Jumping is so much slower when you force yourself to adhere to a writing goal with the Alt-chain builder.

What is the best source of magic to learn? From what I've seen DC magic seems to just be a sort of reality warping and thus the most ideal to go for.

>>
>>54630553
Well if you take leaky emitter in mushoku tensei you can eventually do anything.

Hero bbs magic is basically bullshittium, make your own system.

Dc and marvel are both cool.

Dnd is also cool.

DXD magic is based on math but you can buy a completely custom system to do whatever you want.

Magicka magic is also able to do whatever the fuck you want at high levels, one wizard basically broke the world while locked up simply by repeating cheatcodes in his head. And it doesnt need mana.

>>
>>54630553
I'd go with magic from Marvel over DC, what with the "price" DC magic apparently always has.

But honestly, it comes down to taste. There's loads of magic systems, and it depends on how and what you want to do.
>>
>>54630553
DC's powerful, but it's a malicious bastard that takes the most asshole interpretation of "magic always has a price".

Marvel has a similar problem in that the impressive stuff requires invoking magical beings that will keep track of the debt you owe them.

The MC is a Jerk with a Heart of Gold so he doesn't acknowledge her as such but basically yes she tries to assert herself to be something like that.

>>54630622
On that topic, would you happen to already have some systems for Hero BBS in mind?

I plan on writing out a descripton for my round trip through the local multiverse so I've been bullshitting up some magical systems to wax poetic about. But I've only got the start for 3 which is pretty pitiful for what's meant to be a globetrotting journey.

>Ah, he's one of those harem MCs that won't touch any of his girls. What a gay.

Not really, he was betrayed by a girl not even a day after he was summoned to the world and after that he...became warped I guess you could say, he couldn't even taste the food he ate because of his hate.

I probably messed up somewhere on explaining it but I tried.
>>
>>54630769
Not really, Im a heavy enchanting jumper, I like crafting stuff and using bullshit brute force magic just handwave and push massive amoubts of mana into it or go really hard into the meticulous details and build it right.
>>
>>54630795
>Ah, he's one of those harem MCs that won't touch any of his girls. What a gay.
It's actually not that he's too nice like your typical virginal harem MC. Rather, the excuse for him being this big tough wish-fulfillment badass type is that he was betrayed by the princess of the kingdom he was isekai'd into and framed for rape, so now he hates all women. So he sees their advances as them just trying to take advantage of him. This is basically Fedora Tipper: The Light Novel.
>>
>>54630795
>harem protag doesn't realise he has a harem
>thinks he just has a lot of female friends
>when someone finally gets that idea through his dense head, he protests that he's gay
>anime/manga starts at that point

...I'd watch that.

Yeah but she never posts from the cat bin anymore.
>>
Is there anything that lets you use summons from other jumps (other than the stupidly expensive one in NGNL)? I want to build a huge rolodex with Seeker of Names from Anima so I have a summon for everything.
>>
>>54630769
It helps to read lots of Japanese fantasy manga/novels, since the series is meant to be poking fun at them.

But really most of the BBS magic seems to have a pretty persistent set of gimmicks. Personal MP, a mix of math and emotion-based casting, some game-system worlds, lots of magic circles.

Non OC?

There's the one woman in Skyrim's Dawnguard.

There's Seras & Girlycard from Hellsing

I think we have an Underworld jump, so the MC is probably available.

Overlord has Shalltear Bloodfallen, she's a gothic lolita vampire. She's into lots of kinky stuff.
>>
>>54630861
Yeah, but even then Magic mostly uses ambient magic and Invocations. And even fucking Dormammu calls on other magical beings because their specialized spells like the Bands of Cyttorak is always the best. The only ones who don't really call on others are gods. And people like Wiccan who have a natural connection to incredibly powerful beings/energy sources.
>>
>>54630915
>Girlycard
Isn't... isn't that gay?

Are there any perks that can neutralize that caveat of most luck perks being just luck with the potential for things to go wrong? Like, a way to make your luck always apply?

