Are there any perks that work for making an army of mundane humans stand up to Kaiju/Gods/Supers?

What are some good perks to keep your personality intact after hundreds of jumps and becoming a horrible eldritch abomination
>>
>>54314986
Other than giving them lots of advanced technology?
>>
>>54315006
I'd lick her strap sweat

More importantly, how would you people avoid the Omnipotence paradox in the Toaru-verse, if you were aiming to become Magic Gods?
>>
>>54314986
IIRC there was a perk in the Asterix jump if you take the roman route that gives you a nice boost if you have strength in numbers, which is great for an army.
Otherwise you'd have to give this army some advanced tech like>>54315023 said
>>
In the Marvel Magic jump, if i take "Elder God Hybrid" and "Skyfather". Do i stand a chance of one day reaching the might of my Elder God parent? Like if i take Chthon as my parent, do i one day become as powerful as him?
>>
How dangerous is the animorphs jump?
I haven't read the books, so i no nothing about the setting except the stuff stated in the jump.
Is it safe to go to as your 2nd jump?
How dangerous are those aliens?
>>
>>54315033
You can't because magic gods aren't onmipotent. Everything they do is a 'maybe they could, maybe they couldn't' situation, except when it isn't.
>>
>>54315035
>Asterix jump
? I don't remember any jump by that name?
>>
>>54315063
Just make judicious use of the fact that you heal when morphing and with a little luck you should only come out with pretty severe PTSD. If I recall only one of the protagonists dies and she was the most bloodthirsty.

Basically, you'll live if you play smart and hang with the main group of animorphs. Probably.
>>
>>54315083
some anon made it a couple of threads ago. It's still WIP
http://i.4cdn.org/tg/1499430322369.pdf

the perk i was talking about was different from what i remembered, but maybe still what you want:

>600 Strength in numbers: Rome was built on her Legions, on the many being greater than the
sum of their parts, and none exemplify this better than you. In battle you are the life of any
attacking army, jumper, being able to suffuse your compatriots and fellows with your own
strength and powers so that they may use them just as well as you. This includes magical
powers and technology and what have you, as long as you choose to share it, it gets spread
around. While the details of how you split these powers is up to you, by default everything you
deem ‘shareable’ is evenly split. So careful. And there is a limit, which is the point at which your
remaining abilities wouldn’t be enough to keep you functioning. You may revoke these granted
abilities at will.
>>
>>54314986
Try My Hero Academia's Drop In capstone.
>>
>>54315104
i see, thanks. Then it should be pretty easy to beat the aliens with chimera morphing and extreme morphing alone?
Especially since i could use those powers for copying my pokemon...
>>
>>54315161
No. You'll be more likely to survive, though. Beating the aliens would take a hell of a lot more.

The aliens are holding back to not spoil the earth, and because the leader had kids in her host's body, so now she thinks of them as her kids. That's not to say she wouldn't sacrifice them if you tried to take them hostage, though. They could come in and wreck shit. When you up the power, they can retaliate in kind and sink the world into a long and bloody war.

Basically, you're the resistance made of a handful middle school students, not the military in a fair fight. You might not even be able to compare in a 1-on-1 fight with Visser Three with just those perks, Anon. Though you could put up a hell of a fight.

Jumpers, what is the cornerstone of your military tactics? And do you delegate these things to someone else, or prefer to lead yourself?

>>54315128
Awesome, I've wanted to Jump that one for a long time, but balancing the potion sounds like hell.

I hope we get a Twelve Tasks of Jumper drawback.
>>
>>54315259
>Jumpers, what is the cornerstone of your military tactics? And do you delegate these things to someone else, or prefer to lead yourself?

I lead from the front when possible, but also as a leader I have capable commanders and troops so that I don't have to micro manage every battle. Also semi circles
>>
>>54315063
Not super dangerous, but still enough that I wouldn't want to do it as a second jump. The Yeerks are holding back, so they're not going to glass continents or anything (though they can), but against your little group they will be as ruthless as possible. Let me put it this way: The most common Yeerk host body for soldiers is a seven foot tall lizardman covered in blades. The next most common is a twenty foot-long centipede that is so endlessly hungry that the Yeerks inside them can't actually control them when they go into a feeding frenzy. And the human hosts are armed with particle beam weapons. And that's before you get into all the crazy shit that Visser Three imports from space to fuck with you. Living fog from the moons of Saturn, ancient extinct ice monsters, some sort of super-fast centaur...Visser Three himself is no joke, either. He's the only Yerk capable of morphing, and he's used his prestige to travel the galaxy and acquire a ridiculous array of combat morphs. The first one we see is a fire-breathing space hydra, and it just goes up from there. And did I mention that Space God and the Space Devil will occasionally kidnap you and your friends to go through challenges, fighting to prove their respective philosophies? And against all this, all you have is the power to turn into a hyena. Do you think a hyena can effectively fight the Space Devil's lava men? I don't!
>>
>>54315035
Wait we have an asterix and obelix jump?
>>
>>54315259
>Jumpers, what is the cornerstone of your military tactics

See if I can beat the situation alone. If not I go to plan B which is drown the enemy in undead and robots.
>>
>>54315259
My tactics are based on good old high-speed response and targeting of critical enemy assets. It's a strategy that works very well when you've got a fully-integrated cybertelepathic link between your forces. There's that whole "netrocentric" buzzword in modern military theory, but it has nothing on what cyborgs can do.

Uh...that's. Hard to say, what with Marvel powerlevels fluctuating wildly (i.e. I'm not sure how Elder Gods compare to Galactus) and our only real example of both being Thor. Who's basically Marvel's Superman, which means he has a LOT of shounen protagonist-like qualities.

Judging by how Old King Thor turned out, it seems as though you'll never BE an Elder God straight up, but you might barely approach being comparatively STRONG in other areas.

I'm mainly thinking of how after winning his battle with a little help from the Necrosword, his spilt blood rejuvenated the entire Earth's ecosystem. Previously Thor had a little geokinesis from his descent from Gaia, so it seems as though he had some potential all along. He just never really got round to cultivating it more.

>>54315259
Territory control and assymetrical warfare taken to extremes. Memetic killcodes and living viruses released into the networks. Nanite clouds to infiltrate and disassemble enemy assets. Brute force leyline control to terraform a battlefield.

I have a lot of companions who specialised in this stuff, but it's such a broad approach I do a fair bit of it myself. Ideally, we coordinate together; nothing good ever comes out of halfassing a war you're involved in.

>>54315223
I want to point out that Visser Three is a beast of a personal melee fighter and used to be brutally cunning, but frequent defeat by plucky teenagers and the power going to his head after he got put in charge of the invasion fleet make him a terrible strategist.

...he's actually really similar to Megatron from Transformers Prime, but meaner. If only because unlike Megatron, he has no best friend from his gladiator days.

Also to take into account: This setting doesn't shy away from how harsh and terrifying this stuff can be. The instincts that come with morphing make it so that being a simple being is so much worse than being a complex one, so you'll need to think twice before becoming a bug or something. They have to sacrifice the entire B-Team, that's death not capture, in order to have a shot at victory. The allies that come from space are pretty ambivalent to Earth's survival. The heroes induct a psychopath that tries to murder them all on the grounds that it doesn't count when they're not human, so they trap him as a rat and leave him on the island of the rats. This isn't some teenagers save the world on their lonesome setting.
>>
>>54315355
To be honest, turning into a regular animal is extra lame compared to most superpowers.

What Esper ability did you take in the raildex jump, and what kind of stuff can you do with it at Level 5?

Don't forget-Space Satan takes a personal interest in the kids lives! Enough to ressurect said psychopath that one time, and then pit him against the team action girl on a death planet.

And there's nothing anyone can do about Space Satan (Crayak).

And Space Satan was driven out of his home galaxy by someone more powerful.

And there is a none-zero chance the Animorphs may have ended their lives by ramming that being after it took over their friend.

And that's STILL arguably better than what the kids in Everworld or Remnants went through.

Depends, in most fantasy jumps I'm leading from the front charging in like a conquering warlord and limiting my power to around the level of the most powerful of my current adversaries so I can have an entertaining fight
In space my tactics can be summed up with nothing but the word Drones. I shit autonomous drones out of my command ship thanks to Supreme Commander tech and then sit back and blast things with superlasers, macro batteries, quantum torpedoes and lance fire

Yeah, Animorphs was fucking hardcore for a series marketed towards kids. I mean, maybe it was meant to be in the Young Adult market and aimed at thirteen to fifteen year-olds, but it was at my elementary school's little Scholastic book fair thing (Anyone else had those?). This shit was being read by seven year-olds. And then when the series ended Applegate (or at least, the name, Applegate has admitted to being just the face with ghost writers contributing to a lot of the stories) put out Remnants, and that was just horrific. Fucking eyeless alien babies that eat human flesh so they can grow strong enough to use their psychic powers to enslave an artificial reality made out of Hieronymus Bosch paintings.
>>
>>54315487
Never got to read much of either of those. But animorphs is nightmare fuel for the teen/preteen reading level.

And the ending was a cliffhanger.
>>
>>54315259
>Jumpers, what is the cornerstone of your military tactics?

rods from God that turn into robot factories and
teleporting robots of various sizes that can be anywhere at any time combined with teleporting entire command structures into the sun at once

>And do you delegate these things to someone else, or prefer to lead yourself?

Tyrion Lannister is my general/Minister of war so I delegate actual war to him
>>
>>54315128
Not really what I was looking for. That's honestly just a really bad power sharing perk, and what I'm looking for is a way to make bigger armies relevant at higher power levels.
>>
>>54315503
>school's little Scholastic book fair thing (Anyone else had those?

And the eyeless alien baby is terrified of what humans can evolve into. Straight up calls a braindamaged recluse of a psychic "The Ancient Enemy" like the thing saw the Devil

After a while it's really like the X-Men if it was written by HP Lovecraft.
>>
>>54315563
It really is, a lot of the kids wind up mutating and so very few of the mutations are pleasant. This is a story where "sudden spontaneous accidental cannibalism" happens more than once.

