For items, maybe price by utility or value of items in universe. I know everyone has a home, but that doesn't mean a mansion is worth less than a single rare fruit that can be counteracted by Peptobismol. I understand if you can't find replacements though, so quantity is a quality all it's own. Maybe a faster replacement or just whatever tree the fruits grow on would help balance it.

RBtG's meta in the interjump balance sense in that it's both dependent on previous jumps and defangs the work of other jumpmakers post-hoc, which means it ideally would be taken in a specific order.

Sure. Your crown will probably just turn into fire, though?

>>53323094
>Can we import a weapon for Worthy Weapon, or import a crown for the Flames of Regency and Crown of Allurement?
Yup.

>Also, does the Worthy Weapon granting the benefits of Elder God Hybrid do anything if you've already bought that as a perk?
Probably. It's unclear exactly how much Thor actually benefits from using Mjolnir passively, but there's probably some diminishing returns. Also that's just a way of saying it enhances your strength and Domains. May just change it to say that instead for syai g it grants you EGH.

>And if you god of magic with Domain, combined with Skyfather (and possibly Elder God Hybrid), would there be much point to buying Sorcerous Schooling?
Probably not, at that point. Save that you'd likely already have learned to invoke other beings for power.

Why did Jane even need to hit her? She gave up. Wasn't Jane a medical doctor too? Why is she so punchy?

Seriously, it's shit like that that makes me feel like Aaron is writing so shit on purpose.
>>
>>53325636
It's pretty obvious that he is. It's just hard to tell if he's pants-on-head retarded about grrl power or if he's gone to full parody.

Actually, shouldn't hitting an opponent who surrendered serve to make you unworthy to wield Mjolnir?
>>
>>53325636
>Why is she so punchy?
Because depicting women as overly willing to escalate to physical violence is perfectly fine. But remember that toxic masculinity means that men solving problems with violence is problematically patriarchal.
>>
>>53325525
>Surrenders
>Hits them anyway
Why?
>>
>>53325525
So would taking the Domains of Swords and Darkness make All-Black stronger? Also FemThor is worse then I thought.

>>53325636
Because, despite all of its pandering, Marvel is still primarily written by average white dudes who don't even understand what the groups they're trying to pander to want.

>>53325657
>Actually, shouldn't hitting an opponent who surrendered serve to make you unworthy to wield Mjolnir?
Mjolnir has been reconned to be powered and controlled by a feminine cosmic superstorm now. So what Odin thinks is worthy doesn't matter.

And on top of that, Odin is currently being portrayed as a caricature of a misogynistic wife beater, so that would probably be "worthy" now anyway.

>>53325674
That's up to fanwank. I'd say it would probably just make you better at wielding it if anything.
>>
>>53325525
>Yup.
Nice. Gotta import my spear for that then. Also the crown's getting even more ridiculous and firey.

>Probably. It's unclear exactly how much Thor actually benefits from using Mjolnir passively, but there's probably some diminishing returns. Also that's just a way of saying it enhances your strength and Domains. May just change it to say that instead for syai g it grants you EGH.
Ah, fair enough.

>Probably not, at that point. Save that you'd likely already have learned to invoke other beings for power.
Alright, nice. That saves me the cost of the perk, while still going Drop-In or Warrior.

Marvel's still hip, anon! He may be almost 80 years old, but he still knows what the kids today think is bangin'.

>>53326049
It really just pains me to see it happen. Marvel's like an old friend who got rabies and is slowly and senselessly choking to death on their own saliva in a hospital bed caked with their own sweat and excrement. There's no dignity in their death and it hurts to watch.

DC/Vertigo.

Though God in Marvel is literally Stan Lee/Jack Kirby manifest in the comics. So I guess you could say that he's gone now, too.

>>53326271
Until recently Loki had been consumed and defined by his hatred of Thor that prevented him from being a proper Trickster. Which is why he committed ego-suicide. So he'd be more likely to stab you in the back and try to use your corpse to kill Thor.

Items: Those are some good thoughts. I'll see what I can do.

RBtG: I see your point. Is there any way to make it more acceptable? I really like the option, so I'd like to find a way to keep it if possible.

A couple ideas I have to solve it are to basically give alternate options for the ghost's origin; the ghost could also be someone from your original (real) life or a person from within the current setting (the reasoning being that you are the reincarnation of an old friend they used to have).
>>
>>53326384
Jump Lovecraft, it's one of the background options.
>>
>>53326420
Ah... but Anon. I don't want to be a mere Shoggoth, I want to become a much greater God. Can you not help me with that?
>>
>>53326324

Would it be right to just go full nazi and gun down everything?
>>
>>53326384
Do you mind if I tell you what I did?

Go to lovecraft and be become a shoggoth

Go to evangelion amd become an angel

Merge the two altforms somehow, I use final form

Now go to zendikar and buy all the lerks that make you an eldrazi

Lastely go to overlord and become a overlord lich, they have a passive skill that can allow them to toggle a madness field around them.

You could boost this by becoming a kami in kamigawa if you want but after this you can survive most places and drive stuff crazy with your looks as well as shapeshift. Does this help?
>>
>>53326445
That kind of god is something you become just by being an old enough jumper, since you'll be so many things and with so many competing perks and with so many stacks you just break mortal minds. I don't think there's an origin that starts you at that level by itself.
>>
>>53326324
>More worthy than you
>>
>>53326384
Zendikar, Creepypasta, Cabin in the Woods, Adventure Time, Hellsing, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Kamigawa, Primal Rage, Lovecraft, Evangelion
>>
>>53326464
You have my thanks, Anon. Most guiding.
>>
>>53326411
Those are good options, and I'm sure the first would be very much appreciated. I mean, the pissed off ghost of your actual dead grandpa is still a little strange to offer someone, but it does solve the issue with stepping on other jumpmakers toes. If it's just the ghost of someone in-setting you'd have to cut the price way down, but it'd solve everything.

I'd wait for more people than me to lodge complaints before editing the option, though. I'm not exactly the sharpest brick in the sea.
>>
>>53326324

This was actually /pseudo/-justified in that it was during Axis when everyone's morality and alignment got all jumbled. Carnage was a chivalrous good guy who sacrificed his life (I think) for instance.
>>
>>53326573
Well, my thought was offering both options, so that it could potentially link to past jumps but offer an alternate approach that does not require going to other settings first; that way it's more of a personal choice and doesn't make it so that you have to go through jumps in a certain order. Or would the continued inclusion of that not work?

