Last one for now.
Before you ask, it's caulk or some shit. If you're not sure about it, google the product in the top image's name. It's in Polish so you'll have to do a bit of digging.
What can I use for priming with a regular brush? Have heard mixed opinions about Imperial Primer, also are Vallejo primers usable without an airbrush?
>>53707866
its school glue
Is there a general guide for skin/flesh? I tried different methods but few of them are decent, and none good.
>>53707784
I finished some Death Guard Terminators - just in time to realize that Death Guard Terminators are no longer a thing!
>>53708568
Just remember you're painting the undertone at first. It rarely even resembles the end color until third layer.
Most human complexions are fine with Tallarn Flesh/Bugman's Glow as a start, you just have to dial it lighter or darker from there.
>>53708581
I like them. I guess you can still use them as counts-as for something? Haven't followed 8th much (I still play with 5th)
Are those scythes from anvil industry?
>>53708581
Acknowledgement of futility and the energy to slog on in spite of it is the spirit of Nurgle as described in the original Realms of Chaos books.
You did good
>>53708581
I've also managed two fuck up the last row in my compostie shot. Go me!
>>53708620
Thank you Anon. Yeah, i can still use them as undivided Termies, still kind of a letdown after all the work i put into finally converting and painting some proper cult troops. Scythes are indeed from Anvil Industry, i can only recommend them for this kind of job.
>>53708665
They'll be a thing again soon, when the proper deathguard release comes (with the plaguemarine kit, some termies and mortarion etc). Also I think we'll get our codex (hopefully Chaos/CSM, but some seem to think standalone Deathguard, which sounds stupid) among the first codex releases.
Working on this guy for a while now. Slow and steady, but just did his rusty bronze belt. Thoughts?
>>53708665
>>53708620
Given that we've seen a Death Guard terminator in the teaser video that teased Mortarion's scythe, it would be very surprising if there weren't rules coming for DG terminators very soon in the same release as Mortarion (presumably a codex). Have some faith.
How do you guys keep your painting shemes organized for army painting? I mean like do you paint every mini in the army by the same sheme or do you make slight changes with every mini?
I was hoping to find like a piece of software that had all the pains and a neat way to organize them. Only found than on the android appstore so far but that's basic;
>>53708894
What do you mean? Its not a big task to just use the same paints for the same stuff?
>>53708936
I just like to keep shit organized and note down with what i did "what", sort of speaking so that i can repeat effects without going "wich paints did i use then?".
Something like warscroll but for paints.
>>53708665
really good work, especially like the one in the third row, far right!
>>53708956
MS Excel.
>>53708994
I feel like i'm caught in this loop, i'm already using excel but want to leave it and everyone keeps pointing me back towards it.
Maybe it's time to start developing what i need instead of relying on the community.
Who here has experience with Rustoleum sprays? I had exclusively used GW ones but i wanted to try some other brands and people put Rustoleum in good regards
I got plastic white primer and the Mode grey, as well as one of the 'advanced forumla' coppers [im doing Minotaurs]
Anything i should know? Did i get the wrong primers?
>>53709298
I use it for terrain where detail is a non-issue. Never dared use it on a mini, you can tell just how thick the paint coat gets, it'll kill the recesses in your mini.
>>53708493
Imperial primer is pretty shit, but I've heard good things about Vallejo.
>>53709061
>Maybe it's time to start developing what i need instead of relying on the community.
So what features to you need that Exel doesn't have?
I mean for tracking paintschemes all you basically need is a piece of paper and a pen. You write down what colors you used and in what order you did that.
It's just a list with some notes basically.
And Excel or the google equivalent should be more than up to the task.
I'm kind of drawing a blank on what what else you could possibly need to track it?
>>53709061
I've got your back anon.
Here's how i do it: For every army i start, i pick up a single page of paper and draw a crude scetch of the go-to soldier, with all the usual details. Armour, Skin, Leather, you name it. Then i go on and put on blotches of the paint that i use on those sections. i make short comments on how to thin or mix certain paints.
Boom. That's all there is to it. Just a pen and some paper. Fking magic.
Wanna get silencers for my Ork pistols, similar to pic related. Any bits I can loot from, or do I have to use plasticard rod?

