>that one "dream" Nendoroid you wanted for a long time but when it finally got announced you stopped caring
Did it ever happen to anyone here?
I really wanted Teto Kasane around the time they showed GUMI but when the actual Teto nendoroid happened I barely reacted.
I felt the same way about Teto. Only two faces and two accessories, yet Max Factory still felt the need to make one of her iconic poses an exclusive pre order bonus. I'm still getting her though, Teto has fucking NOTHING in terms of figures
not sure about the red one yet but will probably sell it off too
>"ABS & PVC Painted non-scale trading figures. Approximately 45mm in height (body only). Total of six to collect including one secret body."
does gsc mean there is another 7th secret body included or that the 6 already shown one is the secret?
sorry english isnt my native language so I kinda dont get it
You won't have any trouble at all moving the red and black one. And the suits might move pretty quickly, too, with so much Touken Ranbu stuff on the way. You should consider a group buy.
I already PO from yorokonde. If I sell them 10 euro a body I think they will sell okay. At worst I can sell it to german facebook for figur sales.
Didnt really want to stress myself with those group order stuff and running after peoples payment.
They confirmed another statue is to appear at Wonfes. We can only hope there's more than that. Still really, really hoping for pic related.
I like the disgruntled glasses girl, but the others are just generic moeblobs. There's nothing interesting about their designs. Glasses girl is quite cute and at least not completely generic however.
I'm so glad I bought the Japanese Life sets back when they released. I was looking into them recently since I lost the little katana stand and wouldn't mind having a backup buy holy shit, they got expensive.
Wish I grabbed the school set when I had the chance.
but she doesn't actually look all that gyaru, they've ignored all the outlandish makeup and clothing iconic of gyaru and just made a girl that looks like any blonde anime character ever. Her face is not significantly different or interesting compared to most anime characters and indeed only looks remotely gyaru when next to the 'normal' characters of the anime. They've neglected that gyaru is to make a statement and to look shocking, not just to look sexy. They didn't even bother to make her excessively tan, I know that is a subset of gyaru but regardless it's much more recogniseable than being blonde. Pic related; actual girls in Gyaru fashion. Nothing about the character you posted suggests gyaru to me, to the extent where it never crossed my mind. Even if her character is in anyway individual her design isn't, it's as generic as anything.
But that's Ganguro, which isn't popular at all in Japan and hasn't been for 15 years.
Gal Fashion =/= Ganguro
You are retarded and are assuming Japs associate gyaru with ganguro like foreigners do, I agree with you that Galko is generic but you are dumb if you think that's what gyaru is at all.
Well, I'll agree I got that wrong. I don't know that much about Jfashion, but at the same time that character would make a boring nendo. Don't we have enough moeblobs now Love Live etc are getting so many.
But do we have enough cane using shota Rakugo performers that grew up in brothels?
Same here. Wish I could get my hands on the classroom set, though I'd happily buy the restaurant and culture festival sets if I found them.
Honestly, I don't even own any Nendoroids, but I love that playset for my smaller Revoltechs and figmas.
I know chibi credits have been a thing for since forever, but now everything with cute girls suspiciously has Nendoroid proportion chibi credits now. It's like every studio is in a mad dash to tell GSC " LOOK, LOOK! MAKE NENDOS OF OUR CUTE GIRLS! LOOK AT THIS, RIGHT HERE!"

> Kirby on time but Umaru delayed
I suppose I have a February order now.
I have the western room set and i goth both new at a reasonable price. I will buy the wedding set and that will go perfectly with my set.
I wish i had the restaurant playset, since that one is so cute.
>Delayed from January 2016 to April 2016:
>Good Smile Company - Nendoroid Link: Majora's Mask 3D Ver.
That's a huge delay.
You guys new? There's plenty more Nendos announced before Genos that don't have prototypes or a painted prototype yet. You aren't displaying a level of patience remotely reasonable for this hobby.
Oh wait, you're complaining about Genos? Yeah you are new to this hobby. You need discipline.
forgot the link
Nendoroid Akashi Kai
There will be Yugi one probably in few months. They're just releasing male nendos buttslow, because most of us here likes moeshit, let's admit it
Personally, I'd like Aoi Toori Nendoroid. All the faces he makes jesus christ.