Space Satan and Space God are playing a game with entire civilizations as pieces on the board. They don't directly intervene outside of certain rules I can't really remember. Against the Yeerk it's mostly infiltration and melee combat.

Not to mention that Space God chose who the Animorphs were, and may have stacked the deck somewhat in his favor.

I prefer to delegate.
Supposedly I have enough tactics and mental processing perks that I'm actually a tactical genius. That Drop-In capstone from the one Fire Emblem jump and Overlord's Golden Mind come to mind. I have those.
But god damn, you'd never know it, because I prefer to just leave some Beastmen in charge of tactics, or maybe an AI, and when I do have to get involved I like to smash indiscriminately with huge fireballs.
I leave the complicated stuff to the people I put in charge of it, and I don't like to be bothered. In terms of army direction, it's seriously like I'm channeling Lordgenome.

>>54315439
Geez, I remember reading those books as a kid, and the craziest shit that happened was when Cassie turned into a yeerk to convince another yeerk to defect, or when Jake got possessed by one and they had to capture him and make it starve to death.
But I lost all my books shortly after that and never picked it back up again. So whenever everyone is like, "This series gets DARK as FUUUUUCK", it's always so weird to me. It sounds like I really missed out on some shit.
>>
>>54315675
Oh, don't worry, Crayak will never directly harm you. He can't, it's part of the rules of his deal with the Elimist. Nor can he rig the game, any of his challenges have to be something you can in theory win. So he's not actually a huge threat. I mean, getting thrown to an alien world to fight lava men isn't going to be fun, but it's honestly not that much worse than your day-to-day as an Animorph, once you figure out the trick to fighting the lava men (hint: the alien world you're on is one that has memory-sharing technology, and the lava men have a hive mind). Also, I'm being a bit deceptive here, they're not really lava men. They just look like they are, their body temperature is only a bit above normal.

As for what morphing is good for? Guerilla tactics and asymmetrical warfare. Having access to animal forms means it's very hard to keep you out of a place, and once you're in there you can start rampaging around as an elephant. In a straight fight against the Yeerks you're going to lose, so never make it a straight fight. Sabotage their operations, kill their leaders, destroy their infrastructure, and make them jump at shadows. They think that because they're brain parasites that they're the best at infiltrating and subverting their enemies. Show them that they're wrong.
>>
>>54315606
Not that guy, but you could probably get there just by getting gud.

Esper powers apparently can be made better by improving the body, and the Coffin experiments were done with the cooperation of the Magic Side in an attempt to create a body that could serve as a vessel for a Level 6 ability or God. It probably would have worked, weirdly enough, since the only reason the experiment stopped was because they pissed Accelerator off.

So, just improve your body until you can handle the pressure of transforming into SYSTEM. Which is harder than it sounds, because the only demonstrated example of a Level 6 Shift attempt would have collapsed into a Dwarf Star after only a few percent of the way towards the goal. Like, even if you succeed, like how Accelerator might because of the nature of his power holding him together, it would probably be with the world as a casualty.
>>
>>54315675
I think the Andalites actually used it to put on plays and performances and stuff. It's just the only thing Elfangor had on hand to try to help. That the Ellimist set the whole thing up should show you that you stand a chance with it, so long as, like others have said, you fight smart, not strong.

>>54315487
>And Space Satan was driven out of his home galaxy by someone more powerful.

Remember that at that point Crayak wasn't Space Satan, he was just a living planet robot ship thing.
>>
>>54315814
>because the only demonstrated example of a Level 6 Shift attempt would have collapsed into a Dwarf Star after only a few percent of the way towards the goal
Not true. Actual quote from the wiki
>Kihara Gensei later comments that Accelerator is the only one who can achieve Level 6 and remain stable. As he explains to Misaki, his forced attempt in creating a level 6 involves sending Mikoto's power out of control. At 53% of the theoretical limit her mind would transform into something from a different dimension, and at 100% her mind and body would be destroyed having exceeded their limit. In the brief moment of reaching that transcended state she would melt down either like the compression of a white dwarf or an exploding supernova, the resulting effect whatever it be would completely annihilate Academy City. Despite the fact that he would die in this result, he believed that some form of progress would come from it.
>>
>>54315355
>seven foot tall lizardman covered in blades
>twenty foot-long centipede
>fire-breathing space hydra

that sounds just like the aliens giving the animorphs ammuntion in terms what they can morph into.
What's keeping me from simply aquiring this DNA, increase the morphs various strenghts 10 fold with extreme morophing and chimera morph it all together to become Über-alien?

With the exception of the space God/Devil stuff this seems rather beatable with all the perks in the jump.
>>
>>54315926
Nothing except alien space ships with laser canons.

The only reason they dont glass most of earth from orbit is they want as many human slaves as possible and therefore are being sneaky aliens.

>>

...did Crowley breed the Kiharas from only the finest mad scientist pedigrees or were they always like that?
>>
>>54315957
At least don't piss the aliens off before the Andalites arrive and start working with humans. At the point, go for the throat. I found this quote on Tumblr while looking for that twitter post. It should become a mantra of sorts.

>“People don’t understand the word ruthless. They think it means ‘mean.’ It’s not about being mean. It’s about seeing the bright, clear line that leads from A to B. The line that goes from motive to means. Beginning to end. It’s about seeing that bright, clear line and not caring about anything but the beautiful fact that you can see the solution. Not caring about anything else but the perfection of it.”

>- Marco, Book #30: The Reunion, pg. 71 (by K.A. Applegate)
>>
>>54315957
Pretty much.

Despite being ostensibly low power, and fully survivable as an early jump, Animorphs is definitely a setting to play it safe in early game.
>>
>>54315959
You know what's even more fucked? It seems like they've found a way to avoid Crowley's surveillance and go behind his back. As far as anyone can tell, none of that bullshit was part of his plans, he doesn't even know it happened. Crowley, planner and schemer extraordinaire, mimetic Keikaku master.

In setting it requires you to make a stop in the other side of the portal first.

So if you want to go to dc but you are in texas you have to hop over to the other world and open a portal to dc from there.

Portomancy is super useful in other ways though as well because its basically a cut anything blade when you get good with it.

Basically, each prompt gives you points to buy abilities and gear, then drops you into a fictional universe for ten years. Once that's done, you get to go to another fictional universe and repeat the process. Some people write about what they do in each place they visit, but it's not strictly necessary.

The one who uses it in setting does exactly that, when she escapes she just walks i to the jungle melting (rotting) literally everything in her path. Though its more like most things rot into slime.

2. They are only a bit more durable than the rock that forms There "core"

Imagine the Gems in Steven Universe as basically being living lantern rings that identify as women only they're mass produced and not as powerful. They have hard light bodies with similar color pallets as their gem projected from their gem core, have minor shapeshifting because of this, can make various constructs via the same means (normally just the stuff they're familiar with, like a weapon or simple minded clones) and usually have some form of ability based on the type of Gem they are.

Rubies apparently do stuff with fire, Sapphires do stuff with cold and so on. Higher quality gems are usually bigger, stronger and higher ranked in their society. (Not sure how the system works entirely, but Diamonds are at the top, gigantic and super strong.)

Gems also have the ability to fuse, combining into a new form with different abilities that's usually way stronger than the old one. Ruby + Sapphire = Garnet, a being who instead of fire or cold powers is much more physically powerful and has limited precog. The stability of the fusion is based on the compatibility of the gems and such.

Anyways, I only watched a bit at the beginning and things apparently progressed a bunch so I don't know the full story. My best bet in telling you what you could do is basically "Whatever the gem can already do, plus some unique ability based on the gem." since that seems to be the general scheme to things.

Gem powers and specializations are divided by caste. Sapphires are clairvoyant, Peridots are engineers, Bismuths are smiths, Pearls look pretty. But there isn't some all encompassing class designation system for them other than "This Gem = This Power". You don't, like, start seeing more high intellects in gems that are more prone to oxidation or anything.
There's some stuff about "gem mysticism", not in the show, but in real life, like garnets are supposed to represent unity and peridots enhance the mind, which are things real people believe and buy rocks for, and Steven Universe takes inspiration from that, but it plays pretty fast and loose with it. There's no big book of gemsona rules or anything like that. So.

If you import anything as your gem, your best bet for how that works is, "Now the powers of this gem are my powers, because it is my body/heart while in this altform." And that's it.
So, the Hogyoku. It causes evolution, right? That's probably your power. You may or may not have complete control over it, because the Hogyoku seemed pretty lax on direction even when Aizen had it, but that's basically up to fanwank.
You could maybe spin that as being like when Aizen imbedded the Hogyoku inside of himself, too, which gave him massive powerups and eventually bit him in the ass, but that is also fanwank. There aren't any rules for this in Steven Universe.

This is all pretty basic stuff you probably could have figured out yourself, hence why anon is so salty.

Speaking from experience, like 95% of it is pure fucking garbage with bash fics, crack pairings, mary sues, terrible grammar and trash plots galore. The other 5% is a mixed bag of okay, one shots, eternally unfinished stories and a small minority of legitimately of good stuff. That's basically fanfiction as a whole though, not really anything to do with Naruto as a series.

Good news and bad news though. Good news is that since Naruto was a starter anime and wildly popular there's fucking loads of stories meaning there's a decent sized pocket of okay to good stuff in that 5%. Bad news is that there's so much fucking garbage to sift through to find it since there are so many stories.

Broken Dreams -600: Those broken dreams of your own might be able to be saved. You see you're lucky in your aspiration which you should choose now, I wouldn't even just call it luck, I'd call it plot armor. If it relates to your aspiration, you will always be able to complete it unless their are good odds against you. Be warned however that if it isn't related to your aspiration, this luck doesn't even apply. The aspiration has to be possible though thing such as "make America great again" to even "make the best gun in-universe" are possible aspirations though no "rule the world", you'll have the best luck to complete it which is saying something. Be warned however that this perk only covers one aspiration and can only be purchased once, when your aspiration is completed you cannot change it no matter what.