Actually, this makes me wonder. Do political and other events in this world affect the future of the mundane generics? Like for instance, Generic Game Developer lets you start in 2030. When I do hold office it usually involves me rounding up and throwing a ridiculous majority of politicians into prison before instituting a completely autonomous system of government run by a network of AIs which calculate public consensus via information-gathering nanomachines injected into the bodies of everyone with the right to vote. The AIs look at a problem, generate some solutions, pull a bunch of data from the nanomachines, process their circumstances and opinions into a vote, and then execute the result.

Quick, clean, zero concerns for corruption. It took a few tries to work the Skynet out of some of it but it's done a good job thus far.

1.) Added Nuclear Physiology aka Firestorm's power.
2.) Relaxed Vibe's restrictions post jump a bit. They can vibe through space-time but only on the same dimension. This probably gonna get relaxed soon. I have to fight myself over it.
3.) Gave Savitar like ability to Speedsters to basically run so fast you rip open up a short-lived wormhole between once place to another. Its like appearing in multiple places at once.

When Barry & Jay were fighting Savitar aka Future Barry Allen , Barry & Jay were getting tossed around like a rag doll. Cisco was tracking Barry, he was appearing in multiple places at same time as Savitar dragged Barry from one end the city to the other end, toss him up against a wall before repeating. The travel time between was like wormhole is depicted in the media.
4.) Added WaveyRider aka Waverider knockoff.
5.) Added Carptoic Teleportation aka Mirror Travel. Its Mirror Master's power, he's a Metahuman in Arrowverse.

Things I'm gonna change when Arrowverse stuff ends for the season:

1.) Add any Metahuman abilities that aren't covered already. I know there's a few that appear in S3.
2.) Allow dimensional & time travel. They use it so much that its pointless to deny it post-Jump.
3.) Add Savitar's suit or a batch of frictionless metal, so you can make your own. Savitar basically made power armor to protect himself from his own power. His speed is so great his body can't handle it.
4.) Start working on Supergirl Jump, whenever S2 hits Netflix.

In West Wing I was the Foreign Ambassador to Germany. I mostly used it as an excuse to get really drunk while insulting everyone's taste in beer. Then I would drink their beer. And then I would insult it again. It was a lot of fun.

In Metal Wolf Chaos I was the prepubescent daughter of RICHARD HAWK, and as his little girl, was elevated to the status of Vice President, because why the fuck not that makes total sense right.
I, RICHARD HAWK's DAUGHTER, mostly got driven around to places by a chauffer to gain access to places a little girl should not be allowed to be in, like high security military bases and armament storage, stole, like, a bunch of plans and schematics, sat on tables and kicked my feet while asking scientists "WHAT'CHYA DOOOOIN'?", and cried and told Michael Wilson not to hurt my daddy over a hijacked com system, which distracted him for like two seconds before RICHARD HAWK launched a missile salvo at his face. He lived. Michael, I mean. The plot went off prettymuch as is, I just got front row seats to the whole thing and a GOP gift card.

I am not really good at politics. It's like a potluck, right? I always just buy a couple bags of chips at the gas station for those.

Couple questions:

What scenario ideas did you have in mind?

What's the most beings anyone has ever used Exo-centric magic to call on power from? I was wondering about using the Second Magic to draw on countless realities' magic like Zelretch's ether cannon.

I'm up to issue #9 of God of Thunder, and it seems the Skyfather force has some correlation to emotion. Since Old Thor was only able to use it after being reinvigorated by the younger Thors showing up again, am I interpreting it right that confidence and other positive emotions tend to make it stronger?

What would something made out of the Skyfather energy manifested as a physical material be likely capable of?

I became president that one time. My cabinet consisted of two Old Ones and a hellgoddess. Nothing big changed really, apart from pollution disappearing after we started dumping it all into a local hell. One that PAID us in demonic artifacts because it was one of those ironic filth hells, so-good deal all round.

Oh, and while I actually hold no OFFICIAL high office in Yu-Shan as the chairprimordial of the Renovation (Me, SWLIHN, Cecelyne, Szoreny, Cytherea and Oramus' little think tank on how to save Creation) and first among equals of the Thing Heretical (which is basically a gentleman's club for Devil-Tigers only; we're still debating whether that guy who made his Lunar mate into one of his honorary subsouls should let her into the premises) I do have other people to do that for me by proxy. I'm too busy with the important backroom deals for Creation's high offices.

Probably. Gods in general tend to be more resistant to taht type of stuff. Though Thor has been mindfucked before, most notably by Enchantress... or was it Lorelei? May have been both.

>What scenario ideas did you have in mind?
Let's see. I think the ideas were something where you have to defend reality in Strange's stead, something to do with the War of the Seven Spheres, something based on Ragnarok, and... there were one or two others, but they've slipped my mind. Any ideas?

>What's the most beings anyone has ever used Exo-centric magic to call on power from? I was wondering about using the Second Magic to draw on countless realities' magic like Zelretch's ether cannon.
Like, at once? Honestly dunno, sorry. I don't think there's a real hard limit so long as you can handle it and the beings are amenable.

>am I interpreting it right that confidence and other positive emotions tend to make it stronger?
Eh. Who knows? Like you said a couple of threads ago, it tends to just serve as a plot device. Fluctuating with your own mental state makes sense, though. I think there was something similar about it back in the Ragnarok arc, too.

Speaking of which, I'd recommend you look into reading it too. It has some stuff with Thor repeating Odin's sacrifices to gain better rune magic that I think you'd find interesting. But it occurs to me that I don't think it was actually called the Ragnarok arc and that that was something else. I think it was related to Avengers: Disassembled if you decide to look into it.

>What would something made out of the Skyfather energy manifested as a physical material be likely capable of?
Dunno. Probably be a good magical conductor. Also the Odinforce is sapient – up to you if yours is, too.

(I know absolutely nothing here)

So this was not a fun Decade. I hated being an Ogre, being ugly (even if we looked more human than most Ogres) Tamamo didn’t adjust well to the form either, we hated it. My other wives seemed to take it alright after a period of adjustment. She-of-fair-Eyes was also disgusted by her adopted parents form; Makoto was Sympothetic. She-of-fair-Eyes tried to comfort us but I could see our form filled her with a mixture of revulsion and anger. We spent most of our time with her in alternate forms.

