Thinking back on a bunch of NES games I've only played on emulators, I considered making jumps for them. But few-to-none of them have enough content for a full jump. Would anyone care if I just mashed three or more little games into a single jump?

With each game providing an origin -

Little Nemo (drop-in)
Solar jetman
Metal storm
Startropics
>>

Shit like this is why your sincerity is always fucking questionable.

Any tips for killing jumpers?
>>
>>54157478
Pretty sure a lot of people would mind, especially because Little Nemo has a great movie to go along with the game and you're not shoving that into a mash-up jump like it's a third rate NES game.
>>
>>54157517
Find their address and buy a gun.
>>
>>54157517
Just put a sign that says free waifus and powers where you have a trap and watch them fall for it.
>>
>>54157478
Nnnnnnnnnyemaybe?

I feel like you could do that if you got games with a LOT of conceptual/premise overlap and not much unique to themselves. But I'm not so sure about the ones you listed?

I remember StarTropics having some weird cosmic shit at the end. So if it turns out to be like the Ultima series, where it straight up turns into sci-fi, then I guess you could weld it onto Solar Jetman and Metal Storm, with Little Nemo as the odd one out.

Doesn't Little Nemo have a series?

The primary method of battle during The Great Potato Crisis War was usually by taking advantage of young and 'middle-aged' Jumpers, most of whom suffered from delusions of grandeur or were convinced a certain combination of perks made them effectively invincible. A combination of guerilla tactics utilized with multidimensional weaponry would be employed, followed by a blitzkrieg using several different clones of Cardcaptor Sakura.

However, once Jumpers began to use proper Jackie Chan tactics to counter this and using improvised weapons instead of individual combos, this strategy became less effective as battle became too entertaining to take seriously, and agents on the field would often stop and eat popcorn while watching their comrades get slaughtered via stepladders.

Eventually, the tactic was abandoned in favor of using Multi-Dimensional CQC with Chipotle Mayo, but this would eventually lead to The Wormhole Battle. See pg. 68 for more details.
>>
>>54157565
Eh, they can be done well. It's rare, but it's possible. I prefer the ones that give them your powers, though, then you at least have some idea of what they're capable of, and it's not a constant game of "I use ___" "lol no you didn't nyet nyet nyet".

I make a mean apple crumble, following this recipe:

Crumble:
300g ground manna, sieved pinch of volcanic salt
175g unrefined sugar, touched by the power of a harvest deity
200g unsalted Asgardian goat butter, divided into a circle of binding to capture the essence of the Supernal Realms

Filling:
450g Hesperidean apples, cored and cut into 1cm pieces
50g quintessence
1 tbsp manna
1 pinch of Dune-brand spice

1. Preheat the Gaian Bastion to 180 C farenheitfags get out reee

2. Mix the manna, sugar and quintessence with rays of your own light. Molecularly reassemble the butter into the mixture until it has the consistency of breadcrumbs

3. Invoking an appropriate Adamant Circle spell, sprinkle the blessed sugar, manna and spice upon the fruit without breaking it up

4. Butter a 24cm oven dish inscribed with the I-Ching. Spoon fruit mixture on the bottom, sprinkle the crumble on top

5. Bake for 40-45 minutes while using the First Magic to enforce the process of Noble Phantasm crystallisation and the Second to swap in alternate universe portions of your crumble that were cooked even better (or mana to enforce the crumble's concept, as appropriate).

6. Serve with coconut or cookies & cream ice cream. No matter what some people tell you, custard is not wanted.

Ugh, volcanic salt? I used to love that, but ever since Shadow of Mordor I can't stand it. Orc cooking uses way too much of the stuff.

What can black magic do in MtG besides the usual evil/dickish stuff? I'm wondering whether I should buy some Swamps in Kamigawa or not.
>>
>>54157801
Make and control undead, rot things, suck out souls, summon dark aligned creatures, talk to the dead. Normal stuff.
>>
>>54157801
It sometimes gets used to set up contracts that you really don't want to break, also does a bit of spying but that's more when it is blue aligned.
>>
>>54157801
Not much, unless you combine it with another color. Black's theme is amorality and ambition, you don't have to do evil with it but you're always going to be kind of a dick. But you can be a dick for justice. Black is good at acquisition, transformation, and nullification. It can take away properties from things, resources or strength or life force. I can convert one thing into another, though usually in the sense of resources and capabilities rather than outright physical transformations. Turning someone into a frog would be hard with black mana, but exchanging their wisdom for power or life energy for good fortune is possible. And it can just make things stop, drown light in shadows, snuff out life, bring silence and stillness to the world.
>>
Do we have something like the Book of Life and Death? No not the Death Note.
>>
>>54157906
Yeah, it's in Journey to the West. Not as an item for purchase, though, you're going to have to steal it. Up to you to decide if it would still work in other worlds or not.
>>
>>54157898
That's actually a pretty good description. You just convinced me that I do need black mana in my life.