So, I've seem some things about jailbreaking shards in the thread an elsewhere before, and I've been looking stuff up about Worm to figure out what this is about, and I can't seem to find any information on what 'jailbreaking' a shard actually means or how it's supposedly done.
>>
>>54316841
It's from what I can tell just shorthand for people planning to break into the dimension the shard exists in and removing it.
>>
>>54316841
It's bringing out the true power of a shard via physical augmentation, and it's how Taytay goes Khepri. Side-effect of seeing everything through the lens of your shards conflict driven intelligence presumably not included.

>through

>>
>>54316825
Don't sell yourself short, I think this could be a pretty good jump if you kept working on it.
>>
>>54316841
In canon it happens, I think, twice? Maybe just the once. They get a cape to fuck around with the shards connection to the host. It takes away the shards safeties and makes it more powerful, but totally fucks over the mind of the person it is done to. It was how they saved the day, and how they almost made a monster almost as bad as the one they were fighting.

My memories may be more poetic than what actually happened, shit got bad is what I'm saying.

Since we don't have shards I don't think we can do it... or was that we don't have shards post jump?
>>
>>54316825
>2. I shouldn't have tried something so hard for my first jump but I really wanted to make a good jump. I guess that goes to show I'm useless...

where the hell are you getting that idea?! no one is saying that! You're doing very good for a first jump, it just needs some balancing and your format is a little ambitious.

>3. Sorry, it's sort of my language. I'll try and tone it down, I'm just a fatalistic person or just really lacking vocabulary.'

it's not the vocabulary that's the problem. It's what the vocabulary implies, try and think like a lawyer. and avoid absolutes because absolutes set a very high power level

>I don't know what to say. I'll try your advice but sometimes I take things too seriously. It's a problem of mine.

If you are having trouble figuring out what to say just say something neutral like "noted will correct" but remember we get a lot of samefags and the thread is never going to agree 100% on a jump so don't try and make everyone happy . Just try and make the most people happy, and don't be afraid to ask IRC for help They are mostly decent folks when it comes to the sort of thing, but you need to have a bit thicker skin for jump making.
>>
>>54316841
Jailbreaking a shard is basically altering its connection to the person who uses it, changing the way that person's powers work in some way. The main method is by changing the shape of the Corona Pollentia, which is a part of the brain in parahumans that the shard interfaces with. There are some severe side effects though, as >>54316870 mentions.

>>54316870
I believe it's post-jump that the shard is removed, and your powers become innate to you.

The amount of work you've done is good. Take the feedback, refine what you've got. Don't be too quick to throw things out entirely.

This is weirdly vague. What does this imply? How does it work, how is it done, how do people even know how to do it? There's very little information on this topic anywhere I've looked. How does it work for people with fucked up biology's like Crawler, or just regeneration in general?

>>54316890
From what I've read through the archives, you aren't allowed to do it to your own shard, but I've plans to do it for other people.
>>
>>54316922
>2. Thank you, I'm just really bad.

nope, You're pretty wrong There you're making a Decent first showing,it's just going to take a bit of work to polish it up.

>3. Avoid absolutes, I know that now.

yeah, use things like "massive boost" or "10 fold increase" ,that kind of thing rather than things like " always ", " perfect" etc.

>I'm just afraid of disappointing people, I'll try to have thicker skin. I just really care.

it's good to care, but you have to be careful how much you care, I don't want you getting hurt.

>>54316938
Well, Panacea did something to her brain that affected her connection to her shard. Her shard started taking over her brain and Panacea couldn't figure out how to fix it. Power-wise Taylor traded range for the power to affect humans, which she used to take control of the Clairvoyant and the Doormaker. The Doormaker let her control every other Parahuman that wasn't too much hassle or her friend by extending her range.
>>
>>54316979
So, it's not actually delimiting the power of the shard in anyway, it's just altering the manifestation of it?

>>
>>54316998
Powers are limited by the Shards for a few reasons. The shard may just want to check on new ways to use the power, the powers can be dangerous to the user if unchecked, the powers are shaped partially by the user when they manifest, etc. One possible use for jailbreaking a shard may be to remove the limits on it, you just have to figure out how to get the big dumb biological supercomputer to do what you want.

Panacea just didn't have much experience in working with brains or shards in the first place. Those were her big no-nos, and the second time she worked on a brain she accidentally mind-raped her adoptive sister.

>>
>>54316938

>>54317096
Yeah, I remember reading a post by Wildbro that Jailbroken shards have variable ways they can manifest their effects, but that in general they work like how they would if were being used by the actual Entities they belong to. Stuff like how Grue would get planet wide range and the darkness he generated would never go away, alongside the ability to selectively share abilities of everyone inside his darkness.
>>
>>54317063
>Is "upgrades" from futurama at the same level as "technovore" from the avengers: earths mightiest heroes?

I'd say it's even better since it doesn't include the restriction form technovore, where the technology integrated has to be smaller than yourself and the use of the integrating technology is draining
>>

If you had some absurdly potent analysis or luck skills, you could maybe do the following:
-Enter the jump without buying a power
-Get in contact with Cauldron
-By luck or skill, locate the portion of Eden's corpse that contains the harvester shard
-(By harvester shard, I mean Eden's equivalent of Glaistig Uaine's shard)
-Turn that part into a Cauldron Vial and chug it
-Go around draining people's shards from them, taking them for yourself

Sacrificial Bestowment is way easier, though, and runs no risk of weird mutations from the Cauldron vial.

Jump 2: Crypt of the Necrodancer

“They told me I wasn’t ready. They told me I needed more experience. I told them to drop dead! How ironic.”

The young woman toyed with her single glass of wine as if it was her fourth, sipping at it slowly and already going red in the face. She giggled, hiccuped, then grew serious again. The rest of the tavern was ignoring us. Pointedly. As if this wasn’t the first time they had heard that story and they all knew it wouldn’t be the last.

But for me it was the first and I knew it was important. After all, the void had dropped me into this tavern and my stone had whispered that she was the key to finding the next notes. I had ordered an ale that I refused to touch and waited for an opportunity to speak to the young woman by the name of Cadence.

As it turned out, I hadn’t needed one. She launched into the tale of the tomb below the graveyard of her own accord and even spoke of the golden lute she returned with. A villain defeated and a quest completed with a mother brought back to life in the bargain. But, of course, that was not the end of it else she wouldn’t have been sitting there distracting herself.

Cadence spoke of the tune that haunted her dreams that had even followed her into the waking world. She had felt the Necrodancer’s thrumming in her bones. Even now, in the tavern humming with voices and music from the bard in the corner, she could hear it drifting in from the graveyard outside of town. I left her sitting there, five gold coins on the bar for the tavern keeper to ensure that nothing untoward happened to her.

I pulled my red hat lower on my head as I walked. It was starting to drizzle. Thunder rumbled in a steady rhythm along the edge of the storm. At least, I hoped that was what the booming sound was. But of course it wasn’t, or else this would have been a very short or wildly different story.

[1/3] Unless people want me to spam a little.

>>54317259
The beat had already ensnared me by the time I thought to turn back until morning. The rain was coming down harder, but I couldn’t get my legs to obey my orders. Step by muddy step they trotted towards the set of stairs leading down into the ground of the graveyard. Someone had recently uncovered them. They were clean and only now was mud beginning to dribble down onto the steps.

Panic set in as I realized there was no going back, no stopping this. I tried away, casting spell after spell in the hopes of breaking the foul enchantment on my body. None of it slowed my steps one bit. As my foot landed on the first step I wondered if chopping off my own legs would end this curse.

Then I was underground, stone walls holding back the mud and bodies in the soil as the infernal music grew ever louder. The beat thrummed in my bones, battered my ears, and slammed itself against my consciousness. My vision swam from the sheer pressure of the sound. I passed out somewhere after the fifteenth step.

When I awoke at some point later the music had died down to that of an enthusiastic, but drunk, fan at three in the morning. I found my legs had returned to my own control again and slowly pulled myself to my feet. My heart pounded in my chest and I tried to calm it with long, deep breaths. And while that eased my nerves it did nothing to halt the irregular rhythm of my heart.

That’s when I realized it was beating in time with the music. I smiled grimly at that. Helen had always joked that I had no music in my soul. If only it hadn’t cost me my heart in the deal.

The stone was whispering to me but I could barely hear it over the music. It told me the basics of the enchantment that had snared me. That everything was bound to the music, bound to the Necrodancer waiting at the bottom of the crypt, even me, even my body. I asked it for a few dance lessons to make my job a little easier. The stone remained silent.

I don't think there is one if only because you're always going to get someone who doesn't care about tone or makes a Jump to spite someone or a character within it or is such a fan they'll make it a Jump even if it's unadvisable. We had one guy a while back explicitly trying to make a Jump because he hated a character inside of it. Twilight got made into a Jump explicitly to have it be the butt of jokes.

My biggest proof for this is Death Note. Death Note of all things was made into a Jump. There are only two possible reasons to make or visit that Jump. Either you want a Death Note, or you want to ruin the plot.

So I staggered my way down the hallways and out into the main room. Stairs leading down in the center and doors on all sides. Only was showed any signs of life. I went for it and was grateful to find someone in side.

Hephaestus was a large, shirtless, Greek man who could have easily been mistaken for a bear. But he smiled and pointed towards the chest in the corner. There were a few items I could take, though after looking me over he had to admit most of what was in there would do me little good. Still, I snagged the dagger and strapped it to my belt opposite my Runeblade. You never knew when a second blade could come in handy.

The Greek asked me to see if I could find the others trapped in the dungeons below. They would help me prepare for the final assault on the Necrodancer himself. I asked if he know why, if Cadence had defeated him already, he still remained. Hephaestus just shrugged and returned his attention to the forge. That was when I realized he was hammering nothing but air.

I made for the stairs as a chill crawled down my spine.