I would like following Nendos:
Moon Princess / Arceluid
Ciel, Hunter Edition
Ruler / Jeanne
Assassin of Black / Jack the Ripper
FYI if anyone wants Patchouli I found her on eBay for $30. Seller is "Beat the Bomb" from Australia.
Pretty okay deal for a newer Touhou. I've never used this seller before but MFC doesn't have a knock off listed so it should be legit (hopefully).
They made Umaru's proprotions built around the manganime where she's two heads high compared to the two and a half of normal nendoroids.
I was looking for her on some other sites and found her for like $55-60 so was happy to find her for $30 since I missed preorder. Good to hear she goes for about that much usually and I didn't get ripped.
Well aware that there's always whiny newcomers, just letting 'em know they're stupid for it.
Ah, I had forgotten that there was a western room set. Looks good! I agree that the restaurant one is cute as well.
Speaking of playsets, anyone here own the Nendoroid More Cube sets? How are they? Looks like the backdrops are made of paper.
I had this crazy idea for a picture and I think it turned out alright.
I have it and yes the backdrop is garbage in my opinion. Its just paper and they give you stickers to put different chalk writing on.
But the laptop, books, and desks are pretty cute
wow dude you are better off printing/ pasting em dang
It always made too much sense in my mind and now they went and showed it and maybe released it and the face immediately turned me off.
SSB Mega is a best Mega.
Yeah, I knoe
Ha, thank you!
Yeah, I'm kind of happy with the left one actually, the way the colors came out, and it's on the smooth side. I do admit it does look exactly like a bootleg nendo face though, lol.
It actually looks decent I think when I put it in my Snake nendo (hides the ugly eyebrows lol) ( )
The one on the right definitely looks like shit in the photo, and I definitely went overboard with it... I may try and just wash it off and start from scratch, or go over it or something. Thanks.
I was thinking of printing some but it was too much trouble :\
woa M8 thats a legit Red ? luuuckky !
and is that a Lucina figma in the back or wut
Yeah, I got really lucky with Red as I got into collecting after his release, but I found him used on ebay for like 70 bucks...still pricey, but still jumped at it.
And yep, that is Lucina. Pretty happy with her too - She was keeping me from buying the Marth nendo, but I think I'll be getting him as well.
I know I'm way late to the party but I just got myself a Sakura nendo. I'd been eyeing her since release but missed out.
I remember everyone really complaining about how much of a pain it was to pose her. I can see why for most but I have small dexterous fingers so it wasn't too much of an issue for me. I do find that she is way heavier than any nendo I ever owned and realized her head is actually magnetic! For the cap to stay on. I wonder if that means the kirby nendo will be quite fat/heavy for his size haha.
Why though? isn't tales extremely popular in Japan?
Like there are fucking Tales of collabs with random Japanese fashion brands
Thanks for the tip, going to order around 100 of these right from the manufacturer and sell them to you bozos at 500% markup
well Panty & Stocking nendos are also magnetic dude , maybe some more but got no idea about em ....
get a Tomoyo for your Sakura nendo senpai
>tfw mega January order
>amiami points will barely scratch it
Why would I be mad?
I admit I'm being jerky though, but people would keep shitting on me for using GSC's site, yet here I am out on top.
I'm just pointing this out in case this helps anybody else in the future.
>Free shipping for delayed items
>Added shipping for delayed items
>No bonus items
You do the math.
Well ordering from GSC does seem to have it's benefits. If you're only charged 2,000 yen for shipping no matter how large your order is. Then it works out as long as you're ordering several things at once. Only problem is you have to order something during the 1 month it's available.
True, but Amiami isn't too different with its order window. Sometimes of course its much less when an items sells out on there quickly; sometimes of course, you can order it from there until release. So yes, if you miss it from GSC's site you can use Amiami as a backup.
Also, curious how many items about it would take to save your moneys worth.
Say, you order 3 Nendoroids from GSC, for a flat fee of 2000 JPY.
Now, what if you order from Amiami, to say, the middle of the US? 1 Nendoroid would cost about, I don't know, 800 JPY to ship. So, I would imagine since the box becomes heavier, that adding a 2nd, and then 3rd Nendoroid, would push the shipping up to say, 2000-2400. Therefore, GSC is already on the verge of winning, and then add bonus's in.
