Clearly you just need to augment yourself with the appropriate attachments.
>>
>>53805728
You only need Charisma EX (Fate/ Servant Supplement). And maybe The Long Game (Overlord) and a social build in Infernals.

The rest are irrelevant.

I just beat jumpchain, you can all go home now.
>>
>>53805603
It is a little ambiguous to give you room to interpret it. But it is based on a cure that would have been developed in a possible future in canon that was deemed a threat by a three-eyed warlock who time travelled to kill the people who made it.

>>53805757
>Does Hearless require you to specifically murder someone,
Yes.
>would you noticeably benefit if you rampaged through a horde of demons?
You would gain some until you reached your capacity and would need time to digest. Anything after that point would just be lost.
>What if you don't have the type of Power they possess? Do you gain nothing?
Afraid so.

So you can't just kill someone, either because you feel like it or in self-defense, but you have to specifically plan it out? Does that mean you can't gain anything from non-sapient magical beasts? If you have several Powers that are similar to it, can you choose which is augmented, or is it random?

>>
>>53806271
So... all else being equal, if you were to kill 20 fire mages and 5 water mages with Heartless, you would be generally be significantly stronger with fire Powers? Am I understanding that correctly? How do you determine their "power" in a specific field of type of magic? Do you just take the highest spell in that category they can cast and divide it by 10?

Trying to get other people to hear it too, hopefully. Preferably not me just thinking things aloud either. I find it funny that in the game, Alan Wake narrates what the player does after they do it.
>>
>>53806321
It has to be deliberate, not accidental. But you don't have to have planned it out hours in advance, just a few seconds. Just long enough to make the decision to kill, which complicates matters if you are trying to kill and benefit from a mob. Something I forgot in my previous post, embarassingly enough.
Sapience isn't necessary in your target, although expect your gains to be relatively less than if they were sapient..
You choose which type of power/energy/pool available to the target to steal and benefit from.

>>53806344
Hmm, doesn't quite work like that.
Unless the energy you take is predisposed elementally then it shouldn't make much difference whether you kill fire mage or water mages, you'd gain the same. It doesn't help you develop any sort of elemental affinity.
>Do you just take the highest spell in that category they can cast and divide it by 10?
It can vary depending on what system you are using. Some systems are nice and easy and linear, like the Magica available to someone in skyrim.
Killing someone in skyrim would increase your magicka pool by one tenth of theirs, roughy; but in systems that aren't that simple, then I'll have to ask you to fanwank what you think is reasonable.

When the Fate Grand Order jump comes out you can collect all the Sabers, but there's Fate Extra, Fate/Stay Night, Old Fate jump, and Fate/Zero. Four fate jumps where you can get four different Saberfaces.

But there are eighteen canon Saberfaces total, but there's a drawback in the servant supplement that makes a servant a Saberface, and YOU can become a saberface demiservant, which means you can summon an infinite expanse of saberfaces if you apply the drawback to all your servants.

Less relatively. Assuming all other things are equal.
But exactly how much less, that's up to you. Maybe a tiny, neglible difference; maybe half or less. I wouldn't want to restrict your creativity, Anon. Just do with what floats your boat and makes sense to you, and have fun with the jump.

OK, here are the charisma perks from my first 100 jumps (I'm to lazy to search for more):

>The Long Game (Overlord; The Series)
>Charisma EX (Fate)
>Inspiring (Hellsing
>A Grand Endeavor (How To Train Your Dragon)
>Jumper The Immortal (Batman: The Dark Knight Triology)
>Why So Serious (Batman: The Dark Knight Triology)
>I Am Justice (Death Note)
>Tonk (Wo)man (Cowboy Bebop)
>Confidence Man (Breaking Bad)
>What Makes Albus Dumbledore So Fond of You? (Fantastic Beast and Where To Find Them)
>People Like You (Fantastic Beast and Where To Find Them)
>Indispensable/ Know How to Leave a room / Manipulation of the Media / Change the Conversation (Mad Men), really most of this Jump are social perks.
>Group Dynamics (Overlord: Videogames)
>That Moment (Blade)
>Unwitting Accomplices (Heist)
>The sun jumper (Crusader Kings)
>Beloved tyrant (Europa Universalis)
>Opposition in name only (Hearts of Iron III)
>Never Call Me That Again (Firefly)
>Mad Love (Batman: The Animated Series)
And I'm probably missing a lot, since almost all jumps come with one of these.
>Silver Spoons Feed Silver Tongues (Kingsman)
>Mojo (Austin Powers)

At this point I threat my Jumper as a memetic threat. When the Jumper asks for something, the answer is always 'yes'.

Also, here are some technically-not charisma perks, but they make people follow you and become dependent on you:

>I’d Die for Anon (Terminator)
>We’re Friends, Nothing Changes That (K-ON!)
>The League of Jumper (Batman: The Dark Knight Triology)
>You may die (but that is a sacrifice I am willing to make) (Rainbow Six Siege)
>Long Live the King (The God of High School)

Well there are a few mutants that are truly top tier, in particular Matthew Malloy, who existed to be retconned, because that's pretty much the only way he could be killed. Though special mention goes to Hope Summers, the mutant that's better than any other mutant(provided she is in proximity of that mutant) because she gets to copy their powers and make them better when she does it.

