'Sup /jc/ rate my Keikaku.

> Jumper - Fullbringer:
- Name - Overdrive
- Cloak-type Fullbring based on my pride in my body. It's a black trench-coat, its texture is unsettlingly close to leather made of human skin. It has a white, bone-like harness holding it to my torso.
- It has two powers, the first being that it uses my reiatsu to enhance my physical capabilities, this can be applied to anything I'd consider as part of my body, usually weapons, and thus enhances their physical and spiritual structures.
- The second ability is a passive one, it constantly absorbs free reiatsu from my surroundings and adds it to my own, further enhancing my physical capabilities. This does have a limit based how adapted my body is to the process and when it can't withstand the boost any further, the coat starts burning with a blue flame.
- This blue flame moves the boost to my Fullbring Powers, allowing me to further bring out the power of the souls in the region, to the point where the environment itself can be considered my weapon as everything that is present strikes out in their own way against my opponent(s).
- When this is activated, the Fullbring is on a time limit, the battle needs to won before the flames burn out and the Fullbring collapses, leaving me without any powers for the next 24 hours.

> Busujima Saeko - Shinigami (11th Division):
- A simple and elegant katana with an ebony hilt and sheathe, no handguard.
- Shikai - "Togisumasu, Hakuseishin!" / "Sharpen, Naked Soul!"
-- The blade seems to become more reflective and as it cuts through the air, it seems to disappear at times.
-- Enhances the cutting edge of the zanpakutou, along with the list of what it can cut. With enough focus and reiatsu, Hakuseishin is quite capable of cutting through whatever her wielder can percieve.
- Bankai - "Junsuiki" / "True Intent"
-- The zanpakutou transforms into a silver haguromo that wraps around her arms and seems to create a halo as it arcs up behind her head.
-- The cutting edge is transferred into her reiatsu along with its rules, and can further be passed on to everything that utilizes her reiatsu, such as her kidou. Her very touch can cut, as she walks she slices into the ground, at this point, she is a living sword.

> Nitta Io - Bount (with Yoshino):
- Name - Fudo-chan / Little Brush
- Her doll is a calligraphy brush, always inked and ready to write, its independent form is that of a pipe fox.
- To use her doll's power, she needs three things; a name, the image representing the owner of the name, and enough people for their memories to bring the being to life. Beings created this way are copies of the original Being they are based from, but their capabilities depend wholely on the memories of everyone in the area (city-wide).
- These manifested beings drain reiatsu from from everyone who has memories of them, so if they were powerful enough, one of these could end up exhausting an entire city, or worse, kill a number of weaker people due to their reiatsu-intensive existance.
- Eliminating them either involves destroying the image they manifested from or deliberate termination on Io's side.

> Tomoe Mami - Arrancar (Espada Number 08):
- Her mask's remnant is an elegant-looking neck corset with a yellow jewel set in it, her hollow hole is located just below her neck.
- Her weapon is a musket, it focuses and enhances her bala and cero abilities.
- Has a collection of egg-shaped jewelry she can summon at will, and each one of them can be attached to her primary weapon, allowing for different types of "ammunition" to be fired.
- She has incredible sensory capabilities, especially reiatsu.
- Resurreccion - "Invitar, Candeloro" / "Invite, Candeloro"
-- Plucks out the yellow jewel as she speaks the release phrase, upon which it explodes into a mass of white...stuff that covers the area around her, consuming everyone she wants and pushing out the rest until it grows and hardens into a huge white dome studded with precious gems. Within, it's a twisted world made of various memories of all kinds of locations.
-- A yellow flame burns on her head after it's completely engulfed by a featureless mask extending up from her neck corset. And she wears a lovely and elaborate formal gown.
-- She commands familiars present in this warped world, their number limited by the number of unique abilities she has recieved from some of the souls she consumed, these familiars are feminine humanoids, wearing a variety of clothing and wielding an equally varied range of weapons, each with their unique ability, these familiars relentlessly attack anyone within the world and either kill or, after weakening, the target(s) immensely let Mami's true form consume and add the Soul to her jewel collection.
-- The familiars can be ordered to leave the dome on a mission, though if they are destroyed outside the dome then the ability they have is permanently lost to Mami, unlike if they are destroyed within the dome, all that does is to put the jewel in stasis until she reseals her power and waits for a day for the jewel to be useable again.

> Tohsaka Rin - Quincy (Unheard Offshot Camp):
- A straight-forward Quincy who uses a solid bow and a jian. Both of these weapons have seven recesses in which gemstones of a particular cut can be inserted and used in battle.
- Spellcasting specialist with an intresting trick up her sleeve, uses gemstones to store and alter Quincy Spells according to their associations, such as a ruby adding the concept of fire to a spell stored within.
- Vollstandig - (I have no fucking idea how this shit works)

Fudo-chan's a cute little snek-kitsune that could, theoretically summon a dragon, among other things, no need for a dragon theme. Too obvious.

Starts out as a pretty generic physical booster but the last part where it can use the world itself as a weapon is really cool.

Not just saying that because the Fullbring I plan on getting in GHQ is basically the same but with slightly different rules, no sirree.

Saeko's Zanpakuto is simple and effective, but a swordswoman doesn't really need anything overly convoluted, now do they?

Fudo-chan is adorable.

Candeloro is basically just a witch's labyrinth and that amuses me.

As for Rin's stuff, Schrifts are given directly by Yhwach, but I don't remember if Vollstandig is independent of his power. I wouldn't worry too much about it if I were you.

