Makes me wonder how big Absalom station really is if it has the ability to host native wild life or if you have to get the meat elsewhere. I kind of like the idea of Absalom being sort of like Ravnica in a way.

I'm willing to bet it'll host native life, definitely. if it's even a fraction of the size of a planet, the station will support some serious real estate that can be turned to ranches.

If it can't... well, get used to the taste of clone meat.

Because they can give up Swordtrained (which you'll never use as more than just a free EWP) and get 2 claws in addition to your bite, and Improved Unarmed Strike for free. This is relevant because Style feats good for using swords often require IUS for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

Alright, finally back with greentexts from my Reign of Winter game. It's been a while!

Our cast:

>Zaki, local orc who redeemed himself
>Nev, local tiefling girl and doctor
>Lazus, half-giant, friend of Nev
>Vahlgred, local half-orc who does half-orc things

>When we last left off, our party had just got done murdering some balls of light by a bridge
>Nev rescued one that was unconscious and knocked out
>However, they need to keep on going
>Find a game trail
>Follow it
>Encounter some snarky, asshole talking deer who hits on Vahlgred before bullshitting a lie about how he needed to go see some hot single that was in his area, but points the party to their next destination
>this next destination has a snowman in the way!
>Nev throws a snowball at it
>The snowman allahu-ackbars and explodes, alerting FIENDISH ICE ELEMENTALS IN THE RIVER TO THEIR POSITION
>the three Ice elementals arrive from the river, and form a super sentai posse, before engaging the team in combat
>the team nearly TPK's before some helpful DM FIAT keeps them alive
>They manage to make it out okay after obliterating two elementals, but one gets away!
>Maybe that deer wasn't so trustworthy after all...

I kind of did after knocking them into the negatives with a critical hit, and the rest were in a VERY precarious state

What I REALLY didn't expect was a player throwing a snowball at the snowman and proccing the trap. They were out of range of it luckily, but still, nothing in the AP was written about that. Ended up being funny (i.e you killed a good and caring snowman daddy, w/ the elementals popping up from the river being his kids).

FotJR GREENTEXT TIME NOW!
>Going down to the basement
>No one proactively opening doors
>Saboten telekinetically carrying the dead gobbo leader like a puppet.
>Rubio checks a door, hears a woman demanding "Do it rougher, you wretched beast! Rougher!" in a husky contralto.
>Twins get told to close their eyes because they are too fucking pure and are precious imoutos.
>Luckily, it's not some bitch taking the knot.
>Its some scantily clad witch telling a gnoll to grind some herbs
>Quinn has Vietnam flashbacks to her own experiences with a gnoll, hides behind the twins.
>Saboten tries and fails to smack a gnoll with the Goblin King.
>Rubio tries and fails to charge, tears off a chunk of Saboten's dress dress.
>Witch wants none of that shit, so now there are five witches in a slutty outfit.
>Etan fucking wrecks some face.
>As does based Tiefling bro with his gun.
>Twins and Quinn finish them with AoE attacks, ending the fivefold harlot brigade before it really started.
>Saboten wants to shibari the slutty sorceress.
>Instead GRABS HER FIRMLY BY THE PUSSY... cat familiar while Rubio puts her in manacles.
>Party continues.
>Sees ominous as fuck doors.
>Opens ominous as fuck doors.
>Saboten leads off this time, parading the goblin king corpse into the room while making a token effort to hide in the corner.
>Does an imitation of the goblin king that sounds less like a goblin, and more like her bedroom voice
>"Hello my fellow monstrous savages! I bring word from the boss lady, she wants you all to come outside and 'die like the rest'."
>Instead of waiting for the Gnolls to fall for this brilliant ploy and come to them, Rubio charges in.
>So does Etan.
>Right into a cloud of aphrodisiac vapors.
>Right as Saboten bungles an attack with the Gobbo king, cutting off Etan's belt.
>Right before Tiefling Bro makes a shot that somehow manages to blow the top off every woman in the room.
>Except for the twins, they're for pure, not lewd.