Well, it makes you immune to cheat hax instant-death spells coming from Ainz or other WCI, which removes a lot of danger from 1vs1. It also lets you use Wish freely one per day, which can warp reality.

So, I would say it's pretty much worth it for an early jumper if you can afford it.
>>
>>53807259
It doubles the strength of all your magic, halves the costs, and lets you cast one spell for free each day. It is incredibly powerful when you think about it. Use wish to create whatever Magic Item you need at the time with no consequences.

>I'd assume that you would at least meet the minimums presented in manual of the exalted: sidereals, but how fast would you meet those minimums. Assuming that there are no training perks or intelligence boosting perks from previous jumps, that is.

Well... Manual: Sidereals say this:
>Elder sidereal exalted use sorcery and artifacts to teach a lifetime of lessons in only a year and a day, giving even novices extraordinary capability."
So, you'd probably get up to speed and gain the minimum for being a Bureau of Destiny member in a year and a day if you start with absolutely nothing as a drop-in.

After that, it's probably more on you to git gud. Without anything else from previous jumps, you can probably just approximate it with the standard xp gain of 10xp per year.

Well there is Franklin, Galactus is my bitch, Richards, and a group of mutants in his power range. Also Jean is incredibly inconsistent, though she is iirc stated by the phoenix force to be without a limit on what she can do, and the phoenix force is something along the lines of the existent lifeforce/psychic power of the marvel multiverse. As for comparing things to the Ultimate Nullifier, that thing is literally a plot device to solve things, and so it's power level is at whatever they need it to fix. Though that's sort of the case with a lot of things in marvel, power levels fluctuate wildly for so many characters/things.

>I mean from what I understand even JEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN is below Galactus-tier, since Big Daddy G can use the Ultimate Nullifier to zap the multiverse and the UN is an extension of him

Nah, Jean isn't the strongest. There are several guys above her:

>Marquis of Death, basically can summon abstracts and gods to fight for him, he destroys multiverses just by existing, probably the most powerful mutant to ever exist. Also, Doom's teacher. Before you say anything about him gaining this abilities via magic, his 'young' self had the very same powers in almost the same scale.
>Franklin Richards, made Gactus his bitch, can create universes as a child in his room.
>James Jaspers, another universal/multiversal reality warper, depending on the current version. His only limitation is that he can warp a 'void' universe.
>Matthew Malloy, at least in raw power. He has to constantly suppress his powers because he can't control them and ends up having to kill himself by travelling in time.

And that's accounting for the Phoenix Force.

There are also a few others who are 'implied' to be on the same level of universal reality warping, but they never actually show any feats for it.

Also as far as mutants, at least one version of Rogue is stated to have an unlimited capacity.
>>
>>53807652
But you can't do that with the perk power, since you can't copy other power copying abilities. Through, since all of them are biological, you could just acquire his genes and fuse it with your perk-backed ability.
>>
>>53807676
No clue, never watched that series because I heard it goes to shit after the first season. A quick look at those powers on the wiki, however, revealed they only had to have physical contact with their target to use it.
>>
>>53807651
The same can be said of almost every jump. That doesn't mean that that was the intent of the jumpmakers, but honestly.
>>
>>53807699
Use Gemini Formula + The Catalyst in the same jump for that. Boom, one guaranteed copy of a power with no restrictions, as long as it's genetic.

I can't make any promises, given that someone could bring up a reasonable point that would need to be changed, but I don't expect any further significant changes in the immediate future.

>>53807636
If I am reading your use of it correctly, then yes it should be fine. The transplanted powers don't have to be used by you personally and can be given to another. And they are safe for Mortals to use.

Linker Cores aren't Biological since even though Fate is a clone of Alicia, Fate has more magic than Alicia ever did. They also aren't mechanical since its something you're born with but I think they can be artificially created, maybe.

Yeah they're more or less a meta-physical organ, not the soul but something that could be harmed as shown when Shamal took out Nanoha's Linker Core that one time.

Not too sure about it, so take it all with a grain of salt.

>>

First off, fate zero. Free servant. One saberface.

Fate stay night. Free servant. two saberfaces.

Fate extra makes three, and fate general makes four.

That's all. However, if you use other methods, such as the blue feather, then you can pick up multiple saberfaces per jump, in addition to being able to use other jumps.

Fate zero can get you into four wars, for a maximum potential 28 saberfaces. This escalates rapidly.
>>
>Giving Carmen Sandiego presence concealment EX

Good plan, bad plan, or best plan?
>>
>>53808135
Zero and Stay Night both let you make OC companions that start in that world. From there you can buy them all demiservant status. This gives 82 Saberfaces if you spend all point on companions and become a saberface in both jumps.

