Come joins discussing the slow but steady appearance of Masters of the Universe, Alienses and Star Treks!!!
Old thread here >>6482195
We need this motherfucker
>>6488389
Holy shit yes!!! That would be amazing.
>>6488389
>Kenner aliens line but smaller scale and super articulated in comparison to the originals
PLEASE ANON I CAN ONLY BE SO HARD
>>6488402
AND THEN IF THEY DO HELLBOY MINIFIGS I CAN HAVE HELLBOY FIGHT XENOMORPHS
Battle Armor He-Man in this bitch.
Been a long time since I've bought so much Mega all at once, was in Sherwood Park for the afternoon and it turns out their Walmarts are the only ones in the area so far to have CoD Heroes S1, Maverick and Challenger series.
>>6488419
That's a pretty nice haul anon. I love the challenger and maverick marines and odsts. The blue color a actually worked well for maverick series.
>>6488419
Show us what your challengers and mavericks are.
>>6488419
Let us know what you think of the Builders Forge set.
got the heman set and the Alien set. Im disappointed that the pieces are soft and gummy. Do they just not do the hard pieces with detail wash anymore?
How do you call this boxes? I'm not american and I want to get some of them.
>>6488487
bead sorter
>>6488487
The label on the front says hardware divider, can try that.
beast man soon I hope
>>6488491
>>6488498
ty
>>6488461
What do you mean the pieces are gummy? Like the armor pieces or all of the pieces?
Alright, if you could have anything as a mega set, what would you you want?
I want Xcom sets personally.
>>6488525
yw
>mfw bought one more today, it's out of control
>this isn't quite half of them
I just realised, Picard has the maroon arms I've been waiting on for Splinter from the Technodrome.
>>6488528
all of the pieces of the marine except the armor, helmet, gun, and boots is a softer plastic like some of the newer destiny sets
>>6488534
I want a Battlefield Bad Company one-off, with the Sarge, Haggard, Sweetwater, Marlowe, a pile of gold bricks and one (or more) of the following:
-the Legionnaire and his Kamov-50 (and one or two Acta Non Verba mercs)
-Zavomir Sedar and his gold Mil-24 (and a couple Russians)
-Russian T-80 tank with a couple Russians
We're dreaming, might as well dream big.
Any chances of other Mattel IP like Mighty Max and Street Sharks/Extreme Dinosaurs getting the Construx treatment?
>>6488596
The heros line was announced two weeks ago. We didnt even know what we got was possible.
>>6488534
If the Alien figures in the Heroes line somehow leads to sets, they'll be the first Mega sets I buy for more than just the figures.
>>6488547
>>Swap Picard for the CoD Bearded Mason head.
Instant Riker
Aliens beware
>>6488534
A series of famous movie vehicles beginning with Mad Max's V-8 Interceptor, the Blade Runner Police Spinner, and Buckaroo Banzai's rocket car.
I picked up the new hexbug space station today. I may repackage it and return it, because it's a little small for Mega guys, but it is pretty neat.
Got my sister some cawadooties
>>6488671
still looks good
>>6488632
... you're in for a scare!
Lmao at ur tiny knife. Honestly this guy is too skinny. Skinny legs, asscreed scale, pouches won't fit, babby knife. He is really really cool despite
>>6488671
That looks fantastic, could look cooler with a bit of dramatic lighting
>>6488487
Tackle box; hardware divider; craft organizer/sorter box
Try all of these
>>6488524
More pics of that sweet alien corridor in back?
>>6488526
Looking good anon, really like the setpiece
>>6488705
They do. @Saintsyn's pictures on instagram are what made me get the set.
I may pick up an 8 pack of diaclone pilots too.
>>6488750
What's the space station from? I see it used with so many lines and works so well
If you're in RI, the Cranston Walmart has xenos. I briefly considered buying them all, but I left with two. Four xenos total is enough for me and my budget at the moment.
>>6488750
The Diaclone stuff looks great, but do you know of any place to get it for less than $40?
>>6488534
Wheeled Warriors
>>6488534
Warframe
>>6488772
It's just you have to buy them in big packs.
>>6488534
Elder Scrolls! All the swappable equipment and weapons. It would be perfect.
Also Hellboy and Aliens. Fingers crossed on those ones.
>>6488787
I couldn't care less about Elder Scrolls, but much like CoD, which I also don't care for, they'd be just generic enough to still appeal to me just as a fantasy line.
>>6488793
Understandable. And that's why it would be another great license for them to get. I've never played a single CoD game and have a shit ton of them.
>>6488534
for them to do warcraft right
found some in duchess county NY
Is it just me or did mega actually do well for these thing's distribution?