Perks:

= Top Gun Conditioning
= Ballistic Stabilization

Items:
= Striker Artificer Tool Kit
= Compressed Space Weapons Bay

Companions
+ Raven - Cs: Noir - Curtiss-Wright CW-21 Demon (Fighter) - 2x General Purpose Machine Guns
+ Yamato - Cs: Dragon - Nakajima J1N Moonlight (Bomber) - GAU-8 Minigun and GPMG

+ Okuda - Cs: Kamikazi - Fokker G.I. (Fighter) - Katana
+ Lina - Cs: Switch - Hawker Tempest (Fighter) - GPMG and Anti-Tank Rifle

Quite the fun decade. Despite the Drawback I was able to make a ton of advancements in Striker technology by infusing Ring of Red tech to make for ultra-heavy weapons. Enough that I was eventually pulled off the front lines by military command and placed in a research position. Which was more boring, but more beneficial to the world.

Eventually released a new type of Striker Unit, called Striker Armor, based off some of the same tech the Warlock was, but without cramming alien tech into the mix. Basically it was a transformer. Hardly original, but useful enough that it turned the tide against the Neuroi.

Hero Champion Drone Forever. A nascent seed AI from Eclipse Phase stuck inside a drone body made from among other things metal alloy of purification and spiral energy, loaded to the optical sensors with military hardware, and uneditable moral code and subroutines. It's fun to send him out into grimderp worlds to watch what happens, once punched a horror from shadowrun back through to the other side and crusaded there until end of jump. Came back fine somehow so the spot is uncontested since no one feels like topping that.

So wait, for the SCP Foundation jump, how dangerous is 682?

It sounds like he's basically a more ramped-up version of Crawler from Worm, but I don't see how that's 600 points dangerous.

>>55008123
I designed the Fullbring as a laser-guided F-U to everyone who just rely on sheer power. Since the more reiatsu in the air, the more physically powerful I become. I love it.

Hit the nail on the head with what I had in mind with Saeko. Particularly since my plan for Bleach involves using the Nanban Mirror to go waaaay back in time before the "Turn Back the Pendulum" Arc. Hopefully Saeko would be a better 11th Division Captain and Ken-chan can her rather sullen VC.

Fudo-chan totes is.

And yup! The canon 8th Espada pisses me off, so I figured that Mami could do a better job before her inevitable betrayal of Los Noches.

I had a vague idea for Rin and her Vollstandig, but the whole Yhwach thing had me just through up my hands in disgust and just quit. So I figure that she was just going to be far more skilled and lethal in her set ups with her Quincy Spells and the such, heck, maybe even having her and Io team up for the Jump to cover each other's weaknesses and the such.

It was my second jump, after Hero BBS as a Magician. So I had no shortage of weird, esoteric, and powerful magic. I also decided to embrace the path of being a straight up trap. Which consequently has become the theme of my current chain, aside from having stupid levels of magic that is.

Went with the Strike Witch Quest so I wouldn't have copious amounts of senseless death on my head. At least they can do something against the Martians.

You really like hardtac?
>>
>>55008347
He's very weird, there's a lot of material on the wiki that points to him being different things. Like the very idea of a reptile taken from the world of ideas iirc, or I remember one being that he;s like a keystone to the universe, and if he dies so does the universe.

Shits weird, there is no canon to SCP, so fanwank respectively.

But in his termination attempt logs he does some crazy shit, like he was put in a scp that was basically a sandbox and allowed the researchers to completely fuck with physics and laws, and when they tried to kill him he was able to hold himself together through quantum bonds or some shit and was actually enjoying himself.

>SCP-682's face when.
I hope you invested in regeneration Perks.
>>
>>55008347
Normally it's not that big of a deal, it's only as immortal as it is because you can't kill anything that has a positive rating on the site, and people have a hard on for killing it. It's story basically amounts to having a lot of plot armor, which wouldn't matter in jump. The drawback though has you dealing with something that actually has all that plot armor, throw it into the sun and it will grow wings and somehow fly back, only now it's on fire, nuke it and it will come back stronger, immune to nukes, and can likely nuke you back. It also sometimes gets to gain the properties of whatever you try to use to kill it. Really it just means that you have an unkillable lizard that only gets stronger if you try to harm it, constantly after you.
>>
I need to make a weapon indestructible
What is a good import option that does that
>>
>>55008347
His main power is being really hard to kill and to adapt to things that hurt him, he is normally just a big lizard but anything you have that might actually kill him might make him adapt something really nasty.
>>
>>55008370
The drawback doesn't give him bs scaling or immunity to perks, so it isn't really that bad unless you go with the interpretation of 682 as an 10th dimensional entity or some weird universal constant that will cause reality to collapse if it dies.

SCP-682 is hideously dangerous. The first thing you have to understand is that it's a gigantic lizard monster with adaptive regeneration. The second thing is that it has an ungodly amount of plot armor, like Mary Sue indestructible subterranean bunker levels of protection.

However, the third and most important thing to understand is that SCP-682 never actually goes all out. It has a huge repertoire of dangerous supernatural abilities that it can use to warp reality and manipulate shit in a more standard SCP style. It's extraordinarily knowledgeable and skilled with both cognitohazardous languages/symbols and memetic kill agents, for example. But it hardly ever uses these abilities because they're redundant. It's invincible so it never bothers.
>>

Honestly? I'm rather surprised Yandere fans haven't flocked to the thing after grabbing some spell or ability to transform it into a humanoid form. It would probably make a pretty neat companion if you're into something that switches from desiring to murder all life everywhere to wanting to get in your pants at all the wrong moments.

Do not attempt this. This is a bad plan in all senses of the word.

It was talked about back when the jump was made, and by talked about I mean there were many threads where many people talked about it incessantly and I can't say which ones were the jumpmaker and which weren't because they were anon. Basically though it's that normally you can expect out of jump perks to be able to take care of the lizard, or at least it won't be something you have to deal with, but drawbacks overrule perks and the drawback sends it after you. There are plenty of things about the lizard on the SCP site though, normally you might just ignore them but the lizard has some complete bullshit that you could expect becoming relevant if it's actually after you.

