Glad you liked it Anon. Had a fun time going through the age categories and figuring out what a dragon would be up to in each. I figured since magic was based around the Dragon's habitat, setting one up in an urban area would lead to accademic studied styles of magic for things like Warding, Illusions and Transmutations to play the social aspects up.

Then, when you've got the whole system pretty much self-sustaining and feeding you money, it's time to live the life of the idle rich and go Adventure!...except draconic lifespans and immortality kinda leave that sorta thing behind by the time you've set yourself up right, so now it's called something else.

I think I'm just going to stop making comedic CYOAs. 1-2 people seems to really love each one but aside from that they're always ignored. I enjoy making them, but it's not enough. Call me a whiny baby if you want.

I would blame the dedicated shitposter for driving away the good authors and posters while leaving the rest unscathed, but I don't think he cares. I don't think I care anymore, either. I've been in this business for years; I also made Autism Prison, the rapey Viking cyoa, NEET dragon, and many others, but I think it's almost time to close up shop. The only reason I keep going is because I've sunk so much effort into these threads, and even though I enjoyed it for it's own sake, my pride won't let me quit without making something that will truly be remembered. I've got a lot of ideas for the one, but it's not going to be a lighthearted comedy, that's for sure. I'm going to bed anyway, I'll probably regret this post but whatever.

Planning out Quest DLC for Mentor/Lover/Friend/Rival as the next thing to do.

Current idea for the mechanic is to have a series of quests, each with a picture and description. Normal so far. I will describe the difficulties, but not place any mechanical limitation on what parties can accomplish what quests: that is up to the players to imagine.

However, the limiting mechanic will be time. Each quest will have an amount of time (in months, years, etc) that represents the amount of time of adventuring before that quest is encountered. More significant quests with more time. So, if you wanted to do a 1 year, a 6 month, and a 5 year quest that would take you a minimum of six and a half years of adventuring.

Quests give rewards in some combination of reputation, mundane wealth, magic item points, or bonus companions [the last of which will be achievable only once]. Magic item points would then be used to "purchase" magic items from another section, which would represent the treasure acquired in that particular quest.

So... Any issues that anon has with that, as a concept? Suggestions?

Mentor: Mithrodae Deford. Her cautious and careful approach makes her an excellent mentor, and her ability is an extremely useful one to try and master.

Lover: Wulfwe Bearskinner. Strong, clever, and well-disciplined, she's pretty ideal as a lover. I imagine we'll support each other quite well once I've learned from Mithrodae some.

Friend: Alonso Asodil. He seems like he'd be a lot of fun to geek out with, and I'm sure he'd be able to help me out with some of the trickier aspects of my new powers, at least intellectually.

There was CYOA that had you build a domain. To include what the people were like, interests, some landscape, even the size or location of the domain. One of the disadvantages if I remember correctly was that you could not leave the domain (for extra points). There was also a roll mechanism for extra points.
