Both tanks look cybertronian, they could fit fine on the FoC line, planes, both are nice, I like the valkyrie-ish backback on the gereations and the g1 throwback on the TR, Botmodes, TR wins easily, better feet and no shoulder issue, but most importantly for me, no huge noggin with a forced gimmick homaging a cartoon I don't care for, would take the headmaster gimmick any day over the face switching.

Still, I ended with 2 gen(second was a gift) I use them as the Blitzwing drones-clones from the intro.

Just putting those panels on the chest is such an obvious and simple solution that you seriously have to wonder how it didn't occur to takara.

Everything fits together pretty well, and it doesn't complicate the transformation in any way aside from it being slightly tricky to get the legs around the new wheels while transforming it (they don't extend as far out as the stock wheels for whatever reason). All the colors are a near perfect match too, you wouldn't notice unless you actively compared the colors.

Bob Budiansky created most of the names, personalities, and wrote the comics that Furman worked around for in UK and followed in the US comics. Bob wanted to make Ratchet fembot, Hasbro told him there was no female tfs. Since Furman worked off of Bob's notes, being told there were no fembot in G1, it makes sense that is Furman's default. And Furman said he wanted to do something different than just have fembots in IDW, so came up with the trans idea. Later it became a hot topic that crucified him.

I think I got so used to the hipskirts since owning these two that this upgrade kit feels kind of weird now.

Also on further inspection the red part of Ratchet's upgrades don't come close to matching at all, but still look better than without.
