>Hey. I tried something like this in the CYOA thread and there was enough interest in forming teams and shit as characters I decided to make this into an entire thread on its own. Basically you use the Worm CYOA to make yourself a superhero and join a team. The goal of this thread is not to build super OP characters, but build interesting characters who would work together in teams. Compared to the regular CYOA this is a low-power game. The CYOA itself is super easy to break, so there’s a few rules to go along with it to maintain the theme of the thread, keep things balanced and prevent this thread from turning into a race to make the most OP character possible.

>The setting itself is Metropolis, a typical extra-large New York sandbox rip-off. Even though it’s all the same setting you can pick Gestation, the Golden Age or Worthless Opponent as your scenario, but it won’t mean much more than a difference in starting points. Canon characters – Contessa, Skitter, Eidolon, Glaistig Uaine, etc – don’t exist in Metropolis. Every organisation mentioned in the CYOA still exists, but with none of the canon characters in it and they are based out of Metropolis. The Protectorate and the Wards still exist, as does the PRT. The Guild is not Canadian. The Undersiders are pre-Taylor heisters. The ABB and E88 are locked in a turf war and the Merchants sell drugs to homeless people. S9 exists and you can be in it, but you’ll probably end up with a kill order on you.

>Cauldron still exists and is still a secret organisation that wants to manufacture more parahumans and take control of as many parahuman organisations as possible in preparation for fighting the Entities. Conspirators are active members of Cauldron and still get access to those sweet, sweet Cauldron powers. If you have a dead shard and you aren’t a case 53, you either stole from Cauldron or secretly work for them. If you work for them, your job is to get into a position of power within your organisation to further cauldron’s reach. If you stole from them expect Conspirators to hunt you down – or heroes working for Cauldron.

>The Birdcage exists. It is not in Metropolis, and unless stated is exactly the same as in canon – a giant guardless prison run by AIs with no way out. If you are a villain and you get caught three times or you get caught after doing something horrific you end up here til it’s time to fight the entities.

>1) Duplicate powers don’t stack. Two people with power fluctuation standing next to each other would not buff each other’s power fluctuations. This is to stop the most OP builds.
>2) You can only spend a maximum of 15 Shard points on powers. This includes the 3S it takes to upgrade a power to its second trigger. This rule is in place to stop people building characters with a million high S powers (vigilantes I’m looking at you) or who are otherwise obscenely broken – Worm parahumans are closer to being x-men than justice leaguers in power level. It also stops everyone from taking a million flaws to get ridiculous powers. We can’t all be vagrants who got kidnapped and tortured by S9 and Ziz. Conspirators are the exception to this rule – they can spend up to 20 points on powers (perks of being cauldron).

Worm v5 CYOA P4.jpg

>3) No Abaddon shards or Negentropy. No-one has Abaddon shards in canon Worm and this is a low power game anyway. Negentropy is a no go because the entities lose all incentive to hand out powers if they’ve developed immortality. If you’re upset because “muh immortality” keep in mind as a parahuman you’re unlikely to live for much longer than a decade anyway (life in spandex is violent and short).
>4) No more than 3 Endbringers at a time. First come first served, and you play like canon Endbringers – you periodically show up to wreck everybody’s shit.
>5) I’m thinking of making this into a proper RP if I can find a decent place to host it. No drop-ins or gifts – let’s keep it in-character.

>A few final notes:

>Case 53 flaw x1 = you are a human with a few extra parts, like elf ears, feathers in your hair, weird pupils/irises/sclera, extra fingers etc. Think Canary from canon.

>Case 53 Flaw x2 = you are still recognisably humanoid, but not as a “human”. Think Gully or Weld from canon – you genuinely look like a monster and ordinary humans might be nervous or quick to judge you.

>Case 53 x3 = you are no longer recognisable as human. Think Garotte or Mantellum from canon. People who see you will think you’re a monster and may run screaming from you.

>Having a kill order on you means you did something truly horrific or awful, or have repeatedly shown yourself to be too dangerous to be safely apprehended by the authorities. In short, you’ve killed people and as a result there's a fuckhueg bounty on you, which anyone - from heroes to sinister villains to rule-breaking vigilantes to every yahoo with a gun - can collect on, with no questions asked an no attempts to arrest them. They just stroll into Protectorate HQ, drop off your severed head, get given their money and walk out, even if they're a wanted felon.

I have no idea what my name is, or who I was before I came... here.

Brockton Bay.

It doesn't sound familiar, but nothing really does at the moment. I have gathered a couple things over some time.

For one, I didn't always look like... this. Probably.

While I was on the streets, I was picked up by a group of other 'homeless' miscreants. The only reason they kept me around was because I was useful to them. To their credit, they didn't kidnap me, I stayed of my own will. It's dreadful being alone and not knowing a thing about anything around you.

I didn't have a name to give, so they began calling me 'Casey'. I figured it a convenient placeholder, but I soon found out it was actually a jab at my... appearance. I'd like to change it sometime soon.

(holy shit it's just barely to long to post at once, someone neck me please)
>>
>>53383844
Moving on, having powers like I do really affects others perception of you. Most are anxious and worried on sight (my face probably doesn't help, though), but at the bare minimum, everyone around is on guard. Wary of me. I truly don't like hurting people, but they wouldn't know that by looking at me, would they?

But even still, I don't think I would trade them, my powers. They make up nearly all I know about myself, and while that isn't saying much, it's still all I have... besides, it's either this or a part-timer, and I don't think I would make very many tips as a waiter. Kukuku...

And finally, I... like helping people. Keeping them safe.

We make our way from escorting people with a desire for protection and a chunk of change. I'm not sure how much money, I've never even seen let alone touched any of it. They just give me my share of food for the week and leave me to my devices. It's not very eventful between jobs, trust me.

Actually, it's pretty dull on the job too, now that I think about it. That's not to say we haven't lost some people. Clients, were suppose to call them. Sometimes were completely caught off guard and we have to bail out. I hardly know them , my 'co-workers' or the clients, but it's still terribly painful to leave someone behind...

I'm leaving soon, hopefully to a more permanent space to live, maybe meet some new faces who can stand to look at mine.

...Wish me luck, yeah?

(Geez, finally got that out of my system)

So has any tinker ever even mentioned making a time machine in actual canon? Because I had some ideas.

Honestly though, "when this baby hits 88 miles an hour, you're gonna see some serious shit" is 100% something that has come out of Redline's mouth in the past. Probably more than once.
>>
>>53384034
Time Travel is pretty restricted in canon. The closest you get is Greyboy, who traps people in time-bubbles.
>>
>>53383980
We have a google drive to upload character and PRT docs, nothing else to mention.
>>
>>53383980
I made a full gang for Wily, and a Hero, and two members for the 'new' SH9, since we lack canon characters.
Also an Empire member.