When is a good time to dry brush? Pretty much only for stone and metals? Or could you use it on leather as in the leather on a shield?
>>53708581
Don't worry, bro. They teased images of death guard terminator models already. When they do a full release for dg rather than the starter set you'll get the rules you seek.

>>53711222
Anything on the sculpt that has a strong texture. Think furs and the like.
You can drybrush on flat surfaces too, but I'd only use that if you want to add some texture via painting there, cause it'll end up looking a bit chalky usually.
People used to drybrush tanks with big brushes all the time to bring out the raised detail and edges for example.
These days most tutorials tell you to wash around that stuff.
There isn't really a right or wrong way to do it, but you gotta know the limits of the technique and when you can use it to your advantage.
>>53708544
is that PVA gule?
I was having some beers and watching duncan on my phone. Saw his screamer tutorial and had a hard on to paint some demons. My friend had some old screamers primed that he'd never painted and he was happy to have me bang em out.
I gotta say, as someone who normally paints elite infantry, its super refreshing to just paint some mooks whose models eat up lazy paint techniques.
Anyone else ever just see something that looks easy and satisfying to get results out of and get a strong urge to paint it? Kinda want to steal some of my other friends unpainted gaunts or cron warriors now.
>>53711497
I can understand that you like screamers with their texture, but gaunts? They don't offer much detail and even painted to a very high standard won't realy stand out of a horde army.
>>53708665
>>53708581
how'd you paint them? they look great!
>>53711625
Honestly, I'm just kinda in the mood to paint any horde army right now that doesn't have a lot of details.
I think its cause I'm coming out of finishing a triumvirate and a bunch of deathwatch
I'm looking for very small drone models that look like they're just large enough to mount a stormbolter on. (and similar specialist-size weapons)
Both crawling and hovering drones are acceptable.
Around the size of tau gun drones is fine.
>>53711292
Yes. But if you know what pva glue is like when its dry you'll know that this stuff doesn't dry very hard, its almost rubbery. Make of that what you will.
>>53711727
You can get some jumppack backpacks from puppetswar that look pretty much like drones if you mount them horizontally on a flying base.
Saw someone doing that and it looked pretty good.
You can also get blisterpacks with various kinds of drones for Gates of Antares.
Antenociti used to have their own sci-fi range of minis, but I'm not sure if they still sell any of the infantry minis. They used to have drones too.
Bombshell has some drones with various configurations you could use for something like that.
These would probably even work for an AdMech or Dark Mechanicus type army pretty well right out of the box if that is something you are trying to do.
I think Blight Wheel have a bunch of smaller crawling spider like drones that should work for anything 40k too.
>>53711727
>>53711835
Oh and I forgot to add that sometimes looking at 15mm minis may be a good idea too.
A 15mm tanks could make a nice 28mm gun drone.
Been awhile since I've posted, so here's a bunch of shit I've been working on.
>>53710393
why would you not use plastic rod
will be cheaper and the exact fucking same as any aftermarket thing
It doesnt even matter if it looks chunky cause orks
>>53708493
>also are Vallejo primers usable without an airbrush
Yup. I use the Game Color White Primer. Kinda thin, so you end up doing layer after layer, but it works fine. Beware of larger models- it'll take you a million years. For that shit- vehicles and what have you- just get a spray.
>>53710824
Very nice, friendo. I will say, through, the shield on Lefty and the tail on Snekman look a bit flat. The tail isn't as much of a big deal, but the wash on the shield looks splotchy and hideous. Also, Righty McPoints is getting more work on his skin, yes? Needs a stronger highlight.

