Shitting Christ. I hate to dig up the "fucking /v/" routine, but that certainly applies here. I can't think of a single instance where a figure was canceled after preorders opened. Even if there's an issue with Kirby, the worst that'll happen is that he'll get delayed. But considering that it looks like the final product has already been manufactured, that seems unlikely at this point. Either way, they'll give a final word on the matter (either a shipping date or a delay notification) in one of their weekly release updates this month - if not today, one of the other Mondays in January.

Man it's hard trying to find that damn WoN Gold Mario. All the TRU/Target stores near me have told me that they have been getting calls non-stop regarding those toys.

Would it be better to just buy the regular Mario and repaint the fucker in gold or any other fucking variant? I have the Figuarts Mario; if I just want to make simple snapshots and stop motion, can I use like a temporary latex paint? Would that damage the figure?

Snagged Ocarina Link today. He's both an improvement and yet a step back from the Skyward Sword version. I feel like he really was meant to be 4" given his sometimes sloppy sculpt, especially on his sword's sheath, but I do prefer the ankle joints on this version versus the double-ball joints we had before(They're swivel-hinge, though I'd have liked them inverted). Also, his wrists, thankfully, are about the same angle this time around, so it won't be as awkward to have things that aren't swords held in his sword hand.

That said, whoever sculpted him clearly sculpted his right arm to be in a shield-ready position, you can't get that arm as close to the body as the left nor can you straight the elbow fully. I might see if I'm ok with Skyward having huge hands if they're compatible, because overall, that's the only real issue I have with that version, personally.

If you want a smash display the megaman d-arts scales better with most figures, there is also the koto model kitbof mega man for a cheaper alternative as the d-arts can be kinda pricey. If you just want a smash nendo group just get the nendos, all I will say is that if you stick to one one brand your display won't be very large. It really depends what you want.

Mother has moderate popularity in japan, figures aren't that impossible. I imagine ness has the better chance then lucas however as mother 2 is more fondly remembered there as it had a more lighthearted nature and is nostalgic to them. My personal opinion with this is that the Mario and Luigi are best for a Smash display, along with nendos like Toon Link, Sonic, and Kirby coming out. For Megaman, I think it's up to personal preference; a Nendoroid would definitely work and fits better than I think the Mario and Luigi nendoroids would. I had the Koto kit myself. It was nice, but I wasn't very happy with it and it was also very tall. The D-arts is very expensive now so fuck that, for me at least.

I think the best time to release a Mother figure would be during an anniversary. Itoi just held a Mother event last year that had a lot of people attend

It would probably be of Ness, since his game has been out for longer and he's been in every Smash Bros. game so far. (That increases the userbase by a large margin) Give him a cute Mr. Saturn accessory and bam, it's marketable.

As for the brand? Figuarts would work the best. The Mother kids are proportioned kind of like Mario--Too short for Figma, but too tall for Nendo. (I could see Nendos working out though, but I wouldn't prefer them) Also, for the record, Mother was included on a Figuarts survey asking about Nintendo franchises, so it's been considered. Not one of their first choices I bet, but one down the line perhaps.

On a side note, I'm baffled Captain Falcon hasn't gotten anything yet. I know, F-Zero is dead, etc.etc. But I really think it would be a successful figure. If fucking Otaku Internet memes can get figma, so can he-- He's that, but much more.

Has anyone had any luck finding these damn things? I can't seem to find a Walgreens that was able to get them and I pretty much called a majority of them in the city. So far I was only able to get White Link thanks to a manager who did an order for me. He said that they were only given three random figures, even though he ordered the box. His store had 0 in stock before so my guess is that Walgreens itself is rationing these figures.

I really do hope these things are timed exclusives.

If you ordered from their shop, I'm pretty sure they'll ship out whatever comes out on its own.

They did that with my Mega Man, who I ordered together with Kirby.