Not the same anon, we still don't know what makes consciousness function. Continuity is a theory as good as any other. If you were slowly upgraded into a machine by perfectly integrating parts and removing others, would that mean that you are slowly being killed? If so, do you die a little each time a cell of your current self inside of your brain dies and it's replaced?
>>
>>55008823
Anon, that isn't how drawbacks work. Drawbacks only override perks if the two come into conflict. There is literally nothing in the drawback that says that he can adapt to your bullshit, especially if you have powers that literally make such a thing impossible. All the drawback actually says is that it's going after you.

>we still don't know what makes consciousness function
It's an emergent property of the signaling in your brain, which never ceases, even when you are asleep.

No, I don't think replacing body parts kills you UNLESS your consciousness is interrupted at any time. Anon is justified in his worry about uploading his mind, because if the download isn't destructive it's merely a clone, and if it IS destructive, then there are more ways to do that which kill you than ones that don't. The only way to get a destructive upload that doesn't cease consciousness is to have the brain running concurrently on the computer and on the meat, before slowly shutting the meat brain down. Since consciousness is running in full on both mediums, it's never ceased at any point, even when the first medium ceases to function.

In setting he's fairly dangerous, since as far as anyone knows nothing can put him down forever and exposing him to things that do incapacitate him have a non-zero chance of giving him temporary superpowers related to what it was.
Out of setting Jumpers can have permakill perks that override in-setting stuff.
I can only assume the drawback would trump your permakill abilities, since that's the only thing that would actually make him dangerous.
Doesn't mean he can kill you if you keep your distance or are super durable.

Aizen becomes, analogically speaking, a 4D entity in a world of 3D ones and his Reiatsu transcends that of lesser souls like Shinigamis and Hollows
>>
>>55009369
You know how in Dragonball, normal Ki users can't sense God Ki no matter how powerful they are? That's basically what it is.

You can also apparently temporarily do it by being really fucking powerful and fusing with your sword. Or that's what Ichigo did, I think. Note: don't do that, you'll lose your powers and have to go through some angsty bullshit arc to get them back.
>>
>>55009281
>like the Bloodstained Athame from Charmed
Wouldn't work because it only applies to magical Powers.
>>
>>55009369
So you know how the magic plot rock manifests people's desires, which once Aizen implanted it into himself mainly showed up as powerups? Well once he reached his limit as a Shinigami it turned him into a true hybrid between Hollow and Soul Reaper. This makes him really fucking strong, and makes it impossible for lesser entities to comprehend his reiatsu- in the same way that a 2D entity could not comprehend a 3D entity's presence.

Incidentally it also makes him look like a butterfly.

Now that I think of it Reborn saying going Hollow in GHQ and Shinigami in Bleach would make you a true hybrid instead of a mere Visored or Arrancar would probably make you whatever Aizen turned into, no plot rock required.
>>

Would work because it was ruled to by the jumpmaker and most people/settings don't place arbitrary distinctions on magic and other supernatural phenomena.
>>
I finally realized what my problem with a lot of jumps are, its the fact that I have to spend 10 years in them. For some settings the plot only lasts for a week up to like two years but I have to spend 10 years there so I'm always like what am I supposed to do for the rest of my time there?
>>
>>55009595
Enjoy your happily ever after for a few years before the next adventure?
>>
>>55009565
Link to the ruling? Last time I read the jump, and the last time the jumpmaker talked about it, it applied only to magical Powers.
>>
>>55009595
That's the point. Without the long time gaps, there would be no downsides to just taking every single jump, especially the standalone movie jumps.
>>
>>55009558
More power, I guess. Also, your reiatsu might become invisible even to beings like Aizen, considering how Ichigo using the Final Getsuga Tensho made him undetectable to Aizen.

Also you'd become a valid successor to the Soul King. Which, depending on whether the new Light Novels are canon or not to the jump, could be really bad for you.
>>
>>55009595
I take those perks that let me find weird shit. Neopets has a good one for Adventurers, and another in Swords and Sorcery. I have a few more, but basically I just explore and document mysteries hidden in those worlds.
>>
>>55009595
Well, you could always wank it that your Benefactor pulls you out when things get too boring. Which is something similar to what I'm doing in my current Main Chain. Or you could just pick up a hobby and enjoy the break. Sometimes it's nice that something isn't always trying to kill you every day. Or that there isn't a giant plot to foil each week.

Of course, you could just stretch things out. Some stories it makes sense to put a few days or weeks or even months between major events. So when you add all that up you can be in a world for a surprisingly long period of time to wrap up what seems like a shorter story.
>>
>>55009595

Things don't stay fixed forever, at least if you don't bother altering the entire setting on a fundamental level. Armies and factions have remnants. There's always things to rebuild and reconstruct. The re-shaping of nations, borders, or the protagonists trying to adjust to life again.

While the plot may end, lives go on and eventually end (again, unless you change that somehow). New villains might rise and fall, old heroes might fall or retire, etc.

Things are almost never as clear-cut as the author puts it, small details tucked away to keep things simple. Interact with those details, or investigate them. There's plenty to do, though it may take a very specific set of circumstances for a real foe for a Jumper to surface.

Alternatively, vacation and do some training in anticipation of the next jump.

Go on another adventure. Go on a tour of exotic locales. Learn about new cultures and what foods/technology/magic they bring. Connect with strangers and make new friends. Inspire others or pull them back on their feet. Explore hobbies or other things you had to put on hold during events. Rebuild from the rubble of the plot. Leave a string of bastards and broken hearts a world wide. Spend time with companions and friends, or convincing them to become them. Work on relationships so that they stay with you, and want to stay with you even more than you. Lift the place up by the boot straps. What are you trying to do that needs dimensional-scale, are you trying to change the rate of time flow between two parallel worlds or something like that?

For GT maybe a perk based on Vegeta getting SS4 so quickly/easily after learning it was possible. A perk that lets you quickly learn new techniques once they've been discovered, circumventing the normal requirements in some way. Hell it kind of works with most of Vegeta's Super Saiyan transformations. He gets through training what others only developed through extreme pressure.

