Symmetrical Docking is also welcomed
hi I'm the worst jet mode
Unrelated, but still crazy
>>6249646
Still better than CW.
>>6249650
that's fucking cool
...ive been wanting cryotek for over a decade now.... :(
I'm pretty sure this one is from /toy/.
Some anon owned 6 Rooks IIRC.
>>6249688
I reckon it's from around the time Rook was busy triggering sensitive snowflakes.
>>6249684
I seem to recall this set looking like shit, but this actually seems pretty decent?
>>6249693
Ahh yes, that reminds me.
>>6249650
>Sides reversed
Fix that. NOW.
When will the shitty titanmaster gimmick end?
>woooow I can partsform this toy and store the part in its chest so cool wow
>>6249705
Not soon enough.
the preorder date on this guy is march 2017, which is almost over...wonder when he'll ship?
>>6249688
Too bad his aftermarket price shot through the fucking roof. Guess people really liked him. Definitely my favorite OC from the CW line by a long shot.
>>6249710
Doesn't Takara's stuff always get released at the end of the month?
>>6249705
i think it worked out alright for some figures, but overall i think the headswapping gimmick falls flat as you can easily see whether or not a head goes to that figure.
and i'm also of the mind that characters who havent been headmasters shouldn't be now.
i would love a new hot rod, but have no interest in him having a generic block head.
maybe i'm just a retard, and there's definitely no denying there's been a lot of fun to be had in titans return, but i'm really hoping that power of the primes is something less invasive to the entire line.
>>6249705
>ARRG I HATE HAVING A LITTLE GUY TO PUT INTO THIS COCKPIT PLAY FEATURES DON'T BELONG ON TOYS HURRRRRRRRRRR
That was you. That was what you sound like.
>>6249715
i have no idea. i passed on getting either of the bruticuses because i like the baldigus/ruination deco better, so its been quite the wait
hmmmmmm......
>>6249713
I wish we'd get some new faces in TR. Getting new toy characters from CW was nice, even if it meant most of them were replacing established characters.
>>6249724
Well at least IDW is in the right spot.
>>6249725
Well, we sort of are. I mean, we got Krok and Quake, who haven't had toys in literally forever. And these Head/Targetmasters are so old they might as well be new characters to anyone who wasn't watching G1 as a kid.
Unless you mean entirely new characters, which I guess we're not seeing because people were whining about not having complete teams in CW without some effort.
>>6249724
>implying any transformers show is watchable besides animated
>>6249732
Lel, right I guess we are seeing literal new faces.
I did mean entirely new guys like Rook, Alpha Bravo and Offroad, though.
>>6249724
They got BM and BW mixed up.
>>6249719
I was looking at a stack of TR Hotrods today because he was about the only TF between 3 Targets. And I noticed, no techspecs and barely any bio. Just 2 sentences in 5 languages because diversity. There goes the one thing that supposedly put TFs over GoBots 30 years ago.
>>6249725
CW's OCs are kind of understandable assuming hasbro wanted to spice up the established combiner team.
TR? well, how are you gonna mess up whatever headmaster/targetmaster team there is?
Non-predatory decepticon headmaster animal?
Decepticon targetmaster boat?
Militaristic autobot double targetmaster vehicle?
>>6249724
lol
>>6249749
>>6249749
Same guy that keep using Unicron crotches?
>>6249753
Doubtful, it's a complete Unicron.
>>6249646
TRANS-formers indeed.
>>6249737
They probably didn't sell as well. Thats just a guess though. Offroad is kind of a regret buy of mine, same with Jhiaxus from T30.
>>6249743
Tech specs never really made any sense though. And the bios were only as canon as you wanted them to be, given most of them had no bearing on how the characters actually were in the shows, movies, comics, etc.
>>6249719
>cockpit
>in half the toys you just put the shitty unpainted robot into a box where you can't even see it
>they even made one with TWO cockpits yet you have to put the titanmaster in a shitty fake box with a flap
The only ones where the gimmick is actually pulled off well are Legends Chromedome, Hardhead, Highbrow, and Brainstorm.
The head swapping aspect of it is retarded too.
>wooow I can swap this head on this other figure that doesn't match at all so I can make my own ugly OC so fun
>>6249719
Even in fiction Headmasters are fucking stupid.
>"We were fully autonomous and functional. BUT NOOOOWW, we can remove our heads to become pilots that we have NEVER fucking needed! Somehow this is an improvement!"
>>6249705
I worry about either losing the headmaster, or accidentally breaking it.
>>6249705
Keep on cryin'. I love these little dudes.
>It's another "anon doesn't like headmasters" thread
>>6249724
>Prime that high.
The first season was good, everything else was crap. And you forgot Animated. And the IDW series is better than that.
>>6249777
color perspective. The magenta is pulling away from the white thighs thus it appears thinner. The line of yellow between the white of the stomach also creates a thinner look
>>6249776
>Transformers
>based off line with little pilots
>remove all the pilots for the US
>later on
>want to re-integrate the pilots because to the US it's a new gimmick
>instead of making them separate dudes, this time make the pilots integrate into the mecha itself because thats more interesting
>Headmasters are born
>one side makes them just tiny robots piloting mecha bodies
>the other makes them a machine/alien hybrid that utilizes the alien, fleshy part as living booster...As long as they get along well enough, and introduces the idea of possible downsides to this
I don't see anything wrong. Now, if you want a real shit gimmick, try spring loaded, ACTION FALCON PUNCH, or light up/electronics features that lock out actual articulation.
>>6249776
The takara lore is the definitive for the headmasters. small robots who create larger bodies and train to fuse with them.
>>6249734
Why was Animated that good? I'm watching Prime currently and I like it but I like Animated more still. Everyone in Prime seems pretty shallow unless you're Arcee or Starscream. And there's too much focus on the kids. I really don't care for Miko...
>>6249792
So if we inverted the colors, Nautica would look like she has big womanly thighs?
>>6249799
i think i'm nostalgic for the animated era for a few reasons.
the unicron trilogy shows were abysmal, terrible animation, terrible story telling, terrible production quality, terrible everything
animated was a breath of fresh air, because the show was good, and for the first time since the beast era, we had transformers with character, and their toy designs reflected that.
overall it was super cohesive experience, and even though the designs were super controversial, i loved them. i wanted the toys BECAUSE i liked their characters in the show, and each figure was a lot of fun, and catered to plot lines in the show.
it was a good time.
>>6249705
Hardhead was the first TR figure I got, and I loved him. I thought this was a line to really look forward to, but somehow none of the toys that came after really came close to being as good as him. Some of the figures were still good figures on their own right, but the headmaster gimmick hardly mattered.
Seats in guns is fucking dumb unless you do it well like Hardhead's.
>game is called transformers devastation
>devastators barely in it
>anime called transformers armada
>theres no actual armada
>character called star scream
>isnt actually a screaming star
>>6249808
They did have a lot of charm that's reflected in the toys. Like Swindle having his dimensional compartment on his toy and the missing EMP weapon on Ratchet's forearm.
>character called erector
>only gets me hard after 3 drinks minimum
>>6249826
Originally Thundercracker was going to be the one that had destructive sonic booms and Starscream was the one with the powerful yelling attack.
>>6249776
That's why Japanese Headmasters are way better
>cartoon called transformers animated
>isnt about animation
>anime called transformers cybertron
>barely on cybertron
>show called transformers prime
>only 1 prime
>character called push button
>can't push button, no button to push either
>MPM Bumblebee
>MP Megatron
>Leader Megatron
>Scorn