Aren't you only using 12 power points there? You can still get more powers, or another second trigger.

>parkour and stone skin + your strength bonuses
I can only imagine this as the Hulk jumping around and destroying everything nearby.

Why Markmanship if you got no rifle? What's the plan there? Overall I like your character because no one uses Stone Skin. Its refreshing, and yeah I can see the Colossus part.

Sick ass super/muscle cars with machine guns and rocket engines still count as armored vehicles right? And "items you're carrying/people you're touching" totally includes cars you're driving right? Anyway, people need a getaway driver, I'm here to provide.

>>53384459
You should join The Think Tank!. Sure we already have Munitions with Armored Vehicles, but still!
=================
We're run into an issue in the RP.
What kind of personality do you all think the local PRT Director should have? There are all sorts. From Parahuman-haters like Piggot, to people who roll over for the Protectorate constantly. Hardliners about the law, people more open to accepting criminals being 'rebranded' into the protectorate. And even crazies like Tagg.
>>
>>53384402
I didnt see an rifle option apart from the sniper and he is more of a AR or pistol kind of dude. Yeah parkour and stoneskin i saw as being either hilarious or more realistically not having his whole body transformed when doing his flips and shit.

Yeah i didnt know what powers to add. Maybe jump or something.
>>
>>53384515
>Maybe jump or something.
I think jump can combine well, specially with stone skin. A living meteorite jumping into the action. And yeah you're right, it doesn't specify besides the sniper rifle, so you are good to go!
>>
>>53384515
Infinite ammo for your guns would help too. But it all depends on the theme of your character if you are going for Colossus and Red Hood then you have done it
>>
>>53384491
I seriously thought about it, but I think he would be best contrasted with some none tinker capes. Also, Redline would probably call Wily old man way too much for it to work. I think he'll end up being part of the Savages, vandals gang from last thread that I didn't add any other para humans too yet.

Maybe a Cauldron plant interested in keeping both sides sustained but also placated? So he lets the Protectorate do what they want for the most part and puts on a show of working with them, but actually subtly directs them away from making long term change? That's just an idea though and not a great one at that.

I keep meaning to get into the RP, but have been really busy. I've got four characters set up now, but I can't quite figure out which I want to be.
>>
>>53384644
>Implying he wouldn't be amused at being called Old Man.

But fair enough.

Also I've been swapping between my various characters pretty constantly.
>>
>>53384611
Ive modified it to remove get over here, add jump, repairs and MacGyver to make him abit more independent.

I dont know what i was thinkong with get over here anyway
>>
>>53384676
Well, we'll see which I end up being most. I like them all as characters, but they present challenges in actually inserting them.

What time are the most people in the IRC? I've gotta get to sleep for tonight but tomorrow I'd like to get into it.
>>
Is there an easy summary for this world online?

Who are slaughterhouse? What kind of level of threat are they?

What is the PRA and how do they enforce laws etc.

At a glance i kind of get the world but only the surface if that makes sense.
>>
>>53384762
The Slaughterhouse 9 are basically this settings league of evil. They're comprised of the most dangerous and depraved superheroes in the world/America. Even other villains try to avoid them and they've survived for years with kill orders on all of them because they're so dangerous.

I don't know much about the PRT. Everything I know about Worm I learned through osmosis over the years on /tg/ and by quickly checking the wiki for more specific stuff.
>>
>>53384739
No idea man, sorry.

>>53384762
Yes and no, because we're using an alternate version of it.

The Slaughterhouse are literal Murderhobos. A group of 9 parahumans who murder and butcher for fun. If, or rather WHEN, a member dies they go out lookiing for a new member. Every current member 'tests' the new member. They ALL have Kill Orders, and they wander the entirety of the U.S.A, on rare occasions branching out into Canada or Mexico.

The PRT is a group of Normals who exist to regulate Parahumans, they tend to command the Protectorate despite being separate organizations. They are a government organization.
>>
>>53384762
I'm reading worm right now and after like 70 chapters the PRT finally showed up. This is their standard weapon.

>I’d watched a discovery channel feature on this stuff. The PRT, the Parahuman Response Team, was equipped with tinker-designed nonlethal weaponry to subdue supervillains. This containment foam was standard issue. It ejected as a liquid, then expanded into a sticky foam with a few handy properties. It was flexible and it was porous when fully expanded, for one thing, so you could breathe while contained within it, at least long enough for rescue teams with a dissolving agent to get to you. It was also impact resistant, so PRT squads could coat the ground with it to save falling individuals or keep heavy hitters from doing much damage.

>The way it expanded, you could coat all but the strongest villains in it, and it would disable them. Because of the way it denied you leverage and was resistant to impacts and tearing, even the likes of Lung would have trouble pulling themselves free. Topping it all off, it was resistant to high temperatures and a strong insulator, so it served to handle the pyrokinetics and those with electromagnetic powers.

So if you are touched by this goo you are pretty much out of the fight. They are powerless-people using equipment made by powered people, designed to stop other people with power, so kinda dangerous if you don't ambush them and they ambush you.

A humble clockmaker turned serial killer, he triggered after a gang of low-tier capes tried to rob his shop and he was forced to kill for the first time.

The voice in his head made him realize how undeserving some capes are of their power, and is slowly driving him to reach "perfection". For some reason, his passenger does not let him acquire a power fully, unless he opens a person's brain and is given a chance to tinker with their bodies.

He focuses on staying behind the scenes and striking when his target is alone and vulnerable. Will prefer to target new and weaker capes in the beginning, and proceed to target bigger game once he develops a nice power set.

Bewitch or Alice triggered during a holiday in the South, a cult of extremist Christians called "The Order of Christ" kidnapped her and planned to burn her for being a "witch" she managed to run away but she was stuck in the woods with crazy witch-hunters after her. Eventually they saw her and under the stress she triggered and slaughtered most of them. After being found malnourished in the woods with the bodies of dead Christians that were burnt and electrocuted, they took her to the hospital where she recovered and eventually she joined the Undersiders. After a year she was again hunted by the remnants of The Order of Christ, reliving her traumatic experience she triggered once again and with a deep hatred she slaughtered them and proceeded to go on a spree of killings of Christians.

So this is a recent orphan who has moved into Metropolis to live with his Grandfather. His parents died of an illness that was created by a Tinker. He's a young man who is enthusiastic about life in general, and hates to see people get hurt.

Rose to infamy after he (?) tormented a school camp, driving several children insane and prompting others to turn on their friends. How the Slaughterhouse found him is a mystery as so far authorities have been unable to track him down or even build an approximate profile of him. Perhaps most terrifyingly is that several indicators point to Sandman being a child himself.

Out of curiosity what are his thoughts about Huntsman and Graviton, the two SH9 members I designed?

>>53368611
>>53381372
>>
>>53385571
Im imagining him as a little psycho. Evil like the joker but using psychological and dream manipulation like scarecrow.