Seconding. Why do I have this feeling it's going to be a Bethesda-tier interpretation of what Fallout is about?
>>
>>53606345

I mean, it's fallout in-name-only. About the only thing it has in common is the fact that it's... a weird post-apocalyptic romp through a weirder wasteland. You can make anything work if you just bend and tweak the rules enough and use a lot of GM handwaving and smoke and mirrors. I just used Fallout because it was the first thing on my mind.

>>53606352
Oh, yeah, that

I used to play using that system. First character was an explosives-focused pony that drank a ton of whiskey. He was pretty damn fun

Nice. I made a Shotgun focused Diamond Dog jerk. She'd capture baddies to beat and berate them as she sold them for her bounties.

We agreed that lewd things happen on a Nat 1, and Sweet rolled 3 Nat 1s to "confirm" the severity of things. If this wasn't blatant H-Game silliness, none of us would have agreed... but we literally all came in recognizing that it would be H-Game silliness.

Doing a Harbinger//Mageknight gestalt. Seriously considering ditching Mageknight after 4th level to grab Unspeakable Pact Thamaturge, since being able to slap a big penalty onto enemy saves seems extremely powerful.

If your game will never see level 10 then it's better to go Aegis 3/Harbinger X with Student of the Astral Suit.
If it will see 10 then you might want to put Aegis on the other gestalt track so you can get your INT to damage.

So we don't know the exact situation with the magic in Starfinder other than it's not tethered to the whole arcane/Divine split we've had to deal with before.

However that's not important. Necromancy is obviously a thing but what about transmutation? I grow fond of the idea of meeting a group that takes personal modification and perfection to it's upmost limit until they look like the sort of monstrosities only the Dark Eldar Kabal could call kin.

Equal parts, scary, serious, and silly. A man once said. "You can maim, rape, and murder as much as you want in a story. but for the love of god tell a joke. "

It's what most of us imagine Lamashtu to be doing. For lots of folks here, deities that don't make it to Starfinder will wind up CEO or equivalent of organizations. Lamashtu and Lolth are highly likely to be running Umbrella or Unitology churches involved in that.

It'll probably be one of my early campaigns to get everyone into Starfinder

Honestly most of my builds are thought up on a whim and I just do my best to accommodate my crazy ideas as much as possible while still being somewhat viable. The idea I had floating around in my head at the beginning was to be some kind of Fairy Paladin that would zip around the enemy's face while dealing heavy amounts of damage through the holy power of Smite.

Another alternative to my conundrum now that this fact has been brought to my attention: Mythic Reduce Person can lower your size by two stages, so my question is that when the time comes that our characters start getting Mythic ranks, would that make the Permanency Reduce Person present on my body go Mythic and lower it twice? Because if so that's potentially hilarious.

I apologise for the late reply - I went to sleep while waiting.
>The opening line legitimately grabbed me.... and then promptly lost me, when the second lines was redundant. The rest never grabbed me because there's very little meat to it. I think the concept has potential, the idea that heroism isn't in the act, so much as in the telling, is a neat angle that no one else took. But, I came out of this app knowing basically nothing about the character. You honestly devote wayyyy more time talking about the snake than her... you spend as much time talking about her parent's fears, as you do talking about her.
>My suggestion would be to figure out *who* this character is, and then write a backstory which reveals that character to us.
Thank you for pointing that out. I have to think on it.

>Also, can't say I'm a huge fan of stripping away pretty cool racial fluff, presumably, just for the power bump.
Samsaran was the only race my mechanical idea worked with. I ended up settling on it after exploring options for several hours. I don't really like Samsarans thematically, though.

It technically still is arcane/divine, but its not a limit for player characters as much. Unless you play an older class from pathfinder.

But your source of magic as a mystic or technomancer can be whatever you roleplay it as.