>>6488826
Halo new ODST drop pod, Colonial Marine, TMNT Movie Foot Soldier, Cod Capt Reyes, & Monster High Skelita Scaled to each other
>>6488829
Yeah, seems like they fucked promotion but nailed distribution
>>6488831
Do the monster high dolls share the same waist to torso connecter as he other lines? I wanna make a bayonnetta
>>6488714
>>6488718
Thanks. One day I'll consider my base finished and Ill image dump here
>>6488835
here's a quick breakdown of halo, cod, & monster high figs
>>6488875
leg/ waist connectors look all relative in scale
>>6488534
There's probably tons of things but Kamen Rider (and Sentai) keeps coming back to me as what could have been.
>>6488878
and torso connections look relative as well.
don't think there will be any issues with swapping between them
Went back to Walmart after picking up He-Man and Skeletor earlier, and the figures had been completely picked over. Luckily I was able to pick up the last Xenomorph.
Great figure but the claw that was already strapped onto his arm was loose and broke when i tried readjusting it so be careful since it's hard plastic. Thankfully the hands look fine. Asides from that it's an absolutely beautiful recreation of the Alien(great accessories too).
>>6488596
Mighty max more so than Street Sharks and Extreme Dinosaurs I would think. Max would probably utilize the kid bpdies we saw in those Beyond displays at NYTF, only having the basic 5 points of articulation.
I didn't think about it until I saw something at the technodrome forums but a Usagi and Jei figure would be awesome in the heroes line but I guess they'd need new feet along with new heads. Of course I doubt they have the rights to do them.
>>6488887
*The tail is awesome for balancing, too!
Tiny Skeletor is so much fun.
>>6488887
Oh you had the same issue? I thought I was the only one who had already broken it, what side was the claw on anon?
I like the alien but the colonial marine is a weak figure, really only good for display with the alien
>>6488452
Sorry for the delay, here's my haul. Already made cheat sheets with the codes, here's hoping the Walmarts around me will finally start getting some in.
>>6488458
I opened it up and my first impressions are overall good, though tempered by an apparent omission. When I first heard about the set there were people complaining that it seemed overpriced, and based on the box art one could see where they're coming from. Going by the price per piece count ($30Cdn for 383 pieces, or 8 cents/piece) it's pretty decent, a lot of the parts aren't actually used in the Mongoose and barricade build.
Looking over the parts list there's bits included primarily for the rebuild ideas but this is where the omission comes in. The instructions booklet has the box cover build and Spartan helmet build, but none of the rest. One of the pages seems to imply that the other builds' instructions can be downloaded from megaconstrux.com somewhere but I haven't been able to find that anywhere, the pdf for the set just has the same pages as the booklet. If anyone knows where to find them I'd like to know, wanted to try the mini Scorpion and Pelican builds and while I could probably reverse-engineer them it'd be nice to have the instructions.
>>6489013
I think he works much better with a CoD body. The bulky armor on the smaller Halo scale just makes him look cartoonishly stocky.
Not a bad haul. The Borg are really fun. Might pick up a Picard too.
>>6489056
What are the legs on your goat head Skeletor?
>>6489076
They look like one of the Halo Storm Elite minor/Zealot legs.
Happened to see the new heroes line in walmart tonight and picked up a xenomorph. Hadn't even heard about these figs and can't find any more info about them online. Are there going to be any sets, however minimal, for these figs? I didn't see anything in walmart tonight other than the figs. Skeletor and he-man looked really good and the xenomorph is about as cool as it gets.
>>6489056
Oh shit, that's a nice pic.
>>6489099
As of right now, they're just standalone figures from franchises MC has rights to. They've said that there are currently no plans for sets, but I have to imagine that the hero line is basically testing the waters for branching out.
Give me one good reason why I shouldn't go back and get all the xenomorphs the store had
>>6489114
Because that'd make you a big meanie pants >:(
>>6489114
You have no reason not to. Today's haul, I'm happy.
I snagged some Halo dudes instead of the Marine but I'll get him and Picard next time. I got the Borg despite knowing fuck nothing about Trek, and the figure is good enough that I just want Picard to go with it.
Damn, Mega is stepping it up. I reeeeally hope to see Predator and Hellboy..fingers crossed.
>>6488367
>Aliens
When are these expected to be everywhere. I need them
>>6488671
Keep it that's great
Resident Evil
Metal Gear Solid
Dark Souls
>>6489171
And are these also at Target or is it only Walmart?
I know it's a literally impossible but I would like to see a Lost Planet line considering that there are mechs and monsters to accompany the minifigs.
>>6489056
Goat head Skeletor..
Goat legs...
Think about the other Doom mod someone made..
is Marine Doomguy?
>>6488976
The one that was already attached to the arm in the packaging
>>6488534
Characters from popular fighting games, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and Soul Calibur.