Set up a honeypot emulation. Have it mostly like omnic architecture- but with a handful of radical departures to sell that you're unusual -so it's familiar enough for her to just dive right in, and link up your built-in wifi to it. At no point is she actually interfacing with your code, merely a clever counterfeit into which you can put whatever sort of traps you like without compromising your primary systems.

Or, you know, just turn off your Wifi until you splatter her. Or use code architecture her puny meat brain can't keep up with and encryption that BTFO of local processing.

Even that's letting her pit hollywood hacking against feasible infosec. An actual machine-jumper would have hollywood infosec, which would probably cause her gear to spontaneously explode when she fails the first try.
>>
>>53808182
The base four assumes you aren't using companions, though you do have a point with demiservant.

...Actually, hang on. I'm assuming here that the import is for 8 companions? What's your math for 82?

I've got 35 potential servants, 16 companions, and then maybe 5 more servants as rulers. That's 56.
>>
>>53808287
Does the eight companion limit apply to OC companions from that world? That's where I'm getting 40 potential sabers from in both Zero and Stay Night.
>>
>>53808266
Yup. Comics is Earth 1610, the Ultimate comics universe, while the Animated Ultimate Spider is....Earth 12041 I think. One of the shared animated universes.
>>
>>53808320
Mysterious Heroine X and MHX Alter are gonna be fucking expensive and might go over the 1000 SP limit, btw. Try to account for that.
>>
>>53807759
Is the Heroes jump missing a power? The +600 Drawback "Displaced In Time" says it is "Mandatory with Space-Time Manipulation" but there is no Space-Time Manipulation mentioned anywhere else in the jump.
>>
>>53808320
Neither zero nor stay night seem to have an import limit, so, no.

Which means that since the cost is 50, that's 20 companions from base cp, 20 more from zero and 40 from stay night if you take drawbacks.

35 from grail wars, 5 more from rulers, and then 100 more from nothing but companion imports.

>>53808362
This is a theoretical exercise on collecting saberfaces. If you actually want an established one, like you just mentioned, companion imports will leave you shit out of luck for basically all of them.

Which is where blue feathers come in.

So that makes our Saber limit 145 Sabers.
>>

So should it be moved out of Complete to the WIP folder? Also the last two sentences of the last item is "I literally I cannot think of any items. If anyone has the time please pitch in."
>>
>>53808473
Eh, sort of? Rulers is a response to you collecting all of the servants, it's basically the grails attempt at unfucking shit and making the masters go back to murdering each other.

Avengers are the Eizenberns fault, IIRC.

Though, now that you mention it, if the grail is spitting out rulers because all the servants 'teamed up', it might create an apocrypha war, for an additional 35 servants.
>>
>>53808491
While not properly polished, it is jumpable. I'd leave it where it is for now. But that is just my opinion.
>>
>>53808531
Well if you hit the Apocrypha timeline their are theoretically hundreds of pseudo Grail Wars happening. That could allow for well over a thousand Saberfaces to be gathered by a jumper with proper preparation and a very generous interpretation of the rules.
(Is this the MHX timeline?)
>>
Reminder that, for the Charmed jump, not changing canon means that there'll be a single day where magic just turns off for a few hours. Some magic is still around, I remember that unicorns were still magic but I otherwise can't remember the rules, but OOC stuff will be more or less unstoppable during that time.

If you want to go on a rampage, that's your window of opportunity right there.
>>
>>53808491
No? Not any more than a jump should be removed for a typo or similar pointed out later.
>>
>>53807351
I suspect magical or some other meta physical thing. I doubt they're biological. They extract them using magic.
>>
>>53808569
Wait, is apocrypha not a function present in zero and stay night? I thought it was.

Anyways, all of this is counting on your ability to blackmail, mislead, or replace masters until everyone is summoning saberfaces, so rulers and apocrypha's are unrealistic.

>MHX timeline
At this rate? Yes.
>>
>>53808699
Apocrypha's function is still in Zero and Stay Night. It just doesn't get activated and Ygddmillenia never steal the grail.

It can always be activated with the flip of a switch anyway.
>>
I need more ideas for seven deadly sin Stands.

So far we have
>Greed
>Can increase density based on how net worth
>integrated/wearable Stand that can directly steal valuables
>can consume valuables for a temporary boost in power beyond what they're normally worth

>Wrath
>Can sense weaknesses
>Short range but high strength and speed

>Pride
>Illusions Too similar to Justice?
>power increases with followers
>aura that inspires adoration in non-hostile beings and terror in hostiles
>gains power when someone concedes superiority to pride

None of these are set in stone. I'm all ears to suggestions. I rolled sin magic for the Stand generator and I'm just taking the concept and going with it, but I need powers that would fit Jojo's.

Also, post awakened and requiem abilities if you have any ideas.
>>
>>53808738
In that case, all you'd need would be a decent precog to find the masters beforehand, and you'd have 15 saberfaces per war. Well, 14. Ruler doesn't have a master, so it's hard to influence who gets summoned in that spot.