An OC companion called Toddler. The text should go out of its way to specify that they are not a baby, but also not yet a boy/girl. Free cookies to whoever gets that one. They should also be under the delusion that they created the Jumper (mirrorring how Doctor Myuu thought he created Baby, when it was really the opposite), and that Jumper should obey them, and that they totally don't like Jumper at all and merely want them for the power Jumper can grant to their companions. If you're just going by story, then the time patroller is just fighting increasingly powerful opponents up the ladder of plot and getting inexplicably stronger for it.
If you're going by "what actually happens when you play the game", then they're probably grinding off a shitload of parallel worlds and timelines to get stronger by getting into battles over and over and over and over and over again, which often involves just straight up joining the villain's side so that you can fight Goku and his friends all for the purposes of getting stronger.

I like to go with "what actually happens in the game" because it just puts this extra reflection of dumbness across the rest of the plot.

The rest don't necessarily revel in it, but wouldn't be bothered by accidentally blowing up orphanages, either.

No they don't, they just about always have a time skip after being shown to reincarnate, where that time skip ends varies and they may still be a child at that point but they almost never tell the story of an infant.

You would need to have options that let you do stuff as an infant in the jump for that to work, I really don't see any.

Except for that time it killed by shitty moving statues. Not to mention the only reason it can't be killed is because of it's rating on the site. By that logic, if you go in as an scp and have positive rating, you can't be killed either.

I don't believe any of the Marvel jumps have continuity options to connect each other, besides MCU Vol. 1 and 2. I... think? Marvel Magic just lets you choose when and where you arrive, so it can cover a whole lot of shit, while vanilla Marvel has a roll table for a bunch of different eras.

Anyway, define "best". From one point of view, Marvel Magic should always be first due to providing the highest amount of power at low cost, while from another doing vanilla Marvel first is best as it has that old-timey /jc/ assurance that things like Time Runs Out or Infinity Gauntlet won't kill you and allows a gradual power curve due to being intended to cover street-level.

Could I theoretically upgrade my own "essence" or whatever and eventually achieve apotheosis into godhood? Seems like something an Isekai protagonist would do.

>By that logic, if you go in as an scp and have positive rating, you can't be killed either.
Seeing as you can get a power that gives you neigh beatable regeneration, and that SCP has no hard canon, sure that's a perfectly valid scenario to write for your jump.
>>
>>55011932
Yes but the jumper still has to live through that time, which sucks. It also means you leave the setting at around the time when you might expect an Isekai that starts at childhood would end the initial time skip!

It is a rather nasty mandatory drawback for the origin.
>>
>>55011966
Wait, what's happening with Illidan now?
>>
>>55011473
Okay first of all with the new addition of "and cannot impart knowledge or proficiency directly" limit Upgrade as it was before would have been pretty well in line with the other Cheats, however with the addition of the "Physical qualities" limit I think that it's scope is too narrow. Also, The System mentions Class and Race in buying skills so I would like for a little note or something to explain how that works because Class is only mentioned there and in Sentient Items. Also also I'd like to be able to switch my classes around like I'm playing Final Fantasy Tactics, or any of the Final Fantasy's that uses the Job System, is this viable?
>>
>>55011932
I just don't want to go through the shitting my diaper and remembering feeding from a woman who is now ostensibly my mother. Remember this is a background, things can have happened to you before you took the driver's seat. Just a small 'if you choose you may start as either a toddler or very young child instead of a baby.' would be great.
>>
>>55011966
The closest thing I can think of is Challenge Rating 20 from The Gods Are Bastards.
Challenge Rating 20 (400):
You’re a twenty on the Gygax scale. Which, long story short, means that legally speaking you’re
not a person. Now, normally, that would probably be a bad thing. In this case though, it means
that the government has decided that you’re so damn powerful that they just don’t want to admit
that an entire government’s bending over for you. Which means that legally speaking, whatever
you do is classified an act of nature, not an act of a thinking being. People won’t arrest you any
more than they’d arrest a hurricane or a typhoon, and if you heal someone, it’ll be classified as a
miracle, not you stepping in. Of course, if you aren’t actually that powerful, this, uh, might be
somewhat problematic. Note: This effect will only last as long as you’re not actively at war with
them. Occasionally fucking up and killing someone unimportant is fine, going on a killing spree
or assassinating the prince is not. You may deactivate or reactivate this as you wish.
>>
>>55011978

>Speed, beauty, senses and intelligence are all fine.

Yeah, this doesn't really come across in the perk description.Removing the "physical" bit (maybe replace with "inherent", or "already existing, inherent") and it'd work as intended, without allowing it to improve skills and such.
>>
>>55011987
Also, before you did say that Upgrade was about the same as System in terms of self improvement. Now System is way better. Was that intentional?
>>
>>55011932
But unlike characters, a jumper doesn't have an author making sure they survive to be the hero. Infant mortality rates in medieval times weren't optimistic. I think that by default someone taking this background without perks from another jump is highly likely to die with no way to stop it, unless they take The Grind, which is a different background's capstone, to fiat enforce that they have adult stats as an infant.

I dunno, in a lot of ways, intelligence is just your brain setup and how easy it is for you to process and retain information. Reflexes are your instinctual physical response system, beauty is just an aesthetic look... I would think if you could upgrade only "physical" things, it'd still be easy to kludge together all manner of improvements. The main caveat is just that you can't give yourself knowledge.

I'm more concerned about truly unphysical things, such as soul or magical energy. Things that don't encompass knowledge, but are usually considered separate from the "body".
Are those upgradeable?

Anyway,
>>55011987
I think it could do with a rewording, because "physical" has a few connotations. Maybe if you just leave it with the "cannot impart knowledge or proficiency directly" part, it'd work on its own?

Does the mana cost for the mystic eyes scale with the scope of the spell being increased? >>55011986
A species of magical foxes that grows multiple tails, has human intelligence, and is naturally skilled with illusion and fire magic would qualify as a mystic beast. A normal fox would not.