We took to traveling as a small mercenary band. People were surprised to find that we had principles and hygiene; This made us popular with some clients and closed off some jobs for us with others.

During our time there we were hired to protect a town that was being overrun by agents of chaos. I admit I underestimated the chaos of this world. Had I known then…

Well as it turns out We drew some attention to ourselves, some from the very forces of chaos that we were to fight. Unfortunately they were able to feel the chaos of the Wyld within Makoto. It intrigued them.

Being exalteds we thought our kids could handle anything the world threw at them… we were fools.
Apparently there was a traitor amongs the town. They managed to lure Makoto out and drug her and abduct her while we were off fighting.

The first to find out was She-of-fair-Eyes and she went after her destined mate.

She went blindly after Makoto furious. By the time we found out and got to them She-of-fair-Eyes was already long gone. The forces of chaos were about to attack the town … If we left to rescue them the town would fall… They were our daughters though.

By the time we tracked the forces of chaos back to their layer She of fair Eyes had been badly injured and captured by the Chaos Warlock. She was being used as leverage to get Makoto to explain about the moonsilver tattoos and how to undo them.

We fell upon them with a righteous rage that only a parent protecting their children can know. A band of 5 ogres and two human companions took the better part of an army and won. We saved our Daughters but the town fell as a result of us not being there.

Many people died because I was too foolish to properly protect my own kids.

Hell, maybe some Yozi aligned ones that are made solely out of a specific Primordial's demons. My dream is for Jumper and Companions to be able to get a unique Strider of their own and go full Dark Sentai.

And more guns. Surely there's more unique Hellwand-like artifacts than the Wand of Dragon's Breath. And body part replacements, like the Arm of the Anathema and the Heart of Green Iron. If Jumper can be even half as metal as an Alchemical out of the gate, I'll be a happy camper.

Debating whether to import my Inner World for Dimension Lord as opposed to my Pocket Realm from Creepypasta. On one hand, I'm not too thrilled with the "bigger on the inside except not" bullshit going on with the Inner World, and especially not with having a soul that acts like that. How large is the initial Personal Hell you get before you start feeding warehouse attachments and souls to make it bigger? Large city is pretty vague. Like New York or Tokyo's greater metropolitan area? Does feeding souls mean they cease to exist, or are residents there?

And since you apparently have holo deck powers in your hell, it can be explicitly UN-Hell like, like making it a Azure Skies and Fluffy Cloud Afterlife?

I used Generic Video Game Developer Jump to create a better version a Google a year before Google did. My company became the biggest in the world all while privately owned by me. We did everything from electronics to pharmaceuticals.

Then I ran for President in 2016 as a democrat. My platform was restoring sanity to the left while purging the SJW cancer that had infected it. I also spent time eviscerating the mainstream media for being such pieces of trash.

I won the primaries though it was a bit of a struggle since the establishment was doing all they could to get Hilary as the nominee. I'm pretty sure they almost decided to give her the nomination at the convention even though I had won the primary.

I won the actual election pretty easily since my campaign was focused on actual issues and I spent a lot of time explaining the issues and possible solutions. I also spent time giving educational lectures on various topics. The advance memetic warfare that I employed also helped. Even /pol/ was in awe of the quality and number of shitposts and memes I was unleashing.
>>
>>53328998
Mjolnir was forged by the dwarves of Nidavellir, yes. To be fair, it's pretty much the magnum opus of magical weapons. There's a reason of all the things Doom could've made his Battleworld police force out of, he chose Thors.

So what are some settings with lots of gods no one would miss? I need to feed Blacky he is hungry.

Sometimes my job is harder than others. I would not call Bretonnia a peaceful place but it was mostly prosperous. I knew the great lie the people had been fed, I wasn’t happy about it but I was intent on trying to change the plight of the peasants first.

Then the vision came and the full truth was revealed to me… the whole of the evil deeds of the wood elves and their goddess… No longer could I turn a blind eye to things.

It took a bit of doing but with magic I was able to gather some evidence. I found the place they buried the boys at.

I gathered to me my companions and loyal friends whom I could trust and revealed the awful truth. My Those native to this world were shocked and appalled but I showed them what I had found.

(to be continued)
>>
>>53327572
>Did you cuck Cletus, anon?
Yeah, Cletus is a monster and the carnage symbiote would probably be much better off it hadn't started with him.
>>
>>53329069
Oh? Wasn't it forged by Odin in the heart of a star, invoking the power of the Odin-Force?
>>
>>53329134
I had training from my time as a lunar how to manipulate a society and more training in assassinations than I would care to admit to. First I had to deal with the Elven I discreetly captured them, then had Akitsu balefully polymorph them in to animals wiping away their minds

We ensured there were excuses why they were gone and stuck quickly and quietly so that the other spies couldn’t catch on.

Then came time to take on the goddess with my most powerful companions we snuck in to her in to her glade. Unfortunately she was aware of us and it turned in to a war against a goddess. Her strength was formidable but she underestimated my resistance and resolve I jumped through a horrid blast of magic barely surviving and plunged the spear of destiny in to hear heart.

I survived, she didn’t.

With that done it was a tricky matter to keep up the appearances of the goddess being alive but I had the help of the other Damsels. Here my experience with the lunars paid off as I used a mixture of technology, out of context powers, masterful planning and prophetic powers to keep things going as if nothing had changed.

Slowly we began to see to it that the plight of the peasants was addressed and with technology improved their quality of life too was improved.
>>
>>53326627
Would you maybe consider making a scenario that would give you Hell Lord, or at least part of it? I really like the "devour other dimensions" aspect of it, but I really don't have enough CP for it. I mean, it's not something I desperately need either, but it'd just be a bit more aesthetic to merge all my dimensions together than having them exist seperately.