They're going to be used to represent wargear for an Inquisitor model, so that all she needs to personally carry is her sword without having to worry about magnetizing a dozen arms.
Puppetwar's ROTOR type WING-PACK are great, but simply too large.
Those Gates of Antares are adorable and my only worries about them is that they might be too small. They remind me of Mags from Phantasy Star, so I might pick up some anyway...
Bombshell suffers from overpricing of sub-par sculpt quality. (That, or they need to hire much better painters for their store images) $5 for a single 16mm figure is hard to commit to.
Blight Wheel's Mecha Arachnids are great! It looks like I could even put a conversion beamer on one.if they didn't take them away from inquisitors, anyway. Same with all the ordo Xenos gear.
Thanks again!

Anyone know what bits they used for the Tac Squad?
Those shields are sick.
>>53712819
Seeing as they're Minotaurs, they're likely made from mostly Forgeworld parts.
I know those combatshields are forgeworld.
>>53711851
Those are sick, anon. Especially loving the the top three on the left and the one on the top right.
What game are these minis from?
>>53712863
Kingdom Death maybe, atleast the lion thing looks that way
>>53712855
>I know those combatshields are forgeworld.
Ah, you're right. They're from the LEGION MKIII BREACHER SIEGE SQUAD.
I have zero knowledge on FW rules but do those shields grant any special rules or can the be applied for pure aesthetic looks when playing GW games?
>>53712863
They're all Kingdom Death miniatures, like >>53712885 said.
From Top-Left to Bottom Right:
People of the Stars Male
People of the Stars Female
Dragon King Human Form
Dung Ball (belongs to Dung Beetle Knight)
Slenderman
Survivors in Rawhide Armour (I think) and Lion Armour
The guy with the 3 ladies on his base is the Lion Knight Second.
So I got this in the mail yesterday. It came with a 60mm base, so I picked up some of those Sector Mechanicus bases from my LGS for variety. However... it still feels like the base is too small. Gf had the brainwave to stick it on a 130mm (Onager) base, but add a satellite figure (Techpriest, Enginseer, Datasmith) as well. Any suggestions?
Not mine, but how's it look?
>>53713138
Bad, honestly.
Chunky paint, bad details, mold lines still present. There's a lot of room to improve. Tell the painter to look at some videos or articles like this:

Sounds like you want servo skulls. Forgeworld has some, or you could just stick some gubbinz on skulls. You can always use bigger skulls for bigger gear.
Shotgun+frag cannon squad basically done. Im excited to work on the corvus blackstar now. I really wanna make some kind of flare or smoke beacon on its base to make it look like it's being signalled to evacuate a kill team.
>>53713441
Sounds like you underestimate the size of guns. One would have to use an ork warboss' skull to make a servo with a meltagun not look stupidly undersized.
If they wanted servo skulls, they would have asked about them. (or might not have at all, seeing how easily those are to obtain and scratch build)
How would I go about making my own Astrogranite Debris, for scenery purposes?

>>53713835
Texture paint? Just sand/grit and paint. Plenty of guides around and generally it's a variation on that theme. Other companies sell equivalents in larger and usually cheaper formats than GW.

Airbrush with thinned Tamiya Gunmetal (thin all Tamiya colours with Tamiya X-20A Thinner)
Airbrush from top of model with thinned Tamiya Flat Aluminum
Mix Tamiya Clear Green with Tamiya Clear Blue in 10/90 mix and airbrush over the model in 2 light, thin coats
Airbrush armour panels with Tamiya Clear Blue. Blend from middle of figure down, so the strongest blue colour is at the bottom of the armour panels
Airbrush from the middle upwards with Tamiya Clear Green, so strongest green colour is at the top of the armour panels
Using an airbrush, blend a highlight on the highest panels (head, shoulder pads, top of backpack) with Tamiya Flat Aluminum with a tiny amount of very thinned down Tamiya Sky Blue
Apply thinned coat of Tamiya Clear Blue over the highlight and blend into the surrounding area
Silver: basecoat with Citadel Leadbelcher, highlight with Vallejo Model Air Steel and wash with Citadel Nuln Oil
Chipping: hit edges with Citadel Leadbelcher in striking motions and highlight with Citadel Ironbreaker
Originally he'd said to use Citadel Leadbelcher and Ironbreaker in a 50/50 mix for step 1, but now he says to do all the airbrushing with Tamiya paints and all the brushwork with the Citadel and Vallejo paints.