They do tend to smoke everything they salt, don't they? Rather like the Danish smoking salts, if the Vikings were the misbegotten spawn of elves corrupted by Sauron's dark will. But yeah, those gluttons go too far hiding the taste of maggoty bread until meat's back on the menu.

Personally, I like volcanic salt because it tends to soak up the more active leylines' energy for extra kick. Well-that and nostalgic value. Last I saw my ex, she was divided into a confused human body, and a fire goddess soul trapped in one of Hawaii's most active volcanoes.

There's the Book of Thoth from Age of Mythology, which reveals the workings of a god's mind. As the most powerful spellcaster, Thoth would presumably also have recorded lots of Egyptian magic.

Which your in-game commander uses to...be 10% better at gathering wood, gold and farming. Go figure.

Oh, and there's the Book of Going Forth By Day from Percy Jackson.

I'm not sure if kami can sense locations they have a link to, or whether the range would be that large.

Those both are what happen in the kamigawa books. Kami are literally the spirits of the places or things they represent.

For instance the myojin of nights reach can allow people to teleport wherever there is darkness and can appear wherever there is shadow.

She also learns how to planeswalk by going into the blind eternities and following her link to night and going to worlds other than kamigawa. She can feel the presence of night.

It is actually a seperate world based on the game world where beings feom an alternate reality are farming the particles of mana that the game world generates, the people are really there in an alternate world based on the game.

Old PDF anon here, but it's basically this.
>Empathiom
>Empathiom (also translated as empathion and empathium) is a sort of energy source that the Travelers are seeking for their creators. The world of Theldesia is ripe with it after the Catastrophe, an event that the Travelers detected and thus purposely involved themselves with in order to harvest it.
>While the true nature of empathiom is unknown, it is very likely that it takes the form of memories -- particularly the memories sacrificed by Adventurers to revive after death. As a result, the Genius are often seen trying to spread death and destruction in order to acquire more empathiom.
>>
>>54158860
Yeah I dont know why either but thats the explanation they gave.

>Travelers
>The Travelers are an artificial life form created in order to find Empathium. The world that their creators came from had run out of Empathium before they fully realized that Empathium was necessary to create more Empathium; as a result, the Travelers were created to search out Empathium from different universes. They created something known as the "Backdoor," a mathematical phenomenon that would be used to find other universes with Empathium. Using it, they were involved with the Catastrophe, knowing full well what would happen.
>The universes are usually tied to several common rules. First, only one intelligent life form exists per universe. Second, the Law of Providence Horizon states that no two intelligent life forms can coexist in the same universe. Third, the Law of Contradiction dictated that before a contradiction could occur, one of the life forms would cease to exist. As a result, normally the Travelers' search would end in failure. However, the world of Theldesia was an exception as a result of the Catastrophe, which caused three forms of intelligent life to exist in the same universe. According to the Law of Providence Horizon, two of these three life forms should not exist here.
>The Genius immediately began harvesting Empathium when they arrived on Theldesia as a result of their orders, while most of the Fools are observing.

>Many more doublings. The Sun is over 865 thousand kilometers in diameter. It's possible with the Titanfall ship import, though.
So out of curiosity, I crunched some numbers for plan:
The sun is actually a warship.
The sun is 864,575.9 mi in diameter.
I could'd find a exact diameter for the Asgerd class planetoid, but if it's approximately 25 larger than the moon, the moon is 2,159 miles in diameter, so an Asgerd would be 2,698.75 miles.
Or the Sun is about 320 times larger than the Dahak Scenario reward.
Titan fall can make something is bit over 57 & 2/3 times larger by taking size increase (length) ten times and size increase (width) ten times and choosing to keep proportions to also increase height.
Experimental ACU can triple that to 173 times as large.

Is there another jump that can increase size besides Five Star Stories?

That depends on how you read it. It says it increases size by half again with each purchase. That could mean half of the original size, or half of the size it's gotten from the previous purchases. So it could potentially get quite a bit larger. Galaxy-sized, in fact.

Also, as has been pointed out to you, Asgerds are 25% larger than the moon, not 25 times larger than the moon.

Keep your fleet in time-locked storage, and you've got an entirely empty galaxy... Except for the Necrons. And maybe still Chaos, possibly?

Anyway, onto my actual question... What could we do with the Hive Fleet's psychic might? I'd kinda guess that kind of massive amounts of psychic power is going to have some trouble with finesse?

