Ah, fuck. Well that was fast. Alright, since this is taking more time and effort than I originally intended, may as well copy+paste some of my thoughts from the previous thread, in terms of thinking up a cutie mark:

Alright, so. He definitely likes it when a plan comes together. He works with heavy machinery and manufactured chemicals, and he likes the complexity and violence of the process, but at the end of the day the satisfying part about it is when wood pulp goes in one end and paper comes out the other. Same goes for his pranks; he'll think of something, plan it out and prepare ahead of time, and the resulting payoff makes everything worth it. For stories, he'll get inspired to write something on the basis that he wants to read it, it doesn't already exist, and somepony else might screw it up, so he doesn't enjoy the writing process so much as he does completing a project, creating something out of nothing, which makes all the effort worth it.
He also likes making himself and others laugh.

So maybe, like...a couple cogwheels? Maybe with little smiley faces in them?
A droplet with like...a little sparkly on it, like the spark of inspiration?
Maybe like 2/3s of a scroll or paper, with the remaining third sitting close to it as a pile of mush? Like, starting with something amorphous, unformed, and scattered, and turning it into something useful? I think there's something to that, but I'm having trouble thinking of a design that's simple. Maybe like an origami butterfly? Like the whole...life cycle thing?

Or, I could just be overthinking it. If you some kinda input, like if you like any of those ideas, have one of your own, or just prefer the printing press/scroll one from that picture, I'd appreciate it.

>Have bit of advice from a lorefag who takes his canon seriously.
>>When a Cutiemark is an object it is almost exclusively from the natural world. Artifice should be avoided. Food appears to be a major exception to this. Nearly all non-food and non-natural cutiemarks appear for joke purposes such as Davenport's sofa and quill.
Then what of Mayor Mare's scroll, Lyra's lyre, Bon-Bon's wrapped candies, Suri Polomare's buttons, Coco Pommel's hat, Trixie's magic wand, Hoity Toity's fan, Harshwhinny's trophy, Party Favor's balloon animal, Troubleshoes' horseshoe...?

I'm not ready to do a thorough statistical analysis and dispute your point about the overall trend. But I don't think a solitary OC with a manufactured object as their cutie mark would really stick out THAT much from canon.

>>10174184
Perhaps a really, really abstracted pictures of rollers in action? Something like two circular arrows (the rollers), with a bunch of specks on one side, and a line emerging from the other side.
>>
>>10174337

I picture two circular rollers with a line coming out the other side, and realized that it bears an uncanny resemblance to a cock 'n balls. So. I might pass on that particular design, at least not without changing the perspective on it, or something.
>>
>>10174184
For frame of reference, the lorefag last thread was me DIO- sorry, I meant Splorch.

I keep coming back to the cogwheels you mentioned. I think it can be done right despite being semi-mechanical but needs a bit of adjustment. I'm thinking two simple wood cogs interlinked horizontally at a slight angle, with a drop of ink being pressed out from where they join. The ink itself being representative of work not yet created. The story still exists in the ink, It just hasn't been laid to paper yet.
>>

So, Pablote getting OC help in here makes me think some more discussion wouldn't hurt this place on the activity front, and keep things from just being a bumpfest between bursts of new content. I think first off I'd like to know how deep this place goes.

-What's the strangest (in your opinion) aspects of inflation you're currently into? Basically anything uncommon among most of the fetish's content, like specific part inflations or super extremes like uber. Feel free to post examples if you like.

-Bonus question (if it doesn't derail too hard); what semi-related fetishes are you into? Fat, preg, hyper, any of the other "get big" kinks, or anything that could reasonably lead to inflation like flattening/stretching/rubberbody.

Since it's probably fairly obvious who I am I likely don't even need to mention mine, but fuck it. Head/hoof/paw/extremity inflations are pretty much top-unf for me, either on their own or as part of a fullbody/uber inflation. Long-term is another more recent thing I've found myself liking, though I haven't really done anything with it yet. You know, inflate pone to blimp size or whatever as usual, but then keep them like that for a week or a month or something. I still don't like perma stuff though (and doubt I ever will), because I prefer for the subject to always come out okay in the end, by whatever means necessary.

I'm probably into all the other "bigs" in varying amounts, out of necessity from years when I couldn't find (or make) any appealing inflation content. I think I got into flattening for similar reasons, since the "spreading out" bit is what I like the most, and you could probably consider that 2D inflation or some shit I dunno. Also recently come to realize I'm kinda into stretching, to complete the cartoon physics rubberlike body spectrum.

>>10174840

Speaking of flattening, we can always use more people willing to draw it without attaching all manner of horrific TF implications to it. (oh god why is there so much of that)

If I ever get around to continuing another sequence idea I had (on top of the hundred or so others) it is definitely gonna involve some flattening, possibly of a pair of roomies-with-benefits you ought to know. Has been a while since I last flattened a pony. Pic related.

As for the discussion question... fuck, I dunno man, I'm pretty vanilla all things considered. Guess ponut/unmentionables inflation counts, somewhat. Weirder stuff doesn't show up until you start bringing inflatable clothes of some variety into the mix. Don't mind if the inflatee takes a while to deflate either, if the Tavi sequence is any indication - a soft and cushy airfilled belly & rump sticking around for a while following a good ballooning is very unf. Also, hose up the shaft, that really gets me going since it mixes in the aforementioned privates inflation with a dose of orgasm denial as the pressure just builds and builds and builds.

