I was reading another thread and they were talking about how sad they were that /toy/ used to have so many giveaways but they stopped. So I figured I'd start doing them as a way to increase thread engagement and community togetherness.

Looks like Jakks wave 3 and 4 figures are finally starting to show up in my neck of the woods. Grabbed a 4" Peach and a 2.5" Skull Kid at Toys r Us, and then I saw Gravity Suit Samus and 8-bit Mario and Donkey Kong at Target.

So how does Nintendo General display their collections? By series, by scale, by toyline? Do you have statueshits and if so, do you display them with your figures or seperately?

I've got a Smash section, and then a spot for other figures that's just organized by scale, back to front. My non-Nintendo figs are in a separate spot.

I don't have any big statues, per se, but I have a few Gachapons and stuff.

I tend to only collect by scale, so that they look good when I display them together. The nendos are a bit off, though.

I also own amiibo but I display them together away from the articulated figures.

I went to a Nintendo booth they set up at the mall in Mississauga, they had a couple WiiU and 3DS demo machines to play games, assorted shirts, mostly Super Mario characters, and a couple Pokemon and Legend of Zelda designs IIRC, I kind of liked the 8-bit Super Mario Bros and Legend or Zelda Christmas sweatshirts. There were also some hats, posters, key chains and assorted plush toys. The plush were mostly Super Mario series and Pokemon characters.

Sorry, also going to hijack this for Yokai. My TRU got in the "medal moment" figures, blind bag medals, and the collector book pages today.
I bought Noko, and it seems like the figure was made too small? The medal doesn't fit correctly against the flat parts of its body like the promo photo. It's still cute and the paint apps are actually pretty good.

They got a small restock at Best Buy online during the summer in Canada.

I remember they had like 15-20 WFTs in June and it sold out in like 5 minutes.

Then there was a smaller restock of Rosalina and King Dedede in July and they sold out even faster.

I got lucky and managed to get King Dedede. I checked the Best Buy site like a day or 2 after and saw 1 available. I guess someone either cancelled or their payment didn't go through.