Characters from horror movies, like Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, werewolves, vampires, mummies, and fully articulated zombies, etc.
>>6489114
Other than saving some for your fellow collectors, there really isn't any reason not to. If these really are a toe-in-the-water for a potential Aliens set the more sold the better.
>>6489506
Mortal Kombat would be incredible
DC super heroes too
>>6489181
>Metal Gear Solid
Are we doing /foxdie/ general again, guys?
>>6489372
Me too, the heroes sets aren't in the online system either so I can't get a replacement yet
>>6489181
>Dark Souls
Anon please I can only get so erect
Any of you guys fuck with these Kubros? They're kind of stupid looking but they've been slowly going on clearance. Got this He-man for 5 bucks. I also have a Terminator i haven't built.
>>6489741
I cant justify buying them. I dont like the kubros themselves and Ive yet to see one with pieces I need to finish my own things
Still no sign of these guys anywhere in Colorado. I guess they've hit the shelves on the coasts & the trucks are slowly moving inward towards the Rocky Mountains.
If anyone has that Reaction 3 3/4" Ripley/Queen Alien two pack: does it seem like that would be a good Queen Alien to scale with these Mega xenomorphs?
>>6489741
I have the alien and ripley. They are goods for keeping on the desk at work and shit like that. I plan on getting the motuc ones when they go on clearance.
>>6489741
He turned out pretty cool. Still looks stupid but in an endearing kind of way. Neck and shoulders are articulated which i didn't know. Definitely worth 5 dollars but not much more.
I don't even like MOTU why do I love this little guy so much
>>6489819
Sometimes shit just looks cool and is fun to play with.
>>6488534
The cancelled Assassins Creed 1 battle pack with two archers, templar and Altair.
I really don't care about anything else except maybe a straight up Metal Gear line though it's quite easy to kitbash them through Call of Duty and the TMNT 2 movie Ninjas already.
>>6489544
I suppose so
The squad so far
operation demon girl is going well lads
>>6490091
Mega Construx Agony when?
Welp I went to two of the 3 walmarts in my area and bought 7 more xenomorphs along with a marine, skeletor and he man. Skeletor looks really good to me Still not sure if I want a picardo or borg. I think 8 aliens is enough for me How customizable are these things? Might pick up a pair of marines and customize them with some call of duty fig pieces. I wish I could build a little scene for each of these series. Bet the xenos will dry up real quick and picard will pegwarm.
He-Man and Skeletor have me interested in this line. How modularly can you break these figures down? For example, can you pop the shoulders of the torso without needing to crack it open? And separate the torso and crotch as well? Same with the hands?
>>6490134
Here's the effective breakdown of skeletor, most figures share the same breakdown, hands come out of forearms too but I didn't feel like doing that
Wow i have to say that the halo war marines are pretty good, They look futuristic but just Plain enough to fit into any situation i want.
Although i don't really like the Halo vehicles so Ill try pairing them with Call of duty vehicles and maybe get the WW2 tank.
>>6490162
Greatly appreciate the breakdown. Is it possible to heat up and pop out the shoulder assembly from the bicep, and the elbow assembly from the forearm? If so these will be awesome for some custom ideas I have.
Hyped for the inevitable Aliens and MOTU building sets
>>6490191
Possibly but I've never seen ANYONE try it
>>6490199
I hope they materialize but I'm really doubtful it'll happen. More aliens would be great.
>>6490214
Hopefully that one new space line actually comes out, because it sorta kinda has aesthetics of the original Alien movie, and I think you could have a good setup with that and some Xenos.
Picked up the ST TOS "Day of the Dove"/Engineer Room box set from Ollies for $6.
If you want some decent custom fodder material, the Scotty/Chekov heads are worth checking out.
That said, I really am thinking about picking up a spare set and using the Chekov head for an Alfred Bester custom. Anyone got any recommendations for a body to use for Babylon 5's infamous bastard?
>>6490230
Who the hell is Alfred Bester?
>>6490191
That hands pop out pretty easy too.
I tried to get the other half of the elbow assembly off a figure earlier today and gave up. You'd probably have to heat it up to do so.
>>6490231
I'm guessing a character on Babylon 5.
Also how many waves of the other Heroes (CoD, Halo) have we gotten so far?
Just discovered He-Man has a holster on his back for his sword!
>>6490240
Cod is on series 2, Halo has series 5 pending. I'll get around to making one of these for the Heroes sometime.
Loving all the pics these figures are fucking great
>>6490262
>cod is on series 2
You fucking what now? I've only even heard of series 1
>>6490265
I know right, only found series 1 here for the first time yesterday. They aren't out yet I guess but these came off amazon.