He would hate graviton and idk if slaughterhouse members fight each other but hed definately want to torment someone young so he'd need to be either scared of her or otherwise scared of the repercussions. I built him to be very much a cowardly killer. Someone who is merciless but keeps himself far far removed from possible retribution. He'd attempt to buddy up with huntsman being scared of his ability and wanting to use him as a tool for violence, whether huntsman saw thru that or cared is probably the biggest factor of how theyd get along.
>>
>>53385718
>slaughterhouse members fight each other
Not usually. They tend to focus on others, banding together to cause more torment as a whole.

Huntsman would probably see through it, and Graviton is his personal "project". Seeing as he caused her Trigger Event, and twisted her into being the psychotic killer she is. But he'd let it go so long as Sandman doesn't go too far.

The idea being that this hyper ambitious madman believes he is the natural born ruler of the known world. He is technically an agent of Cauldron working undercover as a member of the Slaughterhouse 9. As a member of SH9 he is seeking to take over the leadership (i assume there is an actual leader?) If he isnt already.

He fights in a golden set of angelic armour he creates either from his magic portal or his infinite armoury. Likewise with a spear from the same source.

Originally going by Multitool, this budding young tinker had the unfortunate luck of drawing the Slaughterhouse 9's attention. One barrage of brutal tests later, and he became the sadistic Grey Boy - so named for the crawling tide of annihilation that responds to his every command. He appears to regard his time with the Nine as a chance to better develop his machinery, as he constantly deploys new configurations of his versatile machines against heroic opposition.

Diana is a spoiled rich girl that surged when a group of villains took her hostage for ransom money. Defiant to the end, she cursed, kicked, bit, and spit at her captors every moment. In a fit of rage they beat her nearly to death. Refusing to die by the hands of "human garbage" in her eyes, she surged. Using her Stand "Tainted Love" she subdued her attackers and proceeded to return every blow they dealt to her with interest. After having her fill on revenge, she left using

She met Deo when she second surged during an incident at their high school. To protect their identities Deo stopped time and helped her escape without notice. She thinks he has teleportation powers but she stays close to him because she's curious on exactly how it works.

Her costume takes the form of a Victorian Aristocrat with a masquerade mask and her Stand Tainted Love takes the form of a female cabaret dancer with a similar motif but with a black and red leather bodice with a Heart shaped cleavage window with red lace creating a zig-zag pattern separating the heart into two jagged pieces.

>>
>>53389980
They don't have to pay for the second triggers in their vials, not for their own powers. Though it does bring up the balance issue of them taking humble beginnings in order to take one of their own cauldron vials.
>>
>>53390089
There's literally no reason not to unless you really want a living Shard. The downsides of the Cauldron vial (can't take more than 20 point combos, can't take 25 point powers) are moot under this ruleset.

It's like how everyone takes Blind Spot - what else are you spending your Shard Points on?
>>
>>53390158
Yeah, I can't help but think of that powergamer from the last thread who went

Carson is considered the wildcard of the group. While he is Anti-Villian he is not considered part of the wards and his tactics can seem brash and cruel, especially to Tinker villians
Carson was the only child of a Construction Foreman in Downtown Seattle. His mother passed away when he was young and his father never remarried. His father loved his son and they would spend their free time working together repairing the cars, houses, etc for the community on their free time. However as Tinkers were on the rise for engineering and construction jobs, money was getting tight for the both of them.

His triggering was caused by an accident at his father's construction site. One of the workers had triggered and become a Tinker with specialties in Fortification. However the worker was lazy and used shoddy parts and craftsmanship, banking on his power to make it work. His father told the worker off that even with his "Tinky Winky shit" he didn't know a damn about engineering and showed the flaws in his work to the higher ups. The worker being humiliated left the company but not before sabotaging the building. As his father was tasked with fixing the worker's mistakes, the building started to collapse and crumble as the Tinker had booby trapped the building with several fault points that activated as soon as it was altered.

His grief manifested in the a sharpened mind and a Stand that can take steal of Tinkertech as a way of payback for them stealing his father and his job.

Bio:
>Founder of Castell Incorporated, Lanius Castell made quite a small fortune off of selling vehicles, ranging from generic consumer cars to military grade frames. Although he came up with many of the first ideas for vehicle design, it soon became apparent that he needed to hire on specialized people in the field if he wanted to stay competitive with other motor companies. Due to this, he became less involved in the actual car development and became quite a sales person and promoter with his barely-legal competitions which would pit his cars against any challengers with a large monetary award up for grabs. Although he was a skilled driver, he could never reach the levels of professional races so he rarely partook in the races himself.

>However that changed as soon as he awoke. Finding out that he was a tinker let him take his company's active role back by storm. He began by selling small, tinkertech accessories for his vehicles, but soon began to hire on other tinkers to help him with his production. Vehicles sold by Castell Inc nowadays have far more customization elements including numerous tinkertech accessories. Another discovery made by Lanius was his affinity for augmentation. Naturally, something like this couldn't be safe enough to sell to the general public, so he turned towards augmenting himself.

>Dubbing himself "Machine Head", he personally began to race in his own games and others which sprouted up around the country. Not only backed by his large organization, his augments allowed him to connect and control his vehicle far above what could be achieved with regular means. Crushing every race the came up, Machine Head soon rose to the top, but being this good meant that worthy challengers were few and far between.
>>
>>53391854
>Recently, word has reached him about a new competitor that has been making a scene for himself in the city of Metropolis. Always eager to challenge new opponents, Machine Head began to make his way to that Oceanic Blindspot of a hellhole to face what might be his greatest challenge yet.
Man, that was too much writing but it was a fun to make a character that doesn't just shoot the first person he meets. Yet.

Reposting. Some part of me is considering working for the Think Tank, but I'm sure those Tinkers are smart enough to file their own blueprints.

Name: Pencil
Scenario: Worthless Opponent
Path: Conspirator
Identity: Office Drone
Costume: Budget
Skills: First Aid, Mechanics, Hacking
Shard Type: Dead Shard/Eden
Perks: Second Trigger (1x), Plot Convenience, Cauldron Vial (3x)
Powers: Replication (+ Second Trigger)

> I have two extra character points

"Custom" Skill: Bureaucracy (2 Character Points)

> more skill in handling paperwork

Pencil is all about keeping things running. This motherfucker joined early on with Cauldron as a drone - not very interesting and not very useful, but important in filing all the things Cauldron needed filed, writing memos for other Cauldron drones, and keeping documented reports of capes.

There's some merit to being good at your job, and having too many people means a lot of potential for leaking information. It's hard to discern people's motives sometimes, after all. Pencil was easy to discern. He's hard working, but simple minded. Rather than dealing with an office worth of random people, Cauldron found that having an office worth of Pencils instead might be a better idea.

