I really like him. Good articulation, killer aesthetic, and a really unique transformation and Titan Master integration.

Still, at 45 fried chickens, he's a tough proposition. While he is quite posable, he doesn't have waist or wrist articulation, and there is no reason not to have it besides cost cutting. He has a lot of paint, but he still has stickers. Not nearly as terrible as on Voyager Optimus, Megatron, or Broadside, but it's still bad. His jet half is cool, but the tank just falls short due to it's squat size and lack of rotating turret.

If I couldn't get him for $30 like I did, I never would have bothered. If you're new and just want a big chunky figure off the shelves, he's pretty good on a sale. Just know that you may be left wanting if you're used to more adult collectibles.

I have the figure and I love it. yeah it's an odd choice, but he looks cool and his two vehicle modes and base modes are fun. The transformation is simple yet solid. You can also turn the tank into engines for his starship mode so you can have one very large starship instead of the starship sitting on the tank for the combined vehicle mode.

He's really the best leader since the Powermaster prime/Ultra Magnus mold. Just a solid A+

I think it's a really great looking figure and the paint is extremely satisfying. Love the simple but effective transformation as well.

I hear a lot of people bitch about the hip ratchets, and they're mostly right. He's kind of hard to pose because of those hip ratchets (same thing that screwed Prime Shockwave). It'd be forgivable if he at least had really good ankle tilts.

I just got home from a late Imax showing 3D. It was fucking great, way better than I expected. I think it was the best of the series so far, my previous favorite was Dark of the Moon. All the callbacks and payoffs after ten years of build up. It was quite an experience. I'll answer questions for a few minutes if you guys have any.

Those are all pretty generic subjective questions, anon. I can't tell you how to feel about the movie. There is an above average amount of clarity in the action compared to the series as a whole. The dialogue is serviceable to good if a little too quirky at times.

One thing I'll say is the Cybertronians have a shit load of screen time and dialogue. Shocking amounts.

Any plot or character questions? Lots of the 'leaks' are bullshit.

It's never explained beyond what you see. That scene is right at the start, TRF guys have Cade surrounded and Bee rushes in, takes fire, splits into pieces to play dead, then the pieces start rejoining and independently attacking the nearest soldiers as Bee reconstitutes himself. There is no transformium in this movie like some people speculated.

Remember that scene in AoE where the driver boyfriend 'punches' a dude in the head with the tire of his car? Bee does that to two guys with his flying leg. It's not too bad.

The movie was exhausting. There's some legitimately interesting things going on with the plot, it's just overly muddled with all these terrible pacing issues, quilt dialogue, and way TLK many action cuts. On one hand, the Decepticons get a bit more personality. On the other, their personalities are pretty fucking awful.

Lots of neat-ish callbacks to the earlier films, but still a damn mess. Oh well.

Squeezeplayfag back again, ended up using Triggerhappy's thighs after all with Highbrow's hips to get them to fit on Mindwipe's waist section.
Had to drill out the peg hole a bit to make them fit over the peg in Squeezeplay's leg but it fits fine. Also had to cut away some of the thigh to allow it to bend properly, as you can see in the picture it's not the best articulation but a 90 degree bend is decent enough.
The height of it is slightly smaller than your average TR Headmaster and more on par with that of the old Headmaster Jr's as seen with Wilder here which I think works fine.

The beast mode still needs a little work, mainly just to get the cobra head thing on a swivel either to hang off the waist section like on the G1 toy or by adding the hinge from MW's bat head that I've highlighted in the image that would allow it to fold up against the back.
The arms a little restricted in that they'll only sit angled out to the side, can't actually have them sitting straight down flush with the rest of the body. Only other thing I need to work on now is the tail/gun piece basically just adding spikes to Mindwipe's tail and then paint it all.

i have im and he is great! everything i always wanted in a megatron toy. He is a very and i mean very nice looking megatron (check out that mean looking headsculpt with one of the best lightpiping systems ever!!!). Megs got all his signature bits, the buckethead, the flat chestplate, the buttons on his belly, his fusion cannon and the sides of his calves even resemble pistolgrips. He is basically the g1 megs if he turned into a tank from the start. His transformation is pretty easy, it only takes 2 minutes tops if you know well what to do. Not really interesting if you like complex transformations. I mean it's a very ''behaved'' transformation with nothing special of new really. The turret can rotate if you don't flip his crotchplate on the back of the turret. Posabillty is not really his strong point but can still hold great and menacing poses. If you can get him for a decent price don't hesitate in the slightest and pull the trigger on him.

The thing people need to remember is that very few vehicles get their paint jobs picked in the movies. The car companies pick them. Prime got his cool scheme because his truck isn't a commercial vehicle, it's for shipping.
All the others had paint jobs that were available to the public.

Okay, so I have two questions about the film and I want spoiler free yes or no answers because the few leaks/reactions I'm reading are making me worry.

First question is whether or not they tried to incorporate the Allspark, Primes, Ark etc. into this new story since they show the Ark and Sun Harvester getting destroyed by chunks of Cybertron. I understand having the bullshit like the KSI cubeformations being ignored but the others seem really important and they've teased that they're trying to string rhe lore together.

Second question is whether or not you guys thought this was a satisfying end to the story/it actually is the end. Again, just yes and no. I just don't want to go in with high expectations and be let down.

I was considering options for making a TR Snapdragon and I think Brainstorm has the most potential, including a decent head option and his nice teal color. It would even do the whole dino tail is the jet nosecone and the legs are the thrusters on the side. Hardest part would obviously be the dino head.

Well that's DOTM done as part of my grand rewatching of the films before I see TLK.

For me this is a film of conflictions, I love all the space and cover up stuff and some of the scenes like the cybertron opening or the highway chase, Sentinel was probably the best movie villian, and there were moments that got some sort of response like the shuttle explosion or when the decepticons start their attack...

Well it was nice to vent my gripes with the film, next up is AOE which I like over DOTM, so looking foward to it.

MPM looks like a cheap, oversized toy with all the flat black and yellow molded plastic.
Wei Jiang's MP BB looks like a proper masterpiece figure, with lots of painted details and chrome.
In fact, I thought the WJ one WAS the MPM at first, because the one on the left looks like such cheap shit.

Oh, and the WJ version is literally half the price. Go figure!

Has/Tak can't do a proper all-over paint job to save their lives. I've never gotten a MP figure that didn't have dust and bubbles and shit all in the paint.

Me too. Maybe as a subline that pops up occasionally or yearly box set or something. Same with the TR stuff. These concepts were fairly well executed this time around, and I do think they deserve some support beyond the shelf life of "this years gimmick".