Depends on whether the setting you're in has essence, apotheosis, and gods. Fanwank responsibly.

>>55012007
>>55012032
Yeah, gonna have to reword it. I will attempt to capture the spirit of the cheat more effectively. Rest assured, I agree with your concerns.

>>55012011
Then don't choose that background. The things you describe are part and parcel of being reincarnated into another world. If you want, you can always fanwank yourself a humanoid race that only spends a couple months in infancy before reaching adulthood. Or choose to be a monster. I trust in your imagination. You can figure something out.

>>55012044
Sorry, but if you're arguing for simulationism then we have a fundamental difference in perspective. Jumpchain is an escapist fantasy game, not Farming Simulator.

>>55012085
You're basically just modifying the spell's structure to be self-sustaining. The cost does scale, but it's never more than a fraction of the original cost of the spell. And you get better with practice.

Would probably get even more attention, honestly. A being with that much power popping out of nowhere is going to turn some heads.

>if you're on Earth you're going to be wrapped up on crazy shenanigans.
Yeah, but it's a difference of scale. Spider-Man's usual enemies are rogues and purse snatchers. Thor's enemies are Celestials and madmen wielding the Black Blade That Carved Dawn From The Stone Of Endless Night.
>>
>>55012125
>Read the actual drawback section.
That doesn't help, at all. You still have to live through infancy and extending the jump to a full century may not be what people want. A Fragile Life is even less helpful.

Just the living through infancy part is a significant mandatory drawback.

I can best describe it as dungeon keeper ami mixed with a generic rpc fantasy world. Main differences is that there was no ami and dungeons were created first by copying the powers of natural dungeon cores before being perverted and corrupted by the dark gods for their own uses. Plus side is the magic is basically no different from normal rpg fantasy worlds with the addition of some DKA stuff tacked on like the golems and keeper possession. Being one of the few remaining natural dungeons left in such a world is not an easy thing since keepers have largely given every one of us a bad name.

That and th light gods not being incompetent with their creation of light side dungeon hearts, but they still dont use them due to gold costs and such.
>>
>>55012138
Yes, it seemed about right for the kind of worlds I can see jumper taking part in.
>>
>>55012125
>The things you describe are part and parcel of being reincarnated into another world.
It is not, many of them just get tossed into a new world in a younger body. Usually still a teenager or young adult. This is way more common than even starting as a baby with time skips actually.

Could I upgrade myself from baby to toddler, toddler to child etc?

I thought Upgrade could do things like turn a priest into a saint, or a saint into a demigod or Angel or something. Or an animal into an elemental animal, such as turning a wolf into a fire wolf. Can it do that sort of thing?
>>
>>55012162
If that makes sense to you, it makes sense to me.

Anyways, how does this sound for Upgrade? Tried to refine the idea a bit:

>2. Upgrade (Monster): By focusing on a target, you can determine its attributes, skills, and general status. By spending some of your own mana, you can enhance these things. The price grows for targets of a higher level than you, and you can specify specific things to upgrade, ranging from specific attributes all the way to species. Your upgrades cannot impart knowledge or proficiency directly, but can improve anything else. This ability can be used target almost anything, from swords to party members, as well as yourself.
>>
>>55012011
A lot of reborn isekai start as babies, usually they know everything and start training really young, and yes they go through the shitting themselves stage.

>>55012252
Seems good to me. Basically it lets you boost a physical thing permanently it just doesnt make you good at stuff automatically?
>>

Since this is a generic jump I assume we can wank the details of how things work?

For example for upgrade have it work in generally 3 ways.
First is to just dump mana into a thing to make it generally better, this is the slowest since it is spread across the entirety of the target and all it's attributes.

Second is the most efficient way and upgrades a broad but specific aspect of a target. Such as it's species or a certain power it has. Most of the time it will just a faster version of the first as it is spread out less but after dumping enough mana it will make the target evolve it into an entirely better version. Such as Goblin to better goblin to Hobgoblin to better hobgoblin to Ogre to better ogre etc. Some things are so simple that this and the first are the same thing.

Third is both the fastest as least efficient is to dump mana into a very specific aspect of the target, such as a single physical attribute. It will increase that attribute the most of any of these methods for that amount of mana but over all you get less out of it than if you put it into something more broad.

It bothers me that Locations start at the bottom on the page and there are no spaces between any of them (This is a recurring theme throughout your Jump that really should be fixed). It could look a little neater if you put in a page break or two and spaces. But you did a good job of fluffing out the Locations for those who aren't familiar with the world.

>Mana Pool
>As you continue to train...
Suggested Fix.
>As you continue to train and use your abilities, you will eventually be able to laugh off attacks that would have ripped you to pieces before. With exhausting effort you will even be able to cast Omega level spells, the most powerful magic found in this world.

>Regardless of your origin, you also have learned two techniques usually taught *to* initiates...

Seeing the number of grammatical and spelling errors still left in I might suggest putting the Jump in a Google Doc and opening it up for people to suggest edits. Because holy crap is the formatting bugging me something fierce.

That said, this is a very solid Jump. It's well put together, the Perks are appropriate for the setting, and balanced against each other within reason. BUT FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING HOLY FORMATTING IS IMPORTANT!

Elements of Dragon Quest, Dungeon Keeper, Log Horizon and some of the less creepy elements from Re:Monster.

Places of dark magic create the basic monsters such as kobolds, and goblins and a few others, that evolve over time into stronger monster types. Sexual dimorphism is present but essentially monsters don't go though sexual maturity until they become rather high level.

Dark Magic is a corruption that basically flows and ebbs like a magical river system. Some areas become so polluted they give birth to Dungeon Hearts who are somewhat of a double edged sword to the local community. They tend to stop random spawning and often are not interested in raiding so they make the local area safer. But when a Dungeon Heart does seek out something in the surface world these can organized dark armies that can cause great havoc.

