SAL is fine if you want a cheap alternative, and it's even more so now since the prices for EMS and DHL seem to be the same for some reason compared to a year or two back which means really expensive.

Just expect anywhere from 2 weeks minimum to a month or more for your package to get to you. Make sure you also get Registered SAL, it's the version that gives you a tracking number and insurance, you can specifically tell them in the notes how much you want them to insure you for (Up to ￥10,000) since these take so long to arrive and you don't know if they'll just disappear on you one day or end up with massive damage.

I bought this from Amazon as my first Figuarts. When i took it out of the box the package was fine but i noticed that the right side of the belt had come loose. Is it held in friction and naturally fell out or is it broken? If it is i'll try and send it back and get a refund.

I got my renewal W in a couple weeks ago and I can't get the bicep swivel to work on the joker side. I've tried the hair dryer trick, and the hot water trick and they didn't work. Ghost was such a huge let down in so many ways. Maybe trying to do some kind of spooky theme/setting is like a jinx with Kamen Rider? This, Wizard and Kiva rider were all low points in the franchise.

Got my 50th SHF Ultraman.
A lot less poseable than the Ultra Act renewal one I have. But it's a lot better sculpted in my opinion, but that's entirely because of the fact that I'm a stickler for suit accuracy. The subtle suit wrinkles do a lot for me.

Besides that, the way they engineered his waist joints were an odd choice. They don't look great, but they work fine. Still less range than the Ultract, not sure why they didn't just stick with that set up since it works better and works better.
Also his shoulder joints are so damn tight, I'm afraid of breaking them when I move them, I can see on the joint itself that the plastic is under a lot of stress when I try to move it.

The best part about this figure is all the stuff it comes with.(No victory/peace sign pose though) I have the street, the buildings, and the spaceship all set up and have this really cool looking diorama, the only problem is I don't have more streets and buildings to fit other kaiju, so I gotta get those building packs. I wish the buildings were painted, but I realize that would mean paying more.

I have the Ultra-Act and unfortunately the one I got is defective as fuck, with loose pull out hip joints straight out of the box. It has trouble standing in any pose because of how weak the hips are.

I'm wondering if the shf is a clear improvement over the Ultra-Act, was wondering if anyone here who owns both could chime in.

I actually do like the head and sculpt on the Ultra-Act Ultraman renewal just fine, was wondering if the shf is more limited articulation wise or if it's improved too.

I don't mind the suit look of the shf or more stylized aesthetic of the ultra-act, so on that end I'm not worried. Just wondering if it's also a better toy. I looked up a review and apparently his is also loose on the hips for the shf... Is this the case for everyone?

Hi! I'm an idiot with money.

It's using the modern Figuarts hips instead of drop-downs, which means a better look at the expense of articulation. The shoulders are ridiculously tight. They creak every time I move them. You can even hear the creak in that video you posted if you listen closely. The elbow swivel is a godsend, It singlehandedly makes the shoulders an annoyance rather than a deal-breaker. Accessory choice is better on the Ultra-Act. I don't care for the Figuarts' screen much. I find the Ultra-Act and the Figuarts to both be equally great. I don't know which one I would recommend.

Also, the color timer on the SHF is a bitch and a half to take out for some reason. I have considered taking sandpaper to it.

Probably a toss up between OOOs and Gaim. The OOOs mix and match style was pretty neat and everything was interchangeable with everything else, so it definitely worked really well. Only downfall though is that it wasn't compatible with the Birth Riders who did their own, less impressive thing.

With Gaim absolutely everything was interchangeable with one another and it was always compatible (except maybe his final form, i honestly don't know how that one works). The absolute best part of it though was the fact that they even did stuff like that in the show.

Ghost COULD have been better and pretty much end up as Gaim 2.0, but it fell into the bullshit trap of having some of the ghost coats only "Officially" happen during a power up form, and after the initial 15 they just released power up forms that weren't meant to be mixed and matched. Drive also could have been better if it didn't have so many power up forms that barely appear for an episode or to but come with their own exclusive accessories, not to mention any actual interaction between the riders.

Will we get Level 1 shells for all the Ex-Aid riders that didn't include one in the LVUR sets?

Also, how the heck is Bandai going to engineer Lazer Level 2 to become a full humanoid by combining with what I assume will be another support mech?

Yeah, some of the Drive designs looked really cool, but I was disappointed that they didn't seem to do much other than have removable tire parts.

The Drive gimmick line was pretty much just Fourze 2.0 except he could only use one at a time and they weren't interchangeable between forms, a huge misstep as far as i'm concerned. (Though i will admit that the Type Fruit and Dead Heat figures are pretty sweet.)

They are the DX figures, which very rarely if at all have paint on anything other than the figure itself, so it's no surprise.

The figuarts weapons look fantastic though. Especially Brave's sword.

Keep in mind that it's a big IF as to whether we even get figuarts of all the forms/characters, especially after Ghost shelwarmed so damn hard.

I completely forgot about the Ghost SHFs and how poorly they sold. Shit, now my hope is despair. Them selling so poorly is probably why they're doing a three pack though, so hopefully they sell well enough to justify at least GENM and Lazer being made.

Yeah, Ex-Aid's beginning so far has been much more warmly welcomed than Ghost's was and there seems to be alot more goodwill to the series, so while we might not get that much stuff while it's running there could be a handful of extra releases down the line, much like with Gold Drive getting a general release because of how much everyone liked the character.

Plus Ex-Aid does have a bit of an extra edge in that the Rider's bike is also one of the main characters too, so if someone wanted to get all the riders then they'd definitely need to pick up the bike as well.

Was Ghost a really unpopular series, then? The whole "powered from the souls of historical figures" thing was kinda cool but it doesn't seem like you can get good powers/weapons/abilities out of a lot of those.

They squandered every good idea for Ghost they had. IIRC, the toys sold okay to kids, but the SHFs sold terribly with adults. I think it was over a month for any one of the retail SHFs for Ghost to sell out of pre-orders, which is unheard of for Rider SHFs. Longest before that was Type Wild which took two weeks, give or take.

Judging by reactions from the Japanese fans of Rider though, Ex-Aid seems to be quite popular with them. The level 1s are subject to a lot of jokes, but level 2s and 3s have been standout with their reactions.

And Ghost suffered from a ton of big problems, from annoying characters (that in the final episode or something even they acknowledged that he was just irritating), flanderized characters and just a really big misstep in setting and tone.

I was really hype for Ghost when it first started because i was expecting this to finally be the spooky rider that Kiva and Wizard promised but never delivered, but instead it had the plot of a Sentai series and zero spooks at all.
