>Say it ain’t so, David Lynch! As we await the return of his TV masterpiece “Twin Peaks” later this month, Lynch is making it clear that he won’t be returning to the film world again.

>Lynch hasn’t made a picture since 2006’s “Inland Empire.” Now, he tells the Sydney Morning Herald that “Inland Empire” represents the end of his filmmaking career. It’s a changing business, after all, and there isn’t much room anymore in the blockbuster- and franchise-minded industry for creatives like him.

>“Things changed a lot,” Lynch told the newspaper. “So many films were not doing well at the box office even though they might have been great films and the things that were doing well at the box office weren’t the things that I would want to do.

He's right. Sequels, reboots, remakes, and capeshit is what sells right now, and it's not worth it especially for a director like lynch to make another film and have it bomb at the box office due to millennials not caring about him. TV is changing, and it's becoming on par with the likes of film, there's more storytelling involved, more risks you can take, and much more. With streaming services like amazon and netflix, surrealist filmmakers like lynch can take their ideas to the next level, and this is only the beginning in my opinion.

X-Files had more variety and quality episodes, but no one can deny the unique nature of Twin Peaks.

I liked the X-Files reboot they did a while back, though I know it was rather divisive. I'm hoping the Twin Peaks ending is good, I wonder if it'll have a recap of any kind.

Well there's already so many movies in the franchise that have something related to Infinity War.

There's only one more infinity stone left that hasn't appeared yet and that will be in Thor Ragnarok. They've built up to Infinity War enough, plus GotG 2 took place like 4 months after the first movie. In universe, there's still 4 more years until they meet up with the Avengers and the whole Thanos shit goes down.
