As usual, the Legends class is a joy to fiddle with. He's got the standard suite of joints, as well as some wing action.

No real known defects as far as I'm aware.

Its only issues are the stickers on molded detail, which you might as well just peel them off out of the box and save yourself the trouble, and its ankles which can technically tilt but are loose if they aren't locked into place.

The best thing Takara could do would be to actually tampo on details instead of using stupid stickers.

Man, Victorion is really growing on me. I kind of love these boxy little females and the cohesive combined mode works really well. I think this is the superior configuration, with the car hood shoulder pylons and the tail rotor kneecaps.

I may try to add in some more gray/silver either with paint or parts swapping if I can, I think that's her major failing.

Also the combined sword is super solid. I hope see that mold used again.

This is just some extra marketing, letting the fans think they matter deal. Based on the first two instalments of Prime Wars we can pretty much predict how at least some of Power of The Primes will go.

Optimus and Megatron WILL get toys because they get news toys in every line be they pre-molds or new molds.

Given the name of the the instalment it's fair to say that there will be some more Prime characters so it's safe to say that a new Rodimus Prime will be made too.

Probably some of the 13th Primes as well like Vector Prime will be there too.

There were rumors os a hype G1 Ultra Magnus coming out around 2015 but with the MP and the Minimus one it probably made no sense to release it then so they put him off until now so he's an option for a toy.

Deathsaurus was rumored as a toy from Takara for a loooong time now so he's probably out there as a toy option as well.

There were no new fembots toys since 2013, there is no sight of that rumored Nautica blurr repaint and the fandom has been crying for more fembots for years now so there is a good chance that they maybe have a Solus Prime toy that they can repurpose as Arcee is she wins.

My choices.

I was split between Hound and Arcee simply because I really want to see how they'd "Prime Up" an Arcee. But Hound never fucking gets any exposure or does anything beyond those terrible fucking Bay movies, so hopefully this will be a push for him to get up and be cool or something.

Realistically though, I feel like Ultra Magnus is going to win. Which is funny, because of the whole "I'm not worthy, I'm just a soldier" thing in the original movie was wholly true. Magnus just didn't have what it took, despite being a good guy and the obvious choice.

Went with these choices, though was torn on the last one. Chose Hound and Optimus because I think it'd be neat to have a narrative where both warring factions are legit benevolent in actions and intent, just on opposing sides. That's not to say if primal wins he won't be depicted as evil in some way, I'm sure he'll be turned into full civilizations Gandhi if he does make it, but the idea's what I was thinking about.

There's also the fact that most of those voters are comic first fans, toys second and the voting happened around 2013/14 when the comics were at the height of their popularity and Hasbro was pumping out extremely comic accurate toys at the time.

Since then Hasbro moved on to extremely G1 looking designs for toys, no comic inspired toys, and the less popular comics like oldRID were settled with showing all the toys Hasbro wanted.

That in turn "ruined" Hasbro for almost all comic-only fans who only care about comic and comic style designs, so the have given up on official figures (all of them keep buying MMC stuff now) and given up hope of Hasbro doing more fembots/stuff they want. Most of the fans jumped board from the comics as well since the whole "shared universe idea" so the comic fandom these days is pretty much only a big James Roberts fanclub really nothing outside of his stuff get even mentioned.

So the comic fandom that most of the die hard TF fans hate bc hurr womyn huurr sjw hurr is just negligible at this point really.

Point is there were a FUCKTON of toylines in the 80s that lasted for barely two years if that much. Transformers when they were started weren't expected to go into '85, only after the massive success of the mini series and original toys were they continued.

Most of those gimmicks are completely not intrusive and you can throw them out and have a good figure.

The CW were the worst at this regard because in order for the scrambled city combination gimmick to work line-wide you essentially had ONE figure exact same figure copy-pasted a bunch of time with the only difference being if it has wheel and if the shape at front is a cock pit or a car front, and you have to buy like 10 figure MINIMUM to get anything out of the toyline.