Just curious if I'm missing anything.
Yes you are correct, if you are ordering more than 2 nendos at once, then GSC would be the better option. But I think the problem is that you only have a month to preorder something on GSC, so if there's only say 1 you want at the time it's just cheaper to order elsewhere. On amiami you have until they run out of stock.
I'm in MA here. East coast, so literally the furthest a Japanese package could possible travel, but I am right next to JFK's customs, so I'm not sure if that helps.
Anyway, EMS for one Nendoroid from Mandarake was 1680 yen, so even just getting two nendoroids from GSC would be saving money.
But you are also forgetting about the price difference. Perrine, for example, has no bonus. She costs 4110 at amiami and 5184 from GSC directly. Taking that into account, GSC wouldn't win until you get three or four Nendoroids at once. The problem there is that many people don't want that many nendoroids a month while on amiami, you can combine other things into your order. Depending on purchasing preferences, it is almost one hundred percent based on exclusives or not, and many people don't like the idea of being forced to use GSC to get a bonus item regardless of price.
You are not totally correct, butthurted anon
Let's check again
>You get charged full price, compared to other stores
>No store points or free shipping if your PO (Tokyo Otaku Mode)
>You can't combine order from the normal store and Wonfes orders, even if they are released the same month
>PO window for only one month
With AmiAmi, HS, or other stores is true that you don't get bonus items, but that's it
>Other Stores (AmiAmi,TOM,Etc)
>Price discounts (no full price charge)
>Store Points for discounts
>You can combine orders, even if one is a delay from the previous month
>Preowned section (AmiAmi or Timelords store)
>Shipping isn't as flat price as GSC, but if your order have multiple items, the amount is still cheaper than send shipping them individually
>Free shipping in PO on TOM for a limited time
>discount codes on TOM (Pyramid scheme some says)
>PO window open even days before release
The only benefit of ordering from GSC is the bonus item is the figure have one, which isn't much most of the time, otherwise I always go with other stores
Ok, yeah I understand. Seems like it could go either way depending on what you're looking for. I just see so many people shitting on GSC's site when there can actually be some nice advantages. I guess I understand though people don't like feeling cornered into using a site for an exclusive item?
I suppose the main example I'm thinking of is when half of /toy/ was throwing a giant shit fit over the Kirby / Megaman nendoroids and their extras etc., yet, I would imagine a majority of the people that would want one of those Nendos, and collect, would want the 2 other Nintendo ones announced that same day. Therefore I figured everyone would rejoice in using GSC's site and cheap shipping. But, idk!
I forgot about the discounts that other stores have, so you might not be saving any money unless you're ordering 4+ at once. And I think it would be difficult to find 3-4 nendos that I would want within that 1 month preorder window.
Well again if you are ordering a couple at a time the bonus kind of pays for itself, is what my point was, but yes, exactly what you said.
Luckily, they announced Kirby, Megaman, and Link the same day. I'd imagine the other vidya figure collectors would have done what I did, but I suppose not.
36000 here if I combine my Kirby's (1 order for me and for a friend)
I'm still debating if the shipping would end up really bad if I combined or just keep them seperate. I've already experienced a 5k shipping box and January is packed.
See, this is exactly what I mean. How many fucking Nendos did you order for January, 10?
If you ordered 10 damn Nendos in January why didn't you order them from GSC and save on shipping?
No, it's a bunch of different figures but at varying sizes. I honestly debated getting Kirby but held off past the order window for GSC. Then I wanted to get a friend one so another Kirby was added last second. The Twitter video was the real convincing part since I wasn't sure on the magnets.
Yeah you're right maybe he ordered other things
Anyways yeah. Do you really think I'm in the minority? I figured a lot of people who were going to order 1 of those Nendos were going to order all 3. Am I really the only one?
Tomoyo is definitely on my wishlist! I need to get Sakuras friendly lesbian stalker
Ahh I never had a nendo so far with magnets and since everyone was freaking out about kirby, I thought it was a new thing. I can see that stockings bow would be magnetic, but what is it about Panty that is magnetic?