Magical Beasts are animals that have evolved magical attributes and powers. They reproduce and breed like normal. But the line can blur between the two of them. Generally if its a non-human animal like form its a magical beast, if its humanoid its a monster.

Ughh… So it turns out no matter how many powers or abilities you have one person can make your life a living hell. In this case my special friend was Ayako Maki a former friend from grade school. Apparently I had done a couple things in the past that she decided were unforgivable and being the morally upstanding person she was she was going to make sure everyone else knew I was a terrible person.

She was everything you would expect of a rival, smart beautiful, talented, she even outscored me on the entrance exams since I was trying to get by with just my perk and my strength. Of course she still thought I had cheated somehow to get in.

She made fast friends with Midorya and quickly became part of is click which left me and my companions and Bakugo as the outcast, delinquents of the group.

I scored perfect grades but even the teachers thought I was cheating as I was doing too well. Then Eraserhead gave me a surprise private exam that was at a collage level difficulty and I passed. He finally accepted I was just that smart.

I won the sports festival but no companies would touch me. Something about me seeming like bad news. While Ayako got many prestigious offers despite finishing lower. I wound up missing the Hero killer incident (Midorya didn’t text me).

High school continued like this, with me constantly having to prove I wasn’t cheating and having to prove myself in general just to stay. I helped fight several villains practically winning on my own but the credit was always given to someone else; Usually Ayako who I was constantly teamed up with. She said she was keeping an eye on me because she didn’t trust me.

>Alright, I think this qualifies as version 1.2
Alright! Lets take a look.
>Your upgrades only affect physical qualities, and cannot impart knowledge or proficiency directly
I have a question about how this works with Skills-with-a-capital-S (As a special in setting mechanic) as opposed to skills-in-lowercase.

I'm talking about like in Death Note, with cooking as an example. A 'Skill' is not something everyone has, and is not needed to do something. You can cook without a cooking skill (and it is as hard as in real life, but Michelin Starred Chefs do it with having a Skill), or even learn and cast magic without that spells relevant Magic Skill.

A 'Skill' is something gained from a skill orb or skill points gained if you have leveled up, and seems to be an aftermarket feature added by the gods. If you DON'T have the Sword Skill, you have to learn the hard way, but could actually be better then someone with an official Sword Skill of 4 (out of 10). Having a Skill means you have a minimum level of effectiveness, that seems to be talent or unconscious assistance. If you had a Cooking Skill, you might have hunches about things to do or not do helping you along.

My question, is if you or someone already had one of those Skills, would Upgrade let you upgrade its level?
>>
>>55011473
What's System based off of? Also, does it only grant experience points if you kill or can you get some for just beating people?

Can we only make one roll a day? Or on that once a day period can we make multiple rolls? Like spending 10,000 DP each on ten Gacha Rolls instead of one 100,000 DP Gacha, to use a relevant example from Lazy Dungeon Master.
>>
>>55013160
Based on the revisions we made in thread (seen >>55012252 ) Upgrade... might work on the Skills you describe? If you think of them as a magic effect cast on you by the gods, instead of an abstract representation of your actual skill level. I guess.

Upgrade's limitation is only on actually learning things or transfering information directly. So it couldn't actually make you a better cook, but if you had a magic item equipped that enhanced your cooking... intuition? then Upgrade could target that and make its enchantment better.

>>55013169
I chiefly copied it form Kumo Desu Ga. Due to that, it only works when you kill things. Destroying constructs like golems would also probably count, with the obvious exceptions for if you control said golems.

I would say it always costs the same amount of experience, and you gain experience relative to the level gap between you and what you kill. The attribute boosts depend on your current class and species. Leveling up should always provide at least some noticeable improvements though.

Someone suggested using a special currency for rolls that you could earn over time (enough for a roll per day) or through fulfilling tasks given to you by the gacha. You decided to just give one roll per day that you couldn't save up and when you changed it back you kept the once per day thing for no reason.

How about you just get rid of that part, also the only in territory you control part. They make no sense and rolling the gacha in the middle of combat in desperate hope that you get something good is a staple of the Isekai stories that use it.

Well, in the story someone went through a Respec to reallocate their skill points. And among other stuff, switched from their prior Magic Skill (Fire maybe, I cannot remember) to Dimensional Magic. It did not seem to effect their memories, just how easy or hard each type of magic was to cast.

>>55013310
>Yeah, that's a good compromise. You can open the menu once per day, but once it opens you can roll as much as you can afford.
I'm assuming the once a day limit is to avoid spamming it several times a day and them regenerating the mana and doing it again, since the Cheat Gacha can use MP instead of Real money or Dungeon Resources that are harder to recover?

Also, you might mention the Cave of Beginnings gets the Dungeon Treatment after the jump ends. And mention that if at develops a Dungeon Heart you can import it as a companion in later jumps if you wish, but it doesn't count against the companion limit inside its Dungeon.

Does the Dungeon ONLY gain power from Death and Pain, or can it draw off the Lifeforce of those inside it and/or Ley Lines/Earth Roots also like in Lazy Dungeon Master
>>
>>55013535

>>55013547

>>55010938
Clones I'm leaning towards your clones having roughly the same physical stats as you (at least if you're making clones that are the same size as you), and the upgrade allowing you to store more ectoplasm to mold them. I don't think they have any additional powers since they're not traditional clones as much as copies made from ectoplasm you spew out.

Double, all clones that I've ever seen have been fully sapient and have all the same abilities and personalities as who they were copied from. The flaw is their physical integrity, they're a lot less durable than the original.
>>
>>55013602
Well, there is a level of "mundane" stats where shit becomes a superpower. Super-speed and healing factors are some of the most obvious.
>>
>>55013521
Depends on the story. Sometimes classes/jobs are explicit parts of the the system, and changing jobs requires visiting a special facility or something. Sometimes it's just a way of describing what your specialty is.