As for the bonus round, uh... pooltoys, I guess? And parade blimps? I dunno. The idea of being played with and puffed up by something that's twice my size or bigger and has a cushy snuggly soft vinyl/rubber belly to rest on and feel it lift me up when the toy/blimp/whatever takes in a deep breath right before pressing lips to the most readily available spot often tends to hit the right notes. There's also some other stuff that fits with that, but it isn't really related to the puffy.

>>10179817
Well, I just did something coffee related that you might enjoy. Another related piece coming soon

My taste in inflation is very basic and wholesome. I don't like the sexy-sex inflation stuff too much, and I much prefer someone's clothes stretch with them rather than tear off. However, the thing which actually isn't that strange but sometimes gives me pause for thought is the non-con stuff. I love confusion, desperation, panic, embarrassment, and overall unhappiness in my inflatees. Sometimes when I write this kinda stuff, I'll pause and be like "Wow. If this were conventional pornography, this would be really rapey right now." Then I shrug and continue.

I also really like it when the inflation is some kind of accident. I like it when the inflator is completely unaware that they're inflating the inflatee. I like when someone tries to help the inflatee and ends up making it worse. I like when the inflatee is physically causing some problem for another person, like crushing them agains a wall, and the inflatee is aware but competely helpless to stop it. I like when there's a character who deserves to be inflated more than the inflatee, but the story treats the inflatee's fate like it's a fair punishment even though it's clearly not. I like when the inflatee
gets chided by someone for either getting inflated, or for causing some problem that's happening as a result of their inflation like it's their fault. I like it when inflation is viewed as maybe worthy of comment but otherwise unremarkable by everyone else. And, I like it when the inflatee deflates around like a balloon afterwards.

As for semi-related fetishes, I like fat and weight gain too, sure. Not a fan of preg or hyper on its own. As you can probably guess, I think that cartoon slapstick in general is sexy, but rubber-body flattening, stretching, and mashing/mushing into various different shapes kind of stuff takes higher priority for me. ...Behind inflation, of course. Inflation will always be at the very top for me.

...Oh, this is Pablote, by the way.
>>

Still waiting on that revenge flattening sequence ever since you first hinted at it.
>>

Weirdest... I don't know how common this attitude is anymore, but I've seen people denigrate whole-body spherical or blob inflation—yet that's probably my favorite type. Not circle tool garbage, but stuff like >>10173766 or >>10174821

A lot of people say that the appeal of inflation is taking a character's natural curves and exaggerating them. But what appeals to me is depersonalizing them: the bigger they get, the less they look like themselves or even like a pony at all. Hence why I like spherical inflation. And that's why in my stories, either the narrator harps on the fact that the inflated pone is barely recognizable, or some other pone shows up and actually doesn't recognize their inflated friend.

Also, I don't really have any upper size limit. There are practical problems with keeping things interesting if you write or draw a pony inflated bigger than room-sized or so. But I still enjoy fantasizing about ponies inflated to the size of a city, or a planet. One story idea I've been toying with for a while is a silly creation myth involving a mare who gets inflated to the size of the entire universe, and just keeps inflating forever.

And get started with work on the next page of that second epic I'm writing, too.

>My taste in inflation is very basic and wholesome. I don't like the sexy-sex inflation stuff too much,
I sorta know that feeling. I used to be outright turned off by any stories with pony sex, but it was a real pain finding inflation fics without it. (And that was a big part of why I started writing my own.) In the last few years, I've gotten more okay about reading stories with sex... but I still feel like it's a failing on my part that I don't keep more of my stories at the technically-SFW-but-hella-fetishy level like yours are.

I guess the weirdest thing about me is: even though I'm mostly okay reading about pony sex, I still don't like seeing genitals. And my inflation art folder has a few dozen pictures that were originally explicit, but I clumsily edited out the genitals myself.

Don't feel bad, I fucking hate pony genitals. I don't like the way that horse dicks look, I don't like the way that people always draw pussies and buttholes protruding out, like they're trying to be anatomically correct. I don't think horse genitals are sexy, at all. Writing about it is better because I can gloss over details and not have to think about it, but I hate how often artists try to shove flappy horse vaginas and erect buttholes and lumpy, snub-nosed horse dicks in my face.

Full body is my favorite, especially when artists or writers show their limbs have become shrunken divots, just because it means they've lost control and become like objects, which is also part of why I like inanimate tf like flattenings, and some combination of expansion and smushing is ideal unf for me just seeing a character go through such extremes.

(1/2)

Basically, it would be a puzzle platformer where you're Daring Do. You have an AI-controlled assistant (not sure who; let's say Fluttershy because she's the perfect sub) who follows you everywhere and can't be hurt, like Tails in Sonic 2 or Sonic 3. Various water sources and air vents are scattered throughout each level. And you have to inflate Fluttershy and use her swollen body to get from one end of the level to the other.

Say, there's a pressure switch that opens a door, but there's nothing in the level heavy enough to trip the switch. But there's a waterfall nearby, so you push Flutter's face into the waterfall, wait for her to fill up big enough, then roll her onto the switch. If you need to travel up and there aren't any platforms or ladders, you shove her onto a steam vent until she fills with enough hot air to float you both up. Certain enemies are too dangerous to attack head-on, so you can fill up Flutters and drop her on them to squish them. Or you can use her body as a trampoline to bounce places you couldn't otherwise reach, or as a raft to float across water, or as a battering ram to smash through weakened walls...
>>
>>10193023
(2/2)

Some complications to make it a proper game:
-You deflate Flutters by jumping on her repeatedly. So whenever you use her to float somewhere, you have to be careful not to jump too much before reaching your destination.
-Other than the size of the room, there's no limit to how big you can inflate Flutters. But if she gets stuck anywhere, in a position where you can't deflate her, then you lose and have to start the level over. (Even if you could theoretically finish the rest of the level yourself. As much as Daring mistreats Flutters by repeatedly inflating her, abandoning Flutters is one line she won't cross.) So you have to figure out the right size to fill her for each scenario—big enough to solve the puzzle, but small enough she won't get stuck.
-On the other hand, you get bonus points for ending the level with Flutters still inflated. The bigger she is, the more points.
-In some levels, you find an artifact with a weight-gain curse on it. For obvious reasons, you give it to Flutters rather than carrying it yourself. So the rest of the level becomes a race against time, to get both of you out of the ancient ruins before Flutters grows too big and gets stuck.

