the county, thus having to get bailed out by the state. Even if Avery did do it, they planted tons of evidence in an effort to make it stick so he couldn't sue again if he somehow won the trial.

There is literally no evidence that the cops had anything to do with this crime other than crackpot psychology laid down by two shithead defense attorneys that went as far as questioning the validity of an FBI blood test so they could get their client off a murder charge. If the doc was eye opening about our flawed justice system, it was from showing the lengths that these snakes will go through to keep murderers out of prison, and what the victims family, sheriff's dept, special investigators, and FBI have to do to overcome their court room shenanigans.

he didn't do the crime itself, but might have been involved somehow and was too stupid to realize it
He also had a history of burglary and animal cruelty, which are early signs of violent offenders. The judges and cops probably thought of putting him away early as a preemptive strike before he did end up hurting or killing somebody. Its pretty fucked up, but it happens. The test results were inconclusive, but the FBI agent simply lied on the stand and then even made preposterous statements about blood he HADN'T tested as well.

Steve was pretty obviously unhinged, that whole family were criminals/in-breeders, no surprise everyone hated him

but there is no way the jury should convict him: the prosecution never present a reasonably story for the murder, and never investigate anyone but steve (like the incredibly suspicious boyfriend and brother)
>>
>>64475257

You cannot prove in court that they purposefully framed him the first time. All you can prove is that they got the wrong guy, and they already did that. You can give Stevey some money for the inconvenience, but you cannot charge the officers with anything.
>>
>>64475509
but you can SUE them for punitive damages, setting a legal precedent that if ANYONE does it again (knowingly ignores other leads to "just get it over with"), they'll face the same kind of suit that will be even easier to win.

won't it cost millions to imprison two people for life?
If it's like $60k to imprison somebody per year and their combined sentence is likely to end up being about 100 years then that is $6million or more.
Wouldn't it be more cost efficient to just make a deal with Avery to pay him like $4million instead of risk this conspiracy, maybe the money would come from different places, i dunno.

alternatively if they were going to frame him, there's easier ways.
>shoot Teresa as she's leaving the property
>drive her car back to his trailer, with her body in the back
>honk the horn
>if Avery looks through the window he'll think she just came back because she forgot something and go to the door
>shoot him in the doorway
>carry Theresa through to the bedroom and dump her on the bed
>put the gun used to kill Theresa into Avery's palm on your way back out to the car
>park up her car somewhere
>cop buddly accomplice drives up in patrol car
>call it in, optionally do a bit of acting that they just stopped by Avery's place to ask him if he'd seen her then he got out a gun and they had to neutralise him

Just like the bullet DNA test, either you think its a giant conspiracy, or literally everyone involved didn't know how to do their specialty jobs, at all. And somehow this is easier to believe than what a judge and jury was convinced of, as well as the appellate courts and supreme court. Just stfu.

>So a federal agent on the outside of an investigation with no connections to anyone involved is going to falsify a blood test and lie about it under oath in a state case because...?

Because the prosecution never gives a shit about guilt, they care about winning the case. This FBI guy probably did this a lot. Something similar happened in the West Memphis 3 case where some expert on the prosecution's side just made up countless stories to win cases (not just the west memphis 3 case).
It's not some big conspiracy and they probably don't even intend any malice, it's just how the judicial system works.

You can read a few posts up that I'm not claiming Avery is innocent or that he's getting framed at all.

What is so difficult to understand about the detection parameters being shit?

Let's say that I try to find one of your hairs in your room.

>The diameter of human hair varies from .017 to .18 millimeters (0.00067 to 0.00709 in)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hair#Description

Let's take that as gospel truth for the sake of argument. Now I am going to look for hairs in your room between .008 and 0.095 mm in diameter.

I did not find any hairs in your room of that size, and I subsequently state that I believe to a certain degree of scientific certainty that there were no hairs of yours in your room.
But I never disclose the details of my detection parameters.

We don't even know where the scene of the crime was. The prosecution first said the bedroom then the garage depsite there being absolutely no evidence of either. That and the timeline is fucked too because of Scott's bullshit testimony and the shit policework.