Usually I wouldn't care about the exclusives on GSC but it was a bit hard to swallow $20 for a freakin' tomato accessory
>but I still needed it for my kirby autism
I don't know why everyone is up in arms over the Link DX figma though. Its like $10 extra and you get a butt load of accessories
Oh wow, thanks, just checked a Japanese site and got way more info...
It reached my place. Of course, since I'm at work, it got a Return to Sender. Fuck.
I wish I could ship packages to my office but I can't. Gotta ship em to my apartment where I'm not home, yay.
Looks like I'm taking a trip to the post office tonight, tomorrow, and the next night to get my package.
Yeah, sometimes they do that. You have to track on both. Glad you are getting it soon.
Call your post office. Don't ask me.
You should read MFC users QQing over that. They're mad that there's two versions in the first place. Fucking weebs and /v/tards, man. And it's not even exclusive. It's only exclusive in Japan shop (which is probably why they're mad because they all buy from Amislut)
I think imca also has a magnet because I don't see any holes in her back.
>Its like $10 extra and you get a butt load of accessories
Because it's not just an extra $10 in some contries. And if you order from GSC you have no option but to pay their forced 2k EMS shipping.
>tax, handling fees, extra fees
It ends up being way too expensive. With stores like Amiami not only that the item is cheaper but the shipping is too, and you get to pick whatever you want as a shipping option.
>mad because truth got told
>saying shit just to be saying it
not that anon (unlike him, i already preordered Kirby) but Nintendo nendoroids rarely went rare
The only exception were the two Isabelle but one already geta re-release and i dont doubt the other will soon
What is your "dream" nendoroid (one that exists), the one at the top of your wish list.
For me its Neptunia if I could ever find her for sale
>only sold on mandarake once
>Only sold once.
Leave it to /v/ to not know how to properly use Mandarake.
Sorry anon... actually not from /v/ but apparently just retarded. I sometimes search mandarake with japanese but its hit or miss if they tag it with that. I will continue stalking the website with your keywords. Thanks for the info though
>also what the fuck is with the /v/ bogey man around here holy poop
>tfw can't cancel Amiami order to buy the Umaru in the BST
Kahotan previewed nendoroid Koishi Komeiji:
She'll be a goodsmile shop exclusive as per usual with all the touhou nendo's.
Well, just got my Mega Man!
Super excited, the box looks amazing. I only opened the package but didn't open the box yet, because I had to run back to work - can't wait to get home and open him!!!
I know a lot of you don't care, but addressing those who might a little bit.. Why doesn't she have a Nendo yet? Isn't she one of the most popular?
she's popular and I'm surprised she hasn't had one but not the most.
>TWW HD comes out
>Nendoroid Link announced
>Majoras Mask comes out
>Link Majoras ver. is released
You know who is coming next
Hahahaha yeah, I saw that, fuckin awesome. I'd love a Producer Nendo, but I doubt it'd be seriously considered. He's not a goddamn sword boy, so I don't think Orange Rouge would even show interest.
Producer really is the best though.
Really good. Never used her base and stand seeing she can display herself just fine.
Plus you can stuff almost everything in her head. Never found the need to even open the box to swap parts now.
So if I order Kirby now from amiami will I still be part of the first wave that gets him?
Okay so I just opened my Mega Man and a word of warning to you folks who haven't gotten him yet.
The front of the helmet is curved, obviously, and it tends to hug around the faceplates. The first time swapping mine was a scary experience because I thought I was going to break the damn thing. After that, though, it's relatively easy for me to swap the faces. This is also a problem because there's contact, and this really has me worried about paint transfer over time.
Finally my Satsuki arrived ,my Kill la Kill nendo collection is completed....
yet I feel empty...
my autism doesnt let me open them and enjoy em...
had to get a second fight club mako to display...
Pic related is not so great (shit phone), but she just arrived ! It was my first Nendo ever, I had the opportunity to spot her on ebay in my country and I'm really satisfied. I might buy some other Nendo if I have the chance, in the future.
Looks breety good
What do you guys think about this?
Does anyone have the original release?
I have the original release.
It's a little bit frustrating to be honest lol, knowing I spent 75 bucks on the thing. I'll still be getting the new one. As of now, I'll just have 2 Reds. Considering painting one but I'm shit with customs. May give one to a friend.
France. I was pretty lucky to find Cynthia sold by someone in France. If I bought directly from Japan, I have a high risk of custom fees (which make the figure a lot more expensive in the end). It always dissuades me to buy in Japan.