>I saw a whale
>a whale, where? out in the woods?
>no, on the bus!
>that's pretty rude to call someone that, Grimlock!
Idk what's more funny, Dinobots or their dads
Point being your mom is IDW's Tidal Wave and yes (s)he is trans and I hate you forever
>>6249705
I really like everything about Titans Returns but the Headmaster gimmick. I would love it if everything worked like Sixshot and you could still fold up the head like normal but still remove and swap them.

Well, it would look better in matching colors.
>do_it.jpg
>>6249982
>>6249983
God damn, I've never seen that happen before.
Depending on how well you can take apart the ankle to get at the pin, you may be able to replace it though.
>>6249985
Yeah, MP Shockwave is somewhat known for having delicate leg engineering. He doesn't fall apart if you breath on him but he is certainly one to be gentle with
>>6250001
This is a far as it comes apart
>>6250010
eesh. Any chance of poking it out from the other side?
If not, If you got a soldering iron to warm up the plastic and a pair of pliers with a good grip, you might be able to yank the pin out by the tiny amount it sticks out from.
>>6249797
>>6249831
That is only -slightly- better. And it's Japan, so who cares?
>>6249694
They are loads of fun, I have the two leaders and the train optimus. Both the combinations are great.
Only thing that sucks is that the leg modes are really scrawny so it looks like it definitely skipped leg day.
It's too bad no one really bought them or even had any general interest in the series. I wouldn't have hesitated to buy some sort of 3P add on kit to give them proper looking legs.
Any anon in Taiwan got a in hand image of the cyber battalion Jetfire.
Yes i am 100% sure you people have it as i just come out if the Taiwan TRU flag store and only thing that is left are the wave mate battalion Prowl

