While it's true the deviation from promo to release was more severe with SSJ3 it still lacked the saturated orange it needed to look great. This. Shill bids ARE a thing on eBay. It's not uncommon to get into a bidding war with a shill, LOSE the auction and then the seller says "good news! the other buyer is refusing to pay so you can have it if you want for your last bid!" which at that point you know you've been scammed.

Happened to me a few times but I never bid more than I was willing to pay so it wasn't a huge deal. Still got it for a fair price but I could tell the shill bidder would not have stopped if I hadn't stopped myself first. It probably got up to $287 because someone noticed they were dealing with a shill bidder and just wanted to up the price to a ridiculous amount then refuse to pay to hurt the seller.

Truth right here. That's why I only sell things as buy it now, but even then once in a while people will try the dispute scam. One time I sold some PSN codes on eBay because I noticed they were selling for way more than their value and didn't know why. I sold one and the guy asked me to email it and I did since I've sold dlc and that's how it went, instantly he files a dispute saying his account got compromised.

PayPal said they needed a tracking number or else I'm not covered so I printed out a huge pic of courage the cowardly dog and sent it with tracking, PayPal ended up giving us both the money somehow, I learned a lesson.

Months later I try the code I sent for shits and giggles and it actually fucking works. Turns out someone really did get hacked and got their account back as soon as I emailed the code so the thief had never seen it or used it.

Moral of the story: get a friend, pretend to sell them shit, get a tracking number, have them dispute it, then you both end up with the money from buyer/seller protection.
