Correct, the Arachi are actually on an island right next to the Wasteland Continent. It's why Floop "sunk their ships" in response to "boots on the ground".

The Northern Ghili Empire Is a little North and inland of Arkenshad. The Eastern Coast contains Arkenshad, while the Western Coast contains the Lands of Shadow.

Yes, this is correct. The Black Coast and the Lands of Shadow overlap. You see, before you get to the Western Sea, the Lands of Shadow has already begun. The Black Coast (i.e. the West Coast) is within the Lands of Shadow. If you sail across the Black Coast, you get to a new Western Continent, which is even more, Land of Shadow. This is where Andrea is from.

Yes, yes and yes. The Grassland continent wraps around the world. Here, the world could be said to be round. If you keep going far West in the Grassland Continent, you come to the edge of the continent. Here, the only bridge connecting the Grassland Continent to the ancient Dragon Kingdom are the Dragon Falls.

While still on the Grassland Continent, the Dragon Kingdom is only reachable by going up the falls. Trying to go around won't work, cause the entire Kingdom is on a continent very, very high up, and don't even try climbing the cliffs.

Anyway, keep going up the falls, and you've gone around the top of the world. You come on to a large, uncharted continent that, theoretically, you could sail to from the Eastern Coast.

Still, trying to sail to the Dragon Kingdom from the Eastern Coast (Arkenshad) would be nearly impossible. You could try to sail to Dragon Falls from the black Coast tho, that's not so crazy at all.

So, basically, picking the mystery box changes the CYOA.

If you pick it, then yes, it might be there, BUT, if you don't pick the box, then you might as well imagine the box doesn't exist. You act of choosing splits the universe. Don't ask me why or how just roll with it.

The world where you take the mystery box is, and always was, different from the one where you didn't. Basically, for the mystery box to exist, you must pick it. If you don't, it doesn't exist.

She came back like two weeks ago, dude. Also I've been occupying myself with a mixture of watching movies, catching up on my weebshit backlog, the lackluster Destiny 2 beta, and lots of CYOA work.

Just loading up one section of this CYOA (each section is its own .psd right now) almost immediately uses up 30gb of RAM and about 20GB of scratch disk space, even with the lowest cache tile size.

Honestly I have no idea what something of this calibre (heh) would look like on power armour, but I have it in there anyways.

Thinking I should lessen the calibres a bit, these are a bit big. By comparison the M1 Abrams uses a 105mm/120mm gun, so I imagine the kick behind something like this would probably knock back a humanoid, even in power armour.

This is the actually new stuff.
Another 12 abilities to cover the most common pulp hero skills and 12 'artifacts', mostly anachronistic tech from the for the 1920s and 30s from the 40s/50s for ease of exploration and dubious low powered magic artifacts to serve as signature items for the character.
Didn't add more extreme stuff to not take away too much from the main exploration theme, but will add more in the Occult expansion later. Will probably need to add a SciFi/Mad Science one as well so I can stick all the laser guns and shrink rays in it.

This concludes basic character creation and other than some additional flavor text and editing as I notice stuff, I'll move on to the expedition itself on page 3, though it might take a bit longer for it since I'm not happy with my original plans on how to structure it and will have to rework a few things.

Heh, If I increase the amount of artifacts granted by 'Inheritance' it can get stuck in a loop with 'Hermetic Text' and then I might as well say get whatever you want.

Which nobody is stopping you from doing anyway. I've always seen CYOA instructions as just a set of guidelines anyway to ensure a coherent power level, but if you have a specific idea go for it, I'm not stopping you. I'm deliberately keeping that level rather low, so as to not stray into Super Hero territory, though limits will rise as I add expansions for additional themes that imply higher power levels.

If you have ideas for additional artifacts I'll gladly add them in, though keep in mind that flashy magic and super science will be kept
separate for later.

I was thinking about it, but I feel that artifacts are something that can be used to add extra flavor on top of the standard stereotype so I wanted to keep the choice more free. A hunter might want a magic weapon instead of a big gun, a mad scientist might keep a brainwashed tiger as a guardian in his laboratory, etc...

I think it might be best to just raise the artifact limit to 2 and see where that goes.

Ok, so my plan is that i eliminate the rogue mutants with the AS Val from a sniping position, the rifle most likely having been dropped there days before in a secret location. If i have any trouble getting into the area from security of some kind i have the PSS on me at all times. I have the ability to teleport away from the sniping poistion or around security so i need not eliminate people needlessly, the camauflage will also help once i develop it due to exposure to the Ukranian air. All this will minimise witnesses without having to kill them. I plan to use telekensis in the same way as magneto to snatch weapons away from enemies, or if thats too difficult stopping the bolt from engaging. The regeneration is obviously for if i take damage, i specifically chose it to counteract the side effects.

After working there for about 8 months to a year, i would have gathered as much knowledge as i can about the mutations and as much training as i can from the MVD, and when they least expect it. I will find a mutant and offer to help them escape with me to the west. I can teleport and camauflage myself so theres almost no stopping me. I am in control. With the help of my companion i will be unstoppable. I will pick a mutant most likely that is young and needs help, like a little girl, but has telepathy or something to detect enemies near. The information will be traded for our safety in the west.

I see no reason not to offer to work for the CIA, but on the condition that i only work in South America, South Asia or the Middle east or Africa. Im not going anywhere near Russia and China where there are more mutants like me.

Yes. The goddesses retain all their powers and abilities within the God World and their section of the God World which occupied by their Pantheon. If you want to pull end of the world shit with Azathoth (Such as wiping out all existence) you gotta do that with them in the Lovecraftian section of the God World.

If you go to the Mortal World (Our World) with your goddess(es) they have half their powers and can't pull off end of the world shit or the Mortal World kicks them out and back into the God World. Mortal World is based off humanities collective view point of the world and won't let something harm it. Hence why there is a God World for deities of all mythologies with a section for them to all their powers in.

I should explain this further. There exists the Mortal World (Our world) then there exists the God World (Where deities fuck around.)

The God World is divided into several lands based on their Pantheon (Egyptian, Greek, Roman) and each Pantheon has a supreme being (Viracocha for Incan, Chaos for Greek, YHWH for Abrahamic, etc) who has supreme power in that Pantheon and makes final decision on important matters.

The deities usually keep the fuck away from other Pantheons lands unless they are acquaintances based on occupation or through shared worship (Which leads to stuff such as Athena vs. Minerva due to them being two different deities.) Then inside of each of the Pantheons lands are Domains which are public (Olympus) and shared by the deities for use. Then there is private Domains (Which are like homes/lands) like Fenslair (Owned by Frigg) or your private Comfort in the CYOA that can only be accessed by said deity/people invited there and where they act as a Supreme Being in it.