Would we be radiating a shadow in the warp too?

Because of the dumbest fucking reason.

Someone was trying to push a supplement, and Brutus said "naw, not looking at it until it's finished" in IRC.

Back then, thread and IRC had the worst hatred, and so some enterprising asshole looked at his statement, edited it to "Naw, not looking at it," then went to thread screaming IRC Censorship.

JoJo tried to get shit calm. And because of Thread and IRC hating each other, everybody just collectively told JoJo to solidly fuck off and get out, as they were having entirely too much fun shitstorming.

>>
>>54159300
>They fired fairly short range burst of green energy. I think that >>54159243 is right, some sort of bio-plasma?
When you say "burst", what do you mean? Was it a coherent projectile with a wispy tracer effect? Because if so, that green plasma look might have been meant to be acid. I'm looking at some videos of Dawn of War right now, the various acidified ranged weapons (looked up the various units, too, the wiki says what their guns are. Very handy) have that special effect.
>>
>>54159406

>It says it increases size by half again with each purchase
I was assuming standard compounding multiplicative results already.
1 x 1.25 = 1.25 (and costs 100 ship points, 50 cp in making a wider, 50 cp in making it longer, with the update post implying taking both equally can keep the ship proportions to make height increase as well instead of a disk shape)
1.25 x 1.25 = 2.25 (200 SP used)
2.25 x 1.25 = 3.375 (300 SP used)
3.375 x 1.25 = 5.0625 (400 SP used)
5.0625 x 1.25 = 7.59375 (500 SP used)
7.59375 x 1.25 = 11.390625 (600 SP used)
11.390625 x 1.25 = 17.0859375 (700 SP used)
17.0859375 x 1.25 = 25.62890625 (800 SP used)
25.62890625 x 1.25 = 38.443359375 (900 SP used)
38.443359375 x 1.25 = 57.6650390625 (1,000 SP used)
That is ALL the SP, anon. It's not getting any larger.
>>
>>54159405

>>54159422

>>
>>54159434
Two problems with that. One, "half again" would be x1.5. Two, you can convert CP to SP at a ratio of 1:4. Meaning that with a 600CP drawback limit, 1000CP to start, and 400CP to import a ship with a bonus of 1000SP for that, you actually have a total of 5800SP. At 50SP per size increase, that's 116 purchases. Split it between length and breadth and you get 58 for each. 1.5^58 is over 16 billion.

If they have some power source and a forge there is literally nothing a maker could not make given time to hammer out what they want. Their armor and weapons are magical tools that both heaven and hell fear and envy. When makers die they are too old to be sent to any realm of the dead so other makers use their heart stone which contains their soul to forge the dead into titanic constructs that retain their memories.

So basically if you can imagine it chances are a maker could make it.

Average makers? Their upper end are giant stone golems powered by the souls of their dead, and weaponry that make angels and demons go "OH SHIT RUN."

They've also made entire worlds, but that seems like more of a group effort + upper end deal.

The simplist ones-drone and larvae

Think about it, they can mutate into ANY Zerg unit or building. Imagine if a Genestealer could turn into a Norn Queen or Carnifex in a few minutes! Or sacrifice itself to turn an Imperium barracks into a biological suicide bomber factory
>>
>>54159867
Zerg are capable of adapting or evolving mid-battle to better suit their environment or make use of new genetic material. Tyranids usually have to wait till the next generation and reprocess existing organisms. A Norn Queen that could instantly evolve it's Gaunts into cliff jumpers to cross rough terrain or any number of other on the fly adaptions would be horrifying.
>>
>>54159944
This is why I fucking love how Drone is an acceptable option for the Zerg jump.

Those shits can just be too damn versatile.

Doh! The math results is for x1.5. Don't know why I typed those as 1.25's.

But this I totally overlooked. I had other stuff planned to buy in the jump, and a bit of CP to SP conversion would get me over the hump to sun size.
>>
>>54159944
Hrm... GenestealerLarvae?! Madness. Now this would be an... interesting addition.

And I suppose maintaining zerganid hives on worlds already consumed could be beneficial - The shadow of the fleet's passing wouldn't fade behind it, it would grow as they continued from each new stronghold into an expanding force. Especially if each zerg hive were also a Norn Queen...

You could go to Sitcom Jump, then grab "Slacker" from the Oddball tree, maybe "Show About Nothing" while you're at it, and then just watching people do sitcom things for however many turns around you want to do for that jump.

I'm not going to lie, in terms of settings, having dedicated jumps is better. But in terms of "I just want to jack around doing nothing for however long I feel like", Sitcom jump is really high up there.