I know jack about actually making games, which is why I'm talking about this here rather than trying to actually make it.
>>
>>10193044
I feel like you could easily add a dose of shmuck bait by not making it clear that flutters is the one who's supposed to be the balloon initially so what the player ends up doing in, for example, a situation with a steam vent, is walking over it expecting it to act like a bounce pad or something, only to find Daring swelling up into a blimp while Fluttershy just watches on, or maybe rushes in and shoves her off it before she can't move. Much as she's a prime target for use as a balloon, nothing wrong with showing a bit of blimpy love to Daring in return.

Also, throwing Fluttershy into an obvious rolling boulder trap and having to pull her flattened self off the ground and reinflate her afterwards definitely seems like an obvious inclusion. Maybe she gets used as a parachute before she's reinflated to explore deeper into the temple, too.

...if I didn't already have so much to do, I'd totally draw/write up something related to this.
>>

>Also, throwing Fluttershy into an obvious rolling boulder trap and having to pull her flattened self off the ground and reinflate her afterwards definitely seems like an obvious inclusion. Maybe she gets used as a parachute before she's reinflated to explore deeper into the temple, too.
I like both of those.

One other idea I had was a scenario where you need to retrieve a key from a deep pool of water. There's a pipe pouring water into the pool, and a hole at the bottom draining water at the same rate. So the solution is to stick Flutters on the pipe, and completely drain the pool by filling her up.
>>
>>10193283
Instead of just being a trap, what if it was part of the gameplay? Certain areas might require Daring to become a blimp as well, if a pressure pad needed more weight that just Flutterblimp, for example.
>>
>>10193438
Or maybe certain areas require Daring to get flattened so she can fit through cracks in the walls and open locked doors from the other side.

(I wondered about flattening Flutters go through those cracks, so she could open those doors. But letting her move while flattened would undermine the whole Fluttersub mood I was hoping to evoke.)

How about boss fights? I'm envisioning a scenario where you're on a rickety old bridge, Caballeron attacks with a high pressure water hose, or a gun that shoots grape jelly—and Flutters for some reason is tied up and has a funnel in her mouth. You can't directly hurt Caballeron. So the only way to win is to trick Caballeron into shooting into Flutter's mouth, over and over until her weight breaks the bridge. And during the animation immediately afterwards, the nozzle gets stuck in Flutter's mouth, so she just inflates bigger and bigger in the background as the victory jingle plays.

More ideas I just came up with.

Some levels are corridors with a near-constant rain of darts, which will inflate anypony they hit. Dodging the darts yourself often means letting Fluttershy get hit, or outright using her as a shield.

Another setpiece has ten water tanks, all hooked up to the same pipe, and Flutters gets her mouth stuck on the end of that pipe. You need a key that's at the bottom of one of those tanks, but you don't know which. You drain the tanks into Flutters, one at a time. Spoiler alert: No matter what order you drain them in, you always find the key in the seventh tank you drain. Also, you find some kind of powerup in the second, fourth, and sixth tanks—to make you think there might be more loot in the last three tanks. But there's nothing. All you get is the satisfaction of seeing Flutters fill up even bigger.

Got another one for you, though it kinda eschews the temple theme to take advantage of a notably infamous scene from Indiana Jones 4; Daring and Fluttershy find themselves on a pony version of a test town for a very peculiar type of nonlethal bomb, and in order for the player to survive it without getting blimped since obviously both of them can't climb into a fridge, Daring has to get Fluttershy flat enough to act as a blanket and absorb most of the inflationary radiation for her. Figure you could use a bunch of cartoony slapstick setpieces to get her flattened to the needed size (or beyond), rolling pins, ironing boards, clothes wringers, fold-out beds, and so on. Flatter she gets, the more surface area she'll have to get blasted, and the bigger she'll ultimately end up.

I swear I don't have a nuclear explosion fetish, I just like watching the atmospheric tests and subsequently applying the concept to my actual kinks.
>>
>>10197702
Mechanics-wise that does sound a little odd, but it would definitely make for a cool level.

Funny that you're drawing inspiration from Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, since my whole inspiration was the other disparaged Indiana Jones film. I want to write a loose parody of Temple of Doom, with Fleur de Lis in the Willie Scott role. And every scene would have Fleur getting inflated, and Daring using her huge body somehow.

Like, for that infamous using-a-raft-as-a-parachute scene at the beginning, Daring realizes the raft has a big tear. So she shoves the pump in Fleur's mouth and rides HER down to the ground instead.
>>
Any chance we could get some Overinflated Pufferfish Spike?
>>
>>10198536
Suppose it partly depends on if it's a sidescroller or a 3d platformer, 3d would give you more room to play with the set pieces and making it more visible as Fluttershy gets rendered flatter and flatter before the blast. If by mechanics-wise you more meant how the bomb actually causes inflation, I have done that research thoroughly if you're interested.

