A club story dropped some hints of possible CW toys that didn't get made, and implied to be using the alternate heads of released toys:

-Inferno (Unknown, possibly alternate head for Hot Spot, but we never learned what it was)

My Hero Megatron is in good shape but its feet are still atrocious.

Just got my WfC/TR Optimus Prime Evolution pack and I love this TR Orion Pax. The colors are so unique looking, rather than bright red and blue it's a rosey red and soapy blue, he just looks fantastic. WfC Optimus is also really nice with his gunmetal grey and brighter red and blue vs the original's light grey and drab dark red and blue, and the sky blue detailing looks much nicer than the red detailing on the original. I'm a little sour on him though since I paid slowpoke tax to get the original right before this set was announced.

They're about the same on mine, they both have issues tabbing the back together while also fully tabbing the sides into the front. The hole for the titanmaster's feet in vehicle mode fits a little better on Orion, when I plug a titanmaster into Kup's cab it pops out right away. The new WfC Optimus is a little worse than the original with some bad sprue marks and some minor issues with tolerances, like the flap the forms part of his back kibble doesn't sit perfectly flat in vehicle mode and his hip skirt pops off a little easier, but overall it's not bad.

Definitely pick up seaspray. The chubby little sailor with a funny voice is pretty much the epitome of dork.

Aside from that, if you want a toy that'll give you a lot of play time, TR isn't really the best line. Overlord might be worth it though

As for your other issues, go join a local gaming meetup, or a drinkup. Or better yet, go do a charity event. Those are great places to meet people, and they're generally not assholes about strangers coming up to talk to them because that's literally what they're there for.

I used to hit up a local transformer toy collector group, but then I moved across town and haven't had time. It was fun while I did it though.

Overall there isn't as much paint on shadow spark prime body wise, its as if they traded that big portion on the chest for more little paint apps on the truck, even the head only has a lick of paint its just a more difficult application, though the use of the dark grey plastic was a smarter choice.

The plastic seems resilient and flexible enough to have survived a week of play without any stress marks or bends or anything, but if this breaks at all then MPM Bee's poseability will be at the mercy of two diecast on plastic hinges (two per ankle) that aren't meant to hold a position on their own.

I doubt this will be an immediate or near-future problem unless you brutlize the poor camero's ankles, but in a few years time when the plastic starts seeing a little age I can totally see reports of the feet breaking.

Unfortunately it is. At least we have a guy who does bulk orders of Takara stuff based on who wants one, so it can be cheaper than it might otherwise be. Managed to get Broadside from Amazon for a little over standard retail (and actual standard retail before the movie line pushed other line prices down). Apparently he's dropping here now, but not in my area yet. I'm still stuck on Astrotrain, Galvatron and 'Trion. Didn't help that we didn't get Orange Trump, so Galvatron was a solid case.

it would actually be more expensive to spend time trying to figure out how to remake something so different into these new figures.

Designing is a high paying job, the idea being that a couple extra hours of skilled design translates into plenty of saved hours and materials in production and QA.

But given a strong restraint that drastically increases your design time (such as "here, make this dump truck into a lion, and oh, we've got to keep the same joints, and roughly the same plastic mass") and you basically negate all of the savings. Especially when you know a unique mold will sell more units than a remold.

A remold is ideal for when you're not sure it'll sell a lot of units. Like Ft Max.

I still consider the ROTF/HFTD/RTS Scouts to be the high point of recent transformers, at least when it comes to the smaller classes. Really pissed me off when they did away with Commanders in favor of one-step bullshit, though at least they realized scrapping Legions was an awful idea and immediately brought them back the next line. While some of the one-steppers are ok, most of them are ass and I would sorely miss Scouts if we didn't have the current Legends, and even then I still miss the Scout-sized figures of characters from non-G1 lines.

It's a sexy repaint, but you could just get the Titan Master if you only want some representation of the character without emptying too much of your wallet.
I never liked this Megatron much myself, have the green one that came with Floptimus Prime, but I have to admit that's some nice-looking silver. I once bought a custom someone made of that mold into Brawl, only time I ever bought a custom and only because I paid less than retail for it. Thick paint aside, I sorta love it still today and like to think of him as a genericon hanging in the back of the ranks.

There already exist a "perfect" alpha trion, ex gokin alpha trion from fewture.

While its not to scale with mp's, infact its more to its own (small) line it can convert to the younger A3, its about the same height as a g1 optimus.

Anything else won't be accurate to anything, even the concept art used for the tr alpha trion was only used loosely.

So Wipe-Out is in the newest Lost Light comic, and we're getting a new Windcharger, so I'm betting Wipe-Out might be getting a new toy soon.

And yes, I know Necro is suppose to be Wipe-Out, I just hope they changed the name since making Wipe-Out an accessory to Trypticon and his own toy would be confusing down the line.

Just got the SDCC MP10 and he's great aside from a weird chest problem. Is there a way to make his breast flaps sink in more? There's a wide gap in the middle and its kinda bugging me.

They're meant to attach to the armor included with voyagers and deluxe figures. On Leaders, you're meant to pop out the Matrix Accesory and replace it with your Prime Master of choice.

I was remembering how the original Pretenders just folded up into generic shapes to store in the shell, but they also had alt modes, even if they were a bit lame. Some, like the Pretender Classics, had slightly more involved alt modes than the typical ones. These new Pretenders look like they have no leg articulation. Where the fuck were you this past week? Hasbro explained it pretty clearly. The Primes Master toys hold the sparks of the 12 Primes.

They can attach to the larger toys adding some form of ability to the character. Each toy comes with one of 12 trading cards stating the ability the character gets when attached to one of the 12 Primes. There will be twelve card variations per toy, one per Character / Prime combination. These are totally random. No they don't expect you to buy 12 Dreadwinds to collect all 12 cards. They'll be online too.

The shape of the Prime Masters toys is to increase the play value with the Titan Master toys, nothing more. They're interchangeable.

The Leader figures each come with a unique Matrix design, that can house any of the 12 Primes.

Rodimus Unicronus comes with a Unicron infectioned Matrix. The Unicron matrix gem can also be used to 'infect' any of the other figures.

The Story of what Prime Master attaches to which Transformer and which falls victim to Unicron is part of the play pattern.

People forget that this is not just a toy line for adults. It is the top selling Transformers brand for ages 5 and up. More than RID2015, more than the Movieverse, more than Rescue Bots. They want kids to use their imagination here and create their own stories.

The adults can just enjoy the sculpts if they like. That's okay too. Just don't begrudge the new generation of Transformers fans their own stories.