>>6249697
Wait, what? I thought Rook was a completely new character.
>>6250081
Anon, you and I both know the only thing that monster turns into, is crushing disappointment.
>>6250034
What are you talking about? Little robo-dudes who want to defend themselves better, so they have vehicles they ride in, but also transform into bigger robot bodies that they form the head of? I got a stiffy just typing that out.
I also like the Hasbro version of robots that bond with bigger robots to alter their abilities, but it seems extremely under-utilized in that respect.
>>6249710
>Statueshit I was planning on getting got pushed back to May
>Realize I can put those funds towards Baldigas
This is a good day
>>6250096
If I recall correctly the body swapping concept came up pretty often in the headmasters anime.
>>6250108
Yeah, but it was basically just that, swapping heads, same as a pilot switching mechs.
The Hasbro rules say that the Headmasters alter the specs of the host bots and also give them special abilities they wouldn't have otherwise. I think it would be kind of cool to head out on a mission and bring extra heads to tailor your abilities to the situation.
>>6249693
I got two rooks and never looked back. Just for me.
>>6249784
Thank you for this.

Speaking of clones, what are the odds of them doing more than the original 4?
It would be fun if they added new members who turn into something else.
>own mp10
>own mp05
>Soon to own mp36
>feel my mp-05 would be lonely but refuse to sell him
>tempted to buy an mp01
Thoughts?
It'll be the ultra magnus repaint because its cheaper and without the shortened smokestacks of the hasbro mp01, something about the fact it has more gimmicks interest me.
Would it be a dumb idea?
If it helps I also own a mp delta magnus, I just want to make my mp05 feel relevant, unless leaving him in alt mode would be sufficient
>>6249646
>x5 of Tripledacus
HOLY SHIT That's like $200 per set ;_;
>>6250290
>Thoughts?
Throw that garbage MP-05 away.
>>6250286
The chinese are a wonder to us.
>>6249901
I am weighing on customizing my TR Soundwave so his head just folds away along with the helmet. Probably going to experiment on Scourge first.
>>6250288
>same robot that turn into different alt modes
how is this a good business decision
>>6250290
>tempted to buy an mp01
I still have mine, but it's in a box in a closet. It's got some gimmicks, but like, are the worth it?
>wrist communicators
>moving faceplate
>light-up matrix
And that's pretty much it. As an actual figure, it's pretty clunky compared to our present standard for MPs. Overly heavy, and the alt. mode is pretty weak. The plastic feels much cheaper, too. But, I mean, if you want one just as a display/companion piece to MP-05, go for it, I guess. It's leaps and bounds better than that mess.
>>6250298
or leave it in gun mode
>>6250335