Actually, I brought up drones and larvae because of the Angela, which used to be the seed ship in the Knights of Sidonia scenario.

Operative word: Used to. Mainly because apart from Zerg larvae DNA, I gave this to the Chimerae/Gauna onboard:

-Juhki/Shimajuhki/Reverse Phase Image Polymer: To assimilate and supplant all of the ship's mechanical parts
-Vajra cells: Energy conversion, space folding, intergalactic communication and faster defence adaptations
-Safeguard biology: By creating a Structural Conversion Tower (Blame!) out of Gauna placenta using The Flesh Is Strong (Hive Queen Quest), I gave them advanced technopathy, the power to create biomass out of electricity and of course-biological gravity beam emitters.
-Imaginos nanites created from Living Metal Shapeshifter cells: More nuanced assimilation of mechanical technology
-Reconstructed Perfect Cell cell samples: Ki manipulation, extreme regeneration-and the potential to grow further in both
-Jenova cell samples: Materia utilisation, fabulous white hair
-Lyrium Crystal Gem pseudo-Cluster alchemic template/Worm Entity data cache (Cortex Command): A bunch of useful adaptive hardlight, wavelength and space distortion technologies for manipulating the outside world by converting the entire ship into a harmonious pseudo-Cluster.
-Symbiote (Spider man and Skullgirls derivatives) cells: Greater synergy with allies and pets, like the humans and Lavosi aboard the Angela
-Symbiote (web novel) biomass: Faster matter manipulation; nigh-complete coexistence between the Net Sphere and the materium
-Gaian essence and large scale manse engineering: Two words-Wyld Revocation
-Devil Gundam cells: Evolutionary accelerant, force multiplier to all the above

As a result, the ship is currently made of flesh, and constantly pumps out adorably enthusiastic magical monstergirl perfect lifeforms.

It's kind of like if the Tyranid hivemind exuded cuteness instead of hunger, and could compress themselves into one ship.

Sort of? The universe is created by a couple of hyperdimensional gods, and one of them invested her power directly into a couple of trees and a cabbit instead of just giving rise to the technology. One of the civs later figured out how to utilise the trees to make spaceships with. Nobody practices or casts magic of any sort, though.

In general, anything to do with Light Hawk Wings is a sign of divine intervention. I'd say there's definitely divinity among the very fewest, very rarest individuals but no widely practiced or recognised magic as a system.

...that's a fair question. I'm not a very big Sonic guy.

I probably holed up somewhere on a mountain, tried to use FF14's crystal growing perks to seed my surroundings with Chaos Emeralds and opened up a lab to see how they'd grow. Maybe try to make a few Gems here and there?

I probably created a bonus level that caught Sonic's (and probably Knuckles') attention by accident, because growing macguffins is kinda menacing.

There was probably some mutual confusion when it turned out I wasn't taking over the world, and a small humanoid mammal somehow caught a super mode from wading through my science projects.

There were definitely long, awkward silences because I don't really know what to make of Sonic. So he definitely doesn't know what to make of me.

They've domesticated many of them. Even the most mundane dishes in the Gourmet Age are made from weird food monsters. But for the most part yes, the viciousness is part of the tasting experience. The nature of Gourmet Cells means that in general the stronger something is the tastier it is. Not always, sometimes it's "the harder something is to get to, the tastier it is", but danger plays a big role. In fact, some of the "domestication" involves taking animals and training them to be more powerful and dangerous fighters, and requires strong bishokuya to do the actual slaughtering because they've become giant hell-beasts along the way. But it's worth it for how tender their meat gets after building up all that super-tough muscle and then being tenderized by a thousand punches from a man who is on fire.

He already explained this on SB, because he doesn't play jumpchain but uses it for his oc, so he saw no reason to talk about anything here other than dropping jumps. His oc is enough bizzaro shit to weird Garlock out, so if he talked about it here he'd probably have gotten shit on even faster.

After stuffing the Chaos Emerald into the Seedbed? Pic related.

I was the force in the background. The bulwark who was never recognized, the unsung hero who was never thanked or praised or treated with respect. Devoting whole armies of robots to fight in the background, never winning. Only stalling so that Sonic and his friends could swoop in and take all the credit.

Can you imagine that? Never being able to win, never being recognized for your services. Across time and space, constantly fighting and sacrificing and doing anything you could to keep a psychotic despot from ruining the world more than he ever has... and all you can do is set the pieces up. Never making a difference other than making dominoes for the heroes to push over and feel like they are strong, never being recognized for anything you did. All you can do is just do a thankless job and no matter what you had at your disposal, you're always seen as the stupid one.