>>6490266
>That pilot and combat medic.
Almost makes me want to run out and get the Air Strike Ace.
>>6490275
That has smaller titties anon :^)
>>6490266
Those bases are actually really cool
>>6490373
They've been issued for a while in CoD sets.
>>6490266
I will buy every fucking hazmat guy I see. And the gray camo body is a Firefly and Wolf Squad Hit n Run waiting to happen.
>>6488410
Do want.
>>6490798
Anon nobody knows because Mega hasn't said shit, the best you can do is to continuously check your local stores
>>6488626
Oh shit I gotta do this.
>>6489127
>the reason why I can only find marines and no aliens so far
Fukk u army build anon
>>6490798
Brickseek dot com is pretty good for checking inventory at Target and walmart.
>>6490997
Anybody know the DCPIs for the new ones?
Is there any sculpting on Picard's hair or is it just paint? I realized his head would work well for Destro if there's no sculpted hair. He would even look a bit like the Eccleston Destro movie toy, which is one of my favorite Destros.
Any idea what's going to be in the second wave of the Pokémon sets?
>>6491106
Probably some Pokémon
>>6491106
>>6491127
that's pretty ambitious, getting all the early shitmons done before the popular ones
>>6491127
i really hope its doing a lot better than what Ionix was doing
>>6491127
>that low effort Geodude
>>6488534
Fallout
Metroid
Jojo (I just want Joestar and stand minifigures)
And maybe some obscure shit like Dark Crystal.
>>6488534
Whatever this is.
>>6491127
That paras is adorable
>>6488555
I feel ya but I'm more feeling battlefield 4
>>6491015
The site lets you search for those. Should be a link right above where you type it in.
>>6491157
>less parts than Magikarp
>same price as the rest
Well fuck I broke the middle claw removing my xenomorphs hand from the package. I was being careful too
>>6488534
Legend of Zelda, have a line of just blind bags either each game game as a series or a series of just Links. Each of the bosses could be a set all their own, each set's Link would have the equipment from that dungeon.
I would buy the shit out of a line dedicated to OoT, MM, LttP, and BotW.
>>6488787
I would kill for an elder scrolls line. As long as it isn't just Skyrim I would pick up every set, multiple times of they had the right army building set.
>>6488881
Kamen Rider would be dope, I myself just started watching Sentai with Amazon and KyuuRangers and both those series need sets.
>>6489506
I could see a few lines of blind bags, I don't see many sets that arnt just scenes of the monsters attacking "survivors" unless they get a line of camp counselors from the two Friday the 13th games.
>>6491391
Fallout would do very well.
Metroid I could see doing well if its a small line.
Jojo has gotten enough of a fan base I could see these doing well on a smaller niche run
Dark Crystal would be cool but a entire Jim Henson line would be at the top of my buy list.
>>6491531
OoT Ganondorf and Fierce Deity link would be top priority for me.
But yeah, a general Jim Henson line would be pretty sick, SkekSil Chamberlain, Jen, Ludo, Jareth, Kermit the Frog.
>>6491548
>Jareth, Kermit the Frog.
If you don't have them on top of a hill surrounded by bodies in glorious battle then you wasted the money.
>>6491510
Damn i guess youll have to buy another!
>>6489050
Dude these figs look so good. havent seen any challenger or maverick and they have the best figures by far.
>>6491640
It's Sunday anon, and the new sets aren't in whatever database that lets you order replacement parts
>>6491548
If Link figures where Halo/Asscreed scale and Ganondorf was taller with CoD/Destiny legs then theyd be perfect
All the stores in my area, 215 west, removed all Blue teams, ODST droppods, and recent waves.
Replaced their spots with more warrior series and a ton of sgt forges.
Grabbed a Colonial Marine & Xeno last night, fuckin glad I did now.
Why the fuck are these suburban stores such shit.
Found TMNT series 5 at a Dollarama in Canada. Got my wolf thing (his name eludes me, the ultra rare) and Gold Shredder. Wolf's code has 28, Shredder has 27. April was there too but I don't like the lack of articulation in the arms, her code has 29.
At another Dollarama I also found a cool CoD "Jetpack Fighter", along with a couple zombies. Skipped the zombies but got Jetpack friend, and ya, didn't notice how much bigger they were.
>>6491616
I went out this morning and picked up 3 more bringing me to 11
Goddamn, I got the itch. Really wouldn't be hard to make Man-At--Arms with a movie Turtle and orange Halo armor...
>>6492010
Well now I really hope they do more Motu because teaming them up with Transformers will be amazing.
>>6492010
The halo armor doesn't actually fit unfortunately.
>>6492010
This works really well
>>6491840
>215 west
PA?