Also, if there's any other option do that, I'd be glad to hear it.
>>
Should I give Doom a Persona?
>>
>>53329156
It kinda varies from retcon to retcon, but I thought the consensus was the dwarfs forged the actual weapon and Odin did the enchantments
>>
>>53329202
You should steal his heart and make him a good guy. Assuming Doom is in one of his evil stages at the time.
>>
>>53329202
No because he would decide Doom is the only persona worthy of Doom, and go about trying to find the Ultimate Persona of himself. And probably succeed through some bullshit
>>
>>53329210
>Odin did the enchantments
I mean, isn't that kind of the most important part in relation to the power and function of Mjolnir?
>>
>>53329228
If that was all it took Asgard would be rolling in Mjolnirs. Gotta have a proper framework, apparently. Else you end up with something "merely" like the Destroyer armour which generally loses when Thor gets serious.
>>
>>53329134
Ravenloft, apparently she doesn't actually kill the boys, just turns them into immortal servants. An anon a few threads posted a link to something talking about it. True, they're now serving Wood Elves as butlers and servants, but they're not dead.

Also, the Lady of the Lake is doing these things for an ultimately good goal: to prepare a new world to fight Chaos. In Warhammer Fantasy, there is a cycle, where a creator god creates a new world, their kids fall to in-fighting, and then Chaos is able to pop in and eventually destroy everything. Her goal is to break that cycle, by creating a new world where her children will become the gods of a new Elven race, while her Grail Knights and Damsels will become the gods of a new human race. Together, they will break the cycle and defeat Chaos. Now, admittedly, she's planning on abandoning...pretty much everyone else to the wrath of Chaos, but then again she's also planning on sacrificing herself for the new world, so...look, I'm not saying she hasn't done terrible things, but killing her is probably not a good idea.
>>
>>53329216
>steal his heart
>nothing happens
>>
>>53328998

By itself the perk is a little underpowered, but combo'ed with stuff its potential grows a lot. I think its not really meant to be used with the warrior background perks as much as with the god perks and the magical materials. But its potentially the best setup for crazy magical item shit.

>>53329156
All of which are kinda offered in jump, just less powerful, so you probably won't get Mjoinir for a few hundreds of thousands of years, but it should make some really good magical items.
>>
>>53326627
I'm not all too familiar with the wider Marvel cosmology. If I took all of the perks of the god tree, where would I sit in terms of power? I assume I wouldn't be able to slap my dick around, comics are bullshit after all, but who would I be able to beat? Preferably in terms of established characters.
>>
>>53329296
>The ends justify the means.
>>
>>53329267
Yeah, but you might "forge" something akin to an "empty" Mjolnir. The thing is probably more than half of its ability has to come from a Skyfather's enchantments. That's plenty impressive, and I'm not the anon saying it sounds underwhelming; but with that in mind Mjolnir might not be the best example for what you can do with that perk.
>>
>>53329216
He's the guy Who Deserves to Rule is based on. I'm not sure if it'd have any effect.

>>53329394
Iirc, I think Cracker said thats how long it would take to be Skyfather level. Or maybe ten thousands? Not sure.
>>
>>53329350
Honestly the FTL longboats would be a better example.
>>
>>53329394
Well, that's what Cracker said was the time needed to come into the full Skyfather powers. Or do you mean something else? I can't even tell if this is supposed to be shitposting desu.
>>
>>53329328
>The ends justify the means.
Jumpers, do the ends justify the means?
>>
>>53329420
I get that. I just don't have a pic that amounts to "Who the fuck cares?" If a perk needs that long to do something you might as well not bother to mention or talk about it in the first place.
>>
>>53329435
Depends on the ends and the means. I won't issue a blanket statement saying they always do, but there are certainly times when they will.
>>
>>53329420
Wha? Nah, Thor said he already had it for way longer than Odin after a mere 10,000 years
>>
>>53329296
First let me say I know nothing of the setting. With that said I went by the scenario and in there. The Scenario might be different from the canon Warhammer source.
That said even if the vision was a lie unfortunately I would be more inclined to believe it than a goddess who is already deceiving everyone.
It's a thing that because I wouldn't know I would act on the information I had, for better or worse.
>>
>>53329435
I mean, that sort of depends, doesn't it? The only reason the Imperium has managed to survive is because they've been willing to do terrible things in the fight against Chaos and other threats. But then again, there's also a lot of stuff they do that doesn't help and in fact screws them over, so again, it depends.
>>
>>53329474
She still actively murders and sabotages, casts into misery, and manipulates everyone up to sabotaging the efforts to save the current world for the sake of her plan. She deserves to die.
>>
>>53329440
Well, you're not exactly wrong. It's just that the other racial origins don't really appeal to me. I'll prbably just spend some time chilling in some accelerated time chamber staring at a wall.
>>
>>53329440
>if a perk takes that long

Just use on of those ways of picking up lots of spare time lying around and spend it on yourself to get to that level
>>
>>53329520
Those are all cheesy to the point where you might as well stop jumping.
>>
>>53329474
That's fair. Just thought I'd let you know.

Also, she still does a lot of terrible stuff, even if her ultimate goal is good. So really, kicking her out of Bretonnia isn't exactly a bad idea. Just...something you'll want to really think about. Finding the truth about her led most of Bretonnia to abandon the Alliance and head home, even knowing that it would mean the end of the world. So be very, very careful about making sure no one finds out the truth until they're ready to handle it, which probably won't be for a long time.

>>53329440
That is the mortal in you talking jumper.

Look at it, the build for forgefather is basically the god tree, that one perk from the warrior tree, and the magical materials with skyforge.

With that you can probably make stuff on the level of the jump barring the worthy weapon. Or shit immune to magic with Admant. .
>>
>>53329554
She gets a ton of karma in the story when the people she's mistreated decide to spit on her and leave her to die desu.
>>
>>53329440
Or you could just use Narnian Time to set your age to a billion years.
>>
>>53329546
Yes, and that's why one of them off the top of my head does horrendous damage if not used properly. Can you even name any of them?
>>
>>53329546
How is it "cheesy" any more than being fucking handed overwhelming power every ten years? If anything, it's the opposite, considering you actually have to put in the work to get that far and you're delaying your free power-ups.
>>
>>53329575
I doubt that. If you need hundreds of thousands of years to reach Odin's level, you're probably making little baby trinkets with that perk.
>>
>>53329520
Yeah, I'll just spend a few million years in the generic xianxia jump meditating in some cave.