Also, while it messed me up as a kid (and not in a good way) that scene where the bad guy gets caught in the rock crusher just begs for a cartoony flattening scene. Maybe use the end of the minecart chase where the whole place gets flooded with water as an excuse to make a Fleur water balloon, somehow.
>>
>>10199165
By "mechanics" I specifically meant game mechanics. I was picturing this as a 2D platformer this whole time. But there's no use saying "No! You can't do that!" since this is just a cool fantasy at the moment. I also don't have any basis to question how a bomb could inflate Flutters, considering I was the one suggesting inflation via poison darts.

And the ideas just keep coming: At one point you have to use dynamite to blow through some walls. It has a really long fuse, and water starts leaking from the ceiling over part of it. Fortunately, there's a track and a remote-controlled mine cart right above the fuse there. So you stick Flutters in the mine cart and zip it back and forth to make her catch all the water—in her mouth, of course—so it won't extinguish the fuse.

When you do it successfully, the dynamite opens up your path, but it also weakens the ceiling so even more water pours out, right onto Flutters. You can move her out of the way, or just let her sit there and drink it in, until the track collapses beneath her.

Alright, so I know I just took a bunch of requests, but as it turns out I am a REALLY easily influenced person, because a single tumblr ask that basically boiled down to "maek mor bigger" was enough to get me to make one last griffon pawloon thing. More or less a sequel to the other one with the ??? tank, wherein I also cement Gusty's canonical enjoyment of making her paws into unusually shaped weather balloons. I could also nail down a specific aspect any of my other characters may like over any other, but I'll probably need to think on it a while. (Bang's is probably fairly obvious, though.)

For everyone not into this weird crap, this should (probably) be enough to sate my ballooned paw lust for a while, giving me time to get back to other things less completely out there maybe probably hopefully.

Also, I think I must have a thing for "floating away in the sky", considering I just drew it twice in a row, completely on accident. May just be that "open sky with scattered clouds" is an easy background to scribble down, though.

The game ideas are great, by the way, and my only regret is that they will probably never be realized.

Though, not to implant yet more ideas in your head for drawing, but now I'm curious about what might happen should Gusty get in on the whole socks thing, albeit with a pair that's a lot less stretchy and far more resilient than seen before, and she decided the logical thing to do is make her paws massive in 'em.

Upon further thought, you could probably design at least some of the puzzles to have more than one solution, to support multiple plays styles. If you want to see Daring get inflated as well, you can solve the puzzle that way. If you want to go full Daring Dom and Fluttersub, then it's possible to inflate Flutters alone and still solve the puzzle, though that solution is a bit more convoluted.

That's a good idea that I should have considered sooner.

But for me, a big part of the appeal for this whole ridiculous concept is the constant mistreatment of Fluttershy—who keeps getting inflated, even though she's done nothing to deserve it. So to stay true to that theme, how can we defeat Ahuizotl and the rest by inflating them AND gratuitously fill up Flutters at the same time?

Maybe something where you use Flutters as a water cannon, by filling her up and jumping on her so she spits the water out.

Or, I'd like a fight where you shoot jets of water at Ahuizotl, and every missed shot fills up Fluttershy instead. But I'm not sure how to set up that scenario.
>>
>>10211712
Could set it up in such a way that you use Fluttershy to block the jets off for you when they aren't liable to spray towards Ahuizotl, with the catch being if you don't do that or just dodge Daring ends up getting sloshy or heavier instead. Alternatively, with a bit of quick thinking and salvaged rubber hose, you can permanently disable two of the nozzles at the expense of turning Fluttershy into a massive water balloon because in doing so it causes those nozzles to constantly spray, reducing the effectiveness of the other jets.

Then I guess you could use another bit of hose to take one of the other nozzles and stuff it in Ahuizotl's mouth, or something. Maybe you need to have Fluttershy swell up enough so you can reach him by jumping on her and riding her up.
>>
>>10211108
The truly heinous villain could capture Flutters or other potential sidekicks and threaten to pop them. Daring "Dazzle" Do (as her franchizing is called, for some reason) would then have to choose between handing out her treasures to safe her accompliece, or race against time.

This is off-topic from pony inflation but I used to love the Railway Series books. I had a massive book that featured every single story but now all grown up I don't know where it is in my house. So sad. Now, though, when I want to read the stories again I just listen to narrations on YouTube.

Believe I had that book as well, or something similar. Ought to see if I can dig it up again. Been getting back into the whole world of Sodor lately, I blame GWR Studio's 'Goofs Found In' series. Honestly didn't realize that the early seasons of TTTE had an actual proper consecutive order to be watched in, even started work on an FoE fic largely based around a tank engine modified to also utilize a tender.

Anyways, getting back on topic, uh... tanks... air tanks... water tanks... oh! Maybe a locomotive's water tank gets punctured/rusted through/torn off by the monster of the week, and somepony has to volunteer to be the water tank until it can be replaced, or something.

Not relevant to this game idea but since we're referencing Ahuizotl, I wrote story about Ahuizotl getting inflated and flattened last year.

http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19808884/

Thought this would be a good contribution to bumping with new/hardly posted content on the /trash/ pony inflation board. Granted, they are in big paragraphs which I hope doesn't put people off from reading it. I have a rule where when a different character talks after a previous character, a make a new line/paragraph. The problem is that it lacks in dialogue and is more descriptive based so there is not many opportunities for more lines/paragraphs regarding that rule. I did try to break them up with more paragraphs but looking back on it now, they are still too big.