Or to keep the ruler, on that note.

Anyways, 75 saberfaces from the grail wars, plus 100 from companion imports is 175 sabers from two jumps.

Oh, and Grey. So 176.
>>
>>53807383
We look forward to your replacement jump.
>>
>>53808800
Envy parasitizes the enemy's stand and allows the user of Envy to control it as if it was their own. The controller of the other stand still takes damage from their stand as normal, so making it punch itself in the face is a valid strategy.

The user of Envy can't control the enemy stand if it leaves their, somewhat large, range, but the stand remains infected until either the user of Envy is defeated, or they recall Envy. Envy being away from the user also means they're defenseless.

An upgrade (maybe awakened or requiem, maybe just advancement and mastery of your abilities) could be remaining awake while taking over another body, controlling multiple people, or controlling Stand and it's user instead of just one or the other at a time.

Jumpers probably have somewhere from 10-20 Gnosis just by virtue of their existence (That is, /all/ adventurers should have 10-20, because otherwise they wouldn't be important enough to have become adventurers and would have gotten eaten by a demon along the way or something. I realize the jump doesn't make this clear, but consider it a jumpmaker ruling: If you go to Anima, you may assume you have a gnosis of 10, 15, or 20, your choice).

Certain spells can drag you up to 25, but come with the consequence of turning you into something that can be affected by summoning abilities with no saving throw, though inherent magic resist is still somewhat effective. A couple races inherently hit 30, with the same problem.

Tap into Megas Therion and cast Ascension as a high level Divine Spell, and you can get up to 45 IIRC.

Elan with... Erebus, I want to say his name is, and you have the ability to turn into a Gnosis... 40, I think, being while in the Wake, that is, the realm of dreams.

A Practical Guide to Evil update, an Anima update (High Magic's going to be replaced with a perk that lets you become a living Sanctum, and I kinda wanna expand the scenarios a bit), Kubera: One Last God if I can get the Transcendent Skills to work, and GURPS Technomancer. I'm also poking around with Fairy Fencer F and Mother of Learning, but I've yet to beat the former and the latter's still being written, so I'm not really counting those.

>>53810203
Technically, they were, but now they're all dead, since Gaira and C'iel ate them. There's a group of functional gods that replaced them, the Shajads and Beryls, and they're dicks as well, IMO. A couple of them are on the nicer side, like Erebus is pretty cool, but generally, yeah, they're jerks.

Marvel Anon
Couple minor things about the Honorverse jump.
The national origin perks, add a standard : 200 CP, Free XXX to each perk so they match the other perks, and a new perk
>Citizen in Spirit: 200 CP, Free Drop In
to cover the Drop In's ability to choose any of the other national perks.

The T-Years to Sphinxian Years, move it from the notes to drawback section as a +0 option. That is where most of those are in other jump, and where most people look for them.

speaking of drawbacks, I thought of one.
>Don't cut yourself on the Bleeding Edge
you know how the science in the books keeps marching on, and what was the newest thing in one book, wasn't a few books later. This drawback would apply that to any out of jump tech you introduce, where countermeasures would be developed within 2 year of initial use.

I also kind of expected some scenarios there.
Like there are alien races in the setting, and all are non entities on space scene because mankind got there first.

A scenario could be to have all known alien races sovereign in their own solar systems, or equal partners with humans at least in systems where large scale human colonization has already occurred.

Or how the Solarian League is set to implode. A scenario could be to keep the Solarian Core Worlds, with the corruption cut away so the reality actually matches the propaganda and party line.

The Ship, you need to add a dock or shipyard warehouse attachment to the ship, something to allow you to store it in the warehouse. Also the 300 CP properties need the option to be warehouse attachments after the jump.

They are just so out of place in some settings, that importing them as past of the setting would change the background of the setting a lot, and if they were not accepted and just plopped down, governments are freaking out about tourist space stations and warships appearing in orbit or 5th dimensional Imps reenacting the plot of 'The Dome'

>Chooser of the Slain (Free and Restricted to Valkyrie)
>The Battle Maiden's main duty revolves around collecting the souls of the chosen dead, training them further as warriors, and sending them to Valhalla to serve as Odin's soldiers when the time is ready. To properly perform this mission, you're now capable of absorbing the souls of the willing dead, convinced through honest methods or foul, into your body. There they reside, fully aware of themselves and separate from your own, their only method of interaction being to speak with you should you will it. Theoretically, there's no upper limit to how many souls you may hold at a time in this fashion. The second aspect of this ability is that of Materialization, the use of your own divine energy to give the souls a temporary physical body and summon them into the world as Einherjar. To all outside observers, your Einherjar resemble living humans, though as masses of Materialization Energy given human form, they lack many of the physical flaws a normal humans would have, such as the need to eat, the need for rest, and a lack of vital organs. They can't even die unless they're attacked by something that can destroy a soul, as a slain Einherjar will return to you automatically and can be summoned again, though it will take time for them and your Materialization Energy to recover.

Might want to pick up a few anti-mind control perks beforehand, though.