It was in this foul, rhythmic dungeon that I learned just how many ways death has to take what it desires. I was taken down in inched by bites and scratches from a dozen foes. I fell suddenly with a black, boney hand reaching into my chest. I screamed as I died from fire scorching my nerves. I whimpered as my enemies closed in with my feet frozen to the foor. I flailed against the enchantment as a bomb’s wick burned down next to me.

>What powers are you looking at jailbreaking?
The main powers I want are Gavel(Never take more than a certain amount of damage from any given attack) and Alabaster's(Reset to full health every 4.3 seconds) powers, although I have no real idea what they'd look like Jailbroken, I would hope to be able to disable their effects at will so I could make meaningful change to my body.

At some point my mind started blanking out the deaths. I would be making my way down the floors and suddenly be back in the hub. I rescued a few people in this state, apparently freeing them even at the cost of my own life. Which they considered noble but I knew was simply madness taking hold.

I had the vague sense that time was passing, but only because the scroll case filled itself for me several times. Without windows, sunlight, or clocks it was almost impossible to tell how long I spent in this place. At some point I realized each of the doors surrounding the Hub contained a rescued person who were offering me tips, training, and even items to take down into the dungeon with me.

That thought allowed me to collect myself a little again. I was making progress. Each extra step I took downwards involved pain, but slowly I was getting close to the Necrodancer himself. Coral Riff, Death Metal, King Conga, even Deep Blues started to become mere speed bumps to my progress. Dead Ringer was a no show, no matter how many times I entered his arena. I was too thankful at this lack of an opponent to question it deeply.

Finally, I was standing there, staring into the ghastly undead face of the Necrodancer himself. But if he was expecting fear there was little to be had in my eyes. Anger, deep and seething and burning, had taken that emotion’s place. I hated this place. Hated the Necrodancer. Hated the monsters I had been forced to slice through again and again and again. Hated even the Shopkeepers who took my coins and cared little for my suffering.

And then the music stopped. My heart froze in my chest. The Necrodancer grinned at me and looked fondly over at his Golden Lute.

“Do you know…” His voice was a rasp that only someone with rotting vocal cords could manage. He paused after every few words as if needing to gather strength for the next. “... truly know… how long you have… been under my spell?”
>>
>>54317346
“Long enough.” I snarled. I tried to move, to charge, to sink my Runeblade into his chest. The blade was especially well suited for the task and it all but hungered in my hand.

“It’s been… a year… Almost… exactly a year.” The Necrodancer seemed to take particular pleasure in that fact. I tried to review the time in my mind but it had all blurred into a haze of pain and combat. “Less than… you spent… with her.”

If my heart hadn’t already been stopped, it would have skipped a beat.

“The heart… reveals… so much.” He giggled disturbingly like a young lady who had never once made such a noise. “Tell me… why didn’t… you take her?”

“Why do you care? What’s it to you?” I demanded. The Necrodancer responded by producing a heart, red and still and slowly leaking blood. He gave it a squeeze and I felt pain explode in my chest.

“Why? Why turn… down true… affection? Family?” There was a note of something in that graveyard voice. A softening. An emotion. I wondered which it could be.

“Because…” What could I say besides the truth? “I was too scared to ask.”

The Necrodancer seemed like he would start laughing at that. I wanted to laugh at myself. But instead a screech ripped forth from his lips. The Golden Lute sang a single note. Both of us turned to look at it. The ghostly figure of a grey-haired woman held it in her hands. She said nothing, sadness and tears filling her eyes. Then her fingers moved. The song of the dungeon began again, but this time in a major key, hopeful and strong.

He dove for her, but my heart was beating again, the beating rhythmic and normal for the first time in ages. It made me feel like I was born yesterday, like I’d never been broken. I was across the room and on the stage in a flash. My rune-carved sword found its way between the spirit and the Necrodancer. Fingers scattered and he cursed fit to flay skin from bone. My sword struck out again before he had time to finish the spell on his lips.

A glancing blow to his shoulder turned into an arm dropping to the floor. Blood, black and thick, oozed from the wound to stain his robe. My heart rolled across the floor. I ignored it and struck the killing blow. I barely even felt the impact as the blade pierced his skull and slipped out the back.

The Necrodancer was laughing even as a quarter of his skull slid to the floor.

“You’ll never… resist the urge… to use the… Lute’s power. And so… long as it… exists… so… do… I.” The words grew fainter as the light died out in his eyes, but the laughter continued to issue from the dried throat for long minutes after. I waiting for the last whispers of it to die away. Then I knelt and picked up my heart.

It beat steadily in my hand and felt decidedly odd. I looked over to the spirit, who said nothing but beckoned me over. I obeyed. It stopped playing the Lute, but the tune continued onwards. From this close I recognized familiar features in the face. The nose was different, but there was too many similarities for it to be coincidence.

She took my heart in her hands and gazed at it for a long moment. I wondered what she was looking for. She did not illuminate me. Instead she pressed the heart against my chest, pushing both it and her hands through my armor as if they did not exist. I felt cold fingers fidgeting around behind my ribs. Then, warmth as blood began to flow again. For the first time in a long time it beat to its own rhythm.

“The Golden Lute is yours.” Her voice was a whisper, but pure and lovely to the ear. “What will you do with it, traveller?” The spirit withdrew her hands and smiled sadly at me. She seemed to know the answer already.

I stared at the instrument.

It was a font of incredible magical power, capable of capturing souls and resurrecting the dead over and over again so long as it was played. But there were other uses to the magically creative. Just because I did not know what they were at that moment did not mean I was unable to sense the potential. There was no telling what I could do with such an instrument farther down the road.

So I picked up the instrument. It went silent. The whole tomb held its breath.

“How do I destroy it?” I asked the ghostly grandmother. Her eyes were wide, whites so large they make the color in her eyes look it was about to be swallowed. There was hope in her voice as she directed me back up the stairs and told me about a secret shrine on the first floor. Only there could it be smashed and remain truly so.

All I had to do was get it there with every hound of hell in the dungeon nipping at my heels. While playing the Lute the entire time. I didn’t ask why. I had already learned the golden rule of magic long again. It’s Magic, I ain’t gotta explain shit. So the saying goes and every step along this road continues to prove it true.

I placed my fingers to the strings experimentally. I had no idea how to play an instrument, but I didn’t have to. The magic took over. My fingers flew over the strings like a seasoned professional. I looked up, but the spirit had already departed. Whatever had bound her to this place and given her the power to interfere seemed to have faded. I wondered why and knew I would likely never get a real answer.

So I climbed the stairs and the monsters dove towards me, eager to reclaim the Lute for their master. Instead of wielding my sword I sang a sad little tune punctuated with blasts of fire, ice, and electricity that blasted them aside. Had I not been half-mad and violently enchanted on the way down, I would not have suffered nearly so much. But then, that was the point.

The altar was a plain affair, stone with a few carvings inset with gold in the shapes of lutes. Hardly subtle but it fit this world down to the ground. I paused there, considering, glancing over to the exit. So much power. And all I had to do to keep it was walk up those stairs. Out into the world and into the next. No one would ever be able to find me.

And the Necrodancer would plague this world until the end of all things.

The Lute made a satisfying crunch as I slammed it against the altar. Strings snapped with discordant twangs. On the second blow the neck broke in half, the two pieces hanging limply by the single string determined to hold the instrument together. I laid it on the slab and set it aflame.

The stone beneath my feet shivered and shook like a wet dog getting ready to shake. I ran for the stairs. I almost didn’t made it as stones began to collapse down into the earth. Up in the hub, only Hephaestus refused to leave his forge behind. I argued with him for a moment, but the floor slipped under my feet again. The fool was still banging on nothing as I left him there. Poor bastard.

We made it out with bare seconds to spare. I was the last of us alongside Merlin, who had twisted an ankle in the rush. I had all but carried her the last few hundred yards. The dungeon collapsed in on itself, dragging the graveyard down with it. Within moments, there was nothing but a sinkhole where it had all been.

Cadence was among the villagers who rushed the short distance to see for themselves what one fool had already run through the town screaming. The Crypt of destroyed, the graveyard taken as collateral damage, and survivors had surfaced. She stared at me as if seeing the dead come back to life. Fitting irony.

I smiled, which did not feel the same as the one I had used a year before, and released my hold on Merlin. I made my way through the crowd towards the blonde. I wanted to tell her I had finished what she had started. That her grandmother’s spirit was now free. A hundred small details sprung to my mind that needed to be shared with someone, anyone, that would understand.

One step, two steps, three, four, and I was falling again. I grasped for the edges of the world, but they slipped away before I could do more than flail. Inky blackness enfolded me. The stone in my pocket sang two new notes to me. They sounded bitter and out of tune to my ears. But then, I wasn’t in the mood for music anymore.

SCUs would be fairly easy and Tier 3 engineers would only be moderately more difficult than SCUs at worst. Lower Tier engineers would be very difficult, but not impossible.

As a note, the conversion ray relies primarily on proto-crafter tech to function. This is also your range of the conversion ray. As the notes state "proto-crafter beams (the beams used for construction, capturing, and gathering mass from dead units) gain 10 kilometers of length for every kilometer of the ship's length"

Someone else here read that?! Nice! Pity I only skimread My Ishmael, and never got round to reading the book where some guy is hunting the Antichrist.

Yeah, a lot of 90s-early 00s literature is just too all over the place for the jump format, I think. That and pretty much anything by Yann Martell, Haruki Murakami, The Iron Giant (and The Iron Woman of course), Oryx and Crake (and it's sequels), and Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell probably wouldn't work either.

Shame there's no Dark Tower, The First Law series (and spinoffs) or Chaos Walking trilogy jump, though.

He has blanket immunity to all damage below a certain level and an ass load of defensive buffs, nothing in worm could so much as scratch him. Moreover, he'd be able to kill literally everyone in the setting including Scion through scry and die with instant death magic, nothing would be capable of resisting it because Worm is a deterministic universe.

The minimum for stable low earth orbit is 160KM, below that the orbit will rapidly decay until you inevitably crash. True you could avoid this with the ship's thrusters but that is energy that could be spent on building war bots to throw at the planet.