Actually, the story is based off the entire sequence of >>10189020 where Daring Do is filled up with water by a statue and squashed by a boulder (but not the last panel where the zebra takes her away) except it's Ahuizotl in her position.

How does this go for an inflation story (with a slice of flattening)? Is it okay?

Inflated body parts of any sort were meant to be played with, I think. Can't just let them sit there, you gotta get up in there and hug and squeeze them.

And I'd totally be like "nah, I said I was done doing pawstuff for a while" on that sock idea, but in the time it took me to read the sentence I already had an idea for a sequence. Plus, I already spent the better part of today drawing EVEN MORE puffy paws in the mere _anticipation_ of the Gusty sequence (which was more than worth the wait), in the daylight hours no less, which is really rare for me. So I think it's safe to say I'm probably well and truly lost at this point.

Heh, I always aim to please. Seems to be that I can always find the right buttons to press, once I get a feel for someone anyways. Truth be told, wasn't too sure of the head, but I am glad that it hasn't turned out looking too bad on the whole. Do think that having the tongue puff up at that size just seems natural, long as there isn't something else blocking up the mouth anyways like strips of tape or a hose, everything else is puffing up so why not a thing that'll help prevent any air leaking?

Though, will say, considering she's leaving entire mountains in shadow and just one of her paw toe things is probably around about as big as the entirety of Line is here, you'd be hard-pressed to find somewhere big enough to fit her inside. No shame in trying, though.

I ought to do up something to better show off/focus on the puffy paws at some point, thinking about it. Plan for another day though, got other stuffs to do for the time being.

Well you definitely hit the inflation ordinance on the balloonhead on that one, far as I'm concerned. I'll be the first to admit big puffy bloatfaces are hard to get looking just right sometimes (this one I did a earlier today didn't really come out exactly as I liked, for instance), but that Gusty's about as good as it gets, and on a first try, no less. Think I might be taking notes on it myself. And I did always want to try ballooning up the tongue as well, though I've never been able to figure out how to make it not look too weird, which given what I'm talking about is sort of an ironic statement, all things considered.

>toe as big as Line in the tac sequence

That's a lot more catbird than I was expecting, but remembering that Fluttershy thing I did it's by no means too much. Maybe once Bang and Line make their way up to her (provided they haven't been bloated by the blast as well), they could bring the whole house with them and live on her until she finally shrinks back down in a week or two. (... I may have to draw that, now that I've said it.)

>I ought to do up something to better show off/focus on the puffy paws at some point, thinking about it.

While I think you already know what my reaction to that would be, letting us both rest wouldn't be a bad idea, yeah. Like it may come to be that I won't have been kidding about that "overunf" stuff a while back.

A good rule of thumb for including the tongue puffing up, never use more than is really needed to show it off. Think of it like they're involuntarily sticking their tongue out as someone might do to someone else to express annoyance, just a little bit poking through. Except, yanno, puffed up and squished by the rest of the mouth.

Line and Bang ought to be fine when they eventually find her, the fallout from a detonation of P-235 is very short-lived. When the bomb explodes pretty much all of the atoms making up the initial sample fission out into P-radiation, which is in essence an alpha particle (helium atom nucleus) and two beta particles (free electrons) held in a semi-stable state by magic, that fuzes into an atom of helium when it enters a living thing, and always travels in a straight trajectory directly away from the blast. Hence why line of sight to the blast is important in determining what parts get really huge instead of just pretty huge, from the small 40mm grenades all the way up to the really big leaves-the-entire-town-blimped-and-raises-alarm-bells-in-Canterlot bombs. Of course, being in physical contact with P-235 can produce similar bloating effects as well, which means sprinkling some of it onto a chair a certain green-maned pone might sit on is a good way to leave him with a very swollen rump, ponut, and shaft.

You can tell I used my time in highschool chemistry classes well.

Also, definitely liking how that bottom pic looks here, once again you managed to put across a level of inherent squishiness that is just simply sublime. It's not weird to really really want a ten-foot inflatable soft vinyl pooltoy gryphon paw as a bed now, is it?

...oh, who am I kidding, like I'd care if it is weird.

>>10212951
Meant to reply to this sooner but got distracted.

I want to start off by saying the inflation was pretty hot. You've got that going for you. If I seem harsh in what I say next, I'm not trying to browbeat you into never writing again; I'm trying to help you get better in future stories.

"Make a new paragraph any time a new character speaks" is a good rule to follow, and it's outright required in professional publishing. But you forgot in a few paragraphs. The one beginning:
>"That's it!" the pegasus thought as her head darted straight.
And here:
>Gently he leaned his head to that side, snarling at Daring Do rubbing gently into his belly. Do looked back at him with a sly grin. "Wow Ahuizotl, who knew you could drink the entire Amazon?" she teased. Her rival squinted at the Pegasus angrily. "Don't patronise me, you vermin. This isn't the last you will see of me."

Not an explicit rule, but a stylist convention that I'd strongly recommend, is to also start a new paragraph any time you switch to a different character's perspective. That is, if your omniscient narrator describes Daring Do's thoughts, then make a new para before describing what Ahuizotl's thinking.