>>53810629
>While at first their strength is equal to what it was in life, Einherjar can continue training with you and steadily grow in power and skill, even learning new abilities if you can teach them, with the only true limit being the strength of their souls. However, with their existence bound to you, Einherjar can typically only wander an area the size of a large modern city around you before automatically returning to you without suffering any harm. The final restriction is that summoned Einherjars Materialization Energy is derived from your own internal stores. Because of this, there's somewhat of a limit to how many you can use at once. To have your Einherjar fight at full power, you can only summon four of them at once, and although this isn't a hard limit, the more you summon beyond this number, the weaker they become, even if only in endurance. An army of Einherjar summoned at once would be a field of paper tigers. One thing to note is that while you're here, you're expected to send Einherjar that are ready to Valhalla and that things could end poorly if Odin thinks you're slacking off, though who, when, and how many is entirely up to you. Post-jump, you may simply release your Einherjar to pass on to the afterlife if you ever wish to free them.

Just being able to do High Magic felt a bit underwhelming when there's a decent number of ways to achieve that even without a perk, and the rest of the 600's function along the lines of actually breaking some sort of rule. So instead you get to enchant yourself as if you were a living magical fortress! Yay! Of course, if you still want High Magic without work, one of the enchantments that come with the Sanctum is using High Magic while in it, and being a living one, you're always in it, so yeah.

And yeah, Kubera's the Hindu mythology one.

>>53810568
No one knows! The gods all suddenly murder each other, and then Gaira and C'iel were left (and probably to blame for all the deaths, which is why I said they ate them). They then each raised 7 minions, the Shajad and Beryls respectively, and then basically set themselves up as the new functional gods. I don't think they're keeping anything out, but they're an important faction that's payed attention to by all the parties in the 3 way mexican standoff going on between the Powers in the Shadows. On the other hand, the Imperium wants to murderize them, and the Imperium's all about protecting humanity (their utter dickishness in their attempts to do so aside), so at the very least, whatever's out there, the Imperium thinks it can take them if it manages to kill them off.

No, you don't turn into a physically anchored Sanctum like a tower, instead you alter your soul or enchant your body to become the equivalent of a sanctum, radiating the beneficial effects and area of influence around you.

Though it would be funny if you need to adorn yourself with increasingly architectural clothing (flying buttresses!) or body modifications (flying buttresses!) to meet the ritual/cost factor of regular sanctums.

Also, if you can smack down the other Powers, they'll probably ease up on it on their own. Their first attempt at protecting humanity was basically, "Give humanity ALL THE MAGITECH" and they only changed their mind to "Blind them with ignorance" because they were afraid that the other powers would get pissed off and start a fight that would end reality.

Then don't buy the perk? You can legit just learn how to use Divine Magic just by getting a high enough level and learning a metamagic branch, so it's not like it's restricting you in any way by me removing the perk. In practice, it was effectively just, "You pay half price on spells from level 80-90, and there's only, like, 3 of those per path", so... yeah.
>>
>>53810910

No more so than the ability to ignore your end of a Pact.

And honestly, it's well within the scope of Anima's supernatural set-up - just very, very, advanced. The kind of thing that Imperium might be be interested in dissecting you to study, and Wissenschaft... well, they'd probably want to dissect you anyway.

You can also just create a traditional Sanctum, and sit in there drinking tea and nibbling on wizard snacks while remote-piloting a giant fucking monster.
>>

>You can legit just learn how to use Divine Magic just by getting a high enough level and learning a metamagic branch
But that won't be backed by fiat.
>>
>>53811007
It doesn't really make sense to be a perk though. Even your other 'rule breaker' perks are at least boosted or removing limits from existing stuff. This one doesn't have any basis at all in working like it does.

The ability to cast magic is fiat-backed, and gaining a Gnosis score is also effectively fiat-backed.

High and Divine Magic just require you to personally develop your Gnosis by being kindof a big deal, or cheating like a wizard.

But they're still a part of the base magical ability.

High and Divine Magic are a part of the ability to cast magic. They're not a distinct ability, they're just the most powerful applications of the principles of each Path, and require a special level of cosmic significance for the engines of reality to allow you to pull them off.

And being able to gain the Gnosis to make those spells function is part of being an inhabitant of Gaia. You can't *not* have Gnosis.

Most importantly, you've been told by the person who wrote the jump that your interpretation is wrong.

... It's not a power. It's literally the equivalent of learning a new spell. Like, literally literally, not figuratively, literally. As in, it uses the exact same rules as learning new spells. As in the rules are, "When I learn how to do this, it's as if I learned 10 new spells."

>>53811122
How do expect me to check?

>>53811136
... I don't understand your question. It's a point based Tabletop RPG. Literally everything that works the way it does in the series, you can just... learn on your own. It would make blowing 600 CP on it pointless.

Furthermore, a lot of them are changes that adjust things to make them usable in the context of a Chain instead of the game. Normally, setting up a Sanctum costs you permanent parts of your soul, which don't heal. Forcing you to pay that /every 10 years/ is fucking terrible.