Perhaps this is how Booster Gold felt.

Long ago in a distant future, I, Robotnik, the robot-building Master of Time unleashed an unspeakable evil! But a foolish Dimension Hopper wielding false emeralds stepped fourth to oppose me. Before the final blow was struck , I tore open a portal in time and flung him onto Mobius, where my evil is law! Now the fool seeks to return to the Death Egg, and undo the future that is Robotnik!

Why does Data Absorption provide less benefits when used on "weaker" Digimon? Is it because they have less (or "weaker") data, or is there something else there?

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Bio-Emerge pretty much just flat-out better compared to World Tunneler? Bio-Emerge works at-will, gives you a body able to endure hostile native environments... while World-Tunneler requires you to find very specific (and likely rare) anomalies, takes awhile, and has a chance of going dangerously wrong. Sorry, but I'm just not seeing a reason to take World Tunneler over Bio-Emerge... Am I missing something?

I refused to sacrifice Yion. I protected the everliving shit out of that smile.

According to Gar, my heart grew three sizes that day. Or my aura, anyway.

Not just Yion; the people who tried to rescue her, came with us. We had to run, constantly. There was one upside-I didn't have to hold back, either. The world was already dead. And Nyardi's taunting just reminded me why I started all of this.

Our new friends knew it was futile, even after seeing what we could do. We scoured the land with living death, and it kept shambling after us. We set the heavens afire with the power I'd stolen from Orokin, and the mountains cursed us. We cut down armies with sound and fury, and more replaced them.

In the end, we didn't ever find Nyardi's true self. We just made a funeral pyre for the world, and all she could do was thrash while burning alive inside of it. Or so I thought at the time...

And then we had roasted marshmellows on the embers.

>>54161314
That's correct on the first bit. Weaker Digimon like those in the In-Training or Baby form are often much more simplistic digital lifeforms compared to those like Ultimate or Mega. Strong Digimon have generally lived a while, fought a lot, accumulated tons of data and become really complex lifeforms compared to the goo balls that are baby Digimon. (This is in general, it's excluding exceptions like that weird Arkadimon thing from one of the manga series I've vaguely heard about, which was as strong as a Mega after hatching from its egg).

In the specific case of World Tunneler vs Bio-Emerge, they're discounted to different origins iirc so one can be easier to get than the other under specific circumstances. World Tunneler also explicitly creates a passageway between worlds that others besides yourself can pass through, and can be used to move stuff through. Bio-Emerge is focused on getting you where you want to go and making sure you're ready when you get there, World Tunneler is better for launching expeditions and moving other people.

Old Chain Nika beat Eggman at his own game through an elaborate game of keikaku involving replacing everyone he tried to kidnap with robots, and when he went to roboticize them they started kicking tons of ass. Then Eggman revealed that he expected this all along and he reprogrammed them to attack me in return.

And so forth, we keikaku'd the shit out of each other until I finally won by overwhelming Eggman with the Freedom Fighters because I spent this time acting neutral (sometimes opposing them) in response to them purely to catch him off guard when the time was right.

Kinda like Ender's Game, huh? But yeah, Norn Queens are pretty much the closest there is to central 'nodes' of the Hivemind. They're singular individuals who can direct their fleets and their children, so while the hive mind is a collective intelligence, these are the ones who are ultimately behind it and tell it what to do.

And hey, if you're stuck on a ship 24/7 with nothing to do except eat, design monsters, and give birth, then you'd be shitposting and arguing with your sisters too. You have nothing else to do and its pretty much the only contact you get with another intelligent being.

I'd suggest adapting large scale manse crafting techniques to try and revive all the leylines going back to Britain, but I don't know enough about the magical climate change to tell whether it would be putting the cart before the horse. More difficult but practical in my opinion, if you build 25 Reality Engines around a Protoshinmaic Vortex you can create an elemental pole-of mana, in this case. Needless to say, you probably want to be an Infernal or Solar when trying to build stuff like this. If you have the Dragon Stream from DeSu 2, it could help since grants some direct control over leyline energy.

There's also the Moonstone from Lone Wolf, but unless you have a LOT of magic to throw around you might have to leave it there to fix Britain permanently. The capstone boosted Empathic Environment from God of War helps with magically messing with the environment, and the magic from Bretonnia /might/ give the land a nudge in the right direction. Also the revivification magic from Sailor Moon is powerful enough for me to think it might help.

I think the big problem is Gaia or the Counter Force getting mad from a reversion this big. I was told a long time ago Gaia really likes Britain for some reason, but all the same you should probably acquire something like Job Offer (Dresden Files), some of the planetary spirit perks from Captain Planet, The Unlosing Jumper from Disgaea, Idiot Hero from Highschool DxD and/or Gaia the waifu (as a translator) from EVO so you can calm those entities down.