>>6488367
WHERE IN THE NETHERLANDS CAN I GET SOME MEGA CONSTRUX HALO HEROES??
>>6492183

>>6492201
>>6488367
>All this new Mega Stuff
>tfw STILL won't find the Destiny stuff
I finally found wave 2 like a month ago...and it was only the sparrows.
>buy Wasp Strike brand new
>open box
>no figures, guns, or ship canopy
Fuck me.
>>6492299
hOw? What the fuck man
>>6492299
Damn. I had a similar experience with the lights&sounds Cobra, one of the bags of parts was missing, took it back to TRU an exchanged it so there was a happy ending.
He's not perfect but he's good enough for me. And you can't say he's not recognizable. At least He-man has someone to pal around with now.
>>6492299
The box was sealed? All those are in one baggie together, so that's why those are all missing. Whoever you bought it from probably won't like the excuse oh but all the mini figures were missing. I guess you can just say missing parts and call it a day.
>>6492352
Box was sealed.
>>6488534
Just Cause 2 or 3
>>6492343
Nice work. I'm hopeful they'll keep making more. Man-at-Arms and Tri-Klops (or Trapjaw), Teela and Evil-lyn, etc. I'd love if this line would become expansive, even if it's just minifigures and no sets (though a lot of them are very well suited, but without media I can see how entire sets might not work).
>>6492343
Yes! That's awesome!
Alright /megabros/ im gonna try to get some good halo and xenomorph pics during the eclipse tomorrow
If you had to choose one line to end production of new figures/sets in order for one of the 'heroes' series IPs to start getting it's own line, which ones would you choose?
Personally I'd end TMNT and begin MOTU
>>6488671
Saw this on Instagram today.
I know who you are now.
>>6488534
Pic related, but indirectly: I want a Fallout line.
>>6492642
I'd say goodbye to Destiny for MotU or Dino Riders
>>6492689
George Miller refuses to sell toy rights for Mad Max :/
Anyone know where to get the diaclone reboot stuff that was posted in the last thread?
Google doesn't seem to come up with anything.
>>6492642
I'd end Destiny for Alien sets
Was gonna say I'd end TMNT but it doesn't seem fair to take away a more kid friendly line for one based on a series of sci-fi horror movies. Same reason I didn't say to get rid of something like American Girl or Monster High.
Finally found an Arctic Hog in the wild (not crazy about the price hike, 60 socialist kangaroo funny bucks)
Any Ausbros having any luck finding Halo Heroes or newer Blindbags? My hunt today is going nowhere it's either nothing or an overstock of the Charlie bags
>>6492642
Lets see all the current lines
>Halo
>Destiny
>Calll of Duty
>Kubros
>Dino trux
>Dispicable me
>pokemon
>TMNT
>TMNT (but classic)
>American girl
>American girl spinoff?
>Barbie
>Monster High
If they're all fair game Dispicable Me gets the bullet for aliens but if it's only the more adult oriented lines then I'll gladly take out classic TMNT but what I really want is that Rock 'm Sock 'm robots type line to come back as a minifig centered line
>>6492731
Is it possible to kill kids Power Rangers for adult ones? The kiddies already have Imagnext, it's not fair.
>>6492748
They don't really do full sets for PR though do they? Just miniatures?
Found this in one of my FB groups, does anyone have any info on this fig? Looks like it's from the Black Ops III. Dude on FB said he'd gotten it in Mexico
>>6492642
Do away with the smaller scale lines such as Halo and TMNT, and replace them with MOTU and Elder Scrolls. Destiny should become a figure-only line, and then maybe reboot Halo with more detailed CoD scale figures.
>>6492899
Allegedly Halo is kept at the smaller scale because a surprisingly large amount of fans who'd been collecting the earlier Halo figures claimed they'd stop collecting if the updated Halo figures were out of scale with their old ones.
So if there's any truth to that I can get keeping those figures the same. There's no reason to keep making new lines in that scale, though.
>>6492688
Well I post pictures publicly on both places so I'm not too concerned, heh.
>>6492691
Wonder what changed, because there are (Granted, they're 17 years old at this point.) Mad Max figures.
>>6492913
>surprisingly a large amount of low IQ fans who'd been collecting the earlier Halo figures claimed they'd stop collecting if the updated Halo figures were improved.
Idiots ruin everything. If that's true then Halo should be scrapped completely. It's just taking up resources and shelf space that could be put towards something I'd actually buy.
>>6492913
>There's no reason to keep making new lines in that scale, though.
This is biggest thing. It's fine to keep making halo in the same scale I've bought a few figures just for pieces but otherwise it holds no interest for me and there's no reason to change the scale with so many vast collections out there already; that would reasonably piss people off. New stuff should scale with CoD though. I'm looking at you, Colonial Marine.
