Most items in US stores offer what you are paying either per unit, or ounce. In cases of toys and electronics this is rather redundant because they don't break it down to what's in the package, the whole thing is just one unit. I wouldn't say the robot mode is "very" flawed. Sure the elbows look awkward, but the basic articulation is there. Compare him to Powerglide (only hinges in elbows), Bombshell (no head articulation), Warpath and Seekers (only hinges in legs), I'd say Gnaw's robot mode could've been a lot worse.

Ok got around to fiddling with him and he has a lot of paint. the plastic feels solid, and the joints are all tight.

My complaint is that since this is a mass produced product he has some paint that is already rubbing off from the box and his Maximal symbol is kinda off center. I'm glad that I only got mine for $50 shipped since my buddy covers the shipping for me since I do him a favor by letting him ship his shipment of toys to my house. Will I recommend it? Yes, but don't pay over retail. Also it's a pretty nice Japan exclusive.

Got him as a Christmas gift last year. If you have no investment in the character I can't recommend it. The lion mode was a clear after thought, bot mode is a chunky mess with hindrances everywhere and just has little that is aesthetically pleasing about the bot mode. Shipmode is fun but it doesn't make up for the mountain of flaws he has. And this is coming from someone who is a huge fan of the character.

I never liked how in the sequels they made the TFs more buttery. Like Sentinel gently taps Megatron on the head and casually rips out half his skull.

It seemed like the first one they were pretty damn invincible, no one really started getting fucked up until they began building up to the battles in the city at the end and everyone was playing for keeps.

I don't think Twinferno is significantly worse than the other beastformers of TR. They all have issues.

Wolfwire technically has a ton of articulation in beast mold, but all of his ball joints may as well be swivels, and his leg armor kibble is hindersome as fuck. The wolf head is also extremely limited.

Hell, Sky Lynx's "cat" fan-mode has better functional articulation than any TR beasts.

Twinferno is far from perfect, but if you were okay with buying Wolfwire/Mindwipe/Skullcruncher/Alpha Trion, then you might as well get Twinferno.

His biggest problem is the overuse of rubber on his wings. Nothing integral is rubber but they're covered in rubber details that will no doubt disintegrate into mush someday.

Well collectors is a strong word for them. Fans that might get some toys in a rare occasion might be a better way to put it. There is no such a thing like a stable 30+ yo Transformers fan. They've been in this shitpile for as long as the franchise existed and most of them are just getting more and more buttblasted every year that the franchise refuses to return full force to G1.

It used to be ok back in like 2002 when Armada was one and DreamWave started and all of them were like "ok soon we'll have G1 back completely, it's just around the corner, soon all will be good again" but that never happened. The thing with that "timeline" is the fact that it's literally just Aligned Timeline with some added in movie stuff in there.

I fully expect none of it to be IN the actual movie because that's not how Bay operates.

Every movie there is a fuckton of "lore" dialogue and scenes that get cut out of the film so that's why the movies always feel so disjointed and bizarre. A better director would find ways to keep them in but bay doesn't care, it's more important for him to keep the Romeo & Juliet law than have an actual explanation what the fuck the dinobots are.

That said this line looks way better than both DOTM and AOE. Both Megatrons look fun as fuck, voyager Optimus look way more interesting than any his AOE version even if I still hate his chest design, the new deluxe Bumblebee is probably the best looking movie Bee and guys like Steelbane & Voyager Scorn are a really cool looking nice surprise.

I was at an special event of Paramount with many ohter people that were invited,here they showed us some ne footage of The Last Knight,it was like 20 mins all the new footage.I have only one word:Amazing!

I think the problem with BM Vehicons, at least the show ones, is that most of them are too unique it's hard to remold them into anyone else, except maybe movie characters.
For example, like Jetstorm's one-legged hover thingy, Thrust's unicycle feet, or Strika's skipped-leg-day legs with massive wheel feet .
Doesn't help that most of the time, their altmodes have separate "heads" poking out somewhere, like Tankor.
