So I just received a NECA Tyrael in the mail. I have had a suspicion that it could be a bootleg, though I am not sure.
The card in the packaging looked like it could have been printed on a cheap printer because the text was slightly fuzzy. Also, when I took the figure out, it smelled very strongly, which I have heard is a sign that a figure could be a bootleg.
What I am wondering is, has anyone else had these issues with theirs, or is there a good chance that this could be a bootleg?
FYI, it was ordered from Amazon.

Have you previously opened a clamshelled NECA figure? It usually does smell pretty strongly so it isn't too surprising if you've never smelled one before. As for the text it's been a while since I opened wave 1 so I couldn't tell you. And maybe wave 2 changed. There shouldn't be bootlegs though. At least not yet.

Alright, thanks. With that in mind, this might actually be the real deal then. I don't see any other noticeable flaws so I could just be freaking out for no reason.

I'd be very surprised if there were bootlegs of this figure out already. Weird smells are not uncommon with action figures.
He's a pretty neat figure, but his elbow articulation really could have been better. I'm trying to figure out a way to mod it to allow a little more movement, but fuck if that armor doesn't make it difficult.