>>6492755
They have a couple sets but they are very child-oriented, worth a look for some ofnthe figs they come with and a backdrop for your other figs
>>6492729
I never saw charlie bags. Nice find on the arctic warthog its really a great set for display and the figures. Comes with a ton of plasma and frag grenades and a munitions box too
>>6492867
Yeah, it's an exlusive for SDCC 2015 or 2016 I think. For some reason selles in fb in Mexico have a ton of this figure, so it sells for 50 pesos (or a bit over 2 usd). It's the guy that's in the Wraith Attack set, but all black with a gray wash.
I have one and it's a pretty neat looking fig.
>>6492709
Check amiami or HLJ, those mecha look great but are a little expensive. HLJ had them cheaper
>>6492689
when will those heads make a return other than tmnt and world builders (which doesnt exist anymore)? i really dig them
Thoughts on the green? It was hard to get a good picture of it but I think it looks pretty good in hand.
>>6492729
QLD here. The only sign of new shit I have seen anywhere is the Wasp for 99 fucking dollarydoos, also the new drop pods.
Managed to find a single Atriox anong 4-5 Helioskrills at Big W the other day though. Where did you find the Arctic Hog?
>>6493043
Not bad, teeth could use a touch up but this is looks pretty good
Made a small group of cyberpunk-esque knights for Man at Arms to command.
>>6493089
Yeah, I'll probably go back to the teeth at some point.
And one of more of them training.
Finally found maverick series at target. Its been only warrior and foxtrot series at wal marts tru and target in ga
Grabbed 6 different codes and got everything i wanted. Great grab, hope challenger turns up at some point
>>6493149

Mr Toys, Indro had a decent stack. My local Big Dub has the same shit, except it was only a lone Atriox among a fuckton of Wasps (tempting but nah) and Dual Mode Hogs (already got)
>>6493201
Son of a fucking bitch, I just moved away from there a couple of months ago. Is the Dual mode hog worth the buy in your opinion?
>>6493201
Also, the Wasp is 20 bucks off atm. Fuck yeah toy sales
The bases that come with the destiny armor packs are great for posing small units
>>6492953
>hurrr stop making what I don't like
>>6493228
I'd say so, it's a Hog sure but at the same time it's different and I really dig the blue/grey colour. No independent suspension like previous Hogs though
Nyeh!
>>6493282
It's just a painted up CoD head.
Got my Star Trek sets today and already have a problem. Mirror Universe Spock from the transporter room set has a very misaligned beard. I attempted to request a replacement but got forwarded to a more general Mattel request page, filled in all that and sent so we'll see what they say I guess. Normally I don't make a fuss about misprints but this one can't get a pass.
Trek woes aside, finally got around to the Builder's Forge in depth. There's good, there's not so good and there's missed opportunities here. starting with the good we have a very nice Spartan Orbital with the skull motif, a wide assortment of useful parts including several UNSC emblems, decent weapon allotment for a single fig with SOCOM Magnum, target designator, AR (mine was missing, already requested replacement) and a pair of frags, and overall a pretty good price per piece ratio.
Pic shows everything left over after assembling the Mongoose and barricade builds.
>>6493605
Do you think this would make a good add on to the base that was released a while back? I got the base, but 2 walls with a huge opening was underhwelming. I want to make it bigger but those bases seem to have disappeared.
>>6493605
The not so good comes down chiefly to what's missing, namely the instructions for all but one of the rebuild ideas. This page of the instructions seems to indicate that they're at least available to download on the megaconstrux website but as yet I've been unable to locate them anywhere, and more puzzling is that the instructions for the helmet build follow on for the rest of the booklet.
One can take the stance that these rebuild ideas are meant to be visual inspiration like the alternate builds on Lego sets back in the day, but why then include the instructions for one and imply the rest are available somewhere? This gets more annoying when it comes to the pieces, some of which were included seemingly specifically for one of those rebuilds (part AM18296APD is used in the Booster Frame mini and nowhere else that I can tell).
This combined with how they display the contents on the box add up to missed opportunities. People are used to the Lego Creator line where all the pieces are used in the primary build and nearly all in the alternate ones, the primary build for this set uses maybe half and there's no sign of the rest on the box, other than in the rebuilds and the piece count. The rebuilds picture itself gives the impression that those ideas are expanded on in the set but only one of them is.
I think it could've helped to show a pile of parts alongside the main builds on the box, definitely should've had either a more specific download url or actual printed instructions for the rebuilds. Probably a lot of people will end up disappointed with the set based on the above, personally I'm satisfied with everything but the absent instructions but then again I have a ton of spare bits from Halo sets piled up over the years, combined with these parts there's plenty of MOC potential.
