Titan returns seems to be in full swing in Australia, but the waves (just like CW) are a little messed up.

>trickles of wave 1 legends pop up in a store chain exclusive to one state
>said chain also got wave 2 soundwave before anyone else
>rest of the country got Titan fortress maximus before the rest of the world
>sold out before it can be sold below $200aud apart from a little toy sale that wasn't really advertised unlike the one fortress maximus was advertised with
>the chain that sold the most reasonably priced deluxe cw figures ($25aud) was the first to have wave one voyagers
>but still hasn't had the TR deluxes, titan masters, its legends are on clearance and never carried leaders
>now onto wave 2 voyagers
>the big and most expensive 2 have joined in the stocking of TR including leaders
>big 2 are most expensive towards deluxes ($29)
>tru is the only chain that reliably stocks titan masters
>had a piss all stocking of wave 1
>goes ballistic with wave 2

In short We've already jumped to wave 2 leaders (still rare for soundwave) titan masters and voyagers.

Anyway digging apeface, the lack of paint on the figure annoys me but the vehicle is a clear homage which works fine, I'm not keen on getting legends condor *just* for a better titan master figure, not when the head face already has more than enough paint.

I'll be laughing if we got wave 3 any time before december

It's fine, the head isn't painted on that sample which combined with the low resolution makes it look like a bootleg square eye BW megatron. You have to look closely and find the visor area and then you realise it's a nicely rendered version of the original toy's face sculpt.

New Zealand here:

We have Wave 1 Titan Masters at one chain, Wave 1 Deluxes at another and Fortress Maximus at the latter. No Legends, Voyagers or Leaders as of yet, or anything from Wave 2 or up.
>>
>>5879995
least the main 2 (deluxes and fort max) are available, hope the others come to you guys soon
>>
>>5879998
The street-date here was supposedly September, so I think what we have now is just shops pushing stock out early, with the exception of Fort Max who was released early, presumably so people could layby him for Christmas presents.
>>
>>5879999
We had fort max early as well for the same reason, considering that was over a month ago now I think their plan worked.

Makes me think though, why are we shuffling down to wave 2 stuff already, did australia only get a small allocation of the titan masters and voyagers, I know we got plenty of deluxes and leaders (oddly depending where you go if its not scourge peg warming its skullmasher, though blurr would be sitting beside scourge)

Truthfully I had 2 more TM vehicles to fill the undersides of his hands but that's alot of weight to bare and I wanted to show as many as I could in one shot.

If I stumble upon it again I'll tell you, but the manga itself isn't tf related.

I think I found the limits of jetfire.

That said I noticed something, every single peg hole on jetfire is at a different tolerance, some fit better than others.

And oddly, legends hardhead vehicle is slightly smaller resulting in a slightly looser fit, while crashbash's dino is so thick no matter which port he goes into, his handle peg gets stuck, ever damn time.

But the 2 shockwaves are the loosest of the bunch, the only ports they can fit into without the secondary handle blocking them and its only because of that secondary handle that's keeping them up at that angle.

I'm sorry anon, did you really stop at legends hardhead just to post that?

Also I didn't mention terribull's tank, while hardhead's spins freely in all the ports, terribull's just falls on out on half of them, he was the one that lead me to believe some of the ports just have different tolerances.

And I never had anything to say about legends skullcruncher's dino either, him and grimlock have equally behaved.

So, in short, its 50/50 here, since they are made in the same factories, as I...hope you knew, but hay, A+ for making me chuckle, so have shockwave playing with himself as a reward, you've earnt it m8

Alpha Trion - worth getting? I kind of want him after seeing that little exchange between him and Sentinel Trump.
>>
>>5880113
He's a big burly guy so if you still picture him as a frail old man that's a knock, another is lack of waist articulation, and while his lion mode rear legs move well the front are limited so you don't get a good range out of the front legs, the cruiser form is good but a mode now clearly made for someone else.

He's ok, but he ain't no rook or sentinel prime/astrotrain
>>
>>5880116
>lack of waist articulation

There's no excuse for that these days.
>>
>>5880113
I guess if you want a transformable representation of Alpha Trion it's probably the best?
>>
>>5880117
That said hardhead doesn't have that either and people like him

>>5880119
One that...isn't a botcon exclusive.

The vector prime retool fits him pretty well, I only hope when they retool this into him (eventually) it'll be done even better
>>
So who owns the rights to Circuit Breaker?
Like I know that Death's head is with Marvel.
>>
>>5880123
Marvel again if the wiki is to be believed.

>At the request of Bob Budiansky, she was published in that book before her debut in Transformers solely so Marvel Comics could claim ownership of the character[1]... or at least, she appeared as Circuit Breaker in Secret Wars II before Transformers, as Josie Beller she'd already turned up. "Circuit Breaker" is the trademark, so this probably makes sense for lawyers, but it gives us a headache.
>>
>>5880117
As much as I wish all figures had some sort of torso/waist articulation, there's $200+ transforming toys that don't. And not just Transformers.
>>
>>5880116
>if you still picture him as a frail old man

I imagine that's going to be a point in the story. Sovereign's supposed to be hooked up to Primus himself. And he's currently a hostage of Infinitus / Sentinel Prime.

So maybe Alpha and Sovereign join forces to take on Sentinel.

There has to be a reason Sentinel Prime is so powerful. Megatron pwned him back in the day.
>>
>>5880226
>Megatron pwned him back in the day
I have a copy of megatron origins and it looked like sentinel in the apex armor was gonna win until he snuck up behind him and took him by surprise.