And there was a LOT I was planning to get done in Azeroth in the first place. I remember one was basically "you travel to the bad future where the Old Gods win", so the fight description for that ALONE is probably going on for 2 posts.

My harry potter story just to fuck with anon who hates stories

Dobby relished his groinsaw's roar as he withdrew the flesh-choked blade from the astronaut's ruined skull. He turned to Harry, thrusting his bloody, retina-covered pelvis with elfin fervor.

"How does Ronnie Ron taste, master?"

Harry spat out an eyeball. "Like some kid with eyes."

Dobby ducked an astronaut's poison barbed fist, digging his groinsaw into the beast's abdomen and letting the spray of viscera wash over his elfin space armor. The skulls' eye sockets on his shoulders grew brilliant with an infernal cast and vomited a bolt of light through an astronaut; he was thrown back against the deathwall, his flesh boiling in another dimension.

Harry slapped Dobby, who giggled.

Harry reminded himself to kill himself later.

"Master, look out!"

Dobby's groinsaw screamed as it flew off the armor, rocketing through the air like an early dream of mankind. It flew through three astronauts who dropped their hellspears as the saw cut a hole in the ground beneath them so they fell to hell forever.

Now, Dobby."

Dobby knelt before his master.

Harry withdrew his guitar, Fuckslayer, from a dimension where all screamed for naught.

Wrought from the silver heart of heaven's false promise, laced with vessels that pulsed with angel's menstrual blood, hewn from the horns of Satan's generals, it laughed as it was set loose, a laugh that only Harry could hear, but no one could share.

Harry swung the guitar through Dobby's chicken neck. He took the head of his fallen dwarfslave and tore open his stomach, stuffing the head inside. Harry vomited steam and summoned a great meteor from space to smash into Hogwarts and kill everyone there, for no reason at all. A vision then appeared. It was Dumbledore, entombed in his cursed mummy armor, calling Harry from his Moonbase which wasn't on a moon.

"Harry, you must rock the fuck out."

Harry channeled his rage through Fuckslayer. The angel blood boiled as he summoned the great meteor, swathed with the blood of the tiny fucklings at Hogwarts, leapt onto it, and flew into space. He encased the entire meteor in a wreath of holy fuckfire and flew through Mercury, killing the fuck out of it. Then he sent Mercury's carcass into Venus, killing the fuck out of it and making every vagina in the galaxy explode, and inside every vagina a booby sang of mortal life's fleeting precipice.

Harry then did fly his meteor through space, punching astral vampires in half with his fists encased in fuckfire and throwing their ruined heads into the past where they bit cavemen on mars so that history changed and now there are vampire cavemen on mars. Harry received another vision from Frumblegore, who was having tea and chumpits with the president of Pangea.

"Care to have tea, Harry?"

"You know how I hate chumpits."

Harry slammed his book shut. It wasn't really a book, because the pages were made of lasers and the words were made of headless women making godless love to dragons made out of motorcycles, but it was still reading.

"Gumbledorp, if you don't stop, we'll starve, and no one will be around to kill everyone in the universe if we get around to bringing everyone back to life after we killed them."

"I am no longer Scrumblegort."

The ancient man dropped some of the planets he was juggling.

"The worlds have shifted. I am Dumblecop, of the Darkmeal."

He flexed one of his legs, which was made of pistols, and kicked a planet in half.

"Bugger your Darkmeal, faggart of a thousand suns."

Dumblecop sniffed.

"And what of it? Is it a sin, should a man feel like faggarting a sun or a thousand? Why should the suns heave through the void, if not to be skewer't bypon ourn fagpoles?"

Harry cast a glance at the book. Unsavory sounds emanated from a particularly damned chapter. He was hungry. He looked at a nearby cup. It had a faded brown film on the bottom. He thought about chumpits

Harry had found some food. It was guarded by three and a million thousandsurf ninjas, for it was the last food on Surf Ninja Moon X. The ecology had been decimated by surf ninjas, so the last food was a cabbage and mustard sandwich. Harry squatted in the ruins of a castle which had been many skulls arranged to resemble one large one. It had been poorly done, with the cheeks fading into an amateurishly executed jaw line. The silent killers of the night had negated their innate advantage by only plying their craft on surf boards. During the day.

Harry was about to eat his cabbagewich when a man in a tuxedo appeared from behind nothing much. He stood ten feet tall and his head seemed wrapped in unwrappable darkness.

"I am Rape Radbury. I write critically acclaimed fiction that always turns into fact. That's why I have more money than anyone."

Harry dug a bit of cartilage out of the cabbagewich and continued chewing.

"Would you care to discuss one of my books? I hear that my..."

Harry fished out another bit of cartilage. It was a cartilage and mustard sandwich.

"You shouldn't believe what everyone says about me. I took a shower with my cousin, once. And I have racist thoughts."

A nibbet of yellow cartilage landed on Rape's shoe. He thought about his cousin.

The inquisitors were torturing Harry.

First, Ignatius used the rock.

Then Billy asked Harry if he wanted to read his BDSM blog. Harry was so surprised that his pants flew right off. He was wearing women's underpants.

The inquisitors were wearing them, too.

They realized that they were all men of the lord.

Harry awoke to the throaty grumble of a rape ape.

Not a rape ape, but the rape ape, the last of his kind after the subjugation of the rapeforest. His people once graced the canopy, their penile digits proudly grasping the vines as they swung through the night, their hundreds of sweaty simian dongs trailing a now-fetid memory in the rape ape's watering eye. As his ocular ducts began to well with ancestral pride, so too did the countless meaty members sprouting from the rape ape's every hairy inch. From his eye sockets, ear holes, even his calloused toes, a penile font of cry-juice birthed a deluge.

Harry observed this with consternation, as he was tied to a table. Neither magic nor supracosmic strength would free him from his bonds. Had this creature access to an unknown material of deistic strength? Or did the rape ape have a secret yet more baffling?

Harry squinted so he could see the subatomic strings of the ropes. He began tossing antimatter at them with his mind as a group of children entered the rape ape's hiding place. They were well-groomed and impeccably attired, and there were 5.8 of them, just enough to represent an array of genders and races that would leave no one unhappy, save for the Eskimos. They were on their own, as far as the rape ape was concerned.

"Why do you cry, rape ape?" asked child 3.2.

The rape ape, unwilling to hide its greasy primate cock tears, hung its head, and gravity coaxed the eye wangers downward. It tied them together into a bow atop its head, to be pretty for its guests.

"We are bound in this ligature of lingam, brother rape ape," said child 4.6.

The children surrounded rape ape, holding their hands, and began to sing. Harry was transfixed as he watched the children, gently swaying with the song, float skyward. The little ones began to orbit the rape ape, who was convulsing as though stricken by the seizure devil. As the song increased in tempo the childflesh bubbled and merged into a spinning wonder turbine. The fleshy kidmass sprouted hair and groin dribblers just like the rape ape, and sprayed confetti into skies of past and future, setting the constellations aflame with the opalescent of the perished rape apes. An explosion of color and hair left Harry Potter alone and still bound. He thought about sandwiches.

Harry Potter awoke in a pit that reeked of hot sauce. He could feel viscous fluid under his fingernails, burning the tender skin. Everywhere were white bags bulging with foul product. They were diapers stuffed with chicken bones and hot sauce, their foul odor blossoming in the muffled dark. Harry's nostrils begged his brain for mercy. He flew upwards, away from the saucy mysteries below. The smell grew faint, calling him to return. Harry ignored their lies, flying beyond the lips of his prison. He was in a laboratory, with machines that had no purpose beyond blinking lights and soft hums.

"Hello, my boy son! You make a father so good!"

Harry had flown out of the nose of an old man. This man wore a white coat, yet was drawn by the hand of an idiot. His voice came not from his mouth, but from elsewhere, a sad attempt at humanity.

"I know you'll do so well! Now you choose!

The man reached into his coat and laid out three diapers, each brimming with the spicy bones of the nose prison. He removed his head and stuck it on a spike on the counter, to keep it from rolling away. The diapers began to stir as creatures clawed out of bony wombs. Arrayed before Harry was a turtle, the reptilian body so frail that it seemed an afterthought to the shell, a bald weasel with toothpicks for legs, and a wrinkled thumb in a glass of water. The old man's head called out from the spike.

"Everyone has one! Make your best friends for life!"

Harry drank the glass of thumb water and spat the thumb at the old man's head.

Severus Snapplebottom began his life as a hand on which were perched each of the five first presidents of a country called America. The first two presidents, Geheb and Swonash, were turned into ashes by a passing wave of fast food regulation. Their ashes were consumed by children in various Wendy's establishments. Each plastic packet was a coffin for their memory, and no one knew their name, even though they were listed on the ingredient list. These children became soldiers in wars fought for control of who had all the bullets. Whoever shot the most bullets the fastest won.

The third president, Wahooley, went to a country that was nothing but a desert with half buried turkeys. Sometimes turkey butts were above the sand, sometimes a leg, or a head. Wahooley tripped and fell into a turkey head, where he was eaten and ordained as a rabbi. He was sent to trim the beards of 157 toads, whose beards were absorbing the water that was used for the next year's crop of shovels. Without these shovels, the peasants would be unable to shovel the ashes of their children from the bullet wars. Wahooley took these beards and formed a lasso. This lasso was a ropey wonder. He used it to tear off his penis and write the 13 commandments of America upon a passing eagle, in cock's blood:

1: You are stupid.

2: Baby, someone cut off my dick and wrote an America with it.

3: If a whale tries to sell you a pumpkin, don't.

4: Your head is an artifice. Throw it away, but don't let anyone see you do it or you'll be kicked out of school.

5: Always collect a ghost's shadow if it leaves one behind. It will be worth something someday.

6: Starbucks napkins are hereby the new currency, but only after they are smeared upon the corpse of a mule. The exchange rate will be 13 mules to one napkin.