Okay, i see it has already been posted.
You should have done the rest of the eldar white also, and black-white color for the vehicles are a bit dull. Bluish -purple you used on the sash and white complementary color would have been a better choice for scheme. And while you are at it , buy some masking tape and paint them in caunter camo scheme.
>>53714672
The white paint scheme are for the trueborn because it takes much longer to paint than the black. The black is for the standard warriors. I'll try the other paint scheme on a different raider.

I'm kind of glad I was such a non-option in highschool I literally didn't know about anything in terms of popularity rankings or anything like that. I could make friends with pretty much any guy but women were always dumb cunts that had nothing in common with me. I graduated in 2011. I've never kissed a girl before and my school timeline basically went like this.
>middle school was runescape/everquest
>high school was FFXI/WoW/Chromehounds/Call of Duty/Dwarf Fortress/D&D and Warhammer 40k tabletop.
My friends girlfriends hated me because of Warhammer Night. I basically had no shame in highschool and brought my Orks to school with me because I took the bus/walked to games workshop sometimes after school. Turns out guys are guys and even popular hipster guys (I live in washington so the tops of our school were more newmales than jocks even in 2011), anyways I basically got a bunch of them addicted to 40k and we'd play every single weekend instead of going to parties and their girlfriends were pissed they were playing with plastic models instead of buying them shit and taking them on dates.

the quick and easy trick is putting down random splotches, anon.
I fear you might be in a predicament here.
Seriously though, just keep going until it looks right.
You want a medium base, a dark and a light tone to add the splotches with. After you've done that you can just wash that mother and you should be done with it.
Just some snow and I can finally call these god forsaken mongols done. Until I get a toothpick or something and paint the eyes.

>>53718511
Dots of various colors. Stripes can be very effective and are pretty simple. Think Zebra but not white and black. Something like tan and olive drab. There are also "thunder bolt" designs, which are pretty obvious geometric shapes that are in set colors. Paint the boots of the orks in light colors and the rest of their gear in dark colors for countershading. Zig-zags can also work for camo, similar to the bolts.
>>53719159
Thank you for stating what has already been said. Pic related is what is in the picture, and is Vicol Elastyczna Spoina. Elastyczna Spoina translates into English as "Flexible Weld". Googling "Elastyczna Spoina" shows you pictures of other brands, and they're being used as caulk.

Got new Macragge Blue basecoat spray. Love it so far.
To those arguing over whether it's a primer or not in the previous WIP threads, it's not strong enough to "tooth" to the plastic on it's own (tried it with a sprue and some old necrons), however a dust of Chaos Black or black primer will sort that for you.
Got these guys basecoated, photo is a bit meh, but the finish is surprisingly good for the lack of effort involved. Going to selectively wash the panels/lines in the armour with Nuln Oil and then pick out the edge highlights with Calgar Blue. Nothing too special, but enough to get my first army painted to a pleasing standard in over 12 years.
Noticed I have a giant thumb print on the base of one of the dudes, before you point it out.
Also, any suggestions for painting gold? Are the Citadel golds still shit or have they improved?
>>53720133
Apologies, had no idea it was a sideways pics.
>>53719527
I would suggest using a white primer or bone coloured one. Then you can just shade them with a nice gnarly wash then drybrush them.
I don't think it's entirely your fault, white is notoriously hard to paint straight over black.

Fucking christ /wip/. Its just one of those nights. I might just say fuck it, gut the magnets from the torsos, and just glue the arms on. At least I can still swap the gun, but idk what I'm going to do about the melee arm. I want maces for 40k, but I also love lightning claws. Maybe I'll just slowly but a bunch of kits off ebay until I have 100 terminators.

Caulk is a pretty broad term. PVA is more specific.
Does anyone have any idea what the materials used for the Ork adobe-style buildings that the Miniwargaming group uses?
>>53721203
Looks kinda like thin wood. Like a particle board or something, 1/4 inch thick. If not, it'd be easy to make
>>53721248
Balsa would maybe?
>>53720479
I thought that was Stormboyz, not Blood Axes. Anyway, that's a basic military camouflage technique. It's why US troops have light tank boots.
>>53721288
Blood Axes have a disproportionately large population of Stormboyz.