Also, paragraph formatting needs to be consistent between action scenes and dialogue. Either put a full space between ALL paragraphs, or indent the first line of ALL paragraphs. The way you've formatted it—no indent, a full space between action paragraphs, and no space between lines of dialogue—makes it LOOK like all the dialogue is running together as a single paragraph.
>>
>>10223497

I'm not a fan of the beginning, where you start in the middle of the action, with Daring shouting at Ahuizotl—then you take the rest of the paragraph to explain how she got there. Starting in medias res is supposed to create tension and forward momentum. More than a sentence or two of explanation wrecks that forward momentum. I think you could cut most of the explanation, leave the backstory implied like so:
>"Ahuizotl, stop! Don't you dare take another step!" Daring Do shouted. The tone in her voice made her seem desperate. She was trapped. Helpless. Vulnerable... She was too tired from running to defend herself. She may as well change her name to "Daring Doom".
...and the rest of your story would still make sense. Alternately, you could tell it all in chronological order. Start with Daring realizing that Ahuizotl is stalking her. Show the pursuit, and use that buildup to create anticipation for the inevitable inflation bit. Maybe, as Daring runs, she sees evidence of the ancient civilization: statues of ponies and other creatures swollen to large sizes, or warnings not to desecrate the sacred tomb.

On a sentence level, there are quite a few places where you over-explain things, and the result reads awkwardly. For example:
>Your only chance of lasting a few more seconds of survival is to run.
Either "Your only chance of survival is to run," or "Your only chance of lasting a few more seconds is to run," would read better, and both convey just as much info as your original sentence.

Or, this isn't awkward per se, but it is redundant:
>The tone in her voice made her seem desperate, as if she was trying to protect her rival from something.
Daring outright explains later that she was trying to warn Ahuizotl. So bringing it up now just telegraphs your slight twist way too hard.
>>
>>10223506
>the fountain of the clear liquid failed [to] halt sprouting from the bowl,
This reads awkwardly because it basically mashes three verbs together, two of which cancel each other out. You could instead say it "continued sprouting from the bowl" or "the flow from the bowl failed to halt".

(Unless you're deliberately aiming for some kind of effect, it's better to describe by saying what something IS, not what it ISN'T—say what a character does, not what they don't. To paraphrase George Orwell: No sane person would write "The not-unquick, not-unbrown fox didn't fail to jump over the not-unlazy dog." I keep that phrase in the back of my mind whenever I write, and anytime one of my sentences looks too much like that, I reword it immediately.)

When Daring stuffs the idol in Ahuizotl's belly button, you mention that the idol plugged a leak... but there was no prior mention of water leaking from his belly button.

Anyway, I hope that helps. If you have any other story plans, I'd be happy to help with proofreading and editing.

Wait, I think I've got it.

Ahuizotl captures Flutters, and sticks her on the end of a conveyor belt loaded with food (either fruit or baked goods), threatening to stuff her. The conveyor belt turns on, and you run over to free Flutters. But Ahuizotl shoots some long-range attacks at you from a floating platform, so you have to beat him before saving Flutters. There's a catapult nearby, so you grab food off the belt and shoot it at Ahuizotl. The object is to shoot the food into his open mouth when he laughs, and stuff him until he's too heavy for his platform.

Of course, with the conveyor belt's speed, any time you're not actively shooting, Flutter's getting stuffed with all the food you aren't using. And if you miss, or his him when he isn't laughing, then your shot just lands back on the belt. So the longer you take to beat him, the bigger Flutters winds up. And if Ahuizotl spends a lot more time attacking than laughing, then it's impossible to beat him without Flutters filling up even bigger than him in the process.

Also, as the fight goes on, bigger food appears on the conveyor belt. If it's fruit, then it starts with apples and oranges, then pineapples and bunches of bananas, and at the end it's whole watermelons. Or it starts with cupcakes and danishes, then goes to whole pies, and ends with huge wedding cakes.

I do try my best to proof read stories, holding back from posting straight away until I read things probably a dozen times. However, even though I can spot mistakes, as you have mentioned I don't have a 100% hawk eye vision of spotting all mistakes I may have made, or sentences that don't make sense. Sometimes I fall into the trap of seeing what I want or think is there, rather than seeing what is actually there.

As for paragraphs, despite following the "Make a new paragraph any time a new character speaks" rule, I did mention the situation of paragraphs being too big in >>10212951

>The problem is that it lacks in dialogue and is more descriptive based so there is not many opportunities for more lines/paragraphs regarding that rule. I did try to break them up with more paragraphs but looking back on it now, they are still too big.

Next time, and probably refining this story with the mistakes you have pointed out too, I will follow the "Perspective" rule as well, when breaking up my paragraphs, making even more paragraphs where I feel it is necessary.

Thanks for your help. I haven't written for a year but I think hearing from a professional writer, telling me what needs to be fixed, is the drive I need to get back on track.

>>

How large do you suppose Cheerilee intends to pump up Fluttershy for this class lesson?
>>
>>10233724

Until that barrel is empty, I should guess. Also, I remember when Envy drew this, she had three variants on Fluttershy's position and body shape and couldn't decide between them, so she posted the sketches side-by-side and asked the thread to choose. I really wish they'd post the other sketches somewhere, seeing as how they doesn't really go that far beyond sketching pictures out in the first place.

...And also cause the one we got isn't the one I voted for. And I'm mad at myself for not saving it.
>>
>>10233724
I think Cheerilee's already forgotten Fluttershy is there. Cheerilee's gonna switch over to history class, and then math, and all the while Flutters will just swell bigger and bigger in the corner of the room.

At the end of the day, the students will all go home, and Cheerilee will stay behind to clean up and grade a few homework assignments, and she'll wonder what that occasional moaning sound is. Then she'll go home and lock the door behind her, leaving an empty classroom for Fluttershy to expand in all by herself.

The next morning, school will be canceled on account of the Flutterblimp completely filling the schoolhouse.

I probably would have voted for the first one. Resting on their own belly, because their legs can't reach the floor, is pretty much my favorite pose for fat or inflated pones.