Powerful Soul's "healing soul" is similar- item crafting requires that you pay part of your soul that will never heal, or sacrifice creatures that no longer exist out-of-world. Making you stuck with those as your only options would be terrible, because they'd functionally lock off a good part of the setting.

Hey about the Charmed jump.

How do power stealing measures?

I'm guessing the steal-by-murder Power Absortion is the same as steal-by-athame-murder. slow development and weaker overall.

And that the power mimic is a 1:1 copy. That can grow like a natural power.

And the Power Replication is a one-power-at-a-time photograph that is only as strong as the copied power, which never develops or atophiates. good for copying power-boosted poeple.

Outside of Charmed's clearly defined 'powers', how much can these take?

For example... some high-end anime ability like DxD exponential powerboosting? or Superman's bullshit strength? is there an actual limit for either athame/absortion, replication or mimic? like, 'copied/taken powers are scaled down to around Charmed's canon powers'?

For that mater, touching superman would only allow to copy his strength, fligth, speed, eye beams; but only one. But what about, say, a devil fruit? To Aru espers have a single power they twist around but in One Piece the Logia have element shifting, element generation, element control... are those the same as supe's? Ignoring the shifting, can their element-generation be considered part of their element-kinesis?

Actually that would be really fun. I'm imagining perks that force people to just have to put up with you being completly insufferable.

The only other vauge idea I've had for a MoL j(beyond the super obvious) is a section where you choose your level of finesse with shaping and the size of your reserves (0cp for average with higher costs for better stats, maybe a +100 if you go below average). And then some perk that servers the link between mana capacity and mana control, so you could go and develop Zach's crazy reserves on your own time without dealing with destroying your ability to heal or whatever.
>>
>>53811540
You're an object. That's the issue.

The limits are in the notes. That the Power must be magical is the main one. So no, you couldn't copy anything from Superman.

Right now? Information gathering, highjacking wards and other passive defenses, ritual casting, "Soul Kill" which actually just prevents people from using any sort of casualty manipulation powers and in-jump kicks them out of the loop, and in /dire/ need of replacement but stuck there until I get a better one, "Dangerous Failures" which is basically that your spells failing isn't really any safer for your targets than if they'd been successful, based off the statements about necromancy failures being pretty much as dangerous as the successes, but that /really/ doesn't feel like a Red Robe thing so much as something that would go in a hypothetical Lich origin.

So, I don't have a benefactor in my current chain so much as world's reject my current jumper after a certain amount of time. This is an issue because I need 100 CP more in drawbacks in Young Justice and want to take the Jumpchan! drawback. You have fiat backing just by buying the 100 CP Gift of Magic perk, or succeeding at the Megas Therion scenario. High and Divine magic are attainable in the setting with just that gift, so that perk would grant fiat protection to anything possible with that perk and effort if you need to so badly.

For a Level 10 Mentalist...
(1,500 x 0.6 / 10) + 10 = 100

For a level 13 Warrior Mentalist or Wizard Mentalist
1,800 x 0.5 / 10 + 13 = 103

You were probably basing of one of those classes, which are better classes long term then the mentalist.
My point was that there are probably people in the setting with 100 PP.

So if you were going to keep the perk, bump the PP to 144 or 150.

And how about letting the Jumper 'uninvest' PP? Like if he isn't using a power he pumped a lot of PP into to boost the skill roll, he can turn that power back into pure PP to recover all the PP he spent on it?

Except you're not, really. You're using it to anchor something inside your body... which is something that changes quite fluidly, in Jumpchain, generally speaking. There's a reason I used a PAINT metaphor. The nature of the wall isn't changing by being painted.

As a soul does get changed by Jumpchain, too! Go to RWBY? Your soul changes to let you use AURA. Go to a Souls game-verse? It changes to absorb fragments of other souls! Go to Soul Eater? It being in the ki tree is a bit of a problem, because powers sacrifices are an issue system wide, especially in later jumps, and affect mages harder. with enchantment, and familiars and sheeles. And I don't know how much benefit if gives to Ki users unless you make custom MA moves around it.

It might be better as a 300 CP general perk. Maybe an upgrade to the 'free' 'Jumpers have Gnosis 20' thing you mentioned

One of the worst things is that it forces you to pay capstone-prices for the defining feature of your class, which is something that anyone in-setting can learn, which is specifically a point of pride for its practitioners as something that /isn't/ an innate talent. Of course, the jumpmaker provided a shaky justification as to the reason why.

Drop-Ins basically already get one national perk without being "physically" from there, so I'm not sure what I'd add. If that wasn't clear, I can put in a line noting so. Can also make the formatting change, though I figured it would be clearer as it was.

Can move it to drawbacks, eventually, though there's not really any effects to such a change.

Might be able to add that as a drawback, or something similar.

I'm really not a good enough author to handle scenarios, so I probably won't add any. Both of those could actually just be handled as standard drawbacks, so I may do so.