There's enough reasonable doubt not to convict him. Maybe he did do it, maybe. In fact I think he did. But that ruling was complete horseshit.

There is no way in any sense of any world where you can search a building for days and then, suddenly, find something in plain sight like that.

Also the officer that found the key was someone who was just about to stand trial for being culpable to Steven's wrongful sentencing.

That key fucks the entire thing up so bad. I don't know if he did or did not do it but the personal vendettas of a small town government probably made it impossible to ever find out actually what transpired.

One of the biggest inconsistencies is if he and the 'loid went through enough trouble to clean up every speck of evidence of that chick from the alleged murder sites (whichever one, depending on which trial you want to reference), how could they be so careless to just leave blood stains in the goddamn victim's vehicle? I know that we're not working with masterminds here, but come on, consistency.

I want someone who believes he did it and deserves the sentence to post video, articles, etc. that counter the defense's evidence, anything that someone would say "the biased documentary didn't cover". I think the biggest indicator to me that Steven is guilty is that the police would have done such a poor job framing him.

They could have planted so much more evidence if they had Halbach's body and car available.

Police know how the investigations will be done, how people usually dispose of a body.

They could have painted their own magical crime scene with the time they had alone on Avery's property.

Pretty much how it happened. The kid cowers to adults and is given promises that if he confesses he can go home and he won't be in trouble.
>>
>>64480541
It was said that he was between 73 and 69 through multiple IQ tests. That is well below average and anything below 70 is classified as impaired and/or mentally retarded.
>>
>>64480266
>The defense argued well against all of those points

Not well enough, apparently. In any case, someone's gotta pay for this crime. There is much less evidence to convict the police than there is for Steven. How do you reconcile this fact? Would you lock them up on what would clearly be a much weaker case?
>>
>>64480716

Point is he's not full potato. He can read and write ffs

HURR THE BLOOD WAS PLANTED - Retards, 2016

How the fuck can you explain away Avery's sweat DNA being found on the lever that adjusts the seat?
>>
>>64480848
>In any case, someone's gotta pay for this crime
Thats Insane, soviet union type thinking anon. If you cant prove who did it you still think someone must be punished just because?
>>
>Stephen Avery on the road to a 40M dollar settlement with the
>"hey why don't we just put him in prison again"
>arrange the girl to be murdered and disposed up for a nominal fee
>police seize his property for 8 days while they plant all kinds of evidence

>>64480881
Go watch episode 4. The kid even lies to his mother about what happened. Early in the episode he confirms that Stephen did it then at the end he admits that he never saw anything that he wasn't even there. His mom asked him how he comes up with that story and he says "guessing", "that's what I do on my homework too". He has no bearings of the consequences, he is a complete fucking retard.
>>
How the fuck is it even legal to lock up a place for 8 days to search for evidence?

to be fair, so is the judge, jury, and everyone else involved
the only other option is they're treating a mentally impaired kid this way out of malice

That's clearly CGI mate

Why didn't he just use the crusher? Where was his finger prints?
>>
>>64481390

>>bullet with her DNA on it found in your garage
planted

this is the key to the case: they took days of searching to find it even though it was out in the open, and they never find another piece of DNA evidence in the garage

this is literally impossible, if he shot her in the garage they would have found blood, this is how you know they planted the bullet

which doesn't mean he didn't do it, but it does mean the police planted the evidence when they realised they couldn't prove he did it

Am I the only one who thinks the subject matter of this documentary feels a bit "reddit"? It being made by Netflix only makes it worse.

With some special classes. And a verbal iq of 64 and IQ of like 70-74.

He doesn't even understand the question of, "do you have any weapons on you"

The doc started filming in 2005 before Netflix. Netflix just bought it to stream.
>>
>2005 before Netflix
what did anon mean by this?
>>
>>64481649
That doesn't explain finger prints.... And you make it sound like his going to sell the car after a murder...

"Can't crush just any car! Have to make sure to find people that want scraps first! No questions about it!"