Though Cheerilee's pose in #2 is my favorite. I guess that pose, but leaning again the Flutters from pic #1, would be my ideal.

I voted for the first one as well. #1 and #2 are both wonderful, though. Now, if this was someone like...say...Dufel, or Graphene, or Trinityfate, someone who draws godly fat asses, I'd go with #2. But, as it were, I went with #1. I think it has the best shape and layout.

>-Bonus question (if it doesn't derail too hard); what semi-related fetishes are you into?
Vore, sorta kinda. Characters swallowing other characters doesn't do anything for me, per se, and anything involving death is a huge turn-off. BUT I still browse the vore tag on Derpi occasionally. Because sometimes a huge belly just looks like a huge belly, and the original artist's say-so is the only clue that the pic's supposed to be post-vore. And I can ignore the artists' intent easily enough and substitute my own preferred backstory.
>>
>>10251408

Actually, you just reminded me. I wasn't thinking when I answered the two questions, and forgot to mention forced/accidental vore.

It's a weird situation for me. Vore does nothing for me whatsoever. I don't see the appeal at all. But, you take an unwilling pony (or whatever) and shove them down another unwilling pony's (or whatever's) throat, whether that be by some cartoonish accidental mishap, or by another pony (or whatever) forcibly picking one up and feeding them to the other, leaving the two to awkwardly deal with the aftermath, and I think it's super fucking hot. I have no idea why. It's best of both worlds, unwilling predator and unwilling prey.
Something about the idea of having somebody in your belly, putting them in this frightening, precarious, and awkward position and it's completely 100% not your fault, and being inside somebody who you know didn't want to eat you and doesn't want you in their belly, and both parties freaking out about the situation, not knowing what to do, and apologizing to the other person, is just...UNF. Fuck, it's so weird.

...but so hot. And there's basically nnnnooooooooo fuckin' art of it that I know of. I mean, pic related is all I know of and Luna is more okay with it than I prefer. Please tell me I'm not alone in this.

There was also a comic where Bon Bon shoved two OCs up Lyra's ass without any warning. But looking at it now, Lyra was more okay with it than I remembered.
>>
>>10252541

Eh. These don't really jive with the whole forced/accidental vore thing. They're technically accidental, but not only does the feedee remain completely oblivious of what they've done, but I get the impression that even if they did find out, they probably wouldn't care much.

I appreciate it, though!

Anyways, second part a while later on, and Gusty's found the tank. Seeing how breathing the gas causes ponut & bits to swell, and considering for obvious reasons Gusty the Gryphon lacks a ponut to gloriously swell up, let's see what happens when she does the obvious thing she's going to do.

One thing Gusty has that Line and Bang don't, besides paws? Wings.

This tank is still weird, but at least it was consistently weird before.

I do apologize for any unf-related deaths, wyd.

You're a treasure, m8. These are great. Gusty is ultra-qt in your style, by the way.

I had been thinking about trying some ponut/puss only puffings at some point, with the pone sitting on their own ballooned up bits like that, just was never really sure how to approach it or how it'd come out. I'll definitely need to give it a proper go now, though.

Another thing I recently realized was how much I liked the way you do puffy wings. I'd been going with the "seperated feathers" approach I got from Balloontoes (>>10274003 >>10275406) and probably R-Panic, but your style of making them into a single big pillowy balloon is pretty great too. We'll see how my attempt at it comes out once I finish this followup to the Gusty missile sequence I mentioned I was probably going to do and ended up not being able to resist.

...I feel I may have overestimated how big Gusty got. Then again, she was at the dead center of the blast, and it was a pure P-235 warhead rather than an actual implosion device (which affects a wider area at the cost of size, so basically she was just hit with the inflationary equivalent to a 2-kiloton dirty bomb), so I guess it evens out. Working out the science for making fucking massive balloons with fictional radioactive elements is difficult.

Good rule of thumb for the ponut-only puffings, better to give their rump a bit of air too. Can see with Linework that her flanks are a bit bigger than usual, helps with working things out and making them look alright. Also can just be handwaved that them siting on their swollen privates is causing the air to get squeezed back slightly as well.

Either way, am certainly glad you enjoyed that little sequence, had been meaning to do that first pic with Line for a while actually and the rest just sorta came from the discussions of puffy wings earlier on the thread. Because, yeah, we definitely need more of those around. I like 'em both ways, just is having them puff up as a single unit is sorta easier to draw quickly and hugely. Not to mention making it all the easier for someone to come along and leap onto them to squeeze the air back into the pone or catbird they belong to.

God damn why is squeezing ballooned limbs about to make the belly fwhoomp out so good.

Better over than under, I always say. She's probably rivaling flutterblimp here, actually. Maybe not bigger, but certainly in the ballpark as far as overall size goes.

Air transfer is yet another concept I need to do more with, by the way (I swear that list is a mile long at this point). Nothing better than squeezing one part to make another bigger. Though I may be inclined to squeeze the body in order to make the limbs/head bigger, myself. But it's all good fhwoompy fun one way or the other. Need to sorta break my addiction to having the subject be perfectly unobstructed anyway, and do more stuff with outside forces interacting with their blimped form. Other poners, furniture, house confines, city blocks, whatever's nearest at the time.

Probably get the thing done by tomorrow night, barring unforseen interruptions. Then I can get back to putting off all those requests I took. (this happens every time and I'm sorry)

How many people here love getting scientific when it comes to inflation? If you do, do you find it fun getting scientific or does the scientific element make pictures sexier than they already are?