So the schools of magic will still be around, they just wont be calling spells from gods divine, and spells from knowledge arcane. They are just together or apart, if you catch the drift

I've noticed this seems to be a thing, a lot of god(esses) and demi gods get reduced to super beings essentially and have a leg up in terms of cults and profit. Not that I mind or anything but I find it interesting that the GAP or whatever caused it essentially heeled their original power. That said, looking into the pathfinder wiki looks like we have a buffet of various cults and businesses to deal with

Speaking of this build, my character would also be interested in wielding that really important sword that gives crazy bonuses if you're a paladin or a cleric, say I started out as a Small creature, is there any way I can reduce the penalties for wielding a weapon above my size category while also being able to use Dex to hit instead of Str? I've been told we're at level 4 so costs will be less of an issue than if we were stuck at 3.

All of these would be perfect if it wasn't a specific magical sword that had a soul inside it already, I don't think I can apply any further enchantments to it because it's so special. I may just have my character be duty bound to find the weapon and be carrying an Effortless Lace to use with it to wield it.

Dervish Dancer with mithral current, dual wields fighting fans. I haven't thought about the other half of the gestalt or much in the way of backstory of personality, but I really like the idea of describing their movements in combat, "sheathing" by folding and tucking the fans and spreading them to block attacks directed at their allies, dancing through combat.

Had my Thursdays open two weeks ago and now I'm kicking myself over recently closing them aaaaaa
>>
>>53607298
Still, the Lace seems like the best idea right now and is the cheapest option to boot.

With that being said, I think I've got the foundation of my build planned out, so all of you tell me if there's any holes that need patching before I actually put it all together:

I start with a Small creature that has been permanency Reduce person'd to be Tiny, he'll have combat expertise automatically due to the Elephant in the Room feat tax fiat and will have to take Lunge in order to not have to move into people's squares, and combining both of those together will mean he can hit from 5 ft away with just a -2 to hit, which will lower over time as Combat Expertise gets better.

Combine this with a story-specific weapon that, when wielded by a Paladin, gives a bunch of crazy bonuses, helps with the lowered to-hit (also helps is the natural bonuses to hit when you're that size), and if I install Effortless Lace onto the weapon it can be wielded in such a way that I can use Dex to hit (and then take the feat to get Dex to Damage as well)

This is because Reduce Person retroactively shrinks any items you hold on your person, which would make the sword a size Small when I'm Tiny, but the Lace would make it as if it were one size smaller for the purpose of things like being a Light weapon.

Being Level 4 as well, I can afford both of these things (the shrinking as well as the Lace) with 1K to spare for other things, which I'll use to get Masterwork armor, a MW shield, and maybe a few potions.

>This is because Reduce Person retroactively shrinks any items you hold on your person
No it doesn't, but if you can convince your DM it does more power to ya.
>>
>>53607427
As far as I can remember this is how we've played it if only because it says by RAW that anything being wielded, worn or carried by the spell reduces in size as well, which one can interpret as meaning that the effect stays even if the wielding is happening after the spell is cast.

Here is Psionics Augmented: Powers. It is nothing more than a collection of powers for all of Dreamscarred Press's psionic classes.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/tztx29jjjt0z3g6/DRP2340_FULL_%2811610410%29.pdf?dl=0

Most of the powers here as mediocre, as far as I can tell. Three powers, however, stand out to me:

• Dirt nap (cryptic 2, psion/wilder 2) is a second-rate, psionic version of rope trick. It is far more uncomfortable and tightly-packed than a rope trick, but it gets the job done.

• Mind palace (cryptic 1, psion/wilder 1, vitalist 1) lets you spend 1 power point to gain a +1d4 untyped bonus to an "attack roll, saving throw, skill check, ability check, manifester level check or similar check" as an immediate action. This is a very good deal! The problem here is that it is ambiguous on whether or not it can be used after a roll, due to the nature of immediate actions as interrupts. If it cannot be used after a roll, then it is obviously much worse.