>>53329546
Honestly, if I actually got chosen by Jump-chan, I don't think that there'd ever come a point where I'd want to stop jumping. The journey is its own reward, so to say, and who doesn't want to keep accumulating some nifty perks?
>>
>>53329435

>>53329487

>>53329580
I don't think that'd work; IIRC Narnian Time just affects your age rather than the maturity of misc. powers you have

>>53329591
Again, less than 10,000 years

>>53329595
Although I actually wasn't thinking of +0CP drawbacks. I was thinking about actual abilities. I mean I guess that works, just rather not spend millions of years next to all-consuming amoral shounen protagonists
>>
>>53329578
True. Though those same people are also going to let everyone die, so fuck them as well.
>>
>>53329619
>Again, less than 10,000 years
You're basing this on a statement from Thor in the comicbooks, not from the jumpmaker.
>>
>>53329624
In their minds, they no longer had anything worth fighting for. Even those principles of chivalry and honor they had based their entire lives around were just manipulations and lies meant to make them into elven toys. It's hard to see how any of them could fight.
>>
>>53329554
I appreciate knowing fortunately I have the Lunar training in how to manipulate society so I am well suited to replacing her and hopefully not doing the horrible things that she did.
Also I intend to raise as many heroes as I can to protect Bretonnia after I am gone and secure the land for well past my time there. So I tried to leave Bretonnia better off than it was when I found it.
>>
>>53329591
Odin's level in power, not skill anon.
>>
>>53329619
>I mean I guess that works, just rather not spend millions of years next to all-consuming amoral shounen protagonists
Well... you can go to DBM and choose a time-line that split off from the main by several million years and spend that time next to slightly less amoral shounen protagonists who don't consume everything?
>>
>>53329628
Well, you're basing yours off a statement by an anon's ( >>53329420) memory of something the jumpmaker might have said. I hardly see the relevance, anyway; people get things wrong, it's not a big deal

>>
>>53329663

I get that, but there was plenty left to fight for. Their lives, the lives of their friends and family, the lives of everyone besides the Forces of Chaos, and also the idea of proving Lileath wrong by defeating Chaos and stopping the End Times. They're justified to be angry and upset and broken over what Lileath did, but just giving up and letting everyone die was not justified.

>>53329718
World of Darkness is just as fucked in other ways, but Civ and Bartimaeus are decent at least. And I'd rather avoid VD if at all possible. Anyway like I said I really wasn't thinking of time extention drawbacks when I was talking about time.

>>53329732
Not even from there. But your obsession with a site you claim to hate speaks volumes about your mental condition.

>>53328961

>>

I guess the lives of all those magical boys and girls are irrelevant, as is the suffering of the peasants in the system she set up. Or all the elves she killed so they'd all play the parts she wanted them to.
>>
>>53329666
But it's just your arbitrary decision that means enough power to power trinkets. Because you apparently believe if it takes that long to reach you must start out really weak, which just goes to show how little you know of the comics.
>>
>>53329782
>Anyway like I said I really wasn't thinking of time extention drawbacks when I was talking about time.
True, but those at least don't give you infinite CP and some of them aren't actually drawbacks (as in they're literally not in the drawback section).
>>
>>53329800
It's kind of logical, anon. That's a long span of growth, meaning that there has to be a large gap between where you start and where you end up.

>>
>>53329699
In the original Warhammer fantasy jump I was an Asrai (an elf of the Athel Loren) Mage Lord my jumper doesn't approve of lili's shennigans so there are going to be issues on getting to the Bretonnia Jump
>>
>>53329826
>Didn't she intend for them to get reincarned
No. She didn't care about any of the elves except her current lover and her daughter. She wanted them to make a new race of elves, but none of the elves in the present reality are going to be there. So instead she just kills elves manipulate the factions, eventually into uniting so they'll be strong enough to hold off chaos long enough for her plan.
>>
>>53329826
Well, as long as you don't mind witnessing the birth and death of a few quadrillion universes you can buy literally anything in the generic Xianxia jump with enough time extension drawbacks.
>>
>>53329828
Alternatively, don't fear them at all because diminishing returns. :^)

Also, specialization is for insects and a jumper with one perk a thousand times would pretty much get crushed by almost anything that was even remotely serious.
>>
>>53329828
Unless he's using diminishing returns.
>>
>>53329812
Not him but your logic only applies if you ignore literally everything else in the jump. Just grab power from the world around you or a friendly neighbourhood cosmic entity for extra juice if you want to make cool shit.

And no there was no stopping the End Times, that was the entire point of it.
>>
>>53329932
The world was ending. Not having just another big war, but actually ending. She just started the next world early to give it hope for survival rather than the inevitable end every previous world faced.

She was breaking a cycle, and then the Bretonnians figured out what was going on and broke the cycle with Chaos as the victor.

Uh, no. The complaints were because an elf goddess was fucking over everyone for her stupid plan. The focus is mainly on Bretonnia because that has a jump and they're basically her pets. She fucked over elves too and didn't give a single fuck about any race outside of humans and elves, to the point of not giving them representation in her new world.

And I don't care more. I'm listing her crimes. The post you're complaining about also mentioned the humans she's been using.

>>
>>53329932
She was also planning on abandoning most of Bretonnia except the very best (her Damsels and Grail Knights). It's possible that there was only a limited amount of people she could send over to the new world. We don't really know since the plan wasn't really expanded on beyond what we've already brought up, most of Bretonnia told her to fuck off, and the few people that did go to the new world (or the pocket dimension that would become the new world, if you want to be specific,) were slaughtered by Be'lakor when he found out about it.

>>53330013
The intention was to break the cycle by giving the humans and elves a head start in fighting Chaos, since Chaos was eventually going to show up. Every world is eventually destroyed by Chaos, but with the plan (supposedly), the new world would be prepared to kick the shit out of Chaos when it finally showed up.

First you complain she used them as meatshields despite the fact without her power they would murderfucked by Chaos, then you complain she killed the boys, and now your complaining she killed Elves.

The only person you are insulting here is yourself.
>>
>>53330091
Not him but he's just explaining why he thinks she's a dick, man.