"Hey, boss. I have those DAT forms you requested."

Bio:
>Born to poor parents in a relatively middle of nowhere town in central Europe, Sethisto wanted to better himself. So he studied business, economics, and mathematics until he could move to America, the land of the free, and get a college education. All things considered, everything was going pretty much according to plan until his final undergraduate year. Sure, he was a mature student, having spent 25 years of his life making sure he was up to the standards set for foreign imports, but he was having a good time. He'd even found himself a girlfriend, a woman by the name of Natalya Strikov, who he intended to introduce to his parents at graduation. Until he was caught in an Endbringer attack.

>Like any sensible person, he headed for the nearest shelter with Natalya, but they didn't make it. They were caught by a stray blast from a cape, and nearly killed, surviving only due to the intervention of a truly skilled healer. However, in the time they spend mere microns from death, they both Triggerred. Natalya became a flying artillery piece, capable of raining lasers from afar and cloning herself. Sethisto, on the other hand, became something else. He gained the ability to copy powers, to impose his will on others, and to see powers. He also, at times, dreamt of those whose powers he'd copied, seeing their actions as though they were his own.
>>
>>53393095
>After several years, both had their degrees, hiding their powers with some, and after a few calculated stock trades, buyouts and mergers, they had set up a company within the city of Metropolis: Zanton Incorporated, a multi-national corporation with fingers in every pie imaginable. To further expand their goal, they took on the guises of Entropus and Barrage, crime lords with their own holdings, and hired two others to help them - a man named David Jamesson, who would later become The Captain after the purchase of a vial from an organisation known as Cauldron, and a Case 53 known only as Abominable. Zanton Incorporated, meanwhile, began working closely with the PRT, to allow Entropus to gain access to any number of Capes in order to copy their powers

>However, their works in creating a system, in which gangs worked for the highest bidder and merely took part in minor terretorial skirmishes instead of major gang wars, attracted them some enemies. Specifically, a trio of brothers, all mutated into ape-like forms by their powers, known as See No Evil, Hear No Evil and Speak No Evil. These three continue, to this day, to be a thorn in their side, though subtle political prodding from Zanton Incorporated has lead the PRT to target them slightly more harshly than they would other vigilantes.

No idea who leads the current 9.Everyone with a character would need to discuss it.

>>53388036
King is canon, so he doesn't exist in this universe.

Miss Perfect, born Natasha Kelso, was a phenomenally average girl. Born middle class middle in suburbistan and growing up to be of average smarts, looks, and general capability. The only thing that set her apart from any of her peers, not that they knew, was her parents. Overbearing, overcompensating, and violently abusive because she failed to live up to their outrageous expectations. It took till her 16th birthday for her to finally snap, when her parents not only disallowed her from seeing anyone at all but going so far as to lock her in the basement. She had had enough. Prying open the basement door with a shovel, she proceeded to kill both her parents in their sleep. Triggering with the blood of her parents on her hands, she transformed into a girl they might have been proud of. She deftly covered up her parents disappearance, then set about building a new life for herself. She cultivated a very loyal group of admirer to the point where they might be called cultists. She called them her Fan Club and used them to begin a bloody and suicidal crime spree across Metropolis. Though she has managed to remain mostly unnoticed as the ring leader by the authorities, a certain group of homicidal parahumans has definitely noticed.

Damn, someone made a build with my build as a nemesis. I'm honored. When he and Redline square up, I get the feeling shit is gonna hit the fan. Replace Funky Boy with an Endbringer shit hitting the fan.
>>
>>53393627
I had one idea that might fit for that. Make a Cauldron Cape, one with Second Trigger Unlimited Shard Works and Second Trigger Destiny Weaver. While they're acting like a villain, their real goal is to push as many potential Parahumans into Triggering as possible, while becoming a repository of those powers. They boost the number of soldiers available in the final battle, while turning themselves into this universe's Glaistig Uaine equivalent to hopefully tip the scales.

I think we have to agree to disagree. I always thought the canon Nine was a stupid mess of grimdark for the evulz bullshit, and the idea of a Nine coming into being because Cauldron's actively using them to shape the final fight makes a lot more sense than one where they just let them go around being monsters because it'll pay off sometimes.

By day he builds and sells custom work prosthetics for high end civilian and military use and by night works as an underground "doctor" for the more financially powerful members of the cities criminal element replacing that punctured lung with a nice synthetic replica that also scrubs the air they breathe in of any pollutants or to give their bodyguards a nice kevlar chest that feels like the real thing but can stop small arms fire. Personally most of Benton's body at this point still appears human with major modifications being done to his currently reinforced skeletal structure (especially around the brain and spine) as well as some mostly tasteful synthetic skin replacing the space left by a shotgun blast to the face from a customer at his night job that didn't want to pay the exorbitant fees attached to the kind of replacement limb that can punch through an inch of steel.

Surgery is more of anwound transfer power over an actual surgical power. Although you could make a pretty good edgelord duo made up of a second activation surgeon with a forcefield and a second activation survivalist with damage sharing.

Pile on wounds every time forfield resets then cache them with surgery and before the time expires while forcefield is up shake hands and give a guy who cant die every wound at once.

As ex-military commando, Adam Knight has found a he has a talent for a particular set of skills. Skills that he feels might have made him a nightmare to somebody in the pre-super era, but nowadays at best are redundant.

Now, working as a PRT Agent in Metropolis, he has to deal with crap scheduling, crap patrols, and crap clean-up jobs when supers he can't help but keep comparing to himself to decide make a mess of his home city. Nonetheless he tries his best to keep it to himself and try to not let his sense of powerlessness and hatred get the best of him.
Although latey, when his week involves his attempt to move to a nicer apartment jogging distance to work ends up with moving van going missing and his car getting cliped by street racers, he can't help but feel more stressed than usual.

Wrote an actual backstory this time too
Charlotte spent her childhood years providing for herself due to her father being a hopeless drunk that was too useless to work, instead favoring to beat and berate her. As a result of this she has done nothing but work her entire life, not such a difficult task when you have perfect mind in your shard power list but it is rather detrimental to one's social life and one's views regarding others. Charlotte cannot make the distinction between a professional office situation and a casual one, always being dressed up, on her guard, and always viewing others as competitors in the workspace. To her life is about nothing more then using whatever means necessary to rise through the ranks to make not only as much money as possible but also to become as safe as possible since people will have to go through so many goons to actually reach you.It just so happens that being a villain and a nazi is the easiest way to achieve this. By day Charlotte is your average office worker who stares at the security monitors of her business, which is rather infamous for hiring gang members of the Empire so her identity being revealed isn't that big of an issue. Since this position only pays well for someone who doesn't have to pull massive heists and make robotic limbs Charlotte regularly steals from the company's bank account to provide her with extra funds.
The only person that she can be said to actually like is her loyal servant Albert Speer. After managing to convince some of the influential figures of the justice system to let him go instead of turning him a mass of rotting meat and convincing her boss to hire him as one of the leading security guards of the company Albert pledged his undying loyalty to Miss Charlotte and follows her every whim. Being one of the only people she has shown her casual side Charlotte sees it as his duty to raise him as a sort of son and regularly upgrades his body with all sorts of mechanical enhancements.