• Wardrobe malfunction (psion [kineticist] 2, psychic warrior 2) is a truly awful debuff power, but it has a secondary effect. If you target an article of clothing, the wearer must make a Reflex saving throw, or the article slips off them. This is good for embarrassing people, at the very least.

>>

It's not going to be "heh, i win" i'm thinking more of a 'slowly controlling aspects of the city' thing. not subtle stuff, but making the evil i'm doing secretly look less interesting than other hooks while dodging the paladin, then final story arc to wrap it up. i'm fully prepared to lose the character, and it would make for a better story if i was defeated, rather than 'i win, new campaign hey where are you all going'
>>
>>53608562
Key point here is that the motherfucker said
>plot with the GM to take absolute control of the kingdom
That essentially means that, in the context of Kingmaker, you're cucking every other PC out of necessary resources that they are expected to have access to while monopolizing them all for yourself. Moreover, it implies the GM will be complicit in making this happen. It isn't "cooperative storytelling" when, say, one PC gets control of all the other PCs' equipment and spells and powers just because the GM allowed him to.

Cooperative storytelling would be if the anon was slowly hatching a plot to take over the kingdom on his own merits, gradually laying the groundwork for a takeover and only telling the GM his end goal as a matter of honesty. Becoming a lich is fine. Taking over the kingdom is fine. Plotting with the GM to do something you want to keep secret is fine.

But when you take all of those together, it becomes a situation where you're essentially hijacking and then torching the campaign just because it's your fetish. The anon you're talking about isn't going to simply become the BBEG, he's planning to actively hamstring the rest of the party while doing so through unfair means. That's the sort of thing that should, by all rights, make you (and your GM) persona non grata in any gaming community.
>>
>>53608625
If you need to try this hard to rationalize your decision, you're doing it wrong and should abandon your plan.

The end result you're building towards is still the same--you take control of something the party is supposed to control communally all for yourself, and then turn it against the other PCs.

One, you're samefagging. Two, most maneuvers don't actually have you making skill checks; indeed, the grand majority of maneuvers have you making normal attack rolls, like usual. And three, there's still better feats to take than that one in most cases; few builds actually benefit from absolutely needing to be reliable on skill checks, and those that are can easily be shut down by damage to ability scores or by simply denying those skills in the first place (can't use Sense Motive against animals by RAW, for instance, nor can you use Sleight Of Hand if the opponent has too good of a Perception.)

>Removing the necessity to roll does break the game.
Not really. It just gives you reliable options you can use in a pinch, which is great.
>>
>>53608895

"Always get a 10 on your maneuver that does 2x or 3x damage"

"Always get a 10 on your counter that replaces saving throws with craft ranks"
>>
>>53608855
I could stand seeing this for more games.
>>
>>53608913
So? I don't see the problem.
Casters get to target touch with many spells as a similar toy, which is 95% hit chance against the vast majority of enemies.
The difference between 95% and 100% is laughably low.
>>
>>53608916
Same, I wish I knew how to make things like that.
>>
>>53608925
To hits, especially for casters, even against touch, is a much worse bet than skill bonuses. A caster is only getting the 95% chance against big enemies and at high levels of they invest in it. Skills scale with smaller opportunity cost.
>>
>>53608944
Even then, that 10 won't always ensure you hit. The enemy can have buffs bringing AC to higher than you hit on a 10. The enemy can have mirror image making you still miss. The enemy can have blink making you still miss. Etc, etc, etc.
A relatively reliable hit is just that - relatively reliable. Making a fuss out of it is silly.
>>
>>53608895
>no really, this terribly game breaking third party system mechanic is fine
See, this is why people didn't allow DSP crap in the first place, because they have a history of giving you feats specifically designed to make their classes entirely overpowered. Pre-nerfed Dread for example. And here we go with more feats that give DSP classes game breaking abilities that make casters seem underpowered in comparison.
>>
>>53608959
Skills scale much better than spell DCs. The against to hit is much less of an issue than save replacement. Counters in general in their design don't play well with anything that isn't PoW. They completely change expectations of the level of defense PCs have.
>>
>>53608959