Should probably add some kind of mention of how the ship follows you, yes; haven't had to do so yet, all of my items in the past have been small enough to fit in standard warehouses so I didn't think about it.

No, the properties don't necessarily need to be warehouse attachments, or at least I don't think so. They automatically appear in a suitable place and "fit in," making them an attachment would have to make them more expensive and that may be prohibitive. Making literally everything so that it automatically excited no worry even if you used it in other jumps would be really weird; we don't insert guarantees like that on powers or other items, why do it on properties?

>>53810572
Depending on the nation, either it's brand new advanced prototype stuff, it's stolen from somewhere else, or it's just there.

Assuming it's large enough you still need a crew (remember they get free Automation to reduce crew sizes to about 3% of normal) then it's crewed by "generic NPCs," which I'm told are now considered Followers. Same is true for non-Drop Ins, though then they're of whatever nation you're from or whatever you styled the ship as. Can clarify.

If updates don't happen in the next few days, they'll be a few weeks; I'll be out of service for a bit.

I'm making another new chain after retiring my Main Chain. Gurren Lagann Endjump scenario ftw. Man will learn to use spiral energy responsibly and peace will reign between the spirals and antispirals. Also more fateposting.

So I'm making a native jumper who's a blank slate as they were an einzbern homunculi (Who is also going to be an Arturia Demiservant, and there's going to be struggles around getting a seperate identity shoved inside your head when you didn't even have much of one in the first place. Fun fun.), and this chain's themes are going to be based around identity and being a hero.

With that in mind, I'm unsure which servant Aria (The jumper in question) should summon for the Grail War. This will be a Fate/Zero jump. And that's why I'm asking you guys which servant I should pick because I'm at a loss.

I need the servant to be cheap (Ideally), really loves life and wouldn't really mind teaching jumper how to enjoy life. For the love of god do not suggest Gilgamesh because he's expensive

Yes. It eventually lets you eat souls too. In one route the spirit eater can take, they end up insta gibing a bunch of epic levels. Then a bunch of the gods raise up a huge army to go kill them. A bunch of the supposedly invincible and immortal gods die alongside the majority of their fuckhuge army. They claim they killed the spirit eater, but the god of death says they just managed to force the spirit eater to retreat.
I was surprised it was added in as an option to be honest. It outclasses everything else in the jump by miles and miles.

My Nasufagness calls for autism.
Emiya can't become a heroic spirit anymore because no one can become a heroic spirit anymore (unless they make a deal with the world). It isn't possible for anyone born after about 1920 to become a heroic spirit because people can no longer properly believe in miracles and miracles are what make people into heroic spirits. Everything that one person can do is on a broad scope believed to be something that anyone could do if they tried hard enough.

Nasu humanity believes hard work and guts can let anyone be a hero so no one gets to become a magic hero ghost anymore.

That, or Emiya made people believe in miracles. What with doing magic and all

>Making literally everything so that it automatically excited no worry even if you used it in other jumps would be really weird; we don't insert guarantees like that on powers or other items, why do it on properties?
We kind of DO have insert guarantees on perks, as you can not use them, or sandbag your actual capabilities. Alt-forms were introduced by quicksilver with the races in mass effect because automatically being an alien in all later jumps closes the door on a lot of writefags. Items you can just leave in the warehouse.

The properties need the ability to stay in the warehouse so you can choose NOT to have white elephants in later jump. Towers larger then anything on earth, that could house entire cities cannot exist in isolation without remark in many settings. It they were always there expect a lot of knock on effects in construction, industry, city planning, regional importance, etc. And if they just show up out if the blue, then huge worldwide media attention. Now some jumpers have isolated countries where the huge difference in standard of living never effects the rest of the world ala Marvel's Latveria and Wakanda, or a Bermuda Triangle archipelago they can put that stuff. but otherwise, these properties can become trap options if you force them in every later jump.

The same way taking power armor had you start every later jump wearing it, instead of just having it available. Which is why items don't work that way. Smaller properties are not so bad. There is some restraint somewhere you own can be ignored by the world. Suddenly space stations with neon billboards visible from the planet cannot.

An sanctum can be any area of space. You could have a random 100 meter sphere of empty space a mile up be a sanctum, where you could do High Magic there.

Is there anyone that isn't a shitposter anymore? It seems like everyone from the most prolific jumpmaker to a person with an opinion is considered a shitposter here.
>>
>>53813038
>Are you trying to argue that properties
I'm arguing the decision to have a property present (or not present) in a particular jump should be one the jumper makes for each jump on a per jump basis, and not one forced on him by the jumpmaker of an earlier jump by forcing that property into every later jump regardless of how it might effect the setting.
>>
>>53813072
I imagine many people do have shitposts. The problem is that some people - like the one I was pointing to, there - is either being deliberately stupid, or completely ignoring the point people are trying make. To say that allowing you to treat something like something else turns that thing into something else is absurd. You can use many things AS/LIKE a crowbar, but that doesn't turn it into a literal crowbar. I'm trying to use similes and metaphor to get the point across, they're just stating their stance like it's all they need. Not trying to substantiate their position, beyond 'treating it like it is makes it that'. See my rebuttals against such.
>>
>>53813067

>>53813072
There are two options which could lead to the opinion you've expressed. Either: a) you're a dedicated shitposter, or b) you're a retarded, entitled little shit. Either way, you're stirring up shit for a flimsy-ass "interpretation" of a theoretical perk, and your opinion is worthless.