TR is better because at least you're getting a fair ammoun of unique different figures with the headmaster gimmick that isn't all that bad desu and it fairly fun the way you can make the head ride inside of the vehicle.

For me, Beast Wars 10th Anniversary. I grew up on Beast Wars the show, but only got the few scraps left over when it came to the toys (long shelfwarmed Injector, Inferno and Transmetal Megatron from a dying department store), so a whole line of show accurate repaints of the show cast figures complete with Transmutate and DVDs was right up my alley right? Wrong, Goddamn Hasbro for whatever reason decided to skip New Zealand with the entire line, and this was before I was old enough to import toys myself since my father wouldn't put his credit card number on the internet and I wasn't old enough to get one, so I couldn't get any of them. Do you have the add ons for Menasor? I have the Fansproject Menasor, but I've been thinking of trading up for a Menasor with all the PE add ons. I handled my friend's UW Menasor and though the combiner was terrible.

I sometimes feel like I regret getting the Hasbro Defensor. Seeing all the Autobot combiners together and matching perfectly is cool, but Takara Defensor is just so bland for a team of emergency vehicles, And Hotspot's cartoon accurate deco just doesn't work on the mold for me.

So yeah, I've got Defensor, Superion and Computron. Bruticus and Menasor (both Takara versions) are on the way soon. I'm still tempted to get G2 bruticus just because of how shit it looks and I'm still trying to decide if I want Victorion and/or Megaempress.

The feet/hands turn into guns. The handguns (insert joke here) are alright, but the feet become two big monster gatling guns each.

The crotch/waist/whatever thing just folds up onto Motormaster's back. It's pretty big and kind of bulky, but it's easy to just take off if you don't want it hanging off of him. The head outright replaces the Menasor head, so you can safely chuck or store the old Menasor head, whatever. Be advised you DO have to unscrew the basic Menasor head, you can't just pop it off the ball joint. And in my case, the screw was pure shit that basically tore off the moment I put any pressure on it. I dunno what Takara made it out of, but it deformed like melted butter with barely any pressure at all.

And yes, it's better than the default configuration, but Menasor is still a top heavy, relatively unbalanced motherfucker who might tip over if you don't pose him just right. You trade better looks for loss of waist articulation and a forced "A" stance with these kits (though of course if you pose him he won't be in an A stance, just his default standing pose will change to an A stance).

A stance doesn't bother me at all. None of these toys should be standing at attention anyway. Only the TFW autists seem to be bothered by this.

Well, it is a space saver. As collections grow, room becomes a premium.

Also I can think of a few 'bots where a at attention stance fits. As long as you include a salute with it or something, anyway.

The only one I actually ended up completing was this Defensoropod, with Prowl and Mirage swapped in for Streetwise and Blades. Prowl fits in with the theme fine, but Mirage is a bit off topic.

Still, I like him. I was mostly taking a collecting break during the run of CW, and only got Rook and First Aid because they looked really cool to me.
But with two limbs you start going "yeah, maybe I should complete this" and I got Hotspot but ever could find Blades and Streetwise at the same time (mostly found a lot of pure Blades pegs, I assume with Alpha Bravo out he ended up a touch redundant) Got Prowl and Mirage in the end because at least their HFG colours matched.

A faulty gift card screwed me out of a G2 Bruticus to face him off against, because I had $100 card at the Bay, which would have made him free, but my card wouldn't frigging work and now they've delisted him with the holidays past.

Wonderfest, and Cybertron Satellite from what I remember. Not cheap either, they're going for 32. If they were sold normally, they'd probably go for 20-21 on HLJ, or Amiami.

HLJ might sell them, but not sure for how much.

My set hasn't come in yet, but are the faction symbols clear backed? If so 4 is probably to cover up the Con symbol on Skullcruncher so you can apply the other label over it.

Kind of hope arcee wins just so we can get a large arcee toy. Though they will probably just repaint something and put a chick head on it.