Remindme of SWAAAARM!
Hoooly shit I haven't been this excited about a toy since combiner wars
So, I decided to stop by my local Walmart to see if this guy was there. I walk up to the toy aisle and find a small family (mom, dad, and 6-or-7-year-old kid) looking at the transformers. I hang back so I don't make them feel pressured or like I'm lurking on them. The kid was looking mostly at the NuRID figures, but then he suddenly turns, reaches behind a Skullsmasher, and grabs...Chromedome. I got a quick look and I'm 99% sure it was the Takara head. He says, "I want this one." His mom says "okay" and they start to walk away.
I was so torn between my feelings of "Awe, awesome; a new fan. I hope he enjoys the toy." and my inner collector screaming "Noooooooooooooooo! I wanted that one!!!!!!"
Then, all of a sudden. A ray of hope. Dad says, "No, you got a toy yesterday. Put it back." My heart stopped.
But then, Mom cuts in and says, "I already told him he could have it." She puts it in the basket and they all walk away.
I considered running up and offering them money for it, but then just decided to cut my losses.
I do actually hope the kid likes it.
>>6249705
If the figures were a bit less hollow I'd have no complaints at all. I love this line even more than Combiner Wars, so fuck you.
>>6250480
What else is in the case with this? Is it Wave 2 with this Chromedome? A mixed Wave 2/Wave 3 case? The nearest WM to me has nothing but wave 3, the next closest has most of that Christmas half-pallet that had some wave 2 left.
>>6250335
Takara looks great there, but I actually love the stylization on Maketoys. I'll still hold out for a legit silver version of MP-36, I think.
>>6250492
Lucky. Only thing around here is Wave 1 with, for whatever reason, a shitload of Chromedomes and Highbrows thrown in.
>>6250480
>I do actually hope the kid likes it
Nah, he'll get tired of it quickly just like yesterday's toy.
>>6250480
I've been in a similar situation. Except at the last second the kid switches it for a Combiner Wars Cyclonus saying it could combine with his other toys.
I could've stopped them and said it could only combine with Transformers from that same line, but I'm heartless.
>>6250496
This. Any kid who gets a new toy two days in a row for no reason at all is probably spoiled.
>>6250480
>being this nice
Reminds me of a similar story but my autism won over
>at local tru
>tr wave 1 just hit my shitty country
>saw the titan master heads and legends
>Indian family was talking native tongue with kid examining what was on the shelf
>lean in
>virtually shoved my long arms past the family and grabbed each lot of the legends and TR heads in 2 quick successive swipes
>walk out without looking back
>noticed the family finally shut up and coulda sworn I heard quiet sobs even though I left one of each still there
>...I think
It seemed karma got the better of me since other stores were much cheaper, also my nightbeat went towards a MANerva custom.
Just look for the shitty galvatron/unicron custom in the thread and you have an idea of how it turned out.

>>6250286
Yeah, it's the MP-10V. I got him since he was like $50-60 and he fits in better with all of the other figures.
>>6250206
No, he's right, it's clearly bigger than Bee, just not taller than Bee, and Bee is big for a legends.
Not to mention some of the deluxes are rather small.
I'd personally say these are "legends plus"

>falling for the monkey arms meme

especially when we already have a somewhat decent hot rod toy. His crotch needs some proportionate work to his torso, and that's literally it. Also:
>No shitty parts forming disguised as a headmaster gimmick
>>6250639
I like the Titans Return Hot Rod more. The red looks better to me than the maroon. But the Masterpiece is really cool too.
>>6250639
will that fit a classics collection?
>>6250649
no but it looks more like hot rod than the TR version does. To be honest the TR version looks almost like a pre-tool of a new Pointblank figure.
>>6250653
This guy? I'm not seeing the similarities.
>>6250639
Yeah, the MP is without a doubt the best Hotrod figure, but some people are sticklers for scale or certain designs or whatever.
>>6250649
MP Hot Rod is a little over voyager size, which can work if you want him to be Rodimus Prime.
Poorfag here.
What can I use as a throne for my WFC Megatron? Pic realted

>>6250707
>is a decent throne.
Pretty decent indeed, mine hasn't transform for almost a year now.

>clear plastic as the base.
For show, but I wouldn't put anything there.
>>6250672
My only issue is that he's just a bit top heavy because of how his transformation works. Would have been a good use of die cast to weigh down his feet and shins maybe.
>>6250706
You'd be surprised how often price doesn't correlate to quality. Hardhead here for example, has better articulation than some $50+ figures I've seen, and more detail to boot.
>>6250731
Yeah, he is a little top heavy. Still, between his torso crunch and the rest of his articulation, he can manage it pretty well.
>>6250727
>>6250729
Actually it worked pretty well.
>>6250755
And for smaller figures you could fold out his backpack as a foot rest.
>>6250738
I really find it weird how inconsistent articulation is across figures. And the price hardly ever has anything to do with it either. CW Powerglide and Shockwave can articulate better than most leader classes.
>>6250755
Is that a custom Evasion Mode, or an upgrade kit on him?
>>6250765
KO Optimus with the parts of the KO upgrade kit, FoC Jazz hands, and repainted eyes.