That's fine. Good or bad, almost everyone in anything called Warhammer is a dick.
>>
>>53327740
>Nunyunni

I don't like his policies about rabbits.
>>
>>53330091
It's more a case of you ignoring my posts. In that very first thread (technically second since I talked to Val about it before anyone else even replied) that same issue was brought up, and I pointed out that the Bretonnians could've joined the Empire. There was even a conversation about how effective the Empire is at anti-Chaos stuff. You're just willfully ignoring that.
>>
>>53330091
Why are you so defensive over this woman?
>>
>>53330119
...how effective IS the Empire at anti-Chaos stuff? What's their end of the world contingency that has nothing to do with Age of Sigmar if we've all agreed not to talk about Sigmar for Fantasy purposes?
>>
>>53330058
What's the point of even talking about the godforce if you don't need it to be strong? Strange doesn't have anything like that, he just makes pacts with tons of entities. You might as well not buy it, and it wouldn't change anything.
>>
>>53330057
>>53330085
As I recall, Slaanesh was a little distracted with digesting the souls of most of the Elven races, so the Elves were able to get the drop on it while it was vulnerable.
>>
>>53330114
What are his policies about rabbits again?
>>
>>53330160
>we've all agreed not to talk about Sigmar for Fantasy purposes?
No we didn't? This entire conversation is about events in the end times books.
>>
>>53330160
Given that they got their shit pushed in during End Times, their anti-Chaos policy apparently wasn't very good.
>>
>>53330195
The Alliance was about to win until Manfried betrayed them.
>>
>>53330183
I thought Sigmar was set after them but fair enough.

>>53330195
Well, that's that answered then. Looks like the Empire's a bust.
>>
>>53330160
The Empire has kept itself afloat for many years. Chaos comes in at least once a generation. The Empire's main enemy is itself. The system of Electoral Counts causes several civil wars. Usually they rebel because they're not getting their way.
>>
>>53330195
Everything was literally going to end with Chaos' loss until Manlet- sorry, Manfred von Carstein backstabbed everybody like a shithead.

LITERALLY.
>>
>>53330222
That doesn't answer my question at all.

>>53330223
So basically kill the manlet, save the world?
>>
>this level of retarded moralfagging
Stop acting like a bunch of fucking hypocrites. If you care so much about what a character did and think that it makes them terrible for doing it, then don't just fucking murder them and calling it a day, that just shows you're a vindictive asshole with no integrity looking for a reason to kill someone you hate.

If you think it's so fucked up, show everyone the truth, fix the problem, and convince everyone including the people who caused it in the first place that they were wrong and that your way is the best way.

But no, you fucks are just using this as an excuse. A way to justify your bad habit of trying to rationalize the pattern of wanton murder and destruction you bring to every world you go to, with no attempt to improve anyone's situations in doing so. You never reflect on your own actions in the same way you care so much about what other people do, nor do you have the self awareness to recognize you're basically the same if not worse as the people you condemn.

Fuck yourselves, you irredeemable pieces of shit. At least recognize that you're monsters wearing human skin and learn to accept the fact that you aren't paragons of virtue for slaughtering people who aren't either.

Yes. Kill the manlet vampire.

>>53330203
>>53330223
Yeah, the ALLIANCE was winning. The Alliance is pretty much everyone NOT Chaos and still 'alive' (Nagash and the other undead aside). The Empire itself got its' shit kicked in. All the good guys got their shit kicked in, for no good reason. The final battle was the only time the good guys were actually straight up winning, and even then they still lost in the end.
>>
>>53330269
To be fair, straight shota is a patrician fetish. Honestly the more I understand about this plan, the more it sounds like a creepy humanboo that just somehow ended up in charge because all the more competant Elven deities are dead or distracted

Retard.
>>
>>53330307
Compared to Chaos, yes, pretty much everyone else counts as 'the good guys'. Also, Tomb Kings compared to Nagash.

Actually, now that I think about it, Nagash is still an asshole, even compared to the Chaos Gods.
>>
>>53330292
She's basically supposed to be the baby of the elven pantheon, more or less. Daughter of the two highest gods, youngest in age, considered the 'sister' of the elven race, the works.
>>
>>53330300
>If you murder murderers, then that puts you on a moral high-ground above people who aren't murderers.
You are not a good person. Accept it.
>>
>>53330329
Reminder that the only reason Nagash is still an enemy in AoS is because he feels that being a god isn't 'special' enough now that most of his counterparts got to be gods too, so he's off sulking and trying to conquer their lands.

>>53328942
It basically makes it so you can forge anything as good or better than anyone else can. Given lackluster mortal materials, you could make a sword that could cleave through stone and a suit of armor that could let you tank assault rifles. Given great mortal materials you could make Excalibur. Given Uru you could make Mjolnir. And that's without getting into how it makes any enchanting you do significantly easier. Or how it applies to pretty much anything you craft, even advanced technology.

>When Sigmar Heldenhammer was unifying the tribes of the Empire, he called upon the Bretonni to join his alliance. The leaders of the twenty tribes refused, however, disdaining to bow to a foreigner. Sigmar fought the Greenskins without the Bretonni and forged his Empire. The Bretonni were to remain feuding tribes for almost another thousand years. All this was to change around the time of Gilles le Breton, the legendary 'leader of battles' who forged the Bretonnians into a single nation and laid the foundations of the kingdom of Bretonnia.

So basically the Bretonni had already made their bed when the Lady came into the picture, they were basically getting their ass kicked.

Just because shades of grey exist does not mean that there aren't black and white situations, characters, or stories worth telling.
Even if there is nothing but grey uncertainty in real life, there is still room for stories that explore stark contrasts. These stories can still have valid messages, be entertaining, and have complex characters. Struggling against evil is a valiant motive, and you're trying to argue that being or doing good is boring.

Your math is off. Way off. There are billions of star systems in a galaxy. The Milky Way is estimated to have somewhere between one hundred and four hundred billion. So if it takes you a hundred thousand years to destroy a galaxy, that means it takes 0.000001 years to destroy a star system, or about thirty-one seconds. And a planet is a very small part of an entire star system, the Earth makes up less than a ten thousandth of the Sol system's mass. So really, destroying a planet takes barely any time at all.

>Are you saying that, regardless of context, killing is never justified?
I'm saying that even if it is justified, it still makes you no better for doing it. Heroes improve people's lives and better the world by adding something to it.

All you're doing is trying to take the moral high ground for killing someone on the basis that they're assholes and caused problems, without fixing any of those problems yourself, helping any of the victims, or dealing with any of the consequences of the fact that you killed them.

Anon, I'm not an expert on astronomy, but I do happen to be proficient in the use of basic math-e-matics. And it seems to me that if it took one thousand years to be able to destroy one planet – and that's assuming you start with basically no power – and it takes ten thousand years to be able to destroy a galaxy, why, that must mean there are only ten planets in a galaxy. Which is weird because a quick Google search says there are at least one hundred billion planets in the milky way galaxy.

