People shouldn't just blow a shit ton of money on things they don't really care about because most of the time they end up selling them at a loss in the end and wasting money. Amiami isn't as picky about quality as Mandarake is. I've bought a couple of B grade figmas and they were decent. One was a little floppy.
But on the other hand Any I've bought from Mandarake have been like new.
But I'd say you're 99% guaranteed a decent condition figure from them.

I haven't stopped, but right now I'm more picky about what figmas I preorder and what figmas I would let pass/or try to pick them in aftermarket. And I'm not only collecting figmas, I'm into nendos, cupoches, some SHF, Skellies and maybe FAGirls.
Right now the only ones I have on PO are Femto and the Godhand figmas, just because I like the series and I knoe for sure that their price would skyrocket in the aftermarket
Also the price that MF is asking now is to much for a figma that now comes with less accessories, also the DLC Jewstrategic of bonuses doesn't help either.
I have noticed that the figmas that comes with bonus have a higher price in the aftermarket, meanwhile the same figma without said bonus item have a bigger discount, which help you to get it cheaper if you don't care for bonus items, some of the Idolmaster or Love Live figmas have showing this behavior,
Funnily enough I was able to spot a figfix Nagato with the bonus face for 3.9k on AmiAmi, whereas if you PO her from the GSC shop you would have paid 7.5k for it.

Not stopped per se, but dropped my total amount quite a lot. It's becoming the same with most figures though, usually in stock long after release so I'm able to wait for in hand reviews to consider spending it.

To my pleasant surprise, amiami sent me two scarfs even though I didn't order any of the items they came with.

I played a little of both games at a friend's house and couldn't stomach it. After the brief novelty of the gravity shifting wore off, it was just so bland and boring and predictable. I can't understand why everyone was raving about these games.

One of my TV Strength's stand adapter things broke. Fuck. On the plus side the actual stand peg and the port in the fist is undamaged, but it's still annoying. I don't know why but those stand adapters seem to be the most fragile parts of every Figma; almost every one I have has at the very least disconcerting cracks on it.

I should seriously get on Shapeways and make some metal replacements for them. It's just 3mm pegs so it should be fairly simple.

That's the thing though; I'm always extra careful with my figures precisely to avoid shit like that happening. To date I don't think I've ever broken an actual Figma, and for the most part the stands themselves have been absolutely fine. It's literally just those little height adapters I have no luck with.

I wish Max Factory/Good Smile Company sold multi-packs of just the stands and stand accessories. I know they do the Di:Stages but they don't come with the same parts as regular Figma stands.

it's basically impossible to headswap unless you do a (fairly easy) mod on the neck.
also, after the mod you'll need to also mod the head joint if you want to be able to use the original head again.

I ended up removing the ball joint in the head and widening the neck peg on mine. It turns out that there is a peghole in the head that can fit regular sized joints (namely ones like the elbow joints that most figmas have).

Max Factory developed the technology to allow for something similar but they don't like to use it on every release for whatever bullshit reason. Here is a shot of Saber 2.0 who has pull out joint shoulders to allow for reaching across the chest.

The best part (see: worst part) is that the technology is fucking SEAMLESS. It was developed to look great even on a skin tight female (Motoko Arise has it) when not in use so there is literally no reason Saitama couldn't have had it other than Max Factory not wanting to give it to him. well, my first figma arrived today and when i try to put the peg on the stand into her back her hair gets in the way so she's forced to look downwards. is this normal or am i just putting the peg in wrong? it's the rin shibuya cinderella project version btw.

I wish her arms extended further but she's a pretty solid package. Though be mindful those targets you see in the promo shots are the background that you need to cut out from the removable background in the box and that you need to build and optionally paint her rifle.

Also as a head's up. Her alternate skirt, at least on mine, has a larger hole to plug her legs into and made them fall out fairly easily unless I swap out to the original skirt.

I don't know why they went with a "two in one" approach. There should definitely be two figures, one regular, and one buff. This slim/lanky body just looks awful when posed for action. But they fucked up the "serious" face anyway, so who cares.
