Pop the foot out, put a few layers of scotch tape on the joint head, cram it back in the socket. You just need friction and volume.

Another option is to pop the foot off, use hot to boiling water to soften the plastic and squeeze on it, let it cool, it should hold tighter.

OR another method that works, but takes longer, add a dab of Elmer's glue to the inside of the foot. Use a toothpick to get an even coat, let it dry. Add another layer, and another as they dry. Two or three coats and it should have enough friction to stay put.

So how are the hip articulations on NECA Preds and Aliens? I've wanted them for a long time but I thought they have swivel hips.

But I recently bought a NECA 94 Godzilla and was frankly astounded with the articulation and heft. That thing was Monsterarts or better quality but at just a third of the price. And I say this as someone who has a bunch of Monsterarts (albeit not Godzilla himself).

But back to the question at hand. I've seen become a bit of a NECA fan and I'm wondering if I should grab some Aliens. My main concern's the hip articulation. Simple swivel or more?

Scarface is an alt head, not a removable mask.

I think what it is is the removable masks don't justify tooling an entirely new head piece, it costs less plastic/tooling to just do a mask piece. Plus the Kenner masks only need to be accurate to the original toys so if they're a little bigger or bulky it doesn't matter, but trying to make a removable mask for a movie style head would be impossible. Not even the movie suits have properly removable masks.

Strongly disagree. With how limited the ball ankles are, the lack of calf or knee swivel changes how poseable they are significantly compared to the AVP ones. Building new CH/JH bodies from the ground up only to be inferior to the AVP one is a total buzzkill. I think these are the exact same as the last version from the hips down.

I had so much fun with the AVP figures and am disappointed to find Spiked Tail and soon the ultimates to be downgrades. At least theres always Clan Leader and Scarface.

Well we know we're getting Evil Ed from Evil Dead 2, and Ultimate Hero Ash for the 30th Anniversary.

As far as AvED S2, I have no clue, besides the replica Ash puppet they announced.
The figures I feel like could be anything. My guess is atleast a Ash with puppet hand and a new Henrietta, reusing some peices from the first. I can't imagine theyd make ANOTHER 5th Ash in the line. My guess for the last figure would be one of Ruby's adult kids.

Ideally but not realistically I would love skinless Baal(Even though I hated everything about Baal as a character), Adult Demon Spawn, and Deadite Sheryl .

Just picked up GMK Godzilla at TRU and jesus christ those bottom jaws are painted terribly. Only 2 had jaws that were mostly covered up, and one of those had a big chunk of paint missing from it's spine, so I took the other.
Other than that bizarre stuff, their Godzilla have improved. Paint detail (Besides the jaw) is nice on this one, although i would have preferred something more film accurate.
After seeing the paint job theyre doing for their shin, combined with the updated sculpt they showed off, I'm super pumped for it.

Also so Scarface Predator there. I REALLY want it, but I know there's a chance I'll be getting it for Christmas so I didn't pick it up.
It hurt cus I fee like if I dont get it, then I'll never see it again, but I know I could just get it online

Currently have Big Chap, 1989 Batman, Ultimate Ash, Tech Noir T-800 and Robocop (jet pack version) all sitting here on my desk. Never in my fucking life have I had as much fucking trouble with a figure as I've had with that Robo figure.

Buy him about 2 years ago at a comic shop in Phoeniz (live in Nashville, TN). Just decided to open him recently, and because read about how fucking delicate/breakable the fucking gun holster portion of the figure is, I ever so gingerly and carefully trying pushing the door on it closed, aaaaaaand...SNAP! Basically, this fucks me because Neca won't replace the figure unless you've purchased it through them.

My love/hate relationship with Neca continues.

The top right side of the right knee joint was totally fused to the middle/kneecap piece. I had to heat it up, take off the armor and hack through the fused plastic with my stanley knife.

Hip joints were also extremely loose right out of the box, but I've come to expect this from any predator using the P2 body.

Still a great figure overall, love the colours used on his paint and the fact that his plasma caster can be mounted onto his wrist.

You know, certain Predators have actually had well known issues, even though they've largely used the same two bodies.

That original P2 Elder from wave 3 had horrible elbows that broke really easily due to some issue with the pins in the joint, even though it was the stock and standard Jungle Hunter body.

Even though some Preds (especially on the P2 body) have loose hips, both versions of Borg were especially bad, for some reason.

Personally, I'm finding Spike Tail to have a lot of issues, and it seems to be a common thing.

People are also having issues, it seems with the Kenner Clan leaders legs being pretty much frozen solid. Also, it being the one Kenner figure they actually painted the netting on, the netting looks jank as fuck on almost all of them. I saw an entire batch at TRU where the net paint didn't even hit the net molding on the body. But the one I got, I ordered online, and the netting was painted fine. But wouldn't you know it: Both of his legs are frozen solid at the crotch.

I had almost 40 Predators up to the first AvP wave, and only had issues with maybe a couple of them. I think I've bought another dozen or so Predators since then, and at least half of them have had issues of some sort.

My clan leader had both biceps and forearms majority stuck.

No amount of heat wanted to free up the forearms easily so I eventually had to just go for it and give them a sharp twist.

Thankfully everything turned out ok and the paint fusing them let go.

Rather than twist, just pull off the stuck limbs, cool the pegs, heat the limbs up again and then pop em back on. Twisting is dangerous, especially with a heated up and flexible peg, but pulling straight should be fine.

Might have spoken too soon about Scarface. I didn't notice at first but his left elbow has the exact same issue as Spiked Tail's knee.

The middle elbow part is fused to the bicep. I've tried heating it and cutting it like I did with Spiked Tail, but this one really stuck, and the joint being a lot smaller isn't helping. I'm worried it'll break off if I keep trying to move it so I'll leave it for now.

This is the second time I'm dealing with this issue today so I have some idea of what I'm doing. Maybe my pic is bad or you guys just can't see, there is no seam between the middle part and the bicep, so the top part of the elbow joint won't move.

Okay, maybe this will help you all understand my issue better.

You see the whitened area on the plastic above the elbow joint? That's where I've had to cut because there was no gap for the joint to move (because the joint was fused to the bicep!). Despite cutting through the fusion, the joint still won't move, I've tried heating it, cooling it, pushing it, even gently twisting it, but nothing so far seems to be working.

This is probably my 25th Neca predator, I lost count. This is also the first issue I've had with a predator using the AvP body.

Just stick the figure into a mug or bowl of water that you nuked.
Try to see if joint can move after it returns to room temperature. Doesnt?
Dry it out as best as possible, usually by shaking, then stick it in the freezer for half an hour.

This should unstick any joint.

In the unlikely event that it hasn't become unstuck, you nuke the bowl again and submerge figure for a minute. Let it return back to room temp, attempt motion, and then freeze.

If it's still stuck, you're doing it wrong.

People don't just say that for the fun of it. Neca cultivated this through years of releasing figures with horrendous quality control. And despite what your cognitive dissonance will have you believe, it's commonly known all over the internet that their qc is garbage, not just this board.

The company has improved, they used to release statues, now there stuff is some of the most articulated on the market while also looking amazing. But their qc is still below the average for a good company

Neca's qc was garbage in the past, but since their Craig Windrex figure I have yet to have an issue across their multiple series, from godzilla, to pacific rim to predator, aliens and HoTS. Well here's my anecdotal evidence. In my last 5 neca products only 1 had issues, but it was assembled WRONG. I also had to use a hair drier on stuck joints for two of them, but we will ignore that.