>>55013504
Alright. Realtalk. I was mostly trying to come up with ways of making Gacha superficially similar to the one in LDM. But obviously that is falling apart over time, and was a bad idea from the start. I will work on making the Gacha more general-purpose.

>>55013567
>Well, in the story someone went through a Respec to reallocate their skill points. And among other stuff, switched from their prior Magic Skill (Fire maybe, I cannot remember) to Dimensional Magic. It did not seem to effect their memories, just how easy or hard each type of magic was to cast.

Ah, for Death March specifically, I would say most skills are probably fair game.

>I'm assuming the once a day limit is to avoid spamming it several times a day and them regenerating the mana and doing it again, since the Cheat Gacha can use MP instead of Real money or Dungeon Resources that are harder to recover?

That was the original idea. Currently reconsidering.

>Does the Dungeon ONLY gain power from Death and Pain, or can it draw off the Lifeforce of those inside it and/or Ley Lines/Earth Roots also like in Lazy Dungeon Master

I might generalize it a bit more. Not necessarily lifeforce. But not limited to just actual death and pain.

>>55013602
At the very least, you should be able to improve someone's healing abilities.
>>
So I just had an interesting idea. Historical Accuracy from the Xena/Hercules jump changes the aesthetics of a jump to be historically accurate to our world if it takes place on Earth. It won't change the plot or character details, but it will make things look like they're supposed to. So what do you think would happen if I used a perk like Toggle from Young Justice to turn it off before entering a jump then turn it back on after the setting has already been established? Do you think people would notice the change? Because there's a certain appeal to going to a world where historical figures are in the modern day as anime prettyboys (like Fate, obviously, but many other settings would apply) and screwing with their body image midway through their dramatic speeches.

Having never played and knowing very little besides checking out a few streams on Twitch, the one that's the two aspects of death. Can't remember the name, the actual character is like a sheep lady, and she had violent dog head that she can send out to bite stuff.

Man, this question hits home really hard. I don't even play League, but my Jumper is headed there next and picking up a Companion for the ride as well. But I'm torn.

I really like Kindred for her story, attitude, and style. But if I'm honestly, New!Jumper would probably be attracted more to someone like Poppy after the mess in Shadowrun. He could really use another hero on the team. Then again, Kindred kind of has a link due to the smell of death clinging to him HARD right now. So it could go either way.

AUGH! Story decisions are hard!!!

How much mana?
>>
>>55013760
>>55013504
Okay, how about this for Gacha?

>7. Gacha (Dungeon Heart): You can open a menu which allows you to spend mana in order to spin a variety of different Gachas. The different Gachas each have a set price based on the average value of the outcome, and offer different possible rewards, which may be monsters or items from any world you have visited. While the cheapest Gacha many only offer common drops, more expensive Gachas could include a chance to drop rare, unique items or monsters. Gachas which can target past worlds are more expensive than those that don’t, but not unreasonably so, and even some of the cheaper Gacha may offer a small chance of dropping something rare.

That seems decent enough, you should remember to put in what you can spend to roll or note that you can choose what you spend if you are leaving that up to jumper.

Honestly though I would just make it run off one gacha that costs mana, cash, or insert BS gacha currency here. Rolling multiple times at once gives at least one of X quality, X gets better the more you roll at once. Stuff from your current jump have a much higher chance of dropping.

In most settings with this mechanic you have to save up enough mana for the upgrade, and it is usually a lot, like one dungeon story the mc has to save up 100,000 points of mana for an upgrade, but his normal mana income is like 100 mana a day with a cap of 20k. He ends up making batteries to store mana in but the cost of becoming syronger becomes pretty prohibitive fast and he ends up focusing more on his tinkering while he builds mana.

Honestly kinda salty that this is just being welcomed with open arms. It's free, and you can buy Empty Frame for 200CP to get absurd amounts of mana with no limits. There's nothing stopping you from just spending 200CP and a few days from upgrading your mana capacity and recovery rates by dumping everything into Upgrade and then having such absurd amounts of seemingly never ending mana that you can just buff everything you have, even stuff that shouldn't have the capacity to grow, over and over again. Again, just 200CP in a Generic Jump and effortless once you get into the Jump.

Yeah, that's a big thing. I don't like the concept of the Jump itself, but ignoring my own biases, why do you get to be sextuple super special than the already extremely super special snowflake protagonists of most Isekai with just your natural budget? You get a cheat for free, an absurdly powerful ability, free. You get it for free, and can buy additional cheats for 200CP. This is fucking absurd.

>>55014323
>>55014348

You can have six cheat abilities for no downsides if I'm understanding this Jump correctly and the normal Isekai protagonists only have 1. That's not balanced with the source material at all.
>>
>>55014348
I for one, agree with the idea that you can get too many for too cheap. You get one for free and each extra only costs like 200CP. Why bother with anything else? How long since someone mentioned any of the actual perks in this jump?

Honestly I think the reason they are so cheap is that he couldn't commit to going full cheat and priced them cheaper to compensate. Now they are rapidly approaching full Isekai bullshit he might as well bring them up the last bit they need to get there and make it properly expensive to get more than one.

>>55014384
>How long since someone mentioned any of the actual perks in this jump?
That is at least in part due to the fact that the perks are a bit underwhelming relative to the subject matter. In a jump based on the Cheat Ability Genre the cheat abilities are going to be the big draw but shouldn't the perks also be made good enough to compete?

>>
>>55013000

I'd meant to ask about that. Both because whether something is a improvement of not varies based on the situation (That making Orachilium more malleable to shape it example. Once it is shaped, the malleability is a bad thing)

Also if their are stuff like pokemons branching evolution's, and the race you want to give them is on a different path.

I assumed reversed polarity upgrades was a trick you could do with Cheat.

Also
>You have 1000cp to spend before your time begins
Since this is an Isekei Jump, with a literal cheat section, calling the CP Cheat Point would not be out of line...

>>55014541
To be frank, I'm still not seeing 'without a bit of complaining'. All of those have gotten complaining and FR is pretty well known for how poor quality and rushed it was. More than a few times recently, with the Naruto updates, people criticised the changes.

