The stickers are shit because stickers are always shit. It's like rubber or diecast, just another unwelcome thing that will go to crap over time.

As for why there are stickers, it's probably because it's cheaper than tampos, I'd assume. Unless it's more expensive than tampos, in which case I'd chalk it up to Hasbro being run by madmen who don't know how to plan out the most basic thing such as "molding a piece of plastic in the right color", which is another thing we see happening all the fucking time.

That's not what's happening at all. You honestly think that they go through the lengthy process of engineering and producing a toy, and then realize "whoops, that's the wrong color?" It's all about keeping the number of sprues down. Often it's cheaper to cast something in the wrong color and then paint it instead of having to do a completely separate casting just for that part.

Hasbro is a business, and they're going to do whatever they can to maximize profit.

Couple of months back, we reported that Hasbro owned Boulder Media Studio, an Ireland based animation company is working on a Transformers franchise related animated series.

We’ve just learned that a week ago, something has flown under our radar. The studio in question is hiring candidates to work on the aforementioned project.

The openings are for Transformers Character Designers (2D), Concept Designers, Prop Designers (2D) and Background Artists (2D).

You can look at the job openings via the official website but some of the highlights include:

It’s a 2D Animation Project (characters and props are 2D and so is the background)
Based on ToonBoom Harmony
Episodic
Sci-fi Vehicles and Weaponry are involved.
Although we do not have a clear idea as to what Boulder Media has planned, but all of the above criteria ticks a certain Transformers show that is on hiatus at the moment. And that show is Transformers: Rescue Bots. However, things are up in the air. It could be a new show, it could be a return of an old show or it could be a follow-up.

I'm actually fairly impressed with some of the new movie toys. Between that, the movie masterpieces and the turds making some great looking movie toys it's actually a good time for moviefags.

At this rate maybe we'll have something grand by Power of the Primes. I think Titans Return has been a middling bag of stuff that is pretty good but doesn't go the extra mile. Hopefully they kick it up a notch.

0. Literally, 0. Almost nothing does proper 2D animation anymore because that costs money, and companies hate spending money. However, theres a huge chance it will be some Flash (or similar program) made thing.

I'm still really undecided on whether I should either pick up the new TR Blitzwing or scout the older Generations version from Ebay. I know the new one has a great G1 look with a surprisingly solid paintjob but the design on the old one is just so interesting, in a cool gundam way. Also, the three Animated expressions are just great.

I'm tempted to hunt down and collect the old Beast Wars figures. Not the transmetals either. I used to have a bunch of them, but they've been lost to time, elements, or lawnmowers.

Even with the mold issues the new one looks like hot garbage in robot mode. The legs are too small in comparison to the chest and arms proportion wise, the arm kibble and hollow bits are and eyesore, the arms in general look awkwardly jointed and its super greebly on the detailing. It works in robot and jet mode though. Thrilling 30 had the head transformation issue and the shoulders but is sleek and more articulated.

Personally I would get the Generations one.

It's got problems, no doubt about it, but it's faults can be fixed with a few mods. Once you get the mods done, it's actually a really good figure IMO.

I have both. The new one is just so much better overall, with really pleasing alt modes and a really fun transformation. The old one does have better weapons, while the new one can mount the sword as a bayonet.

Even average quality flash animation costs $30,000 a minute. That's per every single minute and most cartoons run 22 minutes so that's $660,000 bucks for a basic tv quality episode. Got Astrotrain and Perceptor today, this shit is slick. I really dig the idea of a microscope transformer, and Astrotrain's alt-modes are both cool. The purple panels on Astro are a little bendy, especially in train mode, but not so much I can't ignore it.

All in all, good purchases.

Ordered Beast Wars Cohrada off this Korean eBay seller. Finally arrived in the mail today.

If you ever want a cobra who turns into a cowboy (he even has a whip!) I can't recommend this toy enough. BUY HIM. I'm having so much fun right now.

I think Broadside has been one of the most "wait for Takara's version"-tier transformer I've wanted in a while. I really like the bulky Robot and the aircraft carrier mode and I can kinda appreciate the jet as long as it's using the fan mode, but god the stickers suck.

and Barricade being your mentor of sorts. God I remembered how much I fell for Barry in nearly everything from fantheories about his surviving to the video games. The fact that he's the only Bayformer who got a spotlight over his previous generations makes me a bit happy for liking him.

So I haven't gotten any Transformers stuff in a long time and I just nabbed a Delux Titans Return Hotrod and I have to say, I'm surprisingly impressed Bot mode looks as if I reached back into my childhood and grabbed my old Hot Rod right from the nostalgia bin. with his big stupid shoulders and exhaust pipe fore arms. He's sufficiently blocky, but not in a very derpy way. Only real complaint is that his hip ball joints are loose.

Transformation was intuitive but not really boring even though it works exactly how I thought it would, didn't even need the instructions. I didn't realize he had a waist swivel until I did it. Vehicle mode is exactly what I'd want from Hotrod. It just feels so good to have him back on my shelf after I had to get rid of my original so so long ago. I am an absolute suckery for a classic looking Hot Rod.

I keep telling myself I need to swear off deluxes, but everything looked pretty good in the store, and it was really my love for Hot Rod that made me get him.

Triggerhappy and Topspin (and presumably any remold and retool) are pretty damn fine deluxes. The former may be a bit of a 'nobody' compared to characters like Hot Rod but he looks great in both modes (hollow forearms aside), has a great transformation and can even do a bit of a gerwalk mode with some fiddling. Topspin share a tiny bit of engineering from Triggerhappy (same spinny-torso transformation, you'll see what I mean if you check videos of it), I'm told, but he improve in that he lacks the empty forearms so common to recent figures.

They had Broadside at the store, and while an aircraft carrier bot is 100% right up my alley, his jet mode looks silly and his bot mode seemed to me to lack a bit of character.

Also I've just realized that Hot Rod's guns can peg into his shoulder/bicep bits giving him some silly little autobot nullrays. And as somsone who's favorite bots were always Hot Rod and Starscream this pleases my soul in a very deep and strange way.

I actually like Broadside quite a bit. He has his problems, but he's fun. I definitely have a softspot for aircraft carriers though. And he has a decent fan mode for his jet mode. You'd want to reverse the fins on his feet, though.

He's probably my favourite deluxe in years. TR has had a lot of strong ones, but Hardhead takes the cake.

As for Voyagers, Alpha Trion is divisive but it's generally agreed he has a great robot mode. The Sentinel/Astrotrain mold is nice too; the only voyagers that end up suffering in all three modes is Optimus and Megatron

I have to say I really like how Titans Returns looks, just feels like there's more detail in the molded onto the figures and everything.

Toyhax stickers for Broadside got put up for sale earlier today. For "only" 18usd you can replace TR Broadside's magic disappearing stickers with stickers that looks surprisingly nice for once (considering how tacky toyhax can get) with stickers that probably won't fall off so readily.

Except also for some reason they didn't give you a silver backed autobot logo to replace the one that'll fall off his chest so I guess you'll need to buy their silver backed autobot logo sheets as well.

No, they were actually fairly consistent.
Soundwave had been a satellite, but when they had to start working with humans, he became a car.
Ultimately, bumblebee killed him for executing his friend.
Also surprisingly in continuity, barricade always gets away. Even in dotm, where people thought he died, closer inspection reveals it was the bot he was standing next to, not him.

Nah, it's definitely the second. I play spastic twitchey-style games all the time and have no problem telling what the fuck is going on, but one Bay fighting scene and I'm just fucking lost. Everything looks like a walking pile of shit, and I can't distinguish anything apart unless it's one of the few bright colored mecha like Bee.