>I'm really not a good enough author to handle scenarios, so I probably won't add any. Both of those could actually just be handled as standard drawbacks, so I may do so.
Scenarios aren't that hard, getting unnecessarily detailed with them is actually a problem, because there should be more than one way to accomplish them.

What makes a lot of scenarios different is they don't count against drawback limits. A lot of them don't penalize you for failure, but instead offer a reward you only get if you succeed.

Others can take longer than the standard ten years, so instead give you the CP reward up front, but you cannot leave until you accomplish the scenario (so letting the goal become impossible to accomplish means an effective decision to stay, until you permadie and are sent home.)
>>
>>53813238
Aside from Light of Terra there really aren't any detailed scenarios and really it's just a good way to put in extra rewards and give more CP. Just follow how other jumpmakers have done it like DeSu and Digger, I think those two are the most well known for using scenarios.

>Works for me.

Sorry about the contusion.
Something like "Property can be present at the start of a jump, in which case it is part of the jump history somehow, or deployed at a later date once the jump, in which case it is a new structure. The deployment cannot be reversed until the jump ends (or ten years pass once your chain ends)"

The ship could still use some sort of berth for servicing, refits, repairs, and shore leave though.

3: Western Genre Jumps
4: Martial Arts Jumps
5: Cyberpunk Jumps
6: Space Opera Jumps
7: Jumpers Choice
8: Worlds Probably Doomed Jumps

Where each roll except 7 would have a new d8 roll with jumps in that genre.
A jumpers roll lets you choose the specific jump you want, including replacing one of the Genres above with a different one, like a Monster Genre, a Super Hero genre, Horror, Conspiracy, Xianxia, etc.

The weight of the character is unbalanced compared to other typefaces.

Because of the uneven weight of the characters the letters don't fit together properly. Try typing fox in Helvetica and comic sans, and you'll notice that comic sans doesn't fit together properly.

Overall this makes it okay to read in short blobs Like the speech bubbles in c o m i c s but real unpleasant for reading paragraphs.

> but you can't get away with saying that nowadays without being called a shitposter
That's because shitposters use him for shitposting. If there's any negative opinion about a jumpmaker, someone will run that into the ground just to stir up vitriol.

There was a time when we were able to have multilayered or complex opinions like functional human beings in the real world, but when thread after thread goes by where someone thinks it's fun to bring a namefag out of nowhere and repeatedly shit on them with no context, after about a week of that it ruins any form of subtlety or nuance, and then it keeps going on for several more months because jokes never get old apparently.

So now if I say something like "I think dirge's jumps read like a tech manual", that just fades into the background noise of "dirge dirge dirge dirge" that we hear every day and people tell me to shut up, and I can't even really blame them. I don't really like dirge, and even I still don't want to talk about how people don't like dirge.

Shitposters: bringing the thread together in feelings of "oh my god just shut the fuck up already"
>>

I've said it before but all the actual shitposter is doing is making it so that there's no way to make any criticism or any replacement of anything that Dirge has done. It's gotten so bad that even if you just mention one bit that's negative the assumption is that you're the one shitposter.

It's a shame too since there are anons who could do a good job of replacing what's there but can't because the environment has been made so hostile. I don't know if the shitposter even finds this joke to be funny anymore or if he's doing it out of habit.

I don't get what you're trying to do here. We've had replacements before and if we get a good jump out of it that's a good thing. This isn't even a case where the original jumpmaker has said no, so what's wrong with people trying if they feel they can do a good job? You either have no faith in other jumpmakers or you're just trying to raise an argument.

Permission granted under coercion from shitposters doesn't count.

One of the bigger issues is that people who want his jumps replaced seldom seem to grasp the concept that amazingly enough, not everybody agrees with them that the jumps should in fact be replaced. Me, for one.

This makes talking to them extremely frustrating when they start operating from the premise everyone has already agreed with them, which makes them come off as condescending and obnoxious.

How about the fact that the jumps you're trying to replace are monolithic and important for a number of people's chains? The fact that any replacement is going to pale in comparison, guaranteed to invalidated pretty much everyone's builds for the current version, and shitposted for eternity by the very same shitposter that's pushing for them to be made?

Do you actually believe the shitposter would get anything from Dirges jumps actually being replaced? No, he doesn't give a shit, he just wants to piss us off.

What do you think he'd do if we capitulated and lat replacements go through, or just removed Dirges jumps from the drive like he's claimed to want? He'd just use that a the basis for shitposting in the opposite direction, or change targets, because his only reason for existing is to make the thread terrible.