A 10 on sense motive with a character focusing in it will hit 100% of the time
>>
>>53608972
Counters require immediate actions, while initiators tend to be pretty swift-starved as is. Most of the time, the initiator either won't have the immediate action available or, if it is available, will be screwed by using it.
Moreover, no-save spells and shit exists.

That is a blatantly false assertion. Initiators are, by design, a replacement/upgrade for anything that isn't a caster that is supposed to be competitive with casters.
>>
>>53609025
So it's okay to remove the dice rolling mechanics for initiators?

That's bad game design, anon. Even WotC didn't follow up with that route.

They did, sort of, not in 3.x, though.

Except that really doesn't happen in PF anon. That happens only in white room theory nonsense that isn't a game. There are still variables to account for.

This new little trick removes variables entirely. All you need is a maxed skill, as couple of feats to optimize it, and you never need to roll dice for counters or huge damage ever again. If your super initiator can't hit it by taking ten, then it will kill everyone in the party anyways.

>>
>>53609073
Why? I want to have a combat full of meaningful choices and tactics, not random BS.

>>53609080
Depends on the spellcaster's build. Glitterdust is a good choice in the situation you described. Many encounters are ended by a single casting of stinking cloud. By level 10, fireball-optimised sorcerers can average CR 15 median HP worth of damage (after accounting for save frequency) on their nova turn, which is quite encounter-ending.
>>
>>53609085
Undead cannot be blinded, and you get a save every round even if you do get blinded.

Try again.
>>
>>53609100
They have 5HD, which they should at that level. Theyre at worst stunned for one round.

Each creature affected by your illusion (pattern) spells is treated as if its total number of Hit Dice were equal to its number of Hit Dice minus your Charisma modifier (if positive).
>>
>>53609103
A sorcerer does not manage that much damage unless his entire build is focused around just that fireball. And I said level 5, not 10. Plus he would need a ducking quicker rod which is retard expensive.
>>
>>53609124
Random doesn't equal choice or tactics.
If you think it does, you're fucking retarded.
>>53609126
That's a pretty silly way to view it.

>>
>>53609140

>>53609147

>>
>>53609132
>let's just ignore their good will saves
See, the real failing of this example is that the caster still has to deal with variables.

The initiator does not. He automatically hits and does double and triple damage. End of fight.

>>53609140
It's basic strategy to take an ability you CANNOT FAIL to win every encounter without rolling.

That you even suggest that it's a choice and not a must have says much more about who is retarded.
>>
Well, that's that. DSP PoW has officially made my list of unacceptable 3rd party splats. I already had to go over Psionics to make sure they weren't breaking the game, and now three feats makes initiators unstoppable? Game over, they lose.
>>
>>53609101
It's much like the rest of the game: Some interesting and really neat and good stuff, but the rest should be ignored forcefully if needed.
>>
>>53609140
Remember: the GM may use anything he players have access to against them.

That makes this ability a TPK. If you cannot see that you are an imbecile.
>>
>>53608495
Ablative Armor is pretty strong. Can easily help you push to 95% avoidance on attacks, which makes it last a long time.

Bore is a neat tool for scouting/spying with a pretty cheap cost.

Ectoplasmic Obelisk is generally impractical (though you could probably come up with a few creative uses for it), but the 10 pp augment to build permanent statues is a fun downtime tool you can train out when you go on another adventure, if it's really critical you have another 2nd level power.

Dirt Nap is useful, as you noted.

Energy Rings is pretty strong. There's no save to avoid being immobilized, and the typical methods of escape involve a really difficult strength check or teleportation (which can be shut down pretty easily).