>>54162131
This is a good point though, is the priority here Britain or the global mana problem? I'd assumed it was Britain; the other problem is much harder.

Since according to GO, genociding only the humans in one version of reality wouldn't do much in the long run.

Warhammer 40k - Imperium

I really want to be a cogboy, but since the setting is so large and we already have a soroitas jump, it might be better to remove it entirely and make jumps dedicated to each group - admech, space marines, rogue traders, guard/navy, etc.

Eggmans trashed my stuff.
At first I had all my gadgets, my crutches, but little by little they forced me to lose them. My guns got blasted, my scanners scrapped, my Spittle Runner down in flames. And every time I had to start compensating with actual effort.
And Eggmans are nothing if not adaptable. I didn't get a moment's peace. Armies would find me, the Time Devourer would rend apart places, they built capacitors with calibrated lightning rods to drain my magic, I could never rest, there was never TIME, it was easier to just keep moving. Just keep running forward.

But... if I did that... I found it wasn't too bad. Eggmans need time to build armies. They need time to plan things. If you're fast enough, they can't catch you.
I remember running through the remnants of Planet Wisp, with the wind blowing past me, glowing and leaving ether trails from the drawn off magic, and I felt weirdly free. And I stopped just long enough to take in the view.
And I wondered if this is what Sonic felt like all the time.

... but afterwards, when the world was fixed, I was able to let myself slow down, and for items to respawn, and rebuild. Slowly pulling all my gadgets back together, and by the end of the ten years, I was back to normal. There in the fixed timeline, playing along, a footnote beside Sonic and Eggman, the way everything was supposed to be.

>>
>>54162746
No, it's more like a gestalt of Tyranid instincts. It doesn't have a will or intelligence of its own, if there was only the Hivemind then the tyranids would be a dumb swarm of animals. No, it's controlled and directed by the sapient Tyranids, such as Hive Tyrants and Norn Queens. Since Hive Tyrants only exist temporarily, that means that generally what a fleet is doing is decided ultimately by its Norns.

>>
>>54162825

Don't miss the note that it's a capstone booster. Because of course Killzone of all things needs a capstone booster, one for the already out of place 800cp perks.

>>54162858
Ho shit.

okay lets break it all down.

firstly, you can only take one capbooster, each cap booster will have their own effects based on which one you choose (ISA or Helghast).

Secondly I set the price to 800 with the reasoning that these perks are modeled off of the main characters and are powerful enough to show that.

Visari literally took a starving, broken nation and turned it into something that fought on vekna's home turf. His hate spawned terrorist movements well after his death, brought into the world peturite and its "ARC" weaponry, pushed his soldiers to literally hold their own against an overwhelming attack fleet supplemented by the UNC. That was the idea of the perk.

perhaps you would all like it rephrased?

The ISA capstone booster is supposed to represent two men breaking through the most defended structure on a heavily industrialized militaristic and paranoid planet, Fighting legions and legions of helghast by themselves, taking on heavily armed walkers with little support, and finally killing the big V himself even after being tactically nuked.

>>54162914
IDK if ill do scenarios yet, considering the perks and classes are not SS13 amounts I may try.
>>
>>54162950
Removing the bit about hate making your personal attacks deal hard to heal wounds seems like it addresses one of the issues, since the rest seems to be based on in setting stuff.

I'm not sure why there is capstone booster though, especially when you've already made it that the capstones are extremely strong 800 perks to start with. It doesn't seem like something that has any reason to act as a capstone booster.

When you can control yourself on the molecular level, there's so much utility that there isn't much you couldn't do given enough time and sufficient superintelligence perks and some decent bioscience.

Manually extended your telomeres would be the tip of the iceberg here.
You could probably set up some sort of automatic mechanism to do it for you.
>>

>>
>>54162950
>His hate spawned terrorist movements well after his death, brought into the world peturite and its "ARC" weaponry, pushed his soldiers to literally hold their own against an overwhelming attack fleet supplemented by the UNC
That was most definitely not his hate. The terrorist movements came from dissidents on both sides, and arguably by Shadow Fall it's the ISA who should be considered terrorists and not the Helghast. Petrusite and its development was always going to happen one way or another, and it was driven largely by greed, not hatred. His soldiers held their own because even with the overwhelming numbers the ISA and Earth used they underestimated the Helghast each and every time and refused to acknowledge them as a proper threat.
>>
>>54162990
It'll kill you. They have "phage cells" that rape Space Marine immune systems and can survive extreme conditions. Don't think anyone's crazy enough to risk it, except maybe a Slaaneshi cultist, but they probably don't care too much to record it.