But even then, a lot of what is there is still present. I don't know anything about World of Warcraft but I do know that there are characters in Naruto with many bloodlines. I know that there are monsters in DnD with very high levels of power. I know that these are fairly well known things. I also know that most Isekai do not feature protagonists that get 5- 6 cheat abilities, each extremely powerful, from the get go. Usually it's 1 that they use to expand everything. Not 6 ways to expand.

Something that generally helps other jumps that deviate from canon is that they're priced to match. This isn't. People have pointed out how bad the perks are in comparison to the cheats, despite the cheats being cheaper then the best perks. It's getting shit not just because it's deviating, but because it's unbalanced internally and makes the rest of the jump feel like a add on.
>>
>>55014574

>>
>>55014569

>>55014567

Like they are now.

In the context of the price they had, dickhead. They were cheap because they had a low level of ability on offer. They usually had lots of limits too. Now they don't.

Beyond the fact that Isekai is so variable so you're talking out of your ass if you think there's any solid power level, things can be judged as being reasonable and limited within the context of the jump that they are in, which these are not.

I kind of agree with the price increase? Like, the cheats were way better than other stuff at similar price points. My understanding is also that the protags normally just have one ability that they abuse to become crazy powerful, and a lot of these abilities looks like they can improve recursively, so power doesn't seem like an issue.

I support this change, for what one anon's vote is worth.

The spoiler.
No. Just... no.
That wasn't an issue that was really being raised except by shitposters echoing chambering each other because replying to the jump would get them shot down.

This.. is why dread even posting builds here.

Makes bags of holding, expand rooms in your castle to fit more loot, make your dungeon into an M.C. Escher dimension of folded and twisted space. Punch people from across the room. Be Vista but lethal. Drop grenades on people from long distances. Be a damn good thief. Expand the space you're in so big that while you walk in it everything else seems giant and pretend to be ant-man. Play 'stop hitting yourself' without touching the other person using warped space and portals. Think with portals.

I'd like to describe myself as a Spring Green Horpression.

Full yellow. I am not ashamed.

>The only thing worse than an SBer is two SBers
So, three SBers aren't worse than one or two SBers?
>>

>Horpression.
Uhhhh you wanna rephrase that?
>>
>>55014847
That's the joke, yes.

>>55014836
That's a horrible chart.
>>
>>55014779
It's neat for telefragging things.
If I were an Isekai protagonist, I'd probably be using it to do something like open a portal to a volcano for my hot water system, or connect magical geomantic nodes that are scattered across great distances into one convenient super node.

>>55014879
The cheats were way better than the 200 CP perks, it wasn't balanced internally.
>>
>>55014836
Halfway between the H and H/M sections.
>>
>>55014905
I also have Deprorny, Horssion, Hornion and Derny but I thought those all sounded dumb.
>>
>>55014668
>I thought they had a fair point, which is why cheats still only cost 400cp.
At least make your Racial and Background choices discounted, and raise the drawback cap please.
>>
>>55014878
>Beings stronger than you will find I easier to resist your attempts to warp space around them, however.
...That seems like a really weird restriction. Like, if I put a football field's worth of space between me and a stronger enemy, would they just... get to ignore all that space for some reason?
>>
>>55014879
This post seems to assume that jumpmakers aren't capable of reading and evaluating arguments on their own merits. People wanting something you don't want doesn't make them shitposters. Nor does discussing ideas with each other.

I'm sorry if you don't like the change, but I think it was for the better. It makes the jump more balanced and encourages more build variety.

You can do a lot of hentai-type things with your waifu. Pic maybe related.

Those people were probably shitposters, but that doesn't mean they weren't right. Same with the people arguing for a DA update. Even shitposters should be listened to sometimes.

I suppose if you have some way of visiting and surviving deadly places but lack much offensive firepower, you could open temporary portals directed at enemies. That kind of thing reminds me of the old "Dimension of Punch" tg story, or that Goblin Slayer manga where he had a portal scroll to the bottom of the ocean and bifurcated an ogre monster guy with a pressurized water spray.
>>
>>55014879
The idea that you think your personal decision to post builds in thread matters to literally anyone is fucking hilarious.
>>
>>55014943
It is probably meant more for active warping instead of bringing them into places you already warped.
>>
>>55014975
Upgrade remains the best hentai skill, since you can just directly upgrade anything that relates to your fetish.

Maybe one of the Skill cheats if you have a way to find people with the required techniques.

He's deaf in one ear and his biggest concern is that he won't be able to get the most out of surround sound.
He must be a Jumper.
>>
>>55014943
That's probably the case, and also, it might be to prevent you from creating a portal through someones neck to behead them, or crushing/stretching space around them to crush/tear till they're dead.

>>
>>55015042
That's really fucking weird, then. If I make a hallway longer, then it's objectively longer. This seems like one of those things that'd just be better to learn in-setting, because magic that actually warps space won't have such restrictions.

If I warp a football field's worth of space between us, it's warped.

If I try to turn the space around the stronger person into a pretzel with them in it, then they can resist.

I legit cannot tell anymore if you mean this without a hint of irony
>>
>>55015086
Maybe, maybe not. I'm inclined to believe that Cheats let you break innate rules of the setting you get thrust into. It could be that by default none of the magic systems you can run into in any iteration of the Generic Isekai setting allow you to perform or create Space-Warping spells with those effects.

Alternatively, it might largely be a narrative clause that's just meant to prevent you from one-shotting big enemies in other settings by hurling them through portals. If you really don't like it, most people probably wouldn't fault you for ignoring it for narrative reasons. But if you take the Perk and just say that you solve every Jump by throwing enemies through portals into the sun, even crazy elder gods and the like, SoftAnon might put their foot down/people would talk shit to you in thread. It's a one-player game after all,
so you should just choose what you find to be the most enjoyable and interesting option.