Nothing

WunderWaffe has lived his entire life under the care of The Empire. His family were members back when the gang was first founded and as such WW sees it as his duty to continue his ancestor's legacy and continue to serve. Since birth WW has been one of the elite forces that the Empire unleashes on the streets and is a skilled shot, master gun manufacturer, physically /fit/,and is highly aware of his surroundings because of this. A man of honor he has pledged his servitude to his mistress Charlotte Coughlin. Serving the day as a body guard being controlled by Charlotte, WunderWaffe then changes his night routine by serving as Ashkenazi's personal bodyguard
Unlike his master Albert is much more morally driven fighting for what her believes to be right, he avoids killing (white) civilians as much as possible and only steals because Ashkenazi usually tells him to. However, while he may be nicer to people of a good nature he is without empathy for anybody he deems a degenerate or a rutheless monster. Often times these people end up with bullets in their heads, unless he is instructed not to do so of course. People who have some time to actually converse with the lad have come to the conclusion that he is a very entertaining character who is receptive to criticism, even if he is a bit deluded and traditionalistic to a fault.

>>53398942
No, hindsight lets you see the future consequences of your last actions. That's precognitive.

As for glimpse, imagine if someone with blindspot did something during those five seconds.
>>
>>53399181
>As for glimpse, imagine if someone with blindspot did something during those five seconds.
It doesn't pertain to your action, you see yourself in the future. If in 5 seconds you are on the ground, that's what you will see. You won't see who did it. You see yourself.

Hindsight literally says you gain instinctive knowledge about what your actions will do (focus on 'your'), AFTER you have done them. So essentially you gain what the word hindsight literally means.
>hindsight: understanding of a situation or event only after it has happened or developed.
You gain the power to understand why whatever happened to you happened that way, you don't see the future of anyone, blindspot or not.

Like I said, if the ability doesn't say its weak to blindspot, it's not weak to it. There is a reason why it bothers to specify which ones are weak to it, otherwise the chart wouldn't bother at all to mention it in any circumstance.
>>
>>53399263
It specifically says "all possible future sight powers," and includes precognitive simulations. If you have Glimpse, and someone with it shoots you, then you wouldn't see it, because they're not part of your simulation. If you take an action and someone with it takes a step that would change the future outcome, Hindsight couldn't take that into account when determining the consequences.

Remember, this CYOA was designed as a PvE CYOA. We added the PvP elements to it later.
>>
>>53399097
Yeah for either of those you'd probably just flavour MacGyver, small arms, robotics, armoured warfare or even nanomachines as you needed.
MacGyver: you make IEDs/You make Squealer style hoverboard/Cannon.
Small Arms: You specialise in kinetic explosives/Your "hover board" flies by producing kinetic force/Your cannon is some kind of actual hand cannon.
Armoured Warfare: You make missiles, rockets and heavy artillery/You have a hover tank/Probably the closest you'll get to making that type of weapon
Robotics: Explosive drones/Your hoverboard is all programable and shit/Your cannon is a gundam or some shit.
Nanomachines: You make microscopic explosive drones scattered all over with the ability to link together for improved detonation/Your hoverboard can disassemble itself and become a weapon or armour or some shit/Your cannon is actually hyper efficient or some shit made with nanomachines

Add second triggers for better quality as needed.

Kingmaker plus second Trigger mental images. Can you give yourself every non-trump power on the list or do they count as yourself?
>>
>>53402170
I mean it was originally a PvE. We turned it into a game later so it makes sense that some re-balancing might be needed.
>>
>>53402170
I dont think it was designed with internal RP balance as a concern, so you could be onto something. In saying that id be a fair amount of work
>>
>>53402250
I'd say that would probably work. A few things to keep in mind though:
1. "You can create a couple phantom copies of yourself." You'll probably be limited to 2 or 3 at a time.
2. They disappear after 5 minutes, and you'll have to reapply it all again.
3. Since your Kingmaker isn't 2nd trigger, they can't give you 2nd trigger versions of powers.

You might consider 2nd trig Paramount. By itself you can take Mirror Images that will also have 2nd trig Paramount to give themselves Mirror Image plus a few other powers, and on and on till your five minutes are up. Have every other Mirror Image take a Stand for 2nd trig 10 point powers and you have a pretty crazy army creator.
>>
>>53402250
Kingmaker only works on non-parahumans, so no you won't be able to give yourself powers.
>>
>>53403186
With the second trigger it works on anyone but the user.

>Remember, this CYOA was designed as a PvE CYOA. We added the PvP elements to it later.

Honestly at this point I think it would be better if no one was able to pick blindspot.

This worm cyoa was created with pve in mind, with the idea that you will be the only one snowflake in the wormverse, but even with bullshit powers a lot of people were still afraid of being mindraped by contessa/simurgh/golden morning scion, blindspot exists to alleviate those fears and give the player a chance to win when golden morning happens.

But the simurgh does not exist in this universe, and Golden morning can be pushed back 300 years in the future, in a PVP cyoa blindspot feels too much like an unfair advantage that everyone will be required to pick, invaliding a lot of powers.

It also feels weird because only Scion and the endbringers have natural anti-precognitive defenses, no one else, not even Contessa or Eidolon got this luxury.

Like Foreign element and Negentropy, blindspot should be only for those playing solo, since those guys are actually going to experience golden morning and Simurgh mind-rape, they actually need that level of power.

He triggered when he was involved in a car accident on a bridge that killed several people, and landed him in the river. The truck he was driving was loaded with dangerous chemicals, without using proper safety procedures in place, hence the many casuelties, added to all this was the fact that the chemircal spill polluted the river making all the nearby farmland unsafe for use. His company conveniently used him as the fall guy, while he himself claimed he had not been properly informed about his cargo. He was sentenced for criminally negligent manslaughter, his wife left him, and if he was ever gonna get out of prison, faced economic ruin as nobody would ever hire the mutant duck that killed 27 people. Also yeah, his trigger event turned him into a duck, that didn't exactly help either. With the authorities were unaware of his sheer amount of powers, he managed to escape and started a campaign of crime targetting his former employers. After having figure he'd done enough of a number on them, he turned his attention to pursuing a career as a super villain, as it was all he had left. He still targets his old employers every now and then out of spite.

