I actually started that way on dA. I was known for drawing a lot of pictures of a specific character in a relatively niche fandom. Wouldn't call myself one of the 'big ones' but I was a medium frog in a small pond. Did a lot of other fandom stuff that, to my pride, I can still find on the first couple of pages when you type in specific character names on the site. But they're not big characters. My most viewed picture has about 12,000 views which is pretty decent relative to a lot of other artists.

I even did 'lolfunny' comics as well as started a more serious fan comic but I abandoned it for my personal projects/work.

As for the tumblr thing, it really isn't my kid of site. i know it's hurting me in the long run because dA is kinda dying but there's a reason I'm on here now rather than tumblr right now.