7: Taxi cabs will be used to build a pyramid with 290 sides. It will be the white house, and the president will live there for 17 years at a time, while you eat your children's ashes on a bun.

8: On Father's day, you will enter an invisible box and be plunged into the ocean. There, you will enter an undersea candy store, but you will never have enough Starbucks napkins to get what you want.

9: It is all spam, all of it. Check the box and delete it. Now delete yourself, for you are spam.
>>
>>54317906
10: All clocks will be inscribed with the entirety of the alphabet to save time. This is the alphabet:

6+7=A

14*12= B

16 - {eleventy two}= President Wahooley

And so on, until you reach the period, which is the end of the alphabet.

11: All previous constitutions were writ by false writers, whose passing eagles were inferior and whose cocks had fewer things in them. Accept only the American cockstitution.

12: Spend your adolescence as a duck, waddling in a circle, until you become an egg full of dust.

13. All time is a knotted ball. You can hide it anywhere in your body, and it is still time.

President number four, whose name was not a name, but a multitude of hot dogs in the shape of swastikas, decided that he would create the Gilded Age. This was a time in which every edge was embossed with a golden trim, like a wedding cake invented by Thomas Edison. All the women wore bonnets made of butter, and were picked up by their feet and spread on toast in the summer. It was all for naught, because this was not the toast of the righteous. It was a feeble toast, one which withered with the coming of the sun. Not even the crows would touch it, preferring the taste of mouldering poop water. But the crows were put in dresses and sold to the highest bidder, where they underwent liposuction.

President five disliked the conservative leanings of his brothers, so he became an infinite two-dimensional grid of pink and green squares. Each square had a vagina upon it. These vaginas each emitted a spear of light, upon which was skewered an endless succession of planets. Each carried a culture dedicated to a single sex act. The further down the skewer the planet was, the more orifices possessed by its denizens, and the more gymnastic their sexual culture. The worlds...

Harry Potter lay, dreaming. In his mind there is a hat, suspended. It comes unhinged, travelling beyond the dream. The hat finds a sunlit hill, studded with flowers and children gorging themselves on chocolate. Chewing faces are smeared with brown residue. Perched atop the hill on its brim, the hat is still. It rolls down the hill, skating between the chocolate-stuffed children. It comes to one child, and stops. Without chocolate, the child stares blankly at its neighbors, filled with emptiness. The hat points its empty bottom at the child and sprays a glittering beam of rainbows. They encircle the child's hands, transforming them into chocolate. Tears of joy streak down the child's smile as it begins eating its hands. The hat flies into the sky. The child waves a brown stump.

The hat ascends to a palace of clouds. Within, God, bearded and weeping, sits beside a mountain of tiny angels. One by one, he picks them up and tears off their wings. He then places them into separate baskets. The hat approaches god, and the rainbow is deployed. It encircles God's crotch. A giant chocolate phallus emerges from God's robes. Dropping his broken angel, he breaks off a piece of his candy member and smears it on his lips. With a chocolate-studded smile, he slowly raises his fist and gives the hat a thumbs-up.

The hat travels into space. It finds itself before the sun. It is a tiny dot before the immensity of the cosmic fire. The hat trembles. A tremendous rainbow issues forth, embracing the sun like a wedding vow. The fire cools and deadens. A chocolate tidal wave roars from its poles and meets at the center. On earth, the skies blacken. The flowers turn to dust. Humanity expires silently, like an infant in its crib. The hat drifts through space, dreamless.

I'm also mulling over if I want to keep the extra life/soul recovery special rules since it clashes a bit with the new format having inhuman origins. It's probably going to stay to try and minimize build disruptions where applicable though.

I haven't touched upon drawbacks yet so if anyone likes to suggest ones they think would be fun or sadistic I'm all ears.

Scion destroys countries causally via his avatar in a single attack, from another dimension. Ainz tanking ability is far bellow that. Also, even if Ainz used TGoaLiD + any instant death in his avatar, it would do nothing to the real Scion.

It should also be said that the Warrior is a collection of Shards of the size of a small planetoid, which might pose a problem to damage it, and the dimension where it resides has lots of counter-measures to prevent someone from walking to it and try to do something with the main body.

Also, you are vastly overestimating Ainz's defenses. His fight with Shalltear affected a large area in a forest, and there are more than a decent chunk of capes capable of such destruction.

I said that Ainz would be number 2 not only for his destruction abilities, but for having such a wide range of abilities. But he is still bellow full powered Eidolon.

>>54317784
Actually not. He only activates it once he feels that he needs it and it protects him from that moment on for a determined duration.

>>54317498
Information is meaningless. Scion can vaporice him with a single shot if he thinks it guarantees enough attention to be eliminate. Also, him using magic to break the laws of physics is probably going to get a lot of attention from the Entity.

Also, why people keep saying 'Ains'.

You did not. You posted someone else's crap fanfic, instead of writing your own crap fanfic. Know the difference.

>>54318408
I can't read what you right, I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

I assume it has something to do with scry and die. Does Ainz have a spell big enough to obliterate a continent? Again, not the guy asking. I don't think his meat well was ever fully measured, I remember some people said it was about the size of the moon but I can't confirm.
>>
>>54318375
>>54318385
That's not how it works. Putting all other arguments aside, an instant death effect applied to Scion's Avatar would kill his real body regardless because they're connected, there isn't actually any degree of separation between them to justify the argument that it only effects the avatar but not the real body.

Yeah, I'll likely include a couple Talismans here and there. I really enjoy that mushroom idea. Perhaps. I'm not sure if the hat and robes would be relevant for any of the current origins but taken into consideration. Giant Dad set likely won't be in as a thing since it's a build as opposed to a thing in world. Skull Lantern is good stuff. Aldia is DS2 and I'm working on DS1 Jump.

Yeah, gonna be bringing that one back for sure.

Silly anon, that's a perk. Kinda.

DS2 thing, sorry.

Good stuff, but I might expand on it.

That was Artorias, but I like the suggestion nonetheless as abyssal corruption is a pretty common bad end for DS1 characters.

Jump's not really working on the timeframe where that would become too relevant.

I think it'd be more fun to inflict Patches on people than having them become him.

What's the reference?

Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, both because it's not super popular and the fact that it would be hard to make a jump for it, as the magic is never really explained. What can it do? What can't it do? I have no fucking clue, but I still love the setting and would like to jump it.

And Manyuu Hikenchou, which I both want, and will never get for obvious reasons.
>>
>>54318432
That would depend on how the avatar works? As has been said, Worm is a deterministic universe with no souls nor magic. The avatar is just a toy piloted from the main body.

Would you get killed if someone blow up your flying drone?

Scions core is a supercomputer the size of a continent/small moon. Scion's meat well goes much deeper then that though, all together his body would be larger then the universe.

...I'm intrigued now, considering gross worms was a drawback in F/SN.

Oh bugger, I was suggesting things for DS2 as well as DS1 which is why I thought of the Old Dragonslayer. Silly me.

I dunno, I feel unless you outright lie in his description and go "this completely trustworthy and charismatic paragon of bonhomie will charitably direct you to the best treasures in all the land!" kicking him in first would be the natural reaction. Up to you, though.

Yung Maestro, Red Paint, OnlyAfro, Limit Breakers' PAIN TRAIN etc.

You taking suggestions for poss. DS3 updates too, or just DS1 before DS2?

>>54318463
Honestly that's fair enough, I'm pretty sure the core bit of Scion is also "a small one" by planetoid standards if it could be obliterated by something built from scratch, by a bunch of Tinkers, in a reasonably short timeframe since he was still up and fighting while it was being built.

>>54318493
Ah, that makes sense.

Not really. Eidolon has demostrated far more exotic abilities and destructive power than Ainz. Ainz is limited to small island's levels of destruction (and that's by using the Over-magic that changes the terrain into something like lava).

Eidolon created a shield that could withstand a bomb capable of wiping out India, create beams that would destroy mountains and was capable of one-shooting Alexandria if needed. Among other things.

They are both Wildcards. In a 1vs1, Ainz would come on top thanks to magic time-stop and insta-kill abilities, but on terms of destructive power or compared to others on Worm, Eidolon would still be top.

This is speaking of full-power Eidolon, who can also access Scion's fuck-you beams.
>>
>>54318480
Anon, it's literally fucking connected to the main fucking body, we know this for a fucking fact. It's a construct/projection from his main body hidden in another dimension, but it's still connected directly to said dimension, as much a part of him as any of his shards are, albeit really tiny in comparison.
>>
>>54318485
For you? No. And with the perk from the jump, you don't even need the souls.

It does prevent them from being resurrected, however, which is a big part of why the Dragonborn is such a big deal. Normally dragons are basically immortal and cannot truly die in that setting, but if the Dragonborn absorbs their soul, they're dead forever.
It's weird because the dragons, who have no concept of final death, find this completely incomprehensible and terrifying, so they go out of their way to try and kill the Dragonborn so as to prevent it from killing them.
>>
>>54318520
Wait, full-power Eidolon has the fuck-you beams? I don't remember that at all; the most destructive thing I remember him having was the matter erasure ability.

No worries dude.

Nah, the Patches Drawback would be like the one in the current Jump. It's less that he's coming up to you and lying outright as it is him always waiting to spring the trap, gloat and get away before you can catch the bastard.

It arguably counts as some form of the Sixth Walking Way (I think that's the one that is Soul Stacking?), meaning that if you absorb enough of them you might move up the metaphysical hierarchy, possibly undergoing Drachochrysalis, and becoming an Aspect of Aka the same way Alduin and Akatosh are.
>>
>>54318560
Long story short, TES metaphysics are sort of like bastardised shintoism or buddhism. So dragons aren't just Akatosh's children, they're teeny aspects of him. Alduin is a very big and assholish chunk going for R&R from his job as the world eater to bully mortals. You are a buffer than average chunk sent to restore balance by chasing him off. Therefore when you kill other dragons you eat their soul, but really you and them used to be the same being.
>>
>>54318551
If the end of Skyrim is any indication, and you are the dragonborn, then an aspect of the God of Time, Akatosh, gets absorbed by another aspect of that same god, which is you, and you stop his evil plot to destroy the world by being the part of his greater self that wants to save it, or at least is pissy enough about your other self being a dick that you force his head into the ground.