>>6250761
Way too much does this. Shit, any given figma for example, might be released lacking simple articulation the last 10 figures had, with no reason why.
TF's doing it isn't as much of a surprise when we're talking cheaper figures where cost cutting measures are an unwanted but omnipresent reality.
>>6250761
Most of the leaders get weighed down by gimmicks to justify their higher prices. Be it electronics or some sort of specialty parts like that G1 Leader Megs with working treads.
>Allspark apologizes for spoiling the stupid funpub figure
>>6250359
Does his face actually transform??
>>6250830
I think the mouth flips around, but yeah.
>>6250786
CW megs is a little stiff but I think he only really needs a double jointed elbow, a crotchplate that can flip up so it doesn't limit the hip articulation and better feet. The only articulation limited by the working treads are the knees.
>>6250835
Or well, I should say that's the only articulation limited by the knees engineering-wise
I'm sure cost-wise, the elbows and feet had to be simpler than they should have been and the crotchplate had to be solid, otherwise they couldn't afford the working treads.
>>6250282
I already loved Inferno but now that he has a friend to play with he's even better
I kinda want a MP Convoy 3.0 that is animation accurate.
>>6250861
I think it could be interesting to see.
Wouldn't take that much work either, just filed off all those pesky inaccurate details and use a new grill for robot mode and you're good.
>>6250861
I'm sure they know they could probably sell a bunch of new Optimuses (Optimi?) that way, so I wouldn't doubt it would come at some point.
Hopefully with a crotchplate that allows the legs to move all the way up this time by balljointing the flaps to move out of the way.
>>6250426

Where can I get that Deathsaurus head?
>>6250931
They should retool First Aid/Trailbreaker into a crane and release him as Longarm.
>>6250933
Its a custom, it was energon Scorponoks I added the bird details with epoxy.
>between Scout and Deluxe
My ass.
>>6250982
He has weird proportions, looks like they chopped part of his legs, hope Takara releases clone 2/4 packs.

Nice pasta.
>>6250861
Animation accuracy is the cancer killing MP. Bring back Hasui.
>>6250761
Powerglide most definitely does not. He has hinge elbows with no swivels in his arms.
>>6251112
too busy designing rid/titan-class/tr shit.
So what are the chances at getting the Chaos at velocitron set at retail. I went to TRU today and they didn't have any. Is this going to be like MP Soundwave where they sell out in a day and don't get any for 6 months?
>>6251112

>>6251130
Just call your stores like a non-retard until you find one that has it. Item number 758111. It's what I did and I got mine. Literally the fastest I've ever seen a sighting online and found it myself.
>>6251141
I did call they said they had one and when I got there they couldn't find it.
>>6251112
The chest still really bugs me. It's so boxy compared to the more rounded edge the shoulder's have on the cartoon model.
I'd still like to get an MP Autismo when/if they do a silver version but man the chest looks off.
>>6251149
Did you only check the shelves or did you ask for it? They may have had it outback, or saved one for "the customer that called"
>>6251149
Did you ask them to hold it for you? They're supposed to keep it over at customer service. I looked and they also had one on the shelf.
>>6251150
I went to one TRU they didn;t have it so they checked the other TRU and they had one. I went to the customer service desk at TRU and they said all the transformers were on the shelf and nothing was in the back.
>>6251156
You ask them to hold one for you, retard.
The guy at the first TRU said he couldn't do that. Do TRU exclusives usually show up online? Ebay mostly has the set being sold piecemeal and a bunch of 5th rate radicons are already destroying multiple sets and selling their mistakes.
>>6251141
I need more pictures of the G2 Prime, tho.
any idea when the other Titans Return boxset (forgot what it's called) is supposed to drop?
>>6251167
It's a giant turd. The toy is complete garbage. I'm not even transforming him so this is all I have unless whoever I sell this to want a robot shot.
>>6249705
That's easily one of the best figures they've made in a long time. Im just sad we're not getting more. Id kill for a voyager sized monsterbot or horrorcon
So are these TRU giftsets going to wind up being widely available like the other 6 Combiner Wars ones? I can still purchase all of those, since these just came out I take that they're not close to saturation yet.
>>6251141
An almost works. I'd probably get it if it wasn't a box set.
>>6251192
She's got the wrong color and the head is pretty wrong, but it's probably the best we're going to get for a long while.
>>6251193
Does the box give information about the headmasters and what powers they give larger robots?
>>6251043
kek
FoC mold was way better.
>>6251197
Only that Rodimus gained a bunch of power by giving his body up to be a Titan Master. The box doesn't even show anything about the other heads in the slightest. It makes it seem like they're all regular robots.
Exactly as it should be.
>>6251141
whats that wrench?
>>6251215
Came with one of the Lucky Rogers Junkion add on sets. Once was medic/mechanic based.
>>6251185
3rd party's got you covered, if you don't mind MP Monsterbots.
>>6251130
I seriously doubt it will have the demand of MP Soundwave. There was a lot of scalping and backroom deals with that. Also This set is dropping on a movie year, expect it to be clogging space with the movie toys in some isle set up.
>>6249843
He does have a button, and you push it.
>>6251193
A lot of the basics are there; if she had lipstick and wasn't a headmaster (so she could be rounder) it'd probably be no a no complaints situation.
>>6251229
She does have lipstick. The crest is too tall, the head is too tall, the yellow on the head is contoured wrong.
>>6250761
>I really find it weird how inconsistent articulation is across figures
How is it weird? Each figure has very unique limitations based on what its bot mode has to be like and what its alt. mode has to be like, and then you consider what they are able to do within budget for each figure. If anything, Transformers is the one toy line where inconsistent articulation is completely excused, especially at a retail price point under 20 dollars.
>>6251231
>The crest is too tall, the head is too tall, the yellow on the head is contoured wrong.
I blame the headmaster gimmick forcing everyone's head to be a square.
I can't wait for this TR line to end.
>>6251193
Looks like Hot Rod's face but in Nautica's colors. I'm hoping that a 3rd party can make a better one.