>>
>>54630795
Part of the issue was that he got royally burned out on trust since apparently everyone hates the Shield Hero in this kingdom and keeps betraying him. The other part of it is that his harem consists entirely of lolis (and one former loli that magically grew up) that need to be protected. Shield Hero is pretty normal for not wanting to bang little girls.
>>
>>54630935

>>54630988
I'm pretty sure the average person doesn't wanna bang a little girl, Shield Knight fits into that mold as far as I know.
>>
>>54630936
No, because then it wouldn't be luck. That's intrinsic to the concept of good luck that things won't necessarily work, they're just likely to. What you want is some sort of perfect Mary Sue things never go wrong ever power. Which we probably have, somewhere or other, but I don't know where.
>>
>>54630855
Maybe the Nanoha Summoner perk? It might not work across jumps though, ask Heavens.
>>
>>54631077
You missed my point.

Him being average is a bad thing. I consider it a criticism to call him average, and it being a negative trait if true.
>>
>>54631067

>>
>>54630855
Tales of Phantasia has one, I believe. I don't know what the Nanoha one is priced at but this one is a capstone so curb your enthusiasm.
>>
Your bait is weak, old man.
>>
>>54631077
>I'm pretty sure the average person doesn't wanna bang a little girl, Shield Knight fits into that mold as far as I know.
Correct. He wants to abuse little girls, but not sexually. Naofumi isn't getting off on it when he projects his hatred for women onto his slaves (oh yeah, his harem is made of slaves, by the way) and mistreats them horribly, he's just psychologically unbalanced because the evil goddess that rules the world specifically selected worthless creeps to summon as the heroes so that they'll be extra susceptible to psychological torture. Now Medea, she gets off on it when she breaks the spirits of people who thought they were the protagonist.
>>
>>54631137
Isekai was a mistake.
>>
>>54631101
What, why? Everyone has average traits. The average person likes icecream. The average person is right handed. What are you wanting exactly???
>>
>>54631034
I wouldn't call being popular with the invisible, omnipresent watchers beyond reality who dictate whether my world continues or ends in mysterious ways an-well alright, when you put it THAT way.

I'm just saying, the one upside about becoming a christmas cake is no longer having to bear the responsibility of being existence's support pillar.
>>
>>54631127
On the off chance this isn't bait: it doesn't exist and the jumpmaker is gone. No you can't make your own.

Take a look at the end of the Jorge Joestar jump for some general information about stands, then make one up.

If you try to make omni-god the omni-stand that gives you omnipotence we, or at the very least I, will laugh at you.
>>
>>54630936
Some of the Light classes in Sburb probably could.

I'm fairly certain you can be a Luckstealer or some other prestige class in DnD that gives consious control over applying luck bonuses to rolls.
>>
>>54631116
Stop fucking playing semantics you fucking retard, you know what I fucking mean. I want to make it so that the best possible result that could occur from any given action, call it luck or whatever, will always happen, all the time.

Holy shit, I dropped out after the evil church cult got beaten and the queen came back, did he turn into a complete monster at some point later on?

I remember the original girl was bought as a slave and he kept up the pretense to let her get away with shit in public, but I don't remember him ever actually treating her like one, or getting other slaves along the way. Only other two girls I remember was the bird girl and the younger princess, and he generally tried to keep them safe (treated the princess like shit since he thought she was in on things with her dad and sister to sell him up the river, but trusted her later).

DC Occult and Young Justice both have perks that help you eschew or circumvent both the price of magic and some requirements for certain spells. This makes DC magic much more worthwhile.

D&D magic is also good for practically everything once you get to a high enough level.

TES magic is also really good. Conjuration/summoning is fairly safe, and you can make some incredible weapons and armor powered by monster and animal souls.

Geneforge has a special kind of magic that lets you design, create, and modify animals, plants, monsters, and sapient beings.

And the magic from MCU works really good with magitech since it's designed around manipulating space and dimensions, and pulling matter and energy from alternate realities.