Whether because he effectively lost his family or because he needs the muscle, he has recruited a number of henchmen, many starting as young delinquents. For a criminal mastermind, he is unusually fatherly and geuninely enjoys teaching his "boys" what he knows about mechanics and villainy, but while fatherly he does not shy away from using harsh means to keep them in order. They have frequent barbecues and movie nights. His favorite movie is Convoy. He firmly believes villainy should be fun. Part of the explanation for his rather hammy proclamations spiels and shitty duck puns, the other half is that he now lookes like an oversized duck and decided to roll with it. The secret part is that he still deeply regrets the loss of his family, that he doesn't dare seek out them out as he thinks he has done enough damage already, the silly act and caring for his mooks is what keeps his mind on the level.

His operational precedure often involves sudden attacks either from armoured vehicles disguised as vans or small delivery trucks, while masses of his boys mass out of hiding the man the vehicles he pulls out of the "garage" as he has named his private dimension. Many have laughed at him initially, right up until the ground rumbled under the massed wheels and treads of his mechanical monstrosities, looking like anything from a tank, a truck or a´construction vehicle to a mix of construction vehicle, truck and tank all in one oversized chaotic looking package.

Desert Fox, mothafucka. Except can't have too many Baneblades full of MY OWN CLONES getting lost because then my brain will start calling uncle.
Also can't have too many Baneblades in the first place because Tinkers are expensive and Faultline's Crew isn't Blackwater.
The character's powers are so disparate because s/he was part of a mass trigger event, where the bus s/he was in got lost and crashed with few survivors. Being trapped led to him/her becoming his/her own rescuer (hence the noctis and clones), and resolved to make it so that such crashes would never happen again (the vehicles and the geographic confusion)

Shouldn't the power rating (1-12+) be included as well? Although it would be kinda difficult to use that on each of the 132 powers.

I assume its based on the one from the Fate series, and if that were true, then that means that yes, you can keep them out after being fired. It only stores X amount of weapons, though X is an incredibly large number, and those weapons should be returned to it afterwards (if they are not destroyed)

As for the number of them fired at once, its a lot. Though the number of portals themselves seems to be limited, they each have an insane fire rate. The accuracy is pretty high as well. Just treat it as summoning multiple machine guns that use ancient, sacred, mystical weapons as bullets.

As for powers, it depends on what weapons come out. What powers do weapons like Dainsleif and Durandal have in mythology? What about things like Vajra?

It's a lot to wrap your head around thats for sure.

Had her trigger event after a car crash left her without her left arm, a couple of stumps where her legs should have been, and a number of organs in such poor condition that she was given a life expectancy of a month and a half at best. Knew how to fix herself but was unable to aquire the required resources from her hospital bed, thus she set up a site to crowd fund her own augmentation. It was a mixed blessing. While she did recieve the funds she needed for her work, the media attention that followed made an already stressful situation worse. As her conditioned worsened, her work became harder and harder, having to not only build almost every part herself, she usually had to be awake to help implanting it into herself, much of the early work done with one hand, her medication had to walk the line between keeping her clear minded and still take care of enough pain to let her work. What few video logs she made showed increasing deterioration and frustration, the later videos featuring a palsy girl on the brink of despair. For a while, most expected she wouldn't make it, herself most of all, but in the end she did.

Cont.
>>
>>53408125
At the end of it all, her increasingly dramatic story had raised a small fortune past what she had needed, a fraction of which went into creating prosthetic legs to go with the arm she had created for her work, the remaining funds donated to charity. She joined the wards after a period to herself to recuperate. She goes to great lengths to use her status as a Ward to support various fundraisers for medical research, the disabled, and people in need of various surgeries. Aside from constantly upgrading herself, she also works with a number of scientists and engineers to make her less combat oriented work more available to the public.

She wears and armoured exo-skeleton around her body and remaining arm, other limbs are cybernetic, her spine is reinforced, and her body contains a number of implants. On top of all this, she has various forms of nano machines in her body to increase strength, speed, durability, and reaction time. Aside from her augmented body, she uses a solid load of PRT approved less-than-lethal weapons and tools, as well as supplies and nano machines meant for medical emergencies.

She's rather reserved, can even come off as a bit timid even while she won't hesitate to place herself in the thick of a fight, sh also has no bantz game whatsoever. And she fucking HATES the Think Tank.

Also, does anyone have any name ideas? Because I'm completely blank.

Wouldn't that make our oceanic, blindspot-covered, tinker-haven a living hell for anybody with technopathy? Once we reach a critical amount of technology, the technopath would be completely overwhelmed. What if you're attempting to stop a rampaging robot, but instead turn on a toaster oven by accident?
>>
>>53413069
I think we can assume that insane micromanagement skills are already included for all master powers, if the whole Skitter situation is telling us anything.
>>
>>53413108
I'm like 80% sure Skitter was offloading a lot of her information processing on the bugs as some kind of freaky hivemind considering all the stuff she did instinctually and they even gave her a few effective levels in thinker because of it.

She was not the average master.
>>
>>53413069
I really doubt it would be that bad, I mean they should totally be able to focus on anything they are aware of without being overwhelmed by everything else around, but they shouldn't have complete dominion over all tech in their radius at the same time.
>>53413108
Skitter's power grants that by using the nervous systems of the what she's controlling to handle the processing power. In effect her brain effectively gets bigger with each bug, but for technopathy, they are still just machines it's not like a toaster comes with functions to understand what it is, can do and it's situation. That said a Technopath could possibly get a boost from that sort of thing via a bunch of robotics or nanomachines. Really though a technopath that has friends that have the Radar, Robotics, Nanomachines and Augmentation abilities is a master to fear.
>>
>>53413213
She cannonically had a Thinker rating, even before the "just give her plus two in every rating" thing. Thinker 1, I think, though considering she can cannonically deal with 10^34 minds at once, it might be somewhat low.

The vault has quite a large amount of things in it already, not all combat related though and mostly from the era of myth ans what not. No modern weapons as far as I know.

But then again, who needs modern guns and weapons when you have the likes of Caladbolg ready to go like a sniper round?

You will already have all of the weapons in the Gate already, there is no need to search for anything.
Also, the main thing about Gate of Babylon from Fate is that it contains all of the superpowered weapons of all other characters. Seeing the description of GoB in the CYOA, I think we can assume that there are no Noble Phantasms and actual mythological weapons involved (this isn't an actual crossover between Worm and Fate). It's just random swords with random powers applied to them (from ALL possible powers in the world), but everything else works how it did for Gilgamesh. Which is still as overpowered.

Most people's trigger events are hideously sudden things, their life takes a swift turn for the worse so they adapt. This was not so for Rob who took years to reach the boiling point necessary to unlock his shard's power.
He sat there in a dead end job and saw the injustice of the so called "Heroes" and "Villains" brawling in the streets and causing casualties galore.
Even when the protectorate was victorious there was no justice to be found, Villains either escaped from their cells or were sent to overcrowded jails, where they were treated like celebrities. Paid for of course, by the taxpayer's money.
Impotent rage grew and grew, sadness and despair became disillusionment and rage as time and time again, the innocent people of the city bled and died for an ineffectual system.
Until one day it all just clicked together, Designs for great machines of war filled his mind, Blueprints for tanks and guns that were years ahead of his time clamoured for attention.