Scenarios are literally just drawbacks under a different name and an extra reward without as much of a challenge anon. Or are you expecting him to turn the Killzone jump into the next Light of Terra?

>Scenarios are literally just drawbacks under a different name and an extra reward without as much of a challenge anon.

Depends on how an author writes scenario

>Or are you expecting him to turn the Killzone jump into the next Light of Terra?

How did you jump to that conclusion over me asking for a scenario?
>>
>>54163052
>How did you jump to that conclusion over me asking for a scenario?
Because there's basically two types of scenarios. Light of Terra, and NotDrawbacks. The only difference between the NotDrawbacks is some authors put two or three paragraphs instead of one. If you take most scenarios in the drive, they boil down to paragraphs giving a prompt and then a reward for completion.

>>
>>54163045
Change your capstone so instead of being this weird hatred driven shotgun perk, it's focused on one element instead. Use the capstone to show Visari's talent as a manipulator or something. He literally took what was a hopeless situation and transformed it enough that the people managed to harness a planet's worth of power. If it wasn't for Visari's idealistic stupidity and the greed behind the corporations they could have easily taken the planet and gone for an economical takeover of Vekta instead.

The Helghast strength was in how blindly fanatical the entire nation was and how infectious Visari's idealism was. You have perks to show how stubborn and resilient they are, the 400 deals with science, but there's nothing to demonstrate Visari's ability to influence the masses to the extent that basically no one doubted him. Outside of Hakha we barely get any hint of resistance. That level of control is enough to hold its own in most settings.

But anon, she bonds with and protects her children until they reach adulthood, and all those little babies bond with each other. They prefer to sleep huddled up together, with their whips in contact with each other at all times.
>>
>>54163488
You'd probably just end-up swallowing a spider while sleeping anyways.

Fun Fact; That was a False Fact purposefully spread by a person to show how easy people accept false facts. Ironic because it is now one of the most believed false facts out there.

>>54163496
Its babies look like ghosts! You can't trust something that is able to give birth to ghosts!

They're cute little doofy bug ghosts that look like vinegaroons.

Not every arachnid is a spider, scorpion, or mite, anon.

Anyways, I like these guys too, though not as much as amblypygi. Their thick limbs make me think of crabs. Did you know that vinegaroons are closely related to amblypygi? You should look up another one of their relatives, the schizomida. They live in dirt.

I've always liked the contrast between how capable the average HP wizard is with a wand and without one.
I'd read the shit out of someone going Luther Strode on their asses.

Hagrid sorta does! In Order of the Phoenix a bunch of Ministry goons try to BLAM! him with stunners, but he just tanks their magic, beats the shit out of all of them, grabs his dog (who was hit) and escapes into the forest.

So I've been saying "eat" mentally at a bunch of stray instincts instead of an actual species-wide hivemind? Yeah, I see the problem now.

Guess I'm back to using the boosted Listen To My Voice! from Macross to directly sell them on the daemonic buffet, then. That'll take a bit longer, even with Charms.

...

...I still can't believe how many alien invasions that's applicable to.

I'd imagine all the Santa Clauses, easter bunnies and tooth fairies dreamed up by mankind's imagination, since those are the easiest to claim are part of Heaven's agenda.

Wait-do you mean actual deities? Because Uriel straight up called a crusade on those in the 8th century for diverting worship

I mean, it IS a hivemind, but you're making the mistake of thinking that it's an intelligent, thinking gestalt creature. The hivemind is a psychic collective consciousness that connects all tyranids mentally, and which probably houses their directing instincts. All I'm saying is that it doesn't THINK. It doesn't make decisions or directly control Tyranids on its own, it's just there. It's up to individual, more intelligent synapse creatures (who are nonetheless not sapient or proper individuals) to control and direct lesser tyranids, and at the upper most level actual sapient beings like the Hive Tyrants and Norn Queens are capable of making their own decisions and acting as individuals, bearing complete control over the hivemind of their Tyranids and thus they direct what all their lesser Tyranids under their control end up doing.

Like, there are broadly speaking two kinds of hivemind. One where everyone together creates a sort of thought-organism that directs the constituent bodies, or simply a joining gestalt that connects all the actual bodies and minds on some level without bearing its own emergent intelligence. Tyranids have always seemed to be the later.
>>
>>54163407
Odd. It's a spider in the book. I wonder why they changed it in the movie? I guess they just thought it would look cooler contorting as it died? That's rather grim.