>>6251201
It way wasn't.
>>6251499
mp05's instruction is a book, so good luck with that.
Why though, lost yours or want to see the bullshit that goes behind it?
>>6251112
Agreed
>>6251119
I can see why though, the guy is creative, by leaving him with kids toys he can make them interesting for adults too, that said less complexity can limit one's creative engineering output
>>6251132
>Shockwave purple was deeper in the cartoon!
They tried to leave him in safe to handle plastic and plastic colors have limitations, look at inferno and grapple, drowned in paint, only right way is toy color version
>Soundwave visor should be red not yellow like in the cartoon
That's hasbro version dummy, takara one is accurate
>Ironhide chest was smaller in the cartoon
Of all the complaints you go with the chest, least of all the worries
>Magnus didn't had a butflap in the cartoon!
While true it was an engineering limitation, could be improved now maybe
>Grimlock is way too small he was taller than Prime in the cartoon!
He was made before mp-09 before they set up an arbitrary scaling rule, and Yuki expressed the engineering team had interest in doing more mp dinobots, good chance a dinobot 2.0 would fix that
>3P/Gen toys have too much gribble, should be cleaner like the cartoon!
Subjective as fuck, I personally think gen toys need SOME greebles to make them interesting while for mp's need enough to homage the toys and make them interesting visually, hence mp inferno is bland compared to mp grapple
As for 3p who gives a fuck, you choose the one that doesn't trigger you and if everyone of them does too fucking bad, can't please everyone
>>6251561
Point was, people keep bitching for accuracy for the MP line, either lack of or too much.
For all you Dutch Triggerhappy hungry people, he's in-stock at Archonia.
>>6250992
they won't. you can blame michael bay for that. as far as i know, we won't be getting a "legends" anything past Godbomber. not even broadside is getting a jap release.

>>6251172
Most of the problems stem from the Jet mode. And most of those parts clip on and are easily removed if you want to make it just a 2-mode Optimus. The tail fins do have to be cut off if you want to remove that. It works better as just a truck / robot figure
>>6251587
There is no clown Sixshot repaint
>>6250288
I would certainly be interested in the Decepticon Clones redecoed as Autobots and vice versa
>>6251606

>>6251658
the weird thing is that the figure at NYTF was what we ended up with.
Why did people assume it'd look exactly like the render.
>>6251664
Yeah he should have been Greatshot since even the G1 toys, Greatshot was the retool and Quickswitch did his own thing.
>>6251613
Surprise, there are more than one kind of fan.
>>6251616
He has plenty of problems being shitty in robot mode. The tanker is the only mode that looks good.
>post Laser Prime and Quickswitch for sale, at their respective retail prices
>guy messages, asking if I can do better on price

>>6251724
Because there are cheapskates everywhere. Ignore them and wait for someone who's willing to pay.
>>6250478
In every video reviews, I shat on TR Broadside in the comments, saying I would never buy the thing. But here I am, filling my plastic addiction by buying it anyway and at full price too.
In the end, it is pretty good. Amazing robot and aircraft carrier mode. Obviously, the official "jet" is complete ass so I fanmoded my own. What you guys think?