It's not much help in this case since the red figures are pokemon center exclusive, but for your average nendo I just use amiami and pick air small packet as shipping method.
It's only a bit more than standard SAL but it's almost as quick as EMS and I've never got tagged for customs when using it. I'm in the UK but I've heard that this works all over Europe.
Who knows, maybe Red will show up on eBay, sold by some in France just as my Cynthia did (she was brand new, box sealed and all) !
And maybe one time I'll try to order from Japan with your method of the air small packet for shipping. Thanks for the tip anyway !
I'm pretty fucking pissed.
I have the original release and now i want this one. I'm sure its going to be $50+ because muh anniversary and muh Red. I don't want to miss on the starters but I might have too... Just depends when it releases since this year so many figures are releasing.
>This special limited-edition Red: Champion Ver. posable figure includes: 1 body, 2 faces, 4 arms, 2 legs, 2 Poké Balls including Ultra Ball and Great Ball, a base with stand, and 3 Pokémon—Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise plus their battle effects! Use the different face parts and different arms to customize Red and get the look you want.
>Great and Ultra Ball
Fuck my life I'll probably buy it now.
It's up on the site with no pictures or price though
I have the original Red release.
I got him a few weeks before they announced this fucker, too. But I'm ok with it. I have the D-Arts line which I adore, so I've no interest in buying this.
I know with the 20th anniversary it makes sense to release Red (he is the first trainer after all), but as some other Anons were saying, it would've been great if they had announced another trainer. Maybe Yellow with the Johto starters. I'd buy the shit out of that.
lol I added 2 Nendoroids to my January AmiAmi. What the hell. These things are like fucking crack...
I don't see it unless you pre-order stuff like crazy. Same thing like those who say this hobby is like a slippery slope.
Then again I'm thankful I'm not a Love Live or KanColle fan to buy each Nendo they release.
Got Oikawa in the mail today.
Really cute, but unfortunately I found a painting error on his best face plate. I heard GSC is pretty good about these things, so I'm going to e-mail them now.
It's a possibility but by no means does a Nendoroid plus key say anything. 80% of the time it's "well this character isn't getting a Nendo, so... have a key chain!"
Again, not out of the question, just don't get your hopes up.
thank you mail man for driving out in the blizzard to deliver me this
>mfw I hate the disgusting jointed SAS
>mfw GSC is my favorite figure company, would really love to see what they could do
>I just want cute little jojo characters, I'd literally buy any chara
wow mandarake sure is thirsty with the re-release coming out
HAH! Pathetic. At this point anybody is just paying $100-$200 for Charmander Bulbasaur and Squirtle.
If they REALLY wanted to capitalize, they could release them and other stylized Pokemon Nendo as Nendoroid More packs. That'd be interesting.
I understand where you're coming from. I'm not entirely in love with SAS, they have poor quality control sometimes, and yeah the joints suffer because of it, but yeah I would absolutely love a Jonathan, Joseph, and Jotaro Nendo. The JoJo holy trinity.
I just got my second Nendoroid, Mugi from K-on!, but she's an older one whose base I can't make sense of for the life of me. Like, I see how it fits together, & I've got it that way, but I can't get her legs to snap into it or whatever. The only tutorial I could find online had broken link images.
How do I use the damn thing?
Just going off of the images I can find on google, it doesn't look like it snaps on but instead just has the skirt rest on them with the plastic pieces going around her legs.
But I could be wrong.
They've been on my wishlist for awhile! I also like/own the Yugioh one coin figures so I really like the megahouse ones.
Well, what I mean is, the legs don't perfectly go into the thing. It doesn't necessarily have to snap, but there's a width issue, I guess you could say, as if the legs were just a tad too far apart... I dunno. I can kinda rig it to where she's resting atop it, but I can't see that being a permanent solution. If I walk into the room at a quick pace she'd likely topple over.
If this is what it looks like to you then i'd have to guess that's how it's supposed to be.
Mind posting a picture?
So apparently there are two different versions of the Megaman Nendoroid box, one that says Mega Man and one that says Rock Man.
Mine says Mega Man, but I went into Image Anime and they had a box that said Rock Man on it.