Dunno if that changed in other comics later on since in the one shot it was stated someone took sentinel's head off his corpse which wasn't in megatron origins...or even his death (though implied to be a coverup since he was utterly fucked...from behind)

Looks like some areas while blank on the hasbro version were intentionally made for detailing, like the square where the autobot logo goes, didn't even notice the yellow bit on the forhead or the fact there was detailing there to allow for it.

I don't get what's going on, the majority of these toys are designed by hasbro, is that right, why even add all those details if you aren't gonna pick at them, better off leaving them smooth surfaces unless each etching on the plastic saves money somehow (which would be pathetic to go so far).

But I guess it leaves us options...pic related.

Are you afraid the takara cucks are really gonna dismantle whatever argument you'll ever make up, come on man, man the fuck up, hasbro blurr isn't even that bad, it even has the same amount of color apps on it, just used differently.

And being the same fucking toy but cheaper (due to importation cost and the rising yen) it works out better for the rest of us, and even if we get paint supplies we can potentially make a BETTER one than takara's efforts and still be cheaper.

So i just found out the order i placed for some Takara legends has shipped out but actually has been divided into half now.

Titans Return Galvatron is the biggest piece of shit to roll out. Seriously whoever thought that shitty mask was going to be a good idea should get fired. Don't bother, waste of money. Fuck this foul cancer that plagues us.
>>
>>5880982
Take-Off bugs me, too. Blast Off is my favorite Combaticon, so I grabbed the UW version. but to me, Blast Off is white and black and purple, so the new G2 version isn't ideal at all.

I'll probably cruise Shapeways for a replacement head or something in a few days or so.

New guns would be nice, too.

I just read through it. I'm not 100% sure I'm comfortable with pulling the legs apart, but might give it a go. Luckily, he stands up just fine in robot mode with the legs mistransformed. Because it was a compromise and diluted the original ideas.

1) original plan: beastformer that served as a combiner torso in CW
2) now changed in TR to a Headmaster with an additional ship mode to make him a Triple changer to remold into Broadside.

Alpha Trion is what happens when you compromise too much on something.

The actual release the mask is a spring loaded attachment that pops out of the chest from a panel. The mask does hinder the movement of the head. You can't move the head when the mask is in use. Also the mask seems to be specifically designed for the Nucleon titan head. If you use other titan master heads some may not line up properly with the Galvatron mask. I recommend waiting for a 3rd party release of a helmet or something.

Hivemind?

I saw a similar version of this that uses the lower legs from Activators Animated Grimlock. It looks alright but needs some sculpting to keep the legs from looking like three separate segments.

The flat chest in and of itself isn't that bad, as it looked like a flattened pelt on the show. It's just the crotch jutting out too much that makes it look like such a bother. I just keep thinking it looks like there should be a slide joint that pushes it back.

You know, I take back what I said, considering how Alpha Lion here actually has Titan Master pegs on his "base" mode I threw together, I think it's better than Astrotrain's. There are 4 ports on the legs, I love it.

>>5881150
You can probably get basically the same thing, and the arms will look better probably. The only thing you'll be missing from what I see is the crotchpiece which I think looks pretty rad in the front.
>>
>>5881507
>alpha trion is unironically better than astrotrain
holy kek
>>
>>5881512
Well honestly, Astrotrain is probably the better toy. (Though I prefer Sentinel's colors and character, Astrotrain feels a bit vanilla.) Alpha Trion is roughly Galvatron-tier. The lion mode is kinda crap but it's passable, and the ship mode is meh, mostly because it feels like the middle part of an aircraft carrier with half of a lion's head hanging on the side. And in robot mode, he feels fat, and my claws on him are a little flimsy.

But it certainly is pretty decent, I like the colors on him. And I think the base mode you can make is better than Astrotrain's. Honestly it's hard to pick a decent recommendation if you only want one voyager, because so far I think they all have ups and downs.

At least it's a MUCH better start with voyagers compared to CW.
>>
>>5881522
I enjoyed Galvatron despite his hideous mask (I just keep it folded down and wait for the shapeways one) so I'm probably going to like A3. Thanks anon
>>
>>5881533
Yeah, if you're fine with Galvatron's issues, then you will probably enjoy A3 as well. Not that they have the same type of problems, just that they're on a similar level. And they're still better than the last couple of voyagers.

I inserted very thin wooden bits between the connects, but this only lets me insert the Scourge head facing the wrong way. It's secure enough that he won't fall out, but no other TM fits now.

And yes, the connector is definitely fucked since the bumps on it are not capable of grabbing a TM correctly, and the connector is lose (I don't even know how to take it out).

I loved CW. The only hate for it I understand is the repaint/retool waves for non-combiner characters.

And we'll be getting the same damn thing with TR anyway, so theres no real reason to bitch. No one's forcing you to buy Sentinel, Alpha, Galvatron, Blur, etc.
>>
>>5881734
>so theres no real reason to bitch. No one's forcing you to buy
That is is my same sentiments. If you don't want it just don't buy it. I don't want Sentinel and Galvatron but I still got them cause they was an error in pricing and I got them for like less than 40% of how much it is usually sold in our local Walmart and TRU, so I said why not.

I wish Galvatron was better done. I need a Galvatron figure, and the 3P ones out currently are shit and so are all the officials. Can't believe it's so hard to get a good Galvatron.
