I wish to bring some news of my update to Time of Troubles, as well as apologize to those few that are still waiting for it to come out. I won't be able to keep my promise to release the CYOA until the end of summer after all.
There's only a few days left until summer ends, and it's extremely unlikely that I will be able to finish it until the deadline. It's mostly done, but the stuff that remains is quite difficult (though the hardest part - provinces and units - is already done), and once September begins I won't be able to work on the CYOA at incredible hihg speed anymore because uni.

Just remove the top 2 levels of summons so people don't feel compelled to go for them. Given the option most people would choose to become slightly deranged demigods over say a comfy celestial hermit simply due to the fact you have the option to do so and nothing prevents you from scaling down your ambitions when want with the demigod path whereas in the hermit route you would be hard pressed to scale your ambition up. The fact that there are also enemies around that might fuck you up adds an incentive to be more powerful as well.

Gotta be honest, this quest is cool as hell, but I debated not taking it since it involves the Thu'um from Elder Scrolls, which I
could not be more disinterested in. But, once again, PIRATES.

I really love the aesthetic and atmosphere here. The writing is good, the imagery is good, the people are great. I just wish there was more of everything and that what we did have was less ephemeral and more specific. It kind of makes sense as an afterlife/dream adventure, I just generally crave very specific ideas concerning my capabilities.

As for your criticisms, I agree with some of what you said. I feel like the choices, especially in the powers section, are kinda limited. Also! Something you might have missed is that things like Andrea's mysterious power and other questions in the CYOA have indirect answers elsewhere in the CYOA. They're hard to find, and, much like the nature of this CYOA, a bit ethereal and open to interpretation, but they're there.