>>6493624
I have the Fire Base as well and I gotta say there isn't much this set would add to it unless you picked up a few and combined the parts. The Fire Base uses a lot of larger structure pieces while the Builder's Forge is a lot more basic parts, leading to the other not so good aspect that it's apparently geared more toward mini and micro builds. Really the best way to expand the Fire Base would be with more Fire Base sets.
>>6493649
Thanks and nice review, man. I was hoping a bunch of builder's forge would help expand the firebase, but with that price and your comments, it seems the only worthy thing on that set is the orbital. If at all.
>>6493655
Sure thing, like I said there's missed opportunities with it. Another way one can look at the set is add-on materials for other sets, not so much to make bigger bases but bulk up vehicles or add details to bases.
>>6493655
next year when theyre at Ross for $9 theyll be worth it
>>6493702
Right? I like to support companies whose products I enjoy, but man, mega makes it really hard sometimes.
>>6493769
If they just had an online shop they'd be rolling in it.
>>6493844
An online shop with individual parts inventories is my dream.

36 dollars on Amazon.
>>6494153
Amazon don't ship to Mexico friend. And Amazon Mexico is a wasteland.
Actually it sucks, because if you order online, mega bloks Mexico won't send you missing pieces, that warranty is only for in store purchases. I got the Technodrome for a huge discount on walmart.com.mx, and it was missing an important piece (one of the the ones where the threads/wheels go) and it was a pain getting the piece.
>>6494164
Despite the disappointing evil Spock I really like this set, my lighting sucks and my camera flash doesn't do it justice really. It comes with extra wall pieces without the Terran Empire logo so you can convert it to an original universe transporter room, another little surprise is it comes with two knives (re-use of the ODST knife), a nice detail. I've also built the Guardian of Forever set and am about to crack open Day of the Dove but I'm liking the Trek figs so much I spontaneously ordered the bridge and Klingon D7 Battlecruiser sets. Does anyone know if Picard is to scale with this line?
>>6493270
Huh, what is that sharkticon with trans pink arms?
>>6493868
Mega should cut out the middle men and do an online version of Lego's pick-a-brick. I'd buy by weight if it was just pieces I wanted
Jesus H Christ. This looks absolutely amazing.

I don't know shit about Destiny, but that's a pretty cool set.
Working on a Crocmaster. I wish I could find a bright green body and vest like this to use parts from. Or to do the red version of his outfit. I still need to paint his goggles and maybe a build a respirator.
>>6495107
Sgt Forge green body may be what you need
>>6495121
Hmm, looks like he has tan forearms and lower legs which are the parts I actually need. Plus I'm trying to stick to the larger CoD pieces. The olive drab ones I'm using work (they're pretty washed out in my picture, oops) I'll just stay on the look out for greener pieces.
>>6494495
i'm pretty sure it's the takara one
>>6495143
>>6494495
It's a set of three KO's by Mech Fans Toys
>>6492402
I only want sets and vehicles if they're recreations of the old toyline.
>>6495107
I don't know much about joe but if you cut the tubes off of the COD scuba head would that work?
I don't think we'll be getting Family Guy Mega Construx figures, Knex now has blind bags of the family, almost 5 years of doing nothing with the license.
>>6495226
Disaster averted, more room for better franchises in heroes
>>6494937
Seriously.
Even at relatively high prices per piece, to keep it profitable, I would order tons.
>>6495279
Yep, just give me a place I can buy their pouches, equipment, accessories, weapons, and bodies in all their colors and I'd probably make a monthly order. I'd also probably give up on 1/18 scale and just recreate it all with Mega.
>>6495107
The secondary vest that comes with the Destiny Warlock figure is perfect for Croc Master.
>>6495302
I've abused their replacement parts a few times to get dupes of things that I wasn't going to buy whole sets for.
If they would let me give them money for the parts instead of being a dick and abusing their system, I would.
>>6495369
Oh nice, it even has greener green boots. Definitely getting this set.
>>6495374
Man, I really need the third wave of Destiny armory sets to come out. Those have been fantastic.
>>6495350
I have always considered it but havent.
Bulking this guy up
I only have six cargo containers.
I feel like I NEED more, but at $15 a pop, with figures I don't want any more of, I can't justify it.
>>6495474
What I did was change the lower legs to a bunch of figs from other sets. That way you get unique figures, but with cohesive colors, like a unit. I'll post pics tomorrow, but it works pretty well.
>>6495531
Not a bad idea.
Here's a follow-up question then:
which of the three Cargo Container packs is the best?
Based on figures, gear, container designs, or scenery.
>>6495566
Pic related is what I was talking about.