Caulk
noun
1.
a waterproof filler and sealant, used in building work and repairs.
>Caulking is both the processes and material (also called sealant) to seal joints or seams in various structures and some types of piping.
Seems pretty specific to me. PVA is glue. Caulk is a sealant.

Empire. Head kinda' looks like Karl Franz's griffon. You'll need to greenstuff it. Granted I guess they don't call them "Empire" anymore so you'll have to look around if you buy direct, but otherwise you can usually find it under those names. They've got griffon cavalry, too, so check those as well.
>>53721434
>>53721448
>>53721474
you mean a bigger head for the model that you posted?
You could try to find the heads from the battlechicken Karl Franz is riding on.
I think you can assemble that kit either with one or with two heads, so if there is a bits store that has that kit you may be able to find one.
Just eyeballing it, but I think thedemigryph cavalry is proably pretty similar in size.
You could look into reaper bones for conversion fodder or just buy an eagle toy in the right size. There are some companies that do collectible animals in different scales.
Finished the three in the front right over the last couple days. It feels good to see my army actually come together now.
>>53721818
Well, "finished", I should say - I still need to base and go back over them with some highlights but they're basically 99% done.
>>53721519
The old metal Franz seems to have teeth and there doesn't seem to be much indication of those on the admittedly low resolution pictures. Ttough the 'ears' and nose look pretty similar. Regarding the new cavalry, I haven't seen a kit in person, but everything online had head armor.
>>53721546
Well, the picture is a modded griffon, so I was jsut looking for a similarly large head.
You referring to the plastic ~6in one? Haven't seen it in person to judge the size anf the cost kind of discourages me from buying it just to try, but I will look out for bits.
Greatly appreciate the suggestions.

Just started painting, my smallest brush is a Citadel Layer S, and very often when I paint with it the hairs split a bit which prevents me from painting small details accurately.
Are Citadel brushes just shitty or am I doing something wrong?
>>53722601
I have the same issue, and I alternate between a pair of Raphael 8404s (0 and 1) and a W&N Series 7. Makes freehanding a bitch. At least the 8404s only split out into two points that are fairly close.

When stripping paint of a miniature, how much of the primer do you want end of taking off? All of it, or is it okay if there's still some left when you finish?
>>53722601
I find citadel brushes only last so long, and their best being their largest brushes for dry or otherwise. You REALLY need to be gentle with them and take human baby levels of care with them in my experience. One of my best is a citadel, most of my worst are citadel.
Start experimenting with other mini brush brands (army painter etc), or if you got the dosh go for some real deal paint brushes (try www.rosemaryandco, go nuts bb)

Scenic bases for minimum-effort direct mounting
Barebones for building micro-dioramas

Just one question, is there a way to avoid my Coelia Greenshade turning things blue? I wanted to give the green armour some depth, but it just turned areas blue. Does this mean that some areas are uneven and I should add another goat of green before the shade, or am I just applying it wrong?

Coelia Greenshade is quite a blue/green colour, I just pulled this image off google to show you what it looks like when coloured on white.
You can try a different green shade or use nuln oil to dark down the green areas and apply another highlight of green to give it that depth
>>53725132
Awesome thanks for that, I'll see what it's like with another green shade but I might end up just leaving it with a base/layers instead of shading and then highlighting.

So I've completed these three Iron Hands terminators after I've stripped them off of the horrible Ultramarines paintjob that I did years ago while still a kid.
They are pretty darn cool if I might say so myself.
The problem is, while stripping the pain I lost one of the terminator arms to the drain(I know, stupid). I was wondering what I could do to deal with that.