Still working on JLU, but I wanted some feedback on this perk that I wrote after thinking about 1-up perks and this one episode that deals with resurrection.
Hereafter [800cp]: Anytime you’re hit by something that would normally completely erase you from existence, either via disintegration, atomization, magical destruction, etc., you will instead be transported… somewhere else. For some reason your enemy misunderstood or miscalculated their attack and the resulting blast has propelled you to a dangerous and desolate place that is somehow suppressing all of your supernatural abilities. Fortunately there is someone of something that can help you escape from here, but the way to your destination is dangerous and even if you manage to reach it you still might be able to leave immediately. Still, if you can get back home you’ll definitely have a long and interesting story to tell people.

As long as we're on the topic of Pokemon, how do weights and compositions translate to their human forms?

Wailord is less dense than air, and all that.
>>
>>54631432
It's an 800 cp extra life perk that only works when you're hit by a specific kind of attack, and it strips you of all your powers and has the potential to kill you on top of that. Who would ever go for this? The way this reads, it would even go behind all your other extra life perks. This is less than worthless, taking it is actively detrimental.

Surprised to See Me? [?cp]: Perk that makes it so you can always find people willing to help you whenever you’re stranded on an alien planet, stuck in the wrong time period, or just find yourself lost in some weird and dangerous place. You could meet a kind old lady who’d help rally the crowd in favor of a captured friend to prevent their death, stumble across the resistance on a hostile alien world, find a group of marines who just happen to be on the same mission you’re on if get sent to the middle of WW2, or even encounter your future self during a mission to restore the timeline.

I’m Gonna Punch A Hole In Your Head [?cp]: You have a warrior mentality, which means you can easily kill criminals and supervillains without hesitation if they deserve it and not be adversely affected. However some of your allies may object to you killing or severely injuring people. Regardless of how often you use lethal force your opponents will always remember you’re capable of it, granting you a major boost to intimidation.

What's a good perk or combination of perks that would allow one to act as a conduit for magic from other universes? Basically I want to teach my companions magic from worlds they weren't imported into, but I'd rather not just use straight power copying perks, because that feels a little too easy to me. Essentially I want to act as the fiat-protected power source my companions draw on to cast the magic after I teach it to them. I'll worry about expanding my mana pool later. The source sharing is the important bit.

FF6 (I don't care, shitposter) has a perk to grant magic systems, but it is the whole thing, not quite what you want. I think there are other jumps that can give out magic systems, but I don't know what they are.

Magitek Mastery (600) (Discount Magiteknician)
In essence, magitek is simply the use of magical energies as a power and fuel source for technology. Your
understanding of that outstrips anyone elses, and you can now apply this principle to any technology you own. By
altering your devices to use something magical in nature, such as a magicite stone, an enchanted item, or just raw
magical energy, you can enhance it in every single way and give it unique properties. A suit of armor would become
much harder, lighter, and more agile than before, perhaps even boosting the physical abilities of the wearer in line
with the magical power source. From there, the armor could make more esoteric uses of the magic, such as casting
spells on its own based around the sort of magic infused into it automatically or at the wearer's prompting. This isn't
some measly effect restricted to the mundane or basic, no, magic can infused into any sort of technological device to
enhance its functionality and give it a partially magical nature and powers. Even life may be infused with magitek
technology like this, not only as cybernetics but directly as well. In this situation, it behaves a bit differently. The
magic integrates itself into their body, becoming a natural part of them, allowing them access to that magic system
and enhancing them physically, but they must grow into it. They start at a much weaker level, where they have to
practice and develop their connection to this magic to realize it fully. There's no upper limit to them beyond what
the magic's system is capable of, but it can take time, and you can instead choose to infuse living things with a
larger amount of magic to grant them greater magical ability much more quickly. Unfortunately, this can have
dangerous side effects, as giving them too much to handle at once can

Have Complete Arsenal bullshit up a bunch of Tinker madness, have Contractor give everyone in the group an extra power that synergies with their original or is just useful in the given situation, have Path To Victory share plans for how best to use everyone's powers, have Boogie Manimal make a bunch of minions and fodder, have Iterative Improvement make equipment for Enhanced Mastery, and have Warp Spasm fight Quantum Evolution.