Is this some junkyard law I don't know about. Isn't Steve allowed to use the crusher?? He used it the night before.
>>
>>64481681

>fuck this is too obvious i'd better put some branches and shit on it

Alternatively, to allow us to assume less malice on the part of the sheriffs. Delete

>pull her over
>shoot her in the head

Replace with:

>teresa goes missing
>most likely killed by ex-boyfriend who had access to her phone and deleted voicemail messages
>sheriffs learn she was last seen at Avery residence
>fuckyeah.jpg
>ofcoursehedidit.webm
>sheriff finds truck, radios in for confirmation
>sheriff finds body near truck
>realizes there's not a whole lot of evidence linking this to Avery
>puts body in truck, moves it to a quiet place, burns body
etc
>>
>>64481613
What is that even supposed to mean?
>>
All the evidence can be over turnerd. I mean if this happened in New York it would have been a walk on the park. There literally are 0 evidence that can be admited in court taking away the bones which can be won by the defence.

The fucking judge says that he IS the murder while the jury started the vote with 7 out of 12 saying he is innocent and 3 people know that he is the murder

There are deleted mensages once she is dead that you need the pass and the username to delet and this creepo as both of them and he is not even called by the police

The judge allows a dna test that is known to fail and if used it should be used in every single spot of blood and they used it only on 3.

This guy has a machine that can destroy cars and he chooses to use some branches.

This guy as a incinerator and he chooses to make a fire.

Does not make sense and this is not even half.
>>
>>64475614
>won't it cost millions to imprison two people for life?
not THEIR millions

And shooting up a bunch of people on the avery land is a recipe for fuckups. how many people lived on that property?

I don't think the sheriffs killed her. I think they discovered her body, probably honestly believed he did it, and went about building the case.

And it's not like they were planning on saying that she was killed on the bed. That's just shit that Brenden made up and they ran with.

>spend 18 years in prison for rape
He wasn't guilty of the rape. He was exonerated on dna evidence, as well as the fact that the dude that had done it admitted to it

>supposedly was home in paper-walled trailer
So his sister or whoever didn't hear her being tortured and raped through that paper-walled trailer?

And the junkyard is huge, and the car was parked at the opposite side, and there's no reason it couldn't have been parked there after they left to stay at the lake house.

Any more like this series?

I watched The Jinx (Durst is the devil walking on earth) and Paradise Lost and liked them too.
>>
>>64481901

The verdict wasn't even controversial ffs, there was no hung jury or anything like that. There was more than enough evidence to convict him, you only think otherwise because you watched a biased doc about it.

Charles Manson was found guilty and the only evidence linking him to the crime scene was a bloody thumbprint that wasn't his.
>>
>>64482684
>durst is the devil
I can't expect the poor lowly pleb like yourself to understand a man of class and sophistication like Durst but please do not pretend to be near equal enough to him to cast judgement.
>>
>>64482504

You are fucking retarded
>>
>>64482734

well one juror was excused (?!) despite being adamant he wasn't guilty, after which the 3 who thought he was guilty convinced the remaining 8 and the replacement to change their votes
>>
>>64482566
>goes to evidence, finds Avery blood sample from previous case, takes syringe of blood, spices up the victim car
>At some point either before or after they leave to go stay at their lake house, drives car in along the outside perimeter of the property and parks it, half-conceals it, makes it look like a retard was trying to hide it.
>After the warrant clears and they get access to the Avery property, bring remains in from the back of the property, so no one logs you entering. Do it at night. Accidentally drop some bones while doing so.
>Place bones in burn barrel, maybe nobody notices for a day, place bones in fire pit.

Rest is as other dude said probably
>>
>>64482734
>linking manson to the crime scene
c'mon, anon
even a periphery understanding of the manson family murders can tell you his involvement wasn't like that
>>
>>64482806

For a family emergency. As for the other other 7, innocent until proven guilty. I don't think they specified but I'm willing to bet they all thought he did it but were ready to rule not guilty because of the issues in the prosecution