>>53330692
I thought about it and decided that just because it takes you a long-ass time to reach that level doesn't mean that even the lower levels aren't pretty hilarious powerful.

Because that kind of depends on if you kill her. It massively alters the context for those problems. If she deserves to die, then you can plan around what to do if you kill her, or if leaving her would be the better solution.

>I haven't read the whole document, but it looks fuckin weird.
The jump is real. It been on a few threads getting put together.
The setting is based on the work of a guy named Jack Chick, who puts out these little comics called Tracks about various religious topics from a fundamentalist, literalist, and sometimes tinfoil hat point of view. There is a lot if Pic Related when you read them. Where you don't know even know _How_ begin to respond to that. Reading one in isiolation would give you about a 50/50 guess if the author was some brilliant satirist/Troll Messiah, or a Genuine and complete Nutter.

The jump puts you in a setting where all the Tracts are completely real and accurate, where the world is exactly as Jack Chick presents it.

That's Earth-1610 Richards, aka The Maker. He's the super villain of the council of Reeds. Which I wonder, Council of Reeds vs Council of Ricks. Who'd win?
>>
>>53331009
It's the Weaver, so more like an evil reed from an alternate universe.
>>

Ricks would win simply because at the first sign of trouble Reeds ALMOST ALWAYS KILLS HIMSELF AND EVERY OTHER PERSON AROUND HIM BECAUSE HE IS JUST THAT TERRIBLE

Dicks Vs. Dicks. Whoever wins, we're fucked.

Ugh, those bozos. I'm gonna have to give Reed credit, at least he didn't form his council in a hypocritical attempt to get away from bureaucracy. No, he did it because he wasn't smart enough to hack it on his own (I assume - I don't actually read Marvel comics because I'm not an idiot).
Really, the fun of seeing the two councils going at it would be from the anticipation of not knowing which one would fuck up first. My bet is on the Reeds, though. Individual Ricks don't usually fuck up that badly. Reed is like a groflimite in a grape store. He just can't keep himself from fucking up. It's his natural state of being.

The Joker's thing is that he's crazy. Insanity is the whole point of his character.

Admittedly I've never read Worm, but I though Jack Slash was a sociopath from being raised in a bunker by crazy parents or something. The ultimate goal of diplomancing them into being functioning members of society is still valid, even if he's not technically crazy though.
>>
>>53331250
>torture people forever
There's a useful spell in d&d under the Pain domain, so it's a divine spell, that puts a person in a state of immortal agony and suffering. It's pretty high-level but is also infinite duration by default, so pretty handy for dispensing some absolute justice on the deeply deserving.
Good thing is you can get an indefinite duration without needing Eternal from the Seven Deadly Sins jump. Neat.

>>
>>53331267
It would definitely work on Joker, in my opinion. Whether it'd fix him, like anon is assuming, or just make him drop/double down on the clown gimmick is something I can't opine on. Jack Slash probably won't go full good guy, but with the trauma that broke him like a pane of glass gone getting him to stop being a cunt probably won't be as hard.
>>
>>53331250
What the fuck kind of infinite transgression did Jontron do?
>>
>>53331158
Kill them before they can cause any problems and fix the shit they already broke. Specifically, I would use magic to make them explode from the inside fro a safe distance, destroying all their internal organs and killing them instantly with no chance of survival.

I'm not a moral paragon, and my problem isn't with killing people who need to die because they cause loads of problems, it's with killing people who don't need to die for those problems to be fixed in the first place. Even if you do chose to kill them, I don't really care about it so much, as much as I'm bothered by people having a fucking hero complex over it.

You can fix the problems in Warhammer without killing this stupid elf goddess. She's not a literal incarnation of evil.

You chose to kill her because you don't like her and think she deserves retribution for what she's already done, regardless of her motives, which doesn't give you the moral high ground for doing.

You can't fucking negotiate with the Joker or Jack Slash because they're monsters wearing human skin dedicated to evil for its own sake.

So he's capable of making moral decisions, he just makes the evil ones.

People aren't built that way, opinions can't be so easily changed. Brains are pretty fixed things, really. If you can change someone's mind despite them not having a hook to attach the new opinion to, then you made that hook. You rewrote them, took the old pattern and replaced it with something better to your liking. You killed the original and replaced them with something fake. And you say I'm the monster. It probably depends on how you wank multiple exaltations interacting with each other and/or how Caste/Aspect/Favored abilities work. Since that is something that varies by jumper you may or may not be able to "collect them all!".

Personally I go with jumper having the combined total of the exaltations' capabilities or the highest of the possessed exaltations depending on the subject in question. With jumper having the metaphysical signs of whatever exaltation are currently in active use or jumper's choice if none are being actively used.

This particular interpretation prevents issues with being discovered as a vile anathema in Dragonblooded as long as no vile anathema powers are used.

No, you're vindictive because you feel the need to kill someone where it isn't necessary to improve the situation beyond satisfying your own selfish need to cause harm.
It doesn't matter that you're trying to rationalize or validate your actions somehow to deny the fact, you are a vindictive asshole, that someone 'deserves it' doesn't change that fact.

I feel the need to kill someone because she's done evil. No amount of "I'm sorry.", reformed attitude, or good deeds makes up for past evil actions. That's why, in real life, you go to jail regardless of how bad you feel. This applies even to murder, and where I live, murder can get the death penalty. So all the evil she's done to Bretonnia means she needs to be punished, even if she doesn't need to be. After all, it's not necessary we punish any criminals at all, yet we consider it a good thing to do.

Why should she be exempt?

I agree (with the latter speaker). Studies have indicated that the death penalty is not an effective deterrent for crime. Instead, the only real basis behind the death penalty as a form of "punishment" is the idea of "revenge," that it gives us satisfaction to deal out pain to those who initially caused it. That sort of cycle is unhealthy for everyone involved. That's why I support trying to help criminals reform in prison. Otherwise, we're just adding to the deaths and pain.

Moreover, do not try to make it sound like everyone adheres to your vision of justice. Issues such as the death penalty and treatment of criminals continue to be a widely debated issue. I respect your opinion, even though I feel that you are wrong. So I hope you will be respectful that other people may not have the same view of what is the right thing to do in a situation like this.

I actually DO have a moral compass. At least I like to think I have one.