Broken as fuck even without stacking it all in one person.

You seem to be leaping to conclusions here.

Also I want to remind you of something else. If you want to shitpost and declare anons can't do it, Hashirama has a freakish body that's stated to not work like a normal person's. We see this displayed too, and it's implied to be because of his Wood Release. Hashirama is, in nature, similar to the trees he summons. That's an innate part of the power. Which isn't surprising, a lot of blood lines make your biology inhuman.

Since we are all talking about naruto and waifuing I will share this that I copy and pasted from a previous discussion.

>>53417592
Gonna spoil this out of a futile attempt to hide my shame, but: Naruto, if you have a few other perks. Specifically, you'll want The Path of Heaven from Kamen Rider Kabuto, and You're Gonna Wake Up The Rest of the Bitches from Black Dynamite, and Toggle from Young Justice. Some protection against mind control would be useful. Now, in Naruto, take the 0CP version of the fanfiction drawback and choose the smut-fic "Icha Icha World", toggle off The Path of Heaven, then stay in the background until near the end of the Fourth Ninja War. At this point, toggle The Path of Heaven back on so that you're the main character and the story revolves around you. You will now take Naruto's place as the person the Infinite Tsukuyomi revolves around giving a planet-wide harem to. You're Gonna Wake Up The Rest of the Bitches gives you the prowess to see your way to the resolution of the plot where Naruto (now you) sexes Kaguya so hard that she cancels the Infinite Tsukuyomi, uses the Ten-Tails' vines to turn everyone into their appearance in the illusion instead of a White Zetsu like normal, and transfers all her power to you.

No. I'm saying that he might have learned senjutsu from his connection to nature. The conversation was about whether he used his trees to fuel his senjutsu, which we see no evidence of. If I've gotten mixed around and thought you were saying that he could use his trees to gather natural energy, I apologize for my confusion.

>Naruto wouldn't have needed frog training in that case.
Madara and Hashirama had stronger connections to their transmigrant chakra than Sasuke and Naruto, at least until Hagoromo gave them a boost. We know that the Asura half of the Six Paths Chakra covers senjutsu, based on the enhancement to it that Naruto got post-boost. So him having learned it from Asura is possible. But it's just a hypothesis, I'm not stating that's the case.

Shit, now that's a question. JUMPERS - what kinds and how many scars do you have? How'd you get them - were they deliberate or a result of conflict or accidents? How do they look?

So I have the race options down for sure but I would like to know whether or not you all think the CP costs are appropriate.

Would there be an option to go to either version of BRS? Like the game version or the anime version.

>>
>>54633817
Yeah, there will probably be a few 0 cost drawbacks that lets you choose continuity and maybe a CP giving drawback to make it an amalgam version. I'm not sure how I feel about giving a discount for Extraterrestrial based on version as they are supposed to be equal in power to Other Selves and I don't want to incentivize one continuity over another.

Jump #181 I.M. Meen
Age: 11
Gender: Female
Background: Book Worm (100)
Perks:
*Dos Graphics (0)
*See them study, watch them learn (0)
*Greater Grammar (300, Discount)
* Wrong Way, Wrong Way, Wrong Way! (300)
Equipment
*Writewell’s Book of Better Grammar (300, Discount)

Usually I would feel bad if I made a villain cry, I haven’t ever done that really. That was a new one. In this case though I feel my actions were proper and perfectly justified.

So a creepy guy captures me in a magical labyrinth filled with grammar puzzles and monsters… Getting this guy was likely less competent than a Saturday morning cartoon villain I decided to meet out a different sort of punishment.

Defeating his guardians would have been easy instead I used my defeat means friendship and purification abilities to turn them to my side. I also started to use magic to change the labyrinth itself to make it much more hospitable.