Trigger would be being a proficient swordsman that was asked by a local gang to get rid of a weak villain that took their building with a cauldron vial they guarded.
But after taking the vial, they were attacked by a much stronger villain. While trying to escape, she lost all of the people she was in charge of and was wounded herself.
When the villain saw she became a cape, he took the vial and ran off.

The Wards

Teenage girl gone missing only to reappear months later as a multilimbed monstrosity crawling in the background of city reflections with only sparse eye witness accounts letting anyone know she exists. Eventually she was picked up by a group of local heroes who were able to coax her out of the mirrors and into a bath since thankfully the only injuries she's caused were from being confronted and scrmabling through objects to escape or terrifying people into injuring themselves.

Now a ward of The Wards she is being caught up again on her education and since she seems to mean well and idolizes the heroes of the city more than anything she's been allowed on the Wardens to help serve as a scout and out of the limelight until something can be done about her appearance.

do we have 3 endbringers yet?

if not, here is mine: demiurge

powers:
>sandbox
this is the core of my power.
i will ALWAYS be surrounded by several kilometers of complex, three dimensional maze.
rather than moving with me, or appearing as i do, this structure builds ahead of me as i move leaving behind old sections as a trail.
>megastructue
enhances sandbox.
my entire maze is a grand, ever shifting machine.
mixed tech level, some gears and leavers, some circuits and motors, some crystals and beams.
>gravity
3D maze building is more fun when down is whichever direction you damn well say it is.
>precognition
i always build just the right thing to serve my purposes.

appearance: monstrous
far, far, FAR too many arms of all sort, from tentacle to insectoid.
size: small
all the better to fit between the cogs

flaws
>sibling rivalry
other endbringers occasionally ATTACK MY SHIT.
i get mad about this.
>worthy opponent
occasionally i will get all murdery.
>>
>>53420330
mostly i just slowly work my way across the surface of the world building my grand machine.
mostly, it is a friendly place.
some areas are prebuilt living spaces the size of towns that are safe and do not move around too much.
other areas have bizarre and extremely useful devices such as teleporters and rejuvenation pods, but these stop working if removed.
moreover, these devices move around within the machine and are ALWAYS behind traps and puzzles.
the puzzles are, of course, precognitively designed to be uniquely frustrating to the specific person who finds them, unless i like you personally.

when i get all murdery, the first thing i do is shift the traps and puzzles in the area of the machine currently under my power from nigh perfectly frustrating to nigh perfectly deadly.
as a precog, i can preemptively cast out anyone i personally care about.
i then begin burrowing straight downward very quickly so those coming to stop me must fight through the entire deathtrap built so far this attack.
after a few hours of this, if i have not been stopped, i form a teleporter and show up at the target.
i then turn the entire area into a deathtrap killing the entire civilian populace.
after each attack i disarm the machine around me, but if i succeed, the traps in the old sector are out of my reach and so remain.
these traps will spread through the sector and make it TRULY hostile, sometimes waiting for years before killing someone at a critical moment.
thus my attacks threaten not only an unknown target, but also the usability of all i have built since i last won.

This started out as an attempt to make as overpowered of a character as I could and still remain within the 15 shard rule, and then I realized this would work well as member of the Slaughterhouse 9 so I reworked a few things and gave it a go. Let me know what you think.

Galahad:
Galahad was originally a member of the Protectorate who fell from grace. After a fight with a particularly vicious villain ended with their death, Galahad realized he not only felt no remorse, but that he relished the feeling. The rush of the fight to the fittest, where the winner is the only one who walks away. The feeling of standing over a bloody and broken opponent. He tried to hide it, Galahad didn't last very long as a hero after this.

Gestation (15/15)
Villian
No Identity (17/15)
Natural Trigger (20/15)

Flaws:
Slaughterhouse 9
Kill Order
Dishonourable
(32/17)

Outfit: Armour (27/17) (Made out of aluminum, so as to maintain a higher mobility)

Skills:
Martial Arts
Parkour
Tactics
First Aid
Strategy
(8/17)

Powers:
Quality Assurance: Second Trigger
Razor Hand
Get Over Here: Second Trigger
Extra Power: Peak Condition
(0/2)

Not sure what to do with those last 2 points.

Here's hoping this will still be up in three days when i finally get back to a computer with reliable internet.
>>

Enough orange points to make your shard talk to you.

Also neat concept.
>>
>>53421027
>>53421027
Been wanting to make quality assurance knight myself, with a crusader bent, not sure wether to make an e88 deus vult memester or haven paladin, but now i wanna play it straight with a Protectorate Hero named Paladin. Make him a former team member of Galahad, or a former Ward who used to look up to him.

Quality assurance, counter and something else both tanks and supporty or something, but it'll have have to wait three days time.
>>
>>53421658
Quality Assurance has a lot of room for abuse, especially at its price. 3 shards for half of the reason Siberian was so terrible to deal with in canon? Yes please.

Depending on the particulars of the power, a bodysuit will make you invincible, excepting things that a 1 shard power provides immunity too. Although, a lot depends on whether the power prevents bending and burning. If it does then a bodysuit is unwearable because you couldn't move, but it would be worth it because a piece of paper could withstand any attack, or could be used with tape to tie somebody down. You could even make a gun out of paper. Which leads me to my next question. Does Quality Assurance affect the whole of an object, or only the parts in contact with your skin? A chain could become unbreakable, a gun the size of your hand capable of firing anti-material rounds.

Sorry, I've been thinking about this a lot over the past few days. Your character idea sounds good though! If you do make him a hero, maybe he could be a kind of nemesis to Galahad? Or at least have very strong desire for the guy to meet justice. If you really want to make him a bad guy maybe Galahad met him some point after his realization and influenced him enough to inspire him. Maybe he was a Ward and turned to the E88 after he became an adult, or maybe he was just a rogue who looked up to Galahad and they happened to meet at some point just before or after quiting the Protectorate.

For powers, maybe Bullet Hell if you want something offensive? Barrier would be a decent pick for defense. Or maybe you could combine Presence and No Clip? Come flying out of the wall to reflect somebodies attack back at them. Animate constructs would be another good one. Send them out on the offensive while you're blocking all of your enemies attacks. These are just some ideas after reading through the powers, trying to keep it on the cheaper side in terms of crystals since I'm not sure if you want to take a ton of flaws or not.

I just remembered something. All of the members of the Slaughterhouse 9 need to have trials for all potential recruits. That's probably something any members should think of. Not sure who's deciding whose characters actually make the cut into the official group, but it's something to keep in mind.