Mind Palace is an untyped ~2.5 + 2.5/2pp bonus to virtually any important d20 roll as an immediate action. Includes saves, skills, ability checks, and ML checks. It unambiguously does not work retroactively, it benefits your NEXT check. It's still useful though, since it lets you push otherwise difficult to boost checks. Ability checks in particular are a fun target, you can use that to push break checks really high and smash some huge shit even as a weenie. You can use it to make (Greater) Dispel checks nearly auto-succeed, which while expensive can negate serious problem effects or give you an action advantage by negating several turns of action with one round.

Retarget Power can be used to get Personal range powers onto other targets. Kind've expensive for the job, unless you're a Cryptic, but that's a rare option.

There's a lot of chaff there, like any Pathfinder book, but the number of solid or at least interesting options is pretty decent.
>>
>>53608495
Energy allergy might be crazy if picked by a gambler through Expanded Knowledge.

Retarget power's level for noncryptics is stupid. Psion and Vitalist are just going to take Expanded knowledge at 11 if they want the power instead of waiting 4 more levels and paying more power points each time.

Ablative armor does not seem particularly cost-effective to me, as far as AC increases are concerned.

Bore being easily blocked by stone limits its usefulness.

You are correct about energy rings. The lack of an explicit "The target cannot move from their space" statement had confused me, but now that I look at it, it would indeed seem to be a no-save immobilize against non-fliers.

Retarget power should be taken via Expanded Knowledge at 11th-level.
>>
>>53609159
>>53609316
Of particular note is this part:
>The best option by far would be lesser rods of intensify spell, which are cheap as damn to the point of being feasible to buy in bulk, allowing to intensify even the quickened fireball at minimal cost, entirely replacing Blood Intensity for the purposes of this build and making it something that can be skipped in favour of normal bloodline powers, but one of the rules was "no X/day items".
>>
>>53609317
There is a difference between competent, which is what they were, and automatically and totally, which is what they are now. I'm not going to police entire books just because my players have better memories than I do. I have enough GM shit to do without that added headache.

FYI, the 'ultra competent caster that is invincible' is a pipe dream.
>>
>>53609350
Out of curiosity, which three feats?
>>
>>53609340
Ablative Armor isn't especially cost effective (at least, when augmented- if all you need is a +2 3 pp for that is a steal), but that's not really the draw. It stacks with everything, which can help bridge the gap from just being a hard target to 95% avoidance, which is pretty huge.

Hey /tg/, I need help with Roll20 macro editing.

How do I stop Weapon Notes from showing when rolling an attack?

Before Roll20 updated I'd simply delete it out the macro.
Now it only shows an ID, and I got no idea what to do with it.
Tried deleting {{weapon notes=weapon notes}} under settings for the attack template, and that does nothing.

If you're wondering, stuff is written in Weapon Notes for great convenience for the player and myself for NPCs.
As mentioned, before I could simply delete this so it doesn't show and reveal the info on a roll.

This question seems to be so specific that I can't find help anywhere. Would really appreciate the help.
>>
>>53609367
The initiator feat mentioned above, Skill Focus in the requisite discipline skill, and the feat that gives you two bonuses to skills, one which would be your discipline skill. At tenth level, you have ten ranks plus 3 for the class skill, you take ten, and you have ten ranks in the skill. Before adding in your stat bonus and any magical augmentation, you now have a 33 BASE to your discipline maneuver. If that happens to be a counter for your save, you are functionally immune to anything the GM can throw at you at that level. You will hit and do damage automatically if it is a strike for double or triple damage, no roll required.
>>
>>53610125
Except that the case you mention only applies to Scarlet Throne, you can't spam the save unless you're a warder and then only limited times a day and recovering it constantly makes you useless, you can't counter if you get caught flat-footed, you are still vulnerable to grapples, and still need to put a fairly considerable amount of maneuvers readied towards that purpose.