Turning it from a damn dungeon in to a palace much better than what I.M. Meen is used to. So I set the kids free and we had a party we learned stuff and did all the stuff he hated. I even taught the former guardians.

At this point I.M. Meen was livid. I had taken over his Labyrinth and I had taken over his monsters. He tried to summon more monsters but I just turned them too. Then he tried to confront me… I was immune to what he tried to do. I just walked over and patted him on the head and said “You tried” and walked away. So he lost it completely we were all tossed out of the book he was in tears when he told us to get out and never come back.

I see, its just that those prices are rather steep. I know that the Otherselves and Extraterrestrials are more powerful than humans by a very large degree, but I personally think that they should be 200CP at least if you really wanted to put a price on them. Or at least give us a reason why they cost that much, such as if they'll get some freebies such as some exclusive physiology perk, weapon, or something to justify the price.

Is it funny that if I were to actually go on a jumpchain, that my chain wouldn't look anything like my writing does, and quite a few jumps just wouldn't be interesting since I'd be playing it safe? I'd probably take a perk that keeps me from becoming "dropping acid at disneyworld" crazy and then do VtR if I actually went on a chain.

Mmmm, I think it's perfectly fine actually. A good story doesn't necessarily have to be realistic. Most of us would probably have really boring adventures since no one likes taking unnecessary risks. Few of us here are so spontaneous that we could just whip something nearly as wacky or interesting as the idealized Jumpers we write about.

I'm so bad about this that I have to pick up more ambitious or conflicting companions that help to fill out interesting plot stuff, since I'm so content with whatever I have and passive that nothing happens unless it's in reaction

That all being said, I honestly wish you good luck anon. Reading over your own Jumper's story gives a feeling of accomplishment, even if you never plan to share it.

Oh, boy. Yeah its a doozy. Her first Ion centric one that can be joined is essentially a test in which you can prove that you can be trusted. Since you know, she can't see you or even know whats going on in your head.

The one in which Nelico appears is how she felt when she was stuck in the dream world and how she's holding up her emotions.

Then the Renall one is where she lets that all out since she is real fucking tired of her situation. The feeling of wanting to go home byt not at the cost of lives of anyone else. Then she feels that you don't love her at all since you're just sitting there pressing buttons while looking through a screen. Though of course by completing it you assure her that even if the two of you can't be together forever, you'll still love her.

In Nay's final Genometric its pretty much her desire to be depended on since no one depended on her for anything back on Earth.

Her final one is pretty much a reassurance of both your feelings towards one another.

And finally in Shirotakas part, its actually a scenario from before she was taken to Ra Ciela. This shows some things that she did and a bit of her motivations when she was back home. Also turns out that some stable time loop was happening in which when the player was using the brass dragon bot, they were actually doing it at the same time when she was back on Earth due to it having a connection to the Ar Nosurge Tube/Surge Concerto Terminal.

But also remember that the Genometrics also tend to exaggerate the feelings of the one who is being dived into since its in their subconsciousness.

TL;DR I love Ion and I wanna step on her gently.

Yeah, sort of. It's implied that a lot of the Disney Live Action shows take place in the same universe, with crossover specials popping up. It becomes rather weird when shows like The Suite Life of Zack and Cody crosses over with Wizards of Waverly Place. Given the latter can go from 'magical mishaps' to 'fallen angels trying to turn everyone in the world evil', while the former is pure slice of life.

My chain would basically be one giant power trip. The worst part is I'd probably do VtR first, and then trounce a lot of low power settings like Pirates of the Caribbean, Mob and Breaking Bad. Also going to death note and being a complete outside-context problem for Light Question being whether or not it'd be more fun to fuck with him during the plot or just out him in the first 10 minutes, easily doable with jumper powers and no knowledge of the setting. I'm really in love with how much detail is in the VtR jump and the more I research it the more I like the setting, and this is coming from a vampfag.

What's the rule on acquiring in-setting powers and items through the regular means instead of spending points? I'm planning on, and this I'd actually do in a chain, being En bloodline and then using diablerie to megaman myself to victory.

