I just noticed some weird variation with the hip joins on my Titan masters. Some have a pinned joint, some have a molded hole in the legs to allow for a pin, but just snap onto a nub, and some have no hole and are just snapped on... strange. Think it's a molding reuse quirk, or a running change type thing?

I've noticed the same. I've also noticed all of the pinned ones are always tight and perfect, and any of the other variations are floppy and shitty.

What's annoying me is the paint/plastic choices in TR lately. Things like HotRod's spoiler being blue plastic painted yellow. Trying to fit a toy into as few steel molds as possible is reasonable, but it's just weird to have something like Sixshot's face being cast in black plastic when there's so much white plastic used in other parts of the body.

Also, the pre-applied stickers. I honestly don't mind stickers that much but there are good and bad ways to do it. TR is just doing them wrong by pre-applying them over molded detail.

Sky Shadow looks like some KO toys. The deluxe looks fine. The voys are hit or missed.
But I don't know if it is because of the size or the colors, the TR leader line felt very cheap.

Even with Takara's touch, blaster and Ginrai still feel like that (though a lot better than hasbro's offerings)

Maybe if they are in Voy size, my opinion improve by a lot.

Eh guys first time here, I got a question about Beast Wars, so I hope I am correct here.

I am searching for a toy I had, but forgot its name.
I am not even sure if it was from beastwars, but it had clearly the sign from the evil/good guys.

It was huge, compared to the others, Had 3 Transformations, 2x Animal One Human. It was yellow-orange/black, looked like a demon and not like an animal. Also it had three spikes on his head which looked like Hairs. He also had yellow claws, three or 4 in the front on the back. 4 feet but could become bipedal.

Hope you can help me.

We have since TR Megs is Blitzwing. The figure itself, from reviews at least, looks decent.

The only thing Hasbro can fuck up at this point is the deco and by covering it with stickers, and honestly, even if they do, we'll still probably get a Takara version that won't.

So we know we've already got a decent base mold, and we've got 2 chances of a non-fucked color scheme. So theres a good chance we've got a good Blitzwing coming our way.

They have enough. They dedicate to 3 pegs for TR figures, 2 for RID, 4 small ones for activators, shelf space for up to 10 voyagers, and shelf space below that for 4-6 Leaders. The only one's getting screwed are guys who want those giant minicon using RID figures and Power Surge Optimus Prime (and Titan figures, but it's always better to get those online anyway).

It's kinda Beast Wars. Kenner did these as a tie in to Animorphs. When the line was cancelled, they had some left over designs that they used for the Beast Wars mutants, which were meant to be Animorphs tri-changers. These, such as Icebird (who turned into a snowy owl and a polar bear) had two beast modes, and some leftover bits for what would've probably been the human mode on the cancelled animorphs versions.

This is a really minor nitpick but I like it when transformers maintain the same orientation from alt mode to robot mode. It bugs me when you transform them and they end up facing the opposite direction or in some rare instances, sideways (TR Astrotrain/Sentinel)

New to collecting. What are some good sites to pick up takara and hasbro transformers and other toys like power rangers and megaman figures? I looked at bigbadtoystore but I was told they suck. Their prices seem shit but they do have a bit of everything.

Any advice?

Where you at? In the United States, the best sites for Takara figures are Amiami, HLJ, and Anime-export (this one's a last resort since you have to pay upfront for preorders, and they have a time limit for them).

Hasbro figures vary, but it's better to get them locally 90% of the time.

I am planning on buying an MP-10 Prime, what are the differences between the versions? I am thinking of going for the upcoming 3rd run. I would think the remold is supposed to go with the new Megatron I preordered?

BBTS doesn't suck, but they do charge you for shipping, which is kind of shitty. They do have good deals at times, and usually end up with plenty of stock for most things, so don't discount them.

TFSource though, they fucking suck balls since sometimes they just let your packages sit there for a week or two before shipping them out, and sometimes lie about having product in just to get sales before competitors.

But, the best advice I can always give is just to shop around. eBay, Amazon, BBTS, TFS, toydojo, etc etc. Just check every site you can and look for the best bang for your buck for any given product.

I have all of these except I have Crosscut instead of Skids and a later release of Brainstorm. My Crosscut's arm articulation is the drizzling shits and my Brainstorm is completely fine. As for the others on your list

Cutting the rubber nubs really helped.
The other issue you have to contend with is theopen hands and the melee weapon handle. The handle is not 5mm all throughout so place it in the wrong segment and wreck gar's fingers could crack.

I did the exact opposite. I bought only the OC combiners, occasionally filling limb-spots with G1 limb characters. I think the mold I ended up with the most of was Alpha Bravo. I had Blades and Alpha Bravo on Sky Reign, Vortex on Galvatronus, and then the two helicopters on whats-her-face. I really wish I'd held off on her though.

But that's what I liked about Combiner Wars, being able to just jam whoever I wanted on anyone else. Other than Victoriana or whatever mine are all hodge-podges. Sky Reign looks way better with Aerialbots than he does a bunch of cars.