Lurker in Darkness

Your training allows you to foil even magical and unusual senses.
Prerequisites: Stealth 6 ranks.
Benefit: Creatures using unusual forms of sensory perception such as blindsight, greensight, or tremorsense cannot automatically foil your use of Stealth; such creatures must make a Perception check as normal to detect you when you make use of the Stealth skill. This feat foils indirect detection (such as a creature using detect magic to search for your magical items while you are using Stealth) in the manner described above, but has no effect on psi-like abilities, powers, spells, spell- like abilities, and/or supernatural abilities specifically used to uncover information about you rather than enhancing the user’s perception, such as the augury spell.

How does this work?

If I'm using Formless Dance to gain blur for concealment, does that mean I can make stealth checks without alternate senses defeating blur?

Having an indistinct blurred figure can be really hard to spot in dim lighting or darkness.
>>
>>53611726

I thought you just needed concealment to stealth? So what you're telling me is that if something has dark vision you cannot stealth past it?

I suppose I should've known better than to think stealth could ever be good if it wasn't attached to invisibility.

>Elemental Flux
Whose only power issues are the +4d6 damage and the +50% elemental damage boosts. Versatility yes, but fundamentally stronger not.
>Riven Hourglass
Just ban Gift of Time. I bet Piercing Thunder's 8th level stance still outDPRs God of the Hourglass with the only exception of combining GotH with one of the two standard action full attack strikes.

What are the newest Discordfags anyway, and how many of them have applied to games? Let's see which of them write good apps and which of them write shite apps.

Elemental Flux is conceptually too strong because it is four disciplines in one. Riven Hourglass has many low level multi attacks, low level haste and strong counters.

I thought the whole idea was to remove the idea of doing nothing but spamming tons of attacks and yet RH has tons of it.

So, here's where the rules are written: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/vision-and-light/

>In an area of bright light, all characters can see clearly. Some creatures, such as those with light sensitivity and light blindness, take penalties while in areas of bright light.
>A creature can’t use Stealth in an area of bright light unless it is invisible or has cover.
>invisible or has cover

>Normal light functions just like bright light, but characters with light sensitivity and light blindness do not take penalties.

>In an area of dim light, a character can see somewhat. Creatures within this area have concealment (20% miss chance in combat) from those without darkvision or the ability to see in darkness.
>A creature within an area of dim light can make a Stealth check to conceal itself.

>Characters with darkvision (dwarves and half-orcs) can see lit areas normally as well as dark areas within 60 feet.
>A creature can’t hide within 60 feet of a character with darkvision unless it is invisible or has cover.

Basically, while in bright/normal light a creature MUST have cover or invisibility, not just concealment, in order to use stealth. While in an area of dim light or darker, they only need concealment WHICH IS GRANTED NATURALLY BY THE LIGHT LEVEL. Since darkvision creatures treat darkness as normal light, they can see creatures that aren't behind cover/invisible.

So what that means is that in order to stealth you need to hid behind something, you can't just activate your punch magic stance to instantly gain stealth.

>"Created by the drow-hunters, this alchemical flare explodes in black sparks 1 round after lighting."
o shit

Can I cook a darkflare so that it explodes on the turn I'm done throwing it?
>>
>>53611990

I didn't realize stealth was so worthless
>>
>>53612015
What's the action cost to light it then throw it? You can probably light it, then ready an action to throw it
>>
5th level Obozaya has 45 SP and 41 HP. That's a total of 86 Meat Points needed to down her.
Let's take a look at her weapons:
First, the flamethrower, as it's the thematically funniest one for this calculation. It deals 1d6+4 damage per hit, that's average 7.5 damage, meaning she needs 12 hits on average to down herself. Her accuracy on the flamethrower is +7 vs EAC, meaning she needs a 17 to hit her own EAC, which is a 20% chance. That means she would need an average 60 attacks with her flamethrower to down her clone. That is assuming not using full-attacks to preserve accuracy. So, she needs entire 6 minutes of flamethrower fire to kill herself.
Second, let's take a look at her melee weapon, as it's the most damaging option she has. It has 1d8+10 damage per hit, average 14.5, meaning she needs 6 hits on average to down herself. An accuracy of +10 vs EAC means she needs a natural 14 to hit her counterpart, which is a 35% chance. So she needs to attack herself about 17-18 times with a doshko. That is almost two minutes of beating herself with a laser polearm to kill herself.
Am I the only one who thinks this is excessively slow?