Stuff gotten the hard way work so long as you've got the source with you. IE learning some martial arts technique that relies on internal energies everyone in the setting has will work fine, but learning something that relies on an external power source that you haven't purchased an associated perk or item for wouldn't. Might be able to substitute it using other power sources but I don't think I've ever seen people even consider doing that for things other than tech.

Glad you found a niche you really enjoy at least. As for rulings like that, most Jumps allow you to learn or get stuff inside of the setting itself and keep it as far as I'm aware, barring certain exceptions that often list such a thing within the Jump. Diablerie is kind of the ultimate forbidden fruit in VtM and VtR, and I think it's a good story element and something very doable. The real problem in VtR is it's easier to get caught and it's not worth doing as much due to rule changes. But I like the En all the same.

Theocracy by necessity, but I ensure that the government beneath myself functions essentially like a republic or a constitutional monarchy at worst. Essentially, I'm the big god queen who can do whatever she wants, everyone who actually runs the place day-to-day is beholden to democratic principles. It's really just enshrining the fact that I can and will get directly involved in things when I need to without dealing with showboating politicians. Worship isn't mandatory, but knowledge of who is in charge and founded everything is.

Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead
>You emerge from the shelter into the dim light of an overcast day, and look around for the first time since the disaster.
>The world as you knew it is gone and in its place, a twisted mockery of all that was once familiar.
>Everything was cast aside in that frantic race for the shelter. You have no food, nothing to drink, no weapons. Nothing but your ingenuity and the fierce determination to survive against appalling odds.
>A grim prospect faces you. Perhaps worse even than the nightmares of last night, when you were tortured by dreams of the dead themselves rising to jealously tear life from the living.
>You cast your eyes up the road and begin to walk towards a house in the far distance. Things may be bad right now, but you've got a sinking feeling that there are darker days ahead.

Diablerie is basically the most heinous crime a vampire can commit. It's draining another vampire until they die, at which point, their soul is consumed and utterly annihilated and the diablerist gains powers from the victim. This can be disciplines (vampiric powers, for the uninformed), knowledge, memories or raw power in the form of increasing blood potency, if your victim had more potent blood.

The reason I want to be the En is because ordinarily, diablerie has a few tells and many drawbacks. Namely, diablerists risk losing their grip on humanity very quickly, their aura's gain black streaks that persist for years and that evidence is enough to condemn a diablerist, and it's highly addictive. The En bloodline gives you a symbiotic demon that fuses with the regular beast that all vampires have, and it's gifts protect you from addiction and the black aura streaks. At higher blood potency, the demon can protect you from starving yourself into torpor, can absorb another vampire's soul with a touch instead of needing to drink them dry, sire new vampires without needing to spend willpower, and taking bloodline disciplines.

I really like them from a narrative stance, since the bloodline had to be basically hunted to extinction by an anti-vampire superweapon. It'd be great for a power-hungry jumper and I really like the concept of diablerie since it means even the damned have unspeakably awful crimes, but there's always a vampire who's power hungry enough to engage in it anyway, and the whole bloodline feels like it was tailored to my taste, aside from being in a clan I'm lukewarm about. I really think it should've been in Ventrue.

I'm bored, so I'm just going to post my ideas for how to get the most out of Boogie Manimal since I've been thinking on it.

Okay, so, for a start, the main thing about this power is that you produce a finite amount of fog at once which doesn't accumulate if you don't invest it somewhere, and start to reach a point of declining returns after a days worth of fog pumped into a minion. You can make as many minions as you want at no penalty as well. You can make a large variety of fairly strong minions with just that, but you can keep going farther basically indefinitely to continue powering them up, albeit slower and slower over time.

So, clearly, it's best to constantly generate fog and only invest a small amount of fog into a given general mass producible minion, only putting in more than the minimum to customize existent creations to solve unusual problems. These minions have to be discreet and multipurpose, versatile, and useful in large numbers.