Anyone know why the difference? I guess it's because I ordered from GSC, and they got it somewhere from a Japanese site?
The trick was fitting the skirt, not the legs. So I'm good now, I think.
Made her some cotton candy, too.
I know Image Anime has a small tag on some boxes that show where they got their stuff from but that's news to me.
I believe it says Tokyo Connection on them to indicate their source. Still some silly prices unless you really missed out.
My vader nendo has a very loose waist joint. Is this normal?
>payed $90 for Red with starters for myself like a month ago
>bought a SECOND one for $110 for a close friend that loves pokemon as a gift
>turns out the week before he actually ordered one for himself
>figure I can just resell the one i got for him
So how fucked am I? How much did the new one kill this one's value. What's the most i can get?
Fuck you, anon This is probably her last good chance. Zelda still has all of the main games. For me if they just show interest in making anyone other than Link then it's already a good thing.
I have no interest in the new version since I already own the evolved figuarts, but I'm glad it's coming because now scalpers like these will get fucked and I'll get a decent price on the starters Red.
Gorilla girl makes 3/4 Nisekoi nendos.
Completion demands I get Marika, though I've never been too fond of her. Should I?
Guys i'm moving next weekend and i'll have to move again in like 6 months.
I thought about keeping the Nendoroids i have(and my Figmas) in their boxes until i move again, but i heard somewhere that if you keep them in their box for too long, the joints will become less moveable or something like that.
I know it's not ''that'' long but i just want to be sure.
Never heard of joints becoming less movable just from being in the boxes. If you leave them in cold temperatures then I'd worry about the joints just because the plastic hardens and becomes brittle.
Now plasticizer is a different problem. If figures are left sealed for long periods of time they will leak plasticizer which will collect on the figure and make them really sticky. This mostly happens on older figures that have never been opened. It's easy enough to fix though, just gotta grab some not harsh dishsoap and give the figure a wash.
6 months isn't that long. If you keep your boxed figures in decent temperature you'll be fine.
When Megaman was first announced I thought he was so cute, but when he released he was so underwhelming... I've wanted to make this picture for awhile comparing the two of the prototype and the final release. Imo the initial prototype was heavily based on the Smash version, while maybe they went for a more retro look with the release?
1) Arm band on left is more protruding and parallel with his arm. While on the right is smaller and more convex
2) Helmet has a small rim around the visor area(?) on the left, while the release removed this detail
3) Eyes on the left have a completely different positioning of the glisten in the iris.Left has no weird line near the bottom of the eye creating that squinty/puffy cheek look. Outline of the eye is thinner and more of a square that was rounded out shape, while on the right is thicker and more rounded
4) The nozzle of his blaster has a small ridge at the base, while on the right this was removed
5) Small detail on his pelvis which is also removed upon release
6) Shoes are more ridged and the upper parts look more separate from his feet. Very similar to how they look in Smash. They also have small detailing. On the right this is removed and the upper and lower part of the shoe are completely smoothed into 1 piece.
7) The face vs helmet space ratio seems very different. The prototype has the face occupy half of the head while the release is much more condensed into the lower area of his head
one final thing I notice between the two is that the Megaman on the left has torso more resembling an upside triangle. While on the right his torso is the opposite of this.
(sorry for my poor writing skills, hopefully my image can help with what I am trying to explain)
Oh no its okay anon, it didn't really take me that long. What it is the point of the contest?
I still feel like the one on the left is leagues better than the one on the right. I found the release so repulsive lol
Yeah. The series are unfinished, the mango's in limbo and the nendos are overpriced. I was keeping filling gsc surveys with cries for all seven of them as petits but it makes no sense anymore.

What else do you guys use to clean your nendos other than the lint-free cloth? I'm starting to notice some stains that aren't removed by the cloth, and I'm kinda worried.
There's someone else in my room so I can't go full fag so I'm not able to take care of it enough.
Want to get a WW link nendo , but they are quite a few bootlegs out there, any tips on spoting a real link nendo from a fake ?
I think it's "no fun allowed" title. Batman Nendo had similar titling.
Maybe it's because of some other superheroes Nendoroid like Iron Man got like 20 different editions. And well, there are many incarnation of Batman.
Personally, I like to see them try to do 70s/80s/90s animation one correctly.