Aren't full attacks basically "make two attacks at -4" in Starfinder? Wouldn't that alter the math somewhat?
>>
>>53612328
That would make it worse. Her accuracy is so bad that her full attacking instead of single attacking will make her take even more time to kill herself.
>>
>>53612241
>>53612338

Pointless to speculate on math without knowing the rules entirely.

Depends. Do her stats change the damage? do feats? Do class abilities (which is where 90% of damage in Pf comes from)?

We just don't know.

Her doshko being 1d8+10 implies all that shit already being included.

>>
>>53610125
How are you counting 10 ranks to the skill twice again? 10 ranks + 3 for class skill + 5 for stat + take 10 = 28

10 BAB + 2 weapon + 5 stat = +17 before the roll, so otherwise similar numbers if you're full BAB, other than making it reliable. And that's not assuming you're a harbinger which adds even more int on top to the attack roll(or at least gets it to the same number)
>>
>>53612746
>manipulation
Well I mean first off, it could also mean 100% manipulation by the cabal since I didn't see this posted in the thread.
Second off the cabal are all /pfg/ members, so unless you're accusing them of spamming proxies...

Can I get "What is Hellcat Stealth" for $1000 Alex?

Though to be fair, Darkvision and darkness would kill stealth.

So overall, if you are a Shadowdancer(which adds Dim Light HiPS) and Hellcat Stealth, you can always hide everywhere, except in pure darkness against someone with Darkvision.
>>
>>53612824
Of course it's not. that's not the point.
>>
>>53612869

An enormous investment for little return seeing as things like scent still auto shut you down. And even then, you'd need the skill unlock feat and 15 ranks of stealth to do something useful with it if we're talking about attacking flat footed. And even that is arguable as by the time you have 15 ranks in stealth most enemies will be relying on massive natural armor or have uncanny dodge.

Meanwhile the wizard just casts invisibility and requires a specific counter in the form of see invisibility or glitterdust.
>>
>>53612904
Lurker in Darkness feat. I know, though:
>3pp

I just find it funny with the right setup you have the ability to always hide, except against Darkvision(Unless that Lurker in Darkness feat works against Darkvision too)
>>
>>53612328
Not "basically", it's "literally". I assume the reasoning is to make it so that standing still isn't so heavily encouraged so that fighting can be more mobile and dynamic. I'm fine with that idea, if it's their intention. But how well do two attacks at -4 going to compare to one attack at no penalty? I don't math well enough to know how much better that is.
>>
Serious talk.

In Golarion, what is the general people's stance on homosecks?
Are Good gods basically championning it and so wouldn't that make it divine law for most of the civilized world to be totally k with gays? (Because I can't imagine them being okay yet their followers, KNOWING FOR A FACT the gods exist, not being k)

Please no sperg, it legit question
>>
>>53613999
I think it's supposed to be okay, actually. Good Gods are okay with it (by order of Paizo), most Evil Gods are alright with it unless it clashes with their profile, and most Neutral Gods seem to take a hands-off approach to mortal sexuality unless it's part of their purview (and even then, Calistria probably doesn't care).

There's plenty of gay couples in Pathfinder, and the only scandals that ever occur are because of reasons like that they're interracial (a Chelish boy and his Varisian boyfriend needing to meet in secret) or between people who shouldn't be banging (the Queen and her bodyguard).