My idea was to model them after Sea Urchins. Little balls of spines coated in toxins, make them flying, invisible, selectively intangible, teleporting, and give them a wide range sensory suite. Then give each of them them one or two of a variety of other minor powers, so when they mass together they can do a variety of things with high effectiveness.

What do you guys think?

Not sure about VTR,but in VTM at least, sanctioned diablerie happens. The Sabbat considers it okay to do whenever you can manage it, and the Camarilla, while normally very strict about it, will often sanction the diablerie of vampire criminals since it encourages every high gen to gun for the guy.

Yes, those are accurate. The Sabbat, as well as the Assamites and probably other, lesser-known groups, have no such prescription against it. Sanctioned diablerie is even better in VtM since generation is harder to lower than blood potency is to raise. They're basically the same stat in two similar games, but blood potency fluctuates naturally, increasing as you remain active and lowering when you hibernate. For those who don't know. It's a lot better in VtM since you can gain xp, but you can't really lower generation. I think the average neonate vampire would diablerize another vampire if they weren't going to get in trouble for it, since that power boost will last for the rest of your nights. Also, it might not be sanctioned, but at least in VtR it's probably still illegal during a blood hunt, but in particular circumstances (the crimes being bad enough: serial diablerist, wide-scale masquerade breaches, credibly trafficking with the powers of hell and risking an apocalypse or something similar) the Prince won't sanction it, but might be persuaded to look the other way.

I'm the Overlord. People do what I say, and if they refuse I beat them up. It's a very simple arrangement.

But I usually start delegating once it starts getting beyond the "ragtag group of prinnies and goats pretending to be orks" phase. So there are, like, lieutenants or generals or kings or whatever meaningless title who are in charge of day to day stuff and organizing, and then I just kindof loaf around, because politics are for nerds.

Politics is personally irritating for me to deal with. Too much fake smiling and playing nice with people I don't like. I'm a jumper so I don't need to deal with that. I just say whatever I want and I have the perks make sure people get what I mean. I have enough checks and balances to make sure that I don't have too much power in government, however.

0.3: Removed item stipend, all races now receive a one-time Sacred Gear discount. Members of the Heaven Faction can trade the discount to receive one Holy Sword of 400 or less. Had to adjust Sacred Gear prices to have an even base price - some were increased, some were decreased.

It is worth pointing out that that doesn't help you if the average result on the given bit of chance is "you die". Or similar things.

Like, for example, an event happens and random chance says that on average someone in that situation would die. You got the average result (ie: dying). Well .. you're dead. You got the average result after all, so it's not exactly going to kick in and change anything.

That perk is mostly useful for dealing with abilities or powers that deal in percentage chances and things like that.

I never said it was useless. And I had been assuming for all this time that it /did/ let you make multiple portals, but when I checked recently, nothing of that nature was explicitly stated. Which was why I asked, to see if anyone else knew or if there had been a ruling. And which I thought pertinent to ask, because not only is the Doormaker power clearly different than it was in canon (albeit upgraded), so are quite a lot of the others. So. Please cool your jets, senpai.

As for the other thing, the Dimensional Breach Controller does the same, and doesn't require you to "spend" a power. And honestly, there's not really much of a reason why you couldn't use other forms of dimensional travel to travel to them once you fiat up some mirror worlds. Yes, it is still a significant investment, but it's one that arguably requires a less-limited resource.

Getting the dimensional breech controller is a waste of CP honestly. It's cheaper and better to just pay 300cp for a Companion that comes with 900cp of their own to spend. Have them spend 300cp to pick their power (doormaker) and you've got access to fiat backed mirror worlds and an extra helper + whatever else they get.

Actually, all of the capstone items are kind of pointless to buy yourself, because it's more effective to just spend that 300cp (I'm assuming you're getting a discount if you're buying a 600cp item here) on a Companion that comes with 900cp, and they can just buy a decent power and then also buy the 600cp item you were aiming for anyway.

I'm usually not a fan of companion muling tactics but the Worm jump is set up to heavily encourage it.
