I have been abroad for two months now, so a friend from home said that i must have lots of stories. While there are interesting things i can talk about, i dont have any actual stories. My days consist of me finding food, watching sights, reading the news online, and getting back before dark.
How do i make my travels more exciting without having to socialize with other westerners? (im not very social)
Dont get me wrong, i am having fun.
Pic unrelated. Im in Peru.
here is an 8 step program to a story
1.Find a GF
2.Find Peruvian trail guides
4.wait for rain
6.stay behind with one guide, and allow the other to return to civilization with your gf, to stay at his brothers hotel
>"reading the news online"
>looking at a screen while travelling
step outside your comfort zone. If you can't do that, drink until you lose your comfort zone.
Just go to a crowded bar and order a drink.
Still feel unsocial?
Order another drink.
STILL feeling unsocial?
You know what to do.
If your'e having fun then fuck everyone else and their expectations of what you should be doing.
You don't have to conform to some sort of partygoing surfer animal stereotype.
Just be yourself man and see the world, most of these pro travellers with their "awww man when i was in amsterdam" or "Thailand" tall strories are bullshitters anyway.
After all its you out there whilst your friends are stuck at home, so you must be doing something right.