This just put a smile on my face like you wouldn't believe.
>>
>>54163737
They figured it'd look cooler and more 'magical', yeah. I remember a lot of people insisting that it was a fantasy animal when the movie came out.
>>
>>54163744
Some people just don't appreciate the weird and wonderful world of arthropods, I guess. If you can think of a weird bug-monster, I guarantee you there's a real life version of it which is less scary. Few arthropods are genuinely scary, really. Not saying they don't exist, but for the most part arthropods are just fine.
>>
>>54163776
The best part of it, to me, is that most of the time the arthropods that people freak out the most when they see, the ones that are the weirdest and 'scariest', are often in actuality the most harmless. None of arachnids I've named today are poisonous or aggressive, they're extremely skittish despite their size. Sure they can pinch or stab, and it doesn't feel good, but there's nothing they can do to you that's remotely serious.
>>
>>54163335
Counter-Conceptual Imposition (The Principle of Hierarchy's perfect parry charm.)

If you're in a city, and for greater psychological impact - Ablation of Brass and Fire (Malfeas' perfect parry.) This one has the advantage of having smug little worms watch you boldly step into the blast and completely disregard it.
>>
>>54163797
Heck, even poisonous arachnids usually won't actually poison you. It takes a fairly long time for little bugs like spiders or scorpions to build up their venom supply, they're not going to use up their stock unless they're convinced they have no other choice.
>>
>>54163818
That's also true. For example, the dreaded Black Widow rarely delivers venom, and when it does, all it causes in the majority of healthy individuals is nausea
>>
>>54163805
It's actually even better. Instant-death effects are treated as Shaping effects, in Exalted. And most Shaping defenses are long-term. So you can turn on Integrity-Protecting Prana and take an entire barrage of Killing Curses. They could shoot at you literally all day with no effect.
>>
>>54163805
You're not wrong, but. Come on man, that's like using a planetary forcefield to deflect a thrown stick.

You could just use Viridian Legend Exoskeleton to tank it with your...viridian exoskeleton (that has a legend written on it). Or deflect the curse with Force Suppression Barrier. Heck, you could probably slap the spell out of the air with Mind Hand Manipulation with a good enough stunt.
>>
>>54163826
Yeah, that's another thing people forget, that most poisonous bugs aren't super-poisonous. I mean, they definitely exist. There are insects and arachnids that can kill with a single sting. But by far, most of them have weak enough poison, in a small enough dosage, that a human will just feel crappy after the sting. It won't be pleasant, but you're unlikely to suffer any permanent health problems, let alone death.
>>
>>54163858
What if I want a spring green exoskeleton?
>>
>>54162669
This is a running theme with a lot of Death World lifeforms as well, the Catachan Devil is thought to potentially be descended from feral Tyranid vanguard organisms.
>>
>>54163880
Then you'd best go making a Heretical Charm for it, because Malfeas wants nothing to do with your bullshit. Viridian or nothing, scrub.
>>
>>54163858
Sorry, every time I look at Exalted solutions I fall into Paranoia Combat mode. Too much time spent on the old WW boards.

>>54163896
>I bet mosquitoes are tyranids too.
Not that anon, but I wouldn't be surprised.
Vicious little cunts.
The blood drinking (which they only do to feed developing eggs) could be a leftover mechanism to steal the genetic information of other species, to incorporate it into the next generation.

>I admit I haven't read the books, which I get the feeling are a must for anyone making a jump of the settings.
They're honestly so different that you could do separate movie-verse and book-verse jumps. The only thing that ties them together is that the main character is a guy named Davey that can teleport. That's it.
>>
>>54162950
>Secondly I set the price to 800 with the reasoning that these perks are modeled off of the main characters and are powerful enough to show that.
That is what 600 CP capstones should be.
here is some REALLY GOOD advice for if you ever think about using 800 CP as a regular price tier.
...
Don't do it.
Never.
Never Ever.
No, not even then.
Or then.

Every single 800 CP as a regular pricing bracket like that I have ever seen has sucked. It fucks up the comparative value of the 1,000 CP, and the 800 CP offerings are inevitably just over priced 600 CP stuff. If you cannot ever see yourself offering it for 600 CP because you think it is that OP, you should not offer it at all.

Hey Val, will you be updating Fate Extra at some point?

Going through the "Kamen Rider Heisei Part Final_ Decade Jump" Gauntlet, does "Kamen Rider Strongest" just let you switch between the various suits/gadgets with the Decadriver, or does it merge them together?

She's said she will. An extra perk line for each background, and presumably extra items and maybe drawbacks.

>>54164442
Pretty much. All my 'generation one' stuff is embarrassingly bad compared to the gen two.
