Eh, we've had exactly 2 codexes so far and there arguably equally as powerful, just in different ways. Until; we get some more codexes, namely non-marine dexes, than who places where is still in the air. It's not hard to balance marines against other marines. non-marines and marines is a different story

Most of the good anti-armour CSM stuff kinda doesnt fit their theme, mostly Chunky Ugly Daemonstuff therefore a no-go in my EC List, literally the only reason Im using lightly armoured Centurions for Oblits and Contemptors instead of (Sonic)Brutes, Working on a Blastmaster-Arm for it though. Predators and helbrutes just dont really scream EC

Mostly right, though I'd argue AL is better than WE. WE stratagem is meh, and the khorne stratagem encourages you to take max units, but the best melee units for WE are either deep strikers or foot sloggers, unless your willing to pay for a big old FW transport.
AL on the other hand is more versatile in terms of stratagems and CT, and not being tied to a chaos god makes them able to take advantage of all the mark-unique strats (so a slaneshi termi bomb, max zerker unit which infiltrates before the game and then gets to fight 3 times turn 1 backed up by a sorceror who casts and extra power are all possible in a AL list, which is not the case for WE)

The biggest downside for AL I've found is trying to figure out what to do with your troops choices, whereas WE have that all settled up front. If AL want to be able to infiltrate a meaningful assault force they need a lot of CP unless they don't care about being able to use it later in the game for Slaanesh double shooting or command rerolls, but that means taking really mediocre troops choices.

We're primarily shooty, and sometimes scarily good at it (Kastelans intensify) but we have some pretty neat melee units too. Infiltrators rip though hordes, Electropriests swarm and drag down big stuff with weight of Mortal Wounds, Dragoons don't dish damage but are cheap, fast and tough to play riot control and beat back hordes. Thing is that our real heavy melee doesn't really have any means to be fast, so they just stand around the big guns and gut anything that comes close and tries to fuck with them. Oh yeah, they definetly are. But I really wanted to run my Craftworld as a Pre-fall research facility, turned into a Craftworld at the last minute. They would than go into hiding during the events of the Horus Heresy, and now only being re-discovered by the Ynnari. They would have a larger population of Wraith Constructs and Bonesingers, but a lot less aspect warriors due to them focusing on science and not war, leaving them less susceptible to the influence of Khaine. They would also be even more arrogant than regular Eldar, looking down on their kin as barbarians. The Kabalites would represent them having access to more advanced weaponry, while the Scourges are also experimental troops.

The color scheme I am thinking of would be a cool, sterile white for the panels, with everything else black, and bright red for their optics.

Like, she said she once got a huge massive army from a GW that opened and shut down after their manager quit within a few weeks. She got the biggest GW case from e-bay for 10 squid. She said her house was broken into and all her models stolen. Said she had 'stage 5' cancer and chemo made her painting bad.

She seemed to know how to paint, she had an inceptor that was decently painted but at the same time struggled with concepts like brush care, literally ruining a starter brush right there by just blobbing on black primer on a model. She had some ancient paints before their name change though, so was clearly a veteran.

Such a strange person.

Used to use white undercoat and yriel, (at the time of giving you paint advice) but switched to the new method Duncan suggested in a video where he uses averland, hexos, cassadora shade, ushabti. The results are that my primaris are a bit darker toned, but god damn is it easier and looks pretty great IMO.

Pic related were the most recent I did. Highly recommend. Otherwise enjoy the relaxing use of kantor blue/be a huge heretic I would just wait for the inevitable release of EC as it's own thing with new kit to get into that territory
