What is your tier list for the Space Marine chapter rules? I'm thinking of starting a SM army and cant decide between Space Sharks (Raven Guard) or Black Templar.

Both of them seem to be pretty good at getting into close combat and fucking up someone's day.

Raven Guard are more versatile and their Stratagem will put one unit in close combat if you go first, Black Templar will make sure you get to close combat with several units though its not giving you anything else.

Go Raven Guard, I think its fluffy as well because are less about charging shit and more about sneaky overkill.

In that case, I'd suggest you choose based on looks. Nonetheless their styles are a bit different. BT are straight march to the enemy, while RG are mostly based on striking at the best possible moment after using your extra cover and providing support fire from afar. Also remember BT CANNOT use psykers, so if you'd like a librarian forget about them!

Well you can only use a single stratagem per phase so you can only infiltrate a single unit with it, now it is a very useful stratagem as you deploy the unit at the beginning of the first turn so you can move it and charge with it as opposed to normal deep strike which is at the end of the movement phase so you cant move.

Now for every unit that you dont put on the table during deployment you need to have a unit deployed on the table.

Ideas for dealing with Celestine as necrons? I lost by trying to focus her down and then everything else got into combat. Was running a large destroyer wing with d lord, and a stalker + DDA combo.

Overheard my local GW manager talking to a returning player about the new edition. He was telling him that GW used to release codices to promote new models and now they're releasing codices without new models which they've never done before.

So apparently intercessors, agressors, reivers, chadnaughts, hover land raiders, a half dozen new characters, flying machine gun astronauts and whatever other models I missed aren't new models. You missed out. The best time for deals was when 8e was announced and the rumor mills were in full swing. People were shelling out their whole armies on the cheap because they thought their dudes were getting shafted by the new rules.

Also, the badly-painted but decently-assembled minis are a good buy if they're cheap, you just need to put the work into stripping and re-painting them.

So I own a great deal of Bezerkers, but I almost don't want to play them because of how strong they've become. 80pts gets you 41 attacks on the charge at S5. That's insane.

One is just bend strongely and the other is extended. Raptor legs are posed for jumoing and takeoff. The raptors feets come seperate from the legs which makes it easy to clip thrlegs from their base and pose them as charging. you just need a bit of grenstuff (and be willing to assume that power armour soles can bend a bit.)