>>6251657
The Legends line is taking a break between Godbomber and Trypticon due to the movie line. It will most likely be resumed after that.
>>6251774
Yeah that looks better. Would've been nice if they added rocket nozzles to the default "jet" mode so it looks like a VF-1+Strike-pack at least.
>>6251774
There was another one posted few weeks ago that looks better, but I didn't save it.
>>6251784
Too bad. I'm curious to see how it looked. Even though I think the official jet "ruin" TR Broadside, I saw (and still see) that it's possible to fan-mode him into a better spaceship. Just by "mistransforming" him, mind you. No mods nor extra accessories allowed.
>tfw paid 45 for Nautica on eBay
I don't even give the single slightest fuck. I know for a fact that I'll never find the set in store so I just went ahead and bought the one thing I wanted out of it.

>>6251784
>>6251788

>>6251864

>>6251864
Here's my take on it. It's floppy and unstable, but it pull off the look pretty well.
>>6251874
Sideview.
I was considering getting just the Laser Prime from the Velocitron set, but then I was thinking maybe I should just get this one instead? How is he?
>>6251876
It's a solid figure and a solid mold. Hope you can find it at a reasonable price.
>>6251661
They were hoping, HOPING a mistake was made like with hasbro computron and lightspeed's head.
The renders aren't much help, galvatron was the first and many more are sure to follow.
>>6251658
This pisses me off, a new beast head and helmet would of helped as his modes are almost the same as sixshot (as in hasbro's old g1 advert, "son of sixshot" has the same modes as sixshot but in different shapes) and not only do they skip any effort in retooling BUT he has less paint apps than regular retail sixshot.
Seriously wtf hasbro
>>6251875
That '36' sticker is already peeling.
>>6251876
That mold can be a tad small in robot mode.
>>6251879
Thanks Capt'n Obvious. I kinda noticed already.
Guess I'll have to eventually Reprolabel the shit out of it.
>>6251876
I have the legends scourge repaint, while his age shows he looks amazing and with a bit of work he does the job just fine.
Admittedly I want TR laser prime but the damn stickers keep pushing me away
>>6251884
It's just a deluxe. So if the goal is just to have a representation of the character and having a good toy that don't take up much space, it's the best way to go.
Still, the original G2 Lazer Optimus is the better one.
>>6251895
Yeah, thos pre-aplied stickers are so bad, they piss-me off. I just noticed it when I transformed Broadside and >>6251879 just twisted the knife in the wound...
>>6251894
To be more specific, he's a tad small for a deluxe. Closer to FoC, TFP deluxes in height.
>>6251906
Meh, I could justify it as another bot that wants to be like Optimus (like Pyro). I'll probably pick him up. There's a few on ebay at around $20 which seems about right.
>>6251906
That's true considering that at the time, the standard was not yet to DOTM/Prime/FOC reduced deluxe sizes.
>>6251909
The Classics TankMegs and T30 StealthMegs scales with him so it's not too bad.
>>6251910
Maybe the shoulder pylons were included in the sizing
>Total height is 7" because of the shoulders!?
>DOWNSIZE THAT SHIT.
>>6251864
It's kind of fucked up that the fanmodes look so much better than the official. Same with Metroplex. Didn't anyone look at the preproduction samples and just go "Y'know, go with this instead. Whoever designed it the other way, fire them.".
>>6251929
I meant FortMax, not Metroplex.
>>6251929
Maybe one of the restriction is to follow the budjet of the figure. Or some people are just stupid. I mean, while remolding the thing, it would not increse the cost to make things tab differently. I guess...
>>6251864
Dat's nice.
>>6251939
Yeah but, the fanmode is obviously within the budget given people are doing it with the end result figure. And it looks so much better than the official mode to boot.
>>6251945
What I meant is in order to make the fanmode STABLE and STURDY, it may need extra parts. Like extra tabs, screws, or panels, thus blowing the budjet of the figure. As it is, the fanmode here >>6251874 >>6251875 barely hold itself.
Still, they should have had the "correct" design in mind from the start. The bot and aircraft carrier ARE perfect. But even with that, I'm pretty sure they would have managed to make a better jet withing the budjet without affecting the other modes.
>RID Warriors for 9 Bongbucks each
>a family of three with a kid about 5 next to me looking thoughtfully at Legion Springload, clearly trying to get a pocket money toy for their boy
>"Actually, the big ones are reduced, so you could get the tiny one for seven pounds, or the much better ones for nine"
>little boy looks elated as he gets to pick Blurr
>>6251955
Also karma I guess because there was another, lone Blurr left right at the back of the shelf
>>6251876
They're both shitty and inferior re-intepretations of the original Laser Prime.
>>6251777
it's scary how they decided to not go any further with Wave 3. why would they immidiately do Trypticon before doing Hot Rod and the rest.
>>6251878
>Seriously wtf hasbro
Takara makes all the molds. Hasbro just markets them outside of Japan.
Just found the Chaos on Velocitron in a NJ Toysrus.
I'm pleased with the set. I gave the Rodimus Prime head to TR Hotrod, gave G2 Optimus' body to Terri-bull, fastlane really is just a legends class figure but looks like a really good modern update. Quickswitch despite being a repaint still looks really good in robot mode, nautica looks fine and I love her purpleish pink color.
We just need to see the other two sets now. I've got a feeling that G2 styled Megatron is going to show up in the fireblast set. I really want the BBTS exclusive set now these giftsets have been all hits from Combiner Wars onwards.
>>6251724
I can't stand poorfags. Gas them all.
>>6251990
You got it backwards. Takara is the one modifying Hasbro molds for their niche market.
>>6251999
>the fireblast set
The whatnow?
>>6251633
Hmmm. Ik wacht nog even.
>>6252009
Hasbro creates designs, Takara engineers them.
Third party wins this time for me. Almost straight repaint doesn't do it for me.
>>6251986
Wave 3 is coming, they were just forced to announce Trypticon early.
It makes sense when you think about what would happen if they didn't.
>Plan to continue line in September
>Trypticon is expensive so people will only get one
>Say nothing
>Everyone gets the earlier Hasbro version
>>6252033
I might have gotten the set if they gave us Sixknight instead. At least his colors are nice so I wouldn't mind double dipping.
>>6252050