Elder Scrolls is weird.
>>
>>54318560
The dragonborn, the dragons, and a bunch of other things are essentially all derived from Akatosh, and by absorbing the dragon souls you become closer to being that singular being. Or something along those lines, it's likely a lot more complicated than I'm making it out to be

>Nobody talks about it but ainz has racial skills he can toggle that make you go permanently insane when you see him.

Not actually. The avatar losing its mind doesn't fucks with the mind of the mind of the Warrior. People trend to forget that you can't actually kill Scion by making him depressed. What they did in canon was make the avatar (with a human-like mind) become depressed enough to shut-off on its own, but just like any other damaged avatar is was on the process of restarting. That's why they needed to impale him to open a gate to the main body and use the Tinker super-weapon to kill him before a new avatar rid of that weakness appeared.

Also, it probably wouldn't do anything to the Entity itself, as it probably lacks the same concept of fear that humans do. Insanity and fear were status effect that only affect things capable of suffering it. Undead (who lack of emotions) were immune to it.

But that's mostly fanwank. The avatar would probably be susceptible to it. The main Entity probably counts as a level 100 by sheer size and destructive power, and as such it would have a chance of saving it at bare minimum and the need of Ainz being close to it do it.

>>54318541
I assumed that they are kinda the same? Scion was forced to dodge it, and we know that he didn't needed to dodge the Siberian's matter erasing ability (which could bypass even Alexandria's invincibility). The only other thing that he ever dodged was the Sting, so I assumed that they were of a similar nature since he ran the fuck out of there when Eidolon started using it.
>>
>>54318598
Self-harm that makes me grow?
>>
>>54318620
Scion definitely isn't. The Warrior might be, since he's spread across like 10^80 parallel universes, but I'm not sure.
>>
>>54318530
That its connected to its dimension doesn't mean that they are the same being. Using a projection in that case would be really pointless, if someone could kill you by killing it.
>>
>>54318586
Oh god, I'm sleepier than I thought. That's what I get for posting through squinty, heavily lidded eyes.

Anyway I'm pretty sure Eidolon does have fuck you beams, just not as good as Scion's ones. But he did make some energy orbs that almost killed Noelle/Echidna, and during the fight with Scion he became a field of living space that ignited the air on contact.
>>
>>54318642
Well, less grow than wake up from a coma but yes.

>>54318640
I'm pretty sure there's no disconnect of consciousness between the avatar and Entity-core. In Eden's vision, wasn't she consciously communicating through her own avatar?
>>
>>54318551
Permanently? Well, theoretically, the Kalpa would just never be reset. Though some other Aspect of Aka might take on the role of the World Eater instead. Or someone might Mantle him.

Of course, if you want to stop Alduin from eating the world, you're also going to want to do something to prevent Numidian from showing up next Era and erasing most of the planet.

>>54318610
You explicitly don't absorb Alduin when you kill him.
>>
>>54318520
Ainz can literally decide to pull out the mass-kill magic and summon hundreds of high level mobs at any time, and can emulate the dimensional slash ability with magic to the extent of spamming it. This is setting aside the fact that you're arguing around the fact that Ainz and everything he does is powered by ~Magic~, so Scion could just as easily BSOD on his appearance, or be killed instantly by Greater Lethal or some other direct damage attack outside physics which would target his whole body.
>>
>>54318541
You know who doesn't get enough credit? Narwhal.

Near the end of the story when Scion is having his fuck you beam tantrum, her forcefields tank the beams solidly after everything they negated well enough to save the lives of hundreds of capes. That's seriously impressive in hindsight.

Background: Drop In
Age & Gender: 1d8 (7) + 22 = 29, Male
Location: America Somewhere
Drawbacks: Suburban Hellhole (+100), Get To Da Choppah (+200)
Perks: One Liner, Bulging Muscles, Don't Look At Explosions, Commando (-100)
Items: Weapon of Choice (An oversized magnum, best fired from the hip with a dramatic flourish. -50), Place in the Mountains (-100), Bandanna (-50)
~~~
The world's gone to hell in a handbasket lately, and criminals lurk behind every corner. Not even the president's safe in times like these, with the secret service either getting picked off, or secretly working with those behind the Iron Curtain. That's why he hired me, Scott Magnum.
First off, I get the President (and his daughter, of course) to a safe location. Just a little place I have, way out in uninhabited land. Should keep them safe for a while. That won't last, of course--too many crooks and soviets crawling out of the woodwork. Once one of them finds us, it's game time.
~~~
Let's talk strategy. What's the worst that could happen?
Well, a gang war could spread from a nearby city into the mountains, and immediately have both sides turn against me in an action-fueled twist. If that happens, I can take out the initial assault with a well-placed firing spread from my trusty magnum. Once that's done, I'll take the fight to them, sweeping them out one gang at a time. (Shouldn't be too difficult--I doubt these hoodlums even know how to handle those guns of theirs.) Then we'll have to abandon the safe house. Thankfully, I've got this other little place, way out in uninhabited land, which should keep them safe for a while.
(1/2)
>>
>>54318855
I like dauntless myself. His power is neat.
>>
>>54318888 (Nice quads)
Or, maybe the infamous Heinrich S. Ocialism finds us, and tries to kill the president, thereby becoming the new president by highlander law, in order to institute a communist rule throughout the entirety of America Somewhere. That's a bit trickier. His sickle-wielding shock troops need just one bullet apiece, but his helicopter assault tactics would be a real problem. I'd have to lure the helicopter in close enough to take down the pilot with a well-placed shot. Then, I'd have to go mano a mano with Heinrich himself after he parachutes out, which would be doable but not easy. After all that, we'd have to abandon that hideaway. I have another little place we can go, way out in uninhabited land. It should keep us safe for a while.
Maybe Doktor Von Nukular is constructing a super-weapon, and just needs the secrets contained in the president's daughter's necklace to begin the apocalypse. Thankfully, his robotic goons can't handle the stopping power of mankind's finest fifty-caliber rounds. Once they fail to capture him, he'll have to send his titanic Mega-Drone. After evading its hail of opening fire, a well-placed shot should be able to nail its self-destruct switch, causing it to explode in a massive fireball. The Doktor, sitting in its cockpit, would be immolated; but despite my proximity to the blast, I should get out unscathed. Once that's wrapped up, we'll of course have to abandon the location, but I've got another one blah blah blah. Turns out the replacement feature for that is pretty handy.
Ten years pass this way, moving from place to place and taking out any who challenge me. I'm not as challenged as often as you'd think, given the state of the world; but given how remote my secret locations are, I'm surprised they keep finding us at all. Oh, well. It's not as though the genre was really going to let me sit on my laurels the whole time. Come the end of the jump, though, I'm outta here. High-octane it may be, but this isn't home.

>Way of White: Clerics, zealots and such that follow the lead of Gwyn and despise Sorcery and Dragons.
>Chaos Servant: Followers of the Fair Lady, taking her corrupted eggs upon themselves and foraging for humanity to soothe her pain.
>Forest Hunter: Inhabitants of the Darkroot Wood that work with Alvina.
>Path of the Dragon: Those who seek out ways to become a dragon.
>Painted Heathen: An inhabitant, rather, a former inhabitant of the Painted World.
>Dark Wraith: Followers of Kaathe who harvest humanity and try to work towards an age of darkness.
>Blade of the Dark Moon: Followers of Gwyndolin who hunt down evil and those who offend the gods.
>Gravelord Servant: Followers of Nito who spread discord and disease.
>Demon: Self-explanatory
>God: One of the former inhabitants of Anor Londo, similar in nature to the Black/Silver Knights and Gwyn's personal Knights.

Has anyone considered doing a The Red Solstice Jump?
>In theyear 2060the Earth was ravaged by avirus pandemicof a magnitude greater than the Bubonic plague. The virus spread quickly, those who were infected became something less human, willing carriers of the modern-day plague. Government action came too late, and as the chaos escalated corporate agencies rushed space programs in a desperate bid to evacuate the planet, since a cure could not be found. The fledglingcolonies of Marsbecame humanity's last bastion, and since no traces of the virus was found among the lucky few who boarded the space vessels bound for the Red Planet, it was believed the danger had been averted.

>It is now theyear 117 AE (After Earth) terraforming is well under way, however during an exceptionally violent storm dubbedThe Red Solstice, communication lines betweenTharsis, the colony referred to asThe Capitaland the remaining human settlements of Mars are disrupted. The Elysium Corporationdeploys its elite marine task force to investigate what happened to the colony. What they find will forever change their lives and the lives of all the inhabitants of the Red Planet.
Basically super-zombie virus destroys Earth and the survivors rebuild on Mars. Plans to retake Earth go awry, include fucking with the virus to create immune super soldiers, cue rebels and eveything going south. I'm already drawing up a rough draft and would like to claim it if nobody objects.

Gear
Noble Title - Knight

Drawbacks
Not So Pleasant Peasant (+100cp)
The 12 Ordeals (+200cp)

I was sometimes called the Leper Knight. Rarely removing my helmet, most people recognized my approach, as no one wielding such a Silver Lance was garbed in the same colours I was. I was given little respect, though I needed little, and it was rare for me to invited into a castle besides the one owned by my Lord, though I prefer the wilds so it worked out. I spent most of the Jump making my way into the Courts of the Wood Elves. They found me to be surprisingly persuasive, in spite of my raggedy and befouled appearance, and I brought about great social reform into Bretonnia. I left behind an ironclad alliance of Man & Elf, unlike anything that has been seen in that world.

Not to mention I was all to happy to acquire some abilities and equipment that could further enhance my Griffon Mount (Dragonlance).

It could be interpreted on either ways.