I agree, the styles certainly look compatible, but neither the artist who created the concept art for KD Slenderman (Yasmine Putri) nor the sculpter himself (Jacques Alexandre Gillois, or JAG for short) have any connections with Malifaux.
That's not to say that there was no cross pollination between their respective art styles, but nothing official.
As for the look of the other miniatures, both Malifaux and Kingdom Death: Monster have adopted somewhat more realistic proportions for their human character models.
Most certainly not heroic scale for either game.

Scheme is nice, I'd maybe amp up the "unnatural" parts in saturation to create a bit more vibrant look.
>>53725212
not that anon but they're leftovers from the maggoth kit from AOS
Yew ladz need to understand that these are different generations of models, and the bitz might not fit right. What >>53725208 has are Second Edition metal terminators. See how they're mounted on 25mm slottabases?
The arm >>53725353 is holding up looks like either the modern multipart generic terminator squadboy arm, or perhaps the Assault on Black Reach model. Is that besagew glued in place, or is it actually molded as part of the arm?
Finally, the models in >>53725650 are a mix of the the cookie-cutter Deathwing terminators from Dark Vengeance and the modern multipart generic squadboyz with Dark Angel bitz added.
If >>53725208 really wants his model to look homogeneous, he'll need a metal Second Edition arm - or at least a recast of one.
>>53713043
130mm is overkill m80. I'd go with a 80mm if you feel 60mm is too small.
>>53727430
Thanks for that writeup, that's very interesting.
I am not that concerned with being 100% strict in regard to homogeneity of my army. I'm fine with mixing a bit. And if I remove the shield from that arm in the picture it should be pretty darn close to the ones I have for my terminators.
I doubt people I will be playing with will have a problem with my army being a bit of a mix.
Cheers!
This is my Cthulhu/undersea themed genestealer cult test model.
I'm trying to go for the "submerged in sea water for several years look" for the metal.
>>53725749
I use Winter Soviets as Valhallans. takes a little work to make the conversions look right but they fit the part nicely. Just make sure you use actual sci Fi weapons and bits to make the look the part and paint them well and you should have no issues. I'd recommend checking out bits siites like Victoria Lamb or mad robots to get the parts you need.
That said, make sure you use plastic kits, metal kits (which those poles are I think) are a bitch to convert, although Warlord does make a plastic Brit paratroopers box that's similar.
As for if people are alright with it, I've never had a problem in 6 years with all my IG conversions, but I make sure it's brutally obvious what everything is, put a lot of work into conversions, and paint them.
>>53727532

The old termies are quite a bit smaller. don't underestimate the size difference.
The old ones sat on 25mm bases and the new ones fill 40mm bases.
You'll end up with gorilla arm syndrome if you kitbash the old with the new ones.
The shoulderpads are also bigger.
You can still do it, but anybody with an eye for the miniature range will spot that immediately.

Have the badges and helmets still be silver but have them with gold linings / trims and maybe accentuate more around the face (eyes and mouth)

silver skulls used red lightning bolts and white/black campaign badges in the old studio scheme
No specific markings for veterans or sergeants beyond marking terminator honours with a badge on the knee, but you could probably get away with standard codex markings on primaris silver skulls.

I really like this scheme, it's different enough from the common ways everyone paints sylvaneth (brown, glowy green, "weirwood") while still looking like a cross betwen a spirit and a plant. Highlights are a bit chunky

probably not anything that you'd want to have happen, anyways. anon's just being a dipshit
>>53728013
Dig the freehand.
Just finished this Space Wolf. Let me know what you all think.
>>53728802
Paints are a bit thick, you might consider stripping it and starting again.
>>53728653
Thanks man, I'm going for a snowed in pine forest theme. This is my first serious go at painting an army and I've learnt a fuckload but I still have a way's to go when it comes to blending and fine details, I only just started to get skin and muscles looking good.
Pic related is what I have so far, sorry for the shit image quality.
Any CC on my Imperial Guard? I feel like I've been working on them for eons.
>>53727628
Thanks for a proper answer, I'll make sure to apply to your advice!
>>53728860
Shit, now I want to strip them and start again cause I know I can do a better job.
>>53718219
Cool! Thanks.
>>53718356
Sorry, don't have them with me right now. They're SLIGHTLY taller than a normal marine - their poses are more upright.
>>53726475
Gnarly.
>Want to convert Primaris Marines into chaos marines because fucking old as shit chaos marines
>Death Guard are appox. same size as primaris as well
>Wonder if people will be faggots and say that my primaris marines don't count as a regular CSM squad after I chaos them up.
>>53728772
cheers senpai
>>53729047
They won't. But you may consider that a primaris sized chaos space marines squad is certainly coming
>>53729062
>But you may consider that a primaris sized chaos space marines squad is certainly coming
Please don't play with my heart anon. Anything that isn't chaos cults has been just blatantly ignored by GW for years.
>>53729086
I'm sure about that Anon :)
They basically already have the models, they just need to chaos-ify them a bit. All the new chaos models are in the new primaris scale, so I think it is probable we're going to see undivided chaos marines soon enough