Honestly, I just do it for the hell of it, I don't get anything out of it other than the satisfaction of being able to explain exactly why what appeared to be an atomic blast complete with mushroom cloud left behind a massive balloon of a pony. Guess a part of me hopes that others'd take that idea and work with it themselves, but save for a few old cases it's mainly been me throwing the inflationary nukes around.

Only hard science covered by my stuff is the kind of stuff you'd pick up just perusing the physics behind a standard implosion-type A-bomb like Trinity or the Fat Man device, with some basic knowledge of radioactivity and a few liberties taken with stable elements - P-235 itself resides in an island of stability, a theorized point where elements heavier than uranium display a reversal of the trend to be more energetic and liable to shed neutrons, alpha particles, or beta particles freely. 235 isn't the atomic weight, it's the atomic *number* - as in, 235th spot on the periodic table. Of course, it's still unstable enough to undergo total fission when desired or the conditions are met (spherical compression, surrounded by neutron reflectors, striking a wall at high enough velocity, dropped accidentally, slapped with some vigor - it doesn't take too much for it to undergo explosive levels of fission), but it's stable enough to present a very long half-life. Not that most samples ever reach that point, usually being used up to make assorted pones and gryphs alike into gigantic town-sized balloons.

But really, I just like explosions of the atomic/nuclear, bright flash, mushroom cloud kind, and long ago found a way to integrate my love of the bomb with the want to make stuff huge, blimpy, and cushy.

I really would love to have a full-size pooltoy made of the Fat Man device, not gonna lie. The thing is pretty darn big.

For the longest time I hardly even cared about the whys or the hows, just the end results. Didn't even usually care exactly what was going into the subject, beyond the distinction of it being gas or liquid. Since my emergence into the light, though, I've started thinking a lot more about the more intricate details of this ludicrous fetish. It's still not as big a thing for me as it might be to others, but I've started coming around to more specific concepts and reasoning behind why pone get big.

I actually recently thought about making Line into some kinda secret/surprise scientist type so I could have an excuse to introduce all manner of strange inflationary devices into my little corner of cartoon physics fetishism, but felt like it didn't really fit her character very well. So instead I'll probably just introduce a totally different character somewhere down the line that can be the fetish inventor to fuel whatever weird thing I'm into at the time.

>>10288477

I've been following your stuff since long before this board was a thing, and to be totally honest I never really got the bomb stuff. Was always a hose/pump/puffkiss sorta guy myself, since I liked the more direct/intimate approaches. Just figured you were /k/, and found a way to combine your two interests. Sounds like I was at least partially right.

I definitely understand the want to explain things, though. Actually always tried to do that in all my non-fetish stuff; I just decided to forgo it when I got started on weird porn for whatever reason. Might be changing that soon now, though.

And though it may not be my preferred method of ballooning a pone, all this recent stuff you've been doing with my characters has at least given me a greater understanding of balloon bombs. That M79 launcher Night Strike gave to Line is probably a permanent addition to her arsenal, for one, so she might pull that out if a targeted approach is needed.

We may come to regret giving her a gun, though.

Would you believe me if I told you that, save for looking at some select archived threads regarding my two FoE stories, I've never been anywhere but here on this site?

Ah, trust me, if you asked me whether I prefer traditional, intimate ways of getting someone swollen or stuff like the P-nukes/inflationary ordinance, more often than not I'd go with the former over the latter, honestly. Hence why it's been so damn long since I last drew a mushroom cloud, before doing so for the tactical warhead sequence and again for the missile. Inflationary bombs are fun, but they're hardly what I'd stick with if given the choice; they just make blimping someone from range, accidentally, and/or to a huge degree far more manageable.

Really quite prefer hoses up the rump, honestly, as far as traditional methods go. Takes the sudden surprise of having something shoved in there and mixes it with the inability to easily pull it out to almost always guarantee a pone/gryph/whatever getting at least a little swollen, depending on how much can get pumped inside them while the hose is in. Plus it tends to lead to their rear getting that little bit more swollen than the rest of everything else.

Heh, well then, can admit that a 40mm grenade rifle probably wasn't the smartest of things to give away as a gift to someone with no training in the handling of it, but it shouldn't be much trouble in the long run. She's only got two places she can get ammo for it from, and it's probably unlikely she'll go and do something like make a more-than-nonlethal round as well. Leave that to the psychotic ones - like Night Strike.

Here's a practical application for the rifle; say Bang got himself flattened out like a freshly-paved tennis court, Line could come along and get a good start on filling him back into shape with only a shot or two, least until he's got enough dimensions that she's able to get a hose in his mouth/butt/wherever.

Figure I should try doing some of those dialouge/ministory things like he does from time to time as well, since it does help set the scene, and I need to do stuff that adds potential characterization wherever I can.

(I think the P-235 stuff takes a buncha time to wear off, but I could be wrong. I mostly just wanted to imply she'd be this huge or at most slowly shrinking back down over a really long period of time because hhhhh)

Sweet jeebus, that's even bigger than what I was expecting. Not complaining, though.

Definitely seems like you've got a good grasp on the little dialogue tidbits already, had a feeling that Interrobang was the more level-headed of the pair while Linework's the more openly eccentric. Looking forwards to seeing more, for sure.

And, well, P-235 after detonation just fills the target with lots and lots and lots of helium, so it'd only take however long it normally takes someone to deflate, really. Just, in this case, y'know, however long it normally takes a blimp the size of a small town to deflate. So, yeah, a month estimate isn't unlikely in the slightest, at least for her to get to a point where she can actually move about again.

Poor girl's gonna be squeaking while she walks for a while. Least she'll have some comfy swollen wings for a blanket at night in the meantime.