Regarding containers, the gray one is good becuase the color is more realistic and the terrain pieces are great (especially useful is the barbed wire). The guy with the cap is what fucks it up, as it's too uniqur to have duplicates.
The red container has the best figures (they are very army buildable) and weapons. The terrain is meh and the color is too flashy to have several.
I don't have the blue, as it's too artic (the container itself has splotches of white). I may get it on discount, but not at full price.
I have 5 gray and 1 red. I'll get 2 more red ones and call it a day.
>>6494937
this, the functionality is clearly there within the company since I've gotten retardedly small and specific pieces sent to me after they weren't included in the box
though if they did open such a store they would NEED to implement limits per person/order ect because we've all seen what happens to halo heroes, the best one sells out in a day the good ones in a week and the inevitable shit one pegwarms for a month
>>6495614
>not liking arctic
Why not?
>>6495638
Some of us live in areas where it has not snowed in recorded history
>>6495636
Monthly limits per account would make sense.

Fair enough, and you have my deepest sympathies.

>>6495680
Everything assembled so far, still working on arms and have yet to do backpack
>>6495700
I don't like the colors, but the building looks really nice. Good use of the cyclops hands. The whole thing looks more organic.
Axe?

Thanks for the pics. I probably shouldve gotten this when it was on clearance, skipped over it at 60% off
Question. Do any of the COD microfig gasmask heads have the same shade of gray as Captain Reyes' vest? Much appreciated.
>>6496281
If you got a trenchcoat like on the right in pic related you could brobably pair it with stuff from one of those gas mask guys and make a decent Fallout New Vegas Ranger figure.
>>6496380
The brown coat works better
>>6496440
Sick dude, didn't know there was one.
too bad there isn't an actual Fallout line, that gas mask doesn't really cut it.
RULES
I bought like 6 blindbags this week. what the fuck is wrong with mr?
>>6496470
Nothing. Just let yourself go, man. Buy six, seven, a box of blindbags. Let the army grow. Let your plastic friends have plastic friends. That's how it should be. That and not some other way.
Happened into TrU to get my regular dose of NECA disappointment, when I stumbled upon these on the clearance end cap. I was just thinking the other day how I wish I would have picked them up earlier in the year. Might go back next week and grab Raph and another Foot Soldier or two. Further down the slope we go!
>>6496440
>veteran ranger tier
wew I want this.
>>6496440
Is that head in this set https://www.megaconstrux.com/en-us/worlds/call-of-duty/playsets/desert-troopers-6825?
>>6496547
Thise are the best looking tmnt figs ive seen though i dont collect that line. I slid further down the slope as well, will have a pic on the next day or two.
The cod heroes are great, love the pegs and all the little accessories you can equip, been buying those since ive gotten my fill of halo figs
>>6496547
Those foot ninja are great!! I bought a bunch when they came out to use as enemies.
>two stuffed boxes of TMNT Series 5 at Dollarama today
>already have one of each and none from the set are army builders
Saved some money at least heh
>>6496621
>The cod heroes are great, love the pegs and all the little accessories you can equip, been buying those since ive gotten my fill of halo figs
Yeah, they are. Can't wait for series 2. I also have my eye on the Jungle Raiders and Paratrooper.
I even bought one of those damn Halo blind bags.
>>6496673
>I even bought one of those damn Halo blind bags.
For some reason that made me laugh.
Those damn halos with their damn blinbags!!
>>6496589
It's either in that set or this one, I can't remember
>>6496692
Heh, I say that because I have never had an interest in Halo, but the NMPD Trooper looked pedestrian enough for my tastes. I didn't go in with codes, so feeling up those bags was a bit of a challenge.
>>6496281
The closest one is the guy on the right. The vest is actually light gray with shiny sprinkles. If you're talking about the full helmet, then the guy on the left (on your pic) would work better.
Why don't all human Halo figures have a small clip included to store the weapons on their back? I think it would be useful.
>>6496729
Huh, I brought the guy from the dune buggy to compare with Reyes and hadn't noticed the colors really make then different. I wish there were more of these guys, though. The whole transparent mask concept is really cool.
>>6496673
I feel that way about cod. Ive had 4 tepid purchases for specific cod figs but i buy halo blind bags by the handful.
>>6496767
Hey, it takes all kinds.
>>6496736
Buy one Destiny armory set and youll have a few of these pegs to use for this. Fuckin great idea anon! Im gonna do this from now on
New thread >>6496790
>>6496793
Are we just doing new threads weekly now?
>>6496729
Can you do me a giant favor and give the guy on the right of Reyes his vest and tan accessories with his brown leg strap and the brown vest pouches?
>>6496547
Grabbed about 12 of these guys when WalMart had them for 50cents each. 3 full cases on the rack and I took most of them and one Casey Jones.
