For all the mermeflinging and shitposting that arose when the script leaked, the Big Wide 70mm Dingus scene actually worked extremely well in the context of the film.

A bad movie. Tarantino decides to limit the movie to the one room after a certain point which just makes it a bore. It essentially makes itself a play but fails to match the story telling required by such circumstances. Dialogue is poor and the who dunnit and uneasiness is poorly executed. Everything is told right to the viewer. The entire movie serves as a setup for the gratuitous violence that everyone knows is coming. If that's what you want then eventually you will get it but. However for those who aren't impressed by the excessive amounts of blood there is nothing good about this movie.

I don't care how racist someone can be towards me, I don't think I'd ever have the heart to do what Sam Jackson's character did to Bruce Dern's character. It's classless and heartless. Jackson was definitely not hero or anti-hero by any means.
Kurt Russell's character was likable though.

I thought O.B. was a really likable character. He was well-spoken, friendly, and goofy. I was really sad when he died, and was really surprised that Kurt Russel bit the dust to quickly too. I expected him to make it to the end.

Sam's character was really detestable throughout the movie, regardless of his history/motivations. I actually think a lot of the side characters' actors were very under-utilized. They all seemed really interesting at first, then didn't really do much before keeling over.
