Except their unique spell is trash. Seraphon almost never fail battleshock tests because they're bravery 10+ across the board.
Arcane Bolt + Mystic Shield is not worth 260 points. You could bring any two wizards for less points and get the same thing.

Constellation sucks. There are a lot of ways for Seraphon to get reroll hit1. +1 to run/charge is useless at worst (saurus dont run, they march) and Skink Priests let you reroll charges so +1 to charge is a marginal benefit.
+1 to casting is really good... too bad all Seraphon unique spells suck.

The only reason to bring a Slann is to summon units, and that utility is not worthwhile.

Slann need a spell lore. They'll be trash until they get one.

It's some little facebook post from the official AOS page, I don't have it on hand but I'm sure you can find it if you dig for it

The GHB says that you pick one Allegiance and you get the accompanying bonuses. However, they later released this errata that says you can pick any allegiance abilities that your army is qualified to take.

So an Ironjawz Army can choose Ironjawz as their allegiance and get all their battleline-if units, but ALSO choose to use the Destruction Battle Trait, Command Trait, and Artefacts.
If you play a Stormcast army with Stormcast Allegiance you can still choose to take any of the Order abilities instead.

Need motivation to paint. I got into the hobby last April with pestilens, and I still haven't even completed a unit of monks. I now own a full 2000 point army of pestilens, of which I e only painted a plague claw and 90% of a monk unit.
I also have 2 nurgle sc (one of which is painted), 3 boxes of plaguebearers (one of which is painted), some pink horrors (painted for practice), 10 skelemans (1 of which is painted, though I plan to do them soon if not next), thanquol, 2 boxes of clanrats, a box of stormvermin, a warlord, a wight king, a necromancer (Christmas gifts from family, as were the skeles), some stormfiends (only one of which is even partly painted), a warlock, and most recently, a small dark eldar force.

Fuck me guys. As of right now, I have no desire to buy anything until I have 2/3 of this mess painted up. I really want to focus on my pestilens,, but the nurgle stuff is pretty fast (I painted the first SC this week). I need professional help.

The nurgle stuff is just for 1000 point games as pestilens isn't as flexible. I've also painted a lord of plagues.

The only reason I have non pestilens rats (ie thanquol and the skryre and verminous) is because the guys at GW said that it'd work awesome with my plague rats (and then soon after the GHB dropped and fucked me). Some of the verminous and skryre stuff was also gotten later for a warband for skirmish

I think the weapon abilities are new. Before it changed only the profile. Now the fumigator is very good for stopping charges, the mortar make you reroll shots for decksweepers and the decksweepers make you reroll to hot and damage on the cannon.

No idea how it will work out in practice, but in theory it makes a mixed unit good with every weapon having a good role.

Yep. Usually 'newer' releases gets their own book. But since freeguild are an older army you can get by with just the general's handbook. And using either the mobile app or games-workshop's own website to get the individual rules for your freeguild.

Rampaging Destroyers; I think will all saw a change coming here and I have to say that what GW have done is a pretty sleek simplification of what was a heavy dice rolling exercise. That's all well and good, but unfortunately the new rule is much less reliable as you only roll for Heroes and need to get a 6 (+2 for the General) to trigger an effect. If you do happen to roll that hallowed 6 (TBS dice are recommended) the abilities are nice for a selected unit; a 6" move, a pile in or a charge depending on the units proximity to the enemy. I always said that how good the Ironjawz abilities would be would also depend on the Destruction ones in turn; so with this change I think it's fair to say we'd be open to checking out something new.

Nothing Left Standing; same as before, however it now doesn't remove special scenery rules.

Might is Right; same as before, doesn't apply to mounts now.

Wild Fury; this has been simplified. It's now a flat +1 to hit if you've suffered any wounds. Again this would not apply to mounts.

Big and Brutish; unchanged.

Smashing and Bashing; you've seen this on the Community page. A very nice ability that can create some fantastic chain reactions. Note that it just says the combat phase so this also works in your opponents turn; wow!! Ordering combats will be more important than ever. I love a bit of finesse with my Ironjawz and which this seems so brutal, it will require planning to execute to its greatest potential.

Brutish Cunning; this is utterly gaming winning. On a 5+ you can have one Ironjawz unit close to your General charge at the start of your enemies charge phase before they do any. Fantastic. Just a shame it's always a fixed dice roll with no manipulation. Still, we'll get some stories here. Imaging triggering a Maw-krusha Destructive Bulk chain in your enemies charge phase!! Stories inbound!

Bestial Charisma; other than being a phrase often used to describe me, I think this is my fav Command Trait. D3 Inspiring Presences. Yes please.

Prophet of the Waaagh!; you can reroll Waaagh! or Mighty Waaagh! dice, or gain the Command Ability if you don't have it. Some people may enjoy this, does nothing for me though considering I don't use those command abilities anyway.

Ironclad; Rend -1 when attaching the General. Not bad at all on a Maw-krusha IMO. Wish it was an artefact.

The Boss Skewer; very much a case of saving he best for last here IMO. This adds +1 to your bravery in the battleshock phase and -1 to the opponent. Reasonable range on this one. 100% the first thing I'd be taking from this list.

Yes, it helps the color stick to the model, prevents chipping a little and helps with the basic hue of the model. That said, could you not just google that?

When you start off, do you guys normally prime everything before gluing it all together, or prime each piece individually then glue them together?

Priming before building is pretty difficult. I usually assemble in build groups (legs + torso + arms, head, weapon, shield), but in general it's fine to just assemble the entire model and then prime it.

Skyre is amazing, Pestilens and Verminus are pretty good, Eshin and Moulder are kinda shit; but all of that may change with the General's Handbook II coming out next week.

Yeah, I run an army based on clan Moulder, Skryre and Verminus units. You just have to find a unit that can work as battleline for all of them - I'm using clanrats

I started with a packmaster (named Squeet Mourntail) and 9 giant rats. I was pretty lucky - my first battle ended up as minor victory and I rolled 6 for a Famed Commander roll. I bought a rat ogor and after second battle won I was ready to buy a second one
