See if there are any droids or machinery that could be modified and taken control of to further the labour. However the child that results from this will just be human, as the avatar body is biologically human (basically). The creation of parasite eggs like the ones that fell on earth is a kind of last ditch option to keep the species alive in event of a catastrophe. If an inhabitant knows it is about to die it can rapidly devolve itself and its host into about half a dozen eggs which are harder to destroy and hopefully can be brought somewhere safe.