> It leaves that portion of itself behind, maintains a connection. A safeguard. The body it uses is but an extension, a tendril.
>In seeking to understand the host creatures, the entity had coded shards to emulate them. It is those same shards that experience the entity’s first ever emotion.

It’s never been exposed to the real world, really, so the human side of him hasn’t matured or developed.

Since it is using some shards to emulate the hosts, it would be really impractical to actually alter the main brain to function as the host species to infiltrate them, as it would mean that they could develop empathy for them and threaten their whole mission.
>>
>>54318735
>summon hundreds of high level mobs at any time
Not true at all. Ainz summons are pretty limited on a skill use. The maximum number of top tier undead that he can summon per day without using Over-rank magic is 4. Two if he creates Eternal Deaths (level 90).

And either way, those Undead would still be one-shooted by Scion's attacks, since they far exceed the punishment that Ainz can take.

I'm more of an Overlord fan that a Worm fan, but the Entities, even with their lack of magic, operate on another scale, and Overlord's instant-death spells (the only that have some chance of killing the Entities before they get angry and destroy the continent you are standing in) have a chance of being resisted based on level, and I think it would be pretty hard to argue that an Entity with all the punishment and damage that can inflict would be leveled anything less than level 100. So, even fanwanking that Ainz effect the Entity with a spell before it realices something, it would be a dice throwing and hoping that it dies the instant the ability is used or then Ainz is dead.

Also, bringing dimensional slash is pointless, since it would require to destroy a whole planetoid worth of mass to kill the Entity, unless Ainz somehow had some PtV guiding him to kill it like Contessa did by targeting its neuronal system while it is somehow stunned enough to repair the damage done to itself.

>>54318834
Do you really want us to post Worm fanfics?

But yeah, this has gone on for too long. I guess it's up to each individual's fanwanking on how things like living planetoids and instant-death effects would interact.

Drakes are the diminutive cousins of true eternal dragons. The big red one that breaths fire on the bridge and the little person sized ones in the Valley of Drakes are Drakes. That being said, they will have some inspiration from the dragons found in the game like Kalameet, Seath and the Stone Dragon that acts as the Path of the Dragon covenant master. Dragons will also be involved in another way in the Jump.

>>54319056
I've already got their perk lines figured out, yeah. Wanted an even amount of origins for a different thing anyways. Thanks by the way.

>>54319114
Eventually as part of an initiative to break up DS1 and DS2 into their own Jumps. Though the original Dark Souls Jump will then be defunct when it all gets done.

>>54319130
It's highly probably that I'll be making a generic companion option based on Destined Meeting from the original Jump for whatever canon companions you may want to pick up. Current plans would be a slightly higher price, but with much better chances at things going well as if you had bought a canon companion directly, as an example.
>>

100% True. Shub Niggurath says hi.
>>
With an immunity to existence erasure what else do I need to survive a conflict with Zen-Oh and where can I get it? I assume some way of surviving if he erases the universe I'm in?
>>
>>54319191
>Trading 75.000 people at the maximum range of the spell per 5 mobs and can only be casted a limited number per day, also the goats disappear
>>54318735
>hundreds of high level mobs at any time

Well, at least now I know that you are baiting and you have no idea of what you are talking about.
>>
>>54319249
>Zen-Oh
Afterworld or Devil Survivor 2 have immunity to getting erased.
>Universe going bye bye
Probably surviving in the void, maybe add something to survive in exotic places (Kingdom Hearts or Kekkai Sensen), and maybe immunity to physical damage via Soft Physics (Worm).
>>
>>54319256
>Well, at least now I know that you are baiting and you have no idea of what you are talking about.
Maybe anon is treating things like Death Knights as high level mobs? They are in setting even if they are trash by Nazarick standards.
>>
>>54319188
>a generic companion option based on Destined Meeting

Awww, I liked your whole give each canon companion their own option, it gave the companion section more personalty. Oh well, I don't want you to bury yourself in work making all the unique companion options.

Can we have a discount on a purchase if the character we choose would match are origins? Like Rhea if your part of the way of White, Solaire if your a Warrior of Sunlight, and Priscilla if your a Painted Outcast like her?
>>
>>54319249
Fighting ability and raw power, and lots of each. The angels, and probably his guards too, are the most powerful characters shown in the series to date. If you've got that covered, a perk to not need air/ to survive in space for when he deletes the universe around you and maybe a perk that prevents the universe being unbalanced when you kill him because who knows if his existence is somehow required in some way.
>>
>>54319256
No, you're being deliberately obtuse, but as good a time as any to stop an argument when you wank yourself so raw over your own dumb bullshit that you call other people shitposters while ignoring facts as they're brought up.
>>
>>54319322
Yeah, I liked it too, but it got requested a few times last it was brought up for convenience sake and with it decreasing my workload and increasing simplicity for people I don't think I can really pass it up. On the upside, I'll likely be loosening things up a bit on who you can take so Quelaag and Sif might (not sure yet) be options. I'll also still have quite a few OC Companions, even more than the original generic Jump.

As for the suggestion. That's not a bad one, I'll give that one some thought. Was already playing around with different price tiers based on who you were picking up, but working in discounts also sounds cool.
>>
>>54319294
That's still 12 per day. And are not impressive for the discussion. It should also be noted that, their best ability of surviving with 1hp a single attack is not absolute as they falling from a great height still killed them.

>>54319364
>I don't even know my own source material!
>But you are clearly the one being obtuse and a shitposter!

I would use the Summer argument, but things like this are pretty common around here. I know that you hate Worm, but you should at least try to knowing your sources before trying and failing to discuss other series.

Dragonlance or Forgotten Realms have the option.

A feeling of déjà vu hits me as we enter this world, and I immediately prepare to fight. It's as though the gaze of YHVH fell upon me a second time., full of fear and loathing for this unwanted stranger. There's a subtle difference this time around, but I can't bring myself to care, initially. I draw the Blade and rapidly move towards the source of this unease. I won't let him meddle in my chain a second time, and I won't let him lay a hand on her.

I'm soon confronted by an animated construct wielding a heavenly sword. The battle is short. Compared to the struggle of before, the fight is incredibly one-sided - one swipe of the Blade and the being is already kneeling in what I think is pain. But it gets back up. I feel like it could easily dodge my lazy, half-hearted attacks, but simply refuses to. Why? I look behind them and I see a small village, the residents huddled close together and murmuring fervent prayers.

The biggest difference I saw was the lack of fear towards their erstwhile savior in their eyes. There was no hope in their gaze at seeing their protector struck like this, their prayers full of determination and hope for them to be saved…and for their guardian to prevail. I looked and I realized, this was not the mighty and tyrannical YHVH. This being…was on its absolute last legs in terms of power, but it was still risking itself to protect its own followers.

…have I been so used to fighting tyrants and fools that I've forgotten the face of a father?

My weapon is sheathed. And I reach out to them.
>>
>>54317463
Why are you even here, dumbass?
>>

I learn the entity I battled was called The Master, and contrary to its name, this God saw itself as the shepherd and protector of humanity, and wanted to defeat their adversary through restoring faith and guiding those on this planet. They had sensed my arrival and believed me to be a harbinger of doom, and a danger to those they swore to protect. I…suppose I can't blame them, all things considered.

I decide to help. Our goals aren't mutually exclusive, after all. I name myself the Sorcerer Supreme and aid The Master. I'm not much of a preacher, but I'm good at dealing with the mystical threats and the many demons of Tanzra. I do what I need to, no more than that, and that's enough.

Soon, the threat is gone and The Master informed me that without the threat of an Adversary and the world of humans now self-sustaining, faith would fade away and The Master would become dormant. I half-expected him to make me an accomplice in some way to fix this, or offer to use my Destroyer of Worlds title to do so. But he didn't. They just…thanked me for the helping them protect all of them. Every life, right down to the smallest blade of grass. And bid me good luck on my journey as they disappeared.

You…really weren't so bad, you know that? If every star in the multiverse had a being like you watching over them…there wouldn't be any need for Jumpers or a Destroyer of Worlds.
>>
>>54319407
I thought they were more impressive because stuff they kill becomes undead that fight for them.

A couple wizards can kill an undead, and maybe a few dozen can restrain a death knight, but the damn horses are known to be country destroyers.

Myself I think ainz best bet would be timestop and scry and nukes, mainly using instant death techniques and his absolute shitload of shield spells.

Not saying it would be easy either way. Especially since ainz style leans more heavily towards a minion master archetype.

After you were all so nice to Steampunk I've felt inspired to finish my WIP jump that's sat half finished on my computer fr0 months. But the problem is that other than 3-4 things I have no idea on what to use as items outside the mecha customization section. How would people feel about not having an item section other than a small general one? That way you could spend more points on either perks or covert them to customization points. And fuck I literally just got an idea on a way to redo origins that probably makes things better. And no I'm not going to say what jump it is in hopes of the extremely unlikely chance someone decides to claim it and I don't have to struggle with it anymore.

If you're going to do the Path of the Dragon covenant as an origin, you should just nix the Drake origin and roll it in; they're trying to become dragons, just have the drake be a 600 CP perk that's discounted for that origin (and possibly an undiscounted version to become one of the true-bred but diminished everlasting dragons, like the Gaping Dragon was?)

My tactics aren't really much worth talking about even if I have a million "git gud at tactics" perks. I am willing to befuddle and misdirect the enemy at any cause and curse them to have an interesting war. I rely heavily on magical debuffs, such as cursing my enemies and severely weakening them. I am not a terribly honorable commander even if I'm not a liar to my enemies. Plus in jumps where I don't have that much resources I am a master at guerrilla warfare (To quote the copypasta).

Then again I win everything because I have a bunch of magical girls harnessing the power of Heroic Spirits and the elites go through the Third Magic ritual so they have instant mana refilling. It's a little hard to steamroll them unless you have magic as well. I'm looking into ways to give them soul protection so no one can touch them.

As for vehicles, they're all hopped up on magitech and overt reliance on the Second Magic to get their mana batteries.

I always delegate responsibility to my elite magical girls. I can trust them and I have a heavy selection process for them.