For Galahad, his trial for others will be to kill 5 people. A man, a women, a senior citizen, a child, and a cape. Not in any particular order.

Right now I'm thinking Grey Boy's is a stress test. You get completely covered in grey goo, and he leaves it on you for a duration up to him. Every so often it starts chewing. Keep your cool, and you come out with the mother of all exfoliations. Flinch or panic, and it leaves your bones behind. Not because it can't digest them, just because he likes the effect.

I might have found a way to gain the most powers by using followers with Second Trigger Exchange and Unlimited Shard Works while dumping my all own shard points into Power Slot. The Conspirator path and Garden of Eden perk allows me to use Cauldon Vials to give a great deal of Second Triggered powers which can be swapped away immediately. With any luck a variety of tinker gadgets will make powers that are not humanly "observable" able to be copied by Unlimited Shard Works, removing the need for Cauldron Vials entirely. As much as I would like to spend all available points on Followers, Cauldron Vials and Power Slots I should probably at least take Plot Convenience, Blindspot and Negentropy.

Was interesting finding a way to spend all those points without going Blindspot. As I mentioned the general idea is he fills the role Shatterbird did with the canon Nine. He uses his powers to blockade exits and disrupt enemy coordination. Guy was a genius polymath, triggered due to a Thinker completely outdoing him at his various skills. His favorite pastimes include designing new monsters, leading enemies on an elaborate chase through his forest before gruesomely killing them, and trying to prove that he uses his victims' powers better than they do. His other purpose is as a floodgate for enemy capes, the more capes you throw at him the more likely he'll manage to put together something devastating. He's one of those capes who the authorities are almost glad he's with the S9 because it means he restrains himself to draw things out instead of going full Nilbog.

Notable flaws include his massive ego, the fact that he can't change his position easily without exposing himself, and the time he needs to figure out a power. Hit him hard and fast enough and he can't run or hide without being in even more danger. And that's before we get into the fact that he's not a Blindspot. Does have a tendency to take large numbers of civilians hostage to discourage just bombing the shit out of him.

Honestly regardless of if you could, it wouldn't be worth it because there is no way they would come with their mythical properties. A dragon without supernatural advantages, would be kind of frail if it could fly and wouldn't be very strong either, or it would be an oddly proportioned lizard weakened by having useless wings. Only things that would be a big gain would be things like a Kraken, or a Thunderbird, which only really have the advantage of being enormous.

would tinker made tanks be able to harm a endbringer? seems like tanks and vehicles with 2047 equivilent technology should be able to seriously wound endbringers.
>>
>>53434069
In general? No. Tinkertech is at the point where total conversion rifles are not only a posibility, but are relatively common (for Tinkertech), so a 2047 tank, whilst pretty fucking devastating and most certainly something that'd get you labelled as at least an A-class threat if you can't self-proliferate, wouldn't be that devastating all together.

the tinker power seems like it would let you make a whole factory to build hundreds of super future tech tanks and vehicles. also the armored warfare power should let you build airplanes, right?

It's impossible to seriously wound Endbringers without some kind of hax. No conventional attack can actually damage them, because the laws of physics which would allow them to function break down when you try.

The only reliable way to hurt an endbringer with any weapon is via Sting because it ignores their density and defenses.

No you just don't understand the basics of it.

Endbringers start out at aluminum density and just go up from there like an onion if the density was quadratic and the center was like the middle of a black hole. the "nano sword" guy has the power to cut through anything not just having a really sharp sword.

the fluff says they improve by factors of 2 not by square. also density is not a property of matter that means strength. do you mean yeild strength? i guess this is why i should try to understand fiction that was written by humanities majors. it wont make any sense.

Always whispering to himself, Shade is constantly in contact with his underworld mooks who supply him with information.

He has a particular hate for masters and controllers.

Origin:
Arthur Hanes was a successful lawyer and family man who defended civilians parahumans in court.

His powers triggered when one of the gangs he put away got a hold of him and his family in their hillside manor. He triggered after a Master forced him to kill his own children and wife get butchered in front of him. They beat and tortured him within an inch of his life for a month before a group of heroes managed to save him.

His body twisted and deformed, he underwent years of physical therapy before he was well enough to be left alone. Now seeking revenge, he uses his connections and powers to get revenge on the criminals and the system that allowed his family to die.

so does this game have a tinker that makes a army of AI robots and mechs to maintain order in the city yet? that seems like it would be pretty powerful against alot of things

Controlling the entire city would be nigh impossible for one person to achieve but you could certainly lock down a few city blocks if you have enough guys, keep in mind that AI in worm is pretty simplistic so don't let your robots go around doing whatever they want. They'll probably identify a kid who stole a candy bar as the same tier as a murderer and fill his ass with lead for example. As for if anyone else has this pretty sure Dr. Wily of the Think Tank does but he's borderline retarded. His robots are either gorillas or scorpions and he uses them to do really trivial shit like steal candy from babies. So go ahead, I doubt you were going for that approach and robopolice sound pretty cool

Don't forget to read the rules. We got a 15pt power shard limit.

sounds like warbots that fight the criminal gangs is a great idea.
ill be a millionaire CEO rogue
with a sectret factory and 1000s of warbots that protect my fiefdom.
i also sell AI robots as simple laborers from laborers to self driving cars.
ill have a factory where the bots are manufactured.

that could be fun? what do you think?
>>
>>53436627
Just focus most of your robocops towards ABB and we're cool. Honestly sounds like a mighty fine concept
>>

It's in the villain section as one of the main gangs. My character is a member of Empire 88 and we're currently in a turf war with them. I was trying to suggest you to subtly help my gang and not flood us with terminators

A quote from the original OP
>"Even though it’s all the same setting you can pick Gestation, the Golden Age or Worthless Opponent as your scenario, but it won’t mean much more than a difference in starting points."

Since there's only one girl in S9, I'm switching Shade's gender to female. Using this image for her instead.

Story and everything else should be the same. Making PDF to upload now.

It'd be mostly for aesthetic purposes to be honest.
I guess in theory matching certain animal forms with other powers might be nice though, like a pig with Mountain or a silverback Gorilla with second trigger mirror image and peak condition, by god, no wonder DC had such an Ape hard on

You should know though that a True King draws his power not from the husks of others but holds himself up with his own might."

CEO of the phoenix consortium, a corporation specializing in the production of highly advanced robotics, automation, and artificial intelligences for a wide variety of applications and customers. The collapse of political stability during the gestation has resulted in reduced government ability to control and protect its citizens. Therefore, the consortium has begun the manufacture of military and police warbots to protect its assets and enforce its interests. Its several hundred employees are considered its most important resource, thus employees of the consortium usually choose to reside in gated communities patrolled by phoenix police androids. A small but growing roster of parahumans are employed by the company for special assignments, most notably for defense against the anarcho communist parahuman terrorist known as “Sickle.”