>>6252033
The TP also is shit, a different kind of shit.
>>6252053
Greatshot is also a Victory character, so he'd go great with Liokaiser and Sky Shadow.
>>6251613
>thinking everyone is the same person
Kek. Also, it comes as no surprise that the geewun faggots who want cartoon accuracy were the most vocal. They bitch about literally everything if it doesn't look exactly like the cartoon, even if what they want is physically impossible, or looks like legit garbage. They want it.
I've said it before, they should really just make a new line of highly-articulated, non-transforming, perfectly cartoon accurate figures that also come with their alt mode as a separate toy. 90% of these geewunners end up buying two of their MPs so they can display them in both modes together. Also presumably because their fingers are too fat to repeatedly transform anything without breaking it.
Why do the scan logos on RID toys always come so crooked? Maybe the fact that they're larger and more defined makes it more obvious than it would otherwise but they're always turned by like 15-20 degrees to the left.
Are they supposed to be like that or did all my stores get factory rejects or something?
>>6251559
Yeah, I need a copy
>>6251999
Have you considered taking pictures?
I for one, would accept even poor quality ones.

>>6252058
I heard this last time I posted that Quickswitch and nobody explained why. What's so bad about it? I have both versions and they're great.
>>6252085
The Blurr and Soundwave I got today are fine. I've seen a couple in-pack that are really off-kilter but most seem to be applied correctly.
>>6252267
I must just be unlucky then.
It's a shame too because there are a few I really like, but straight logos are like the one thing I look for and get autistically nitpicky about when I buy toys in retail.
>>6252076
But hed need remolding and they clearly didnt want to do that.
Optimus sticker
Chest
I've transformed my Chaos on Velocitron optimus a few times already and it just seems the stickers have air bubbles in them. Nothing has peeled off. The Pictures just make the sticker look slightly weird because the trailer is angular so it looks like parts of the trailer sticker are peeling off when actually they're on there quite firm it's just that the trailer shape has weird angles and the sticker is all one piece.
Why is Pledge Finish so hard to fucking find? No store around me seems to carry the shit.
Is there any other reliable way to tighten joints?
>>6252332
super glue works just as well but can fuck with the integrity of the plastic (for the love of god never let superglue touch clear plastic) Only issue is it's gritty as fuck once it sets.
I've heard of using bar soap, but I can't imagine it would make a joint significantly tighter. plus it's basically lube if it ever gets wet.
Off-brand acrylic floor polishes should work just as fine though if you look for those instead.
>>6252316

Not only is Fastlane a legends size class, it even has instructions on how to flip out a seat so Rodimus can ride on him.
One warning about fastlane though the fist hinges are G2 Superion type delicate. They can apparently crack. However they're also thick as hell and won't shatter or loosen even if cracked.