Ive been eyeballing black guardisns and vypers and that jazz for a while. The ulthwe markings and general color scheme looks pretty fun to paint. How are you liking it?
>>53729200
I think ulthwé look great and their vehicles are really fun to paint. Painting lots of guardians can get pretty tedious though and trying to make nearly all black models look interesting can take some work.

Time for an update!
I decided to make a setpiece - every figure and base will be detachable with magnets. Trying to figure out some placements as well as what Chaos bits to add, I think a few chains will work far better than the spikes. I liked the idea of a machine having a gaggle of followers on the same base. The Watcher in the Dark will have the sword removed and will probably carrying some sort of either daemonic sword or be bulging with tentacles, haven't decided yet. What do you guys think?
>>53727835
Where's the middle servo skull from?
>>53729406
I would go for a full diorama if I were you desu
>>53729406
Can you tell me where you got the tentacle bits with chaos mouths at the end?
I did a little bit more to my nurgle marauder, anyone know a good way to get that sore skin colour around the tears in his skin?
>>53729420
>Where's the middle servo skull from?
It's from the plastic Grey Knights Terminator Squad kit.
>>53729293
Oof. I didn't actually want to paint a fire prism until now.
The guardians are easy though, right? Ive been looking to paint some hordelike light infantry lately to mix things up.
>>53729476
Those are from the CSM Warpsmith!
>>53729793
>Tfw want to make a warpsmith themed army but god damn if that model doesn't look fragile as fuck.
>>53714224
This is precisely what a ton of deamon armies lack.
>>53729658
They are probably one of the easiest models to paint in the eldar range, not much detail on them so just a base coat of black then just layering various shades of black/grey and then edge with a grey. Bone colour can be a bitch to work with though as it needs lots of thin layers to look decent.
>>53730144
Nice. I might just grab some guardians and start practicing.
Nice banner, btw.
>>53728883
0/10
boring color scheme, no highlights, repetitive posing, went overboard with the weathering effects
cmon anon make a fucking effort
>>53729481

Word Bearer anon here. Today I took the time and took some decent pictures of my army. If you guys are willing to endure some spam I am glad to post more.
Here is the heart of it all, my Church Raider!
>>53730889
I am chaos dwarf anon, god damn I love your stuff.
>>53730889
>>oh no, how could I possibly endure seeing a sexy, sexy word bearers army dance across my screen
Just shut up and post em already you... you... double loyalist!
Really just starting with painting.
I'm starting by painting my Space Hulk. Door holders first so I'll be able to get a feel for this and I'm trying different variations for doing them.
>>53730889
The classic. I do enjoy your models and how uncluttered they are with the typical Chaos visual noise.
>>53730889
>DRIVE ME CLOSER I WANT TO HIT THEM WITH MY STAFF!
>>53730889
Chapel Rhino!
Should I paint the red part of plasma pistol black and add guilliman's blue on top of it or should I keep it red?
>>53731342
>tears of blood on skelington and helmet
i see some meme potential in your armyGreen would contrast with purple better
>ordered winsor & Newton series 7 brush a few months ago
>tip already ruined even though I cleaned it after every use
Already ordered another but I'm rather surprised at how weak the bristles are.