There's just admittedly a disconnect when it comes to divinity and all that stuff, and I do admit I need to sit down and rethink that stuff some more. I've been on the fence about it for some time, and more times than none it's just a personal view that I don't really have a right to some things. But it's hard to say how much self-esteem influences that, you know?

It's more or less why I don't tell others what should be right or wrong. Unless it's pineapple on pizza. Then I will silently judge.
>>
It depends on the form of justice you believe in, how much faith you put into sapient life and how much you hold life sacred. Killing people as a form of punishment means you have no faith in their ability to hold remorse or guilt and repent for their actions, or you're petty, either way. Trying to reform them through punishment like lengthy jail sentence, therapy or whatever means there is a level of faith that they have the ability to reform themselves and make up for what they've done.

I don't think either side is gonna get through to the other about this since their values are innately different and an even level of respect isn't given. Ya'll mind packing it up?

My concern is that your approach is not focused on righting the wrongs or on saving people. The person you are utterly opposed to is someone that I could see feasibly persuading to take a more moderate approach, allowing for an alliance that will mitigate the problems she would cause and allow us to cooperate for the purpose of helping others.

In contrast, your approach, as far as I can tell, is focused on punishing her instead of anything constructive. Keep in mind that killing her won't "right" the things that she has did, and is just a cheap answer to the problem that doesn't actually solve anything.

>She has done wrong. It will be righted.
No. It will be Punished. Stop pretending like you're doing something good and not something selfish and vindictive and I'll concede. You have the power to do whatever you want, and you can decide how you which to act on that, but I'm not going to let you get away with thinking it makes you a good person to seek retribution specifically.

If you were doing it because you had to do it to improve the state of the world, to fix things, then that's fine.
If you admit you're doing it because you're angry with them and just want the satisfaction of getting revenge, that's also fine.
If you chose to spread the truth to the world about what this person's done, and give the means to decide this persons fate to the victimized, that's also fine.

You can't have your cake and eat it too though, you can't act on a sense of vindication and spite and pretend like it makes you a good, moral person. I don't care what you do, I care about how you see and feel about what you're doing. Go ahead, kill her. But recognize you aren't committing a right in doing so. Recognize that you aren't a paragon of virtue for murdering someone who doesn't need to die for the world to be improved.
>>
>>53332138
It's only over-punishing from your perspective, just as the offing of a goddess is justified from your perspective. There are still plenty of people there who consider it justified after what druggies did in the past.

And that's the point. You can justify anything as long as you assert your own opinion. Kill one person, kill a dozen, kill a couple worlds, all of it can be justified just by manipulating your definition of "crime" and "punishment". And that's literally all you're doing here. The only redeeming thing about this is that this is all make belief inside your head, even if it makes your rant about morals all the more retarded.

Is it necessary to punish criminals? That is a debatable question, as while it may sate the families hurt by the criminal and prevent the criminal from doing more harm, it is more focused on evening the score than rebuilding what has been damaged and and lost.

A more prudent question is how much we should focus on punishment of criminals, and how much we should focus on the reform of criminals. I favor the latter, as we need to know how to forgive if we want to go further than the logic of an eye-for-an-eye.

I think the big issue is that while the villain in question has done much harm, she has good intentions, enough that I think that it's feasible that she could be convinced to do the right thing. On the other hand, I think it's okay to send out an "avatar" to fix some problems and serve as a role model, as long as you don't use too much OOC shit and the people are aspiring to be something they can actually, feasibly achieve. Same with leaving behind organisations to help things along.

How the fuck do these people play tabletops if they're so afraid of killing evil?

There's no such thing as 'a' moral obligation that applies to all jumpers, in all situations, even sufficiently powerful ones.

There's also the issue of the jumper as an outsider acting on behalf of a local population without their consent or permission.

It's like sneaking into your neighbor's yard and secretly weeding their garden in the middle of the night.
Some of your neighbors might appreciate it, and some of them will press charges.
If you asked them beforehand, they might let you do it, or they might tell you to mind your own business even if they really do need help, but you still trespassed on their land and made alterations to their property, which you had no permission to do.

I can get this.

I want to believe that life is precious and that killing is badong. In fiction, however, there are plenty of people who are pure evil and need to be put down, and I don't think you should hesitate when you meet one of these people. The trick is being able to tell the difference.

Nah. Let them aspire to things they can never achieve. Sure you'll get people who give up, but on the other hand you won't get people who achieve the end goal and go "I'll stop here, this is fine". Instead you'll have people ever pushing harder, improving a little bit more every day.

Ok I don’t know what I did to piss off Jumpchan but I am sorry. Being an Ogre wasn’t fun but being undead… is a lot worse.

This was a rough jump for my wives and myself. Thankfully we still had alternate forms. Though Not soon after we were awakened would we be faced with a major crisis

Someone was using the black pyramid to corrupt the undead and turn them to their control, they had also locked away Settra and his army.

It took some major magic and necromancy (Alice is awesome) to free Settra and with his army we stormed the black pyramid.

I used the army as a distraction to sneak in with my companions. It wasn’t easy we managed to survive a near endless amount of guardians and traps to make it to Arkhan the servant of Nagash.

It was a good thing we took him by surprise for even with that advantage it turned out to be a tough and brutal fight, he used the power of the nine books of Nagash against us and if not for Akitsu’s magical warding we might have lost. However working together we managed to overwhelm him. Tamamo laid his soul to rest, destroying his body which caused the entire pyramid to explode. Somehow though we survived. We also got the books so they could never be used again. They are currently locked away in my warehouse with the namless sword of planet slaying.

You're not morally obliged to do anything, but personally I believe that someone with the power to make things better should at least try to help. That's why in pretty much every jump I go to I try to improve the world by selling advanced technology, fighting monsters, stopping villains, etc.

Anon you don't get it. Anon is one of those people who thinks they should sell the Vatican, and all the artwork in it, and give all of that food to poor people.
Despite the fact the Catholic Church makes mad tourism money off of the Vatican. The Catholic Church is one of the, if not THE, biggest charity organization in the world. And that all the art would end up in the hands of private collectors, never to be seen by the average joe ever again.

In other words he favors things that help RIGHT NOW, and then stop being useful. Instead of things that will help more people for decades, or even centuries to come.
>>
>>53332154
What comes through is mostly just that you have a handful of logic-based sacred cows, and just use those to build up a framework. The cows themselves are strange things like "Do onto others as you wouldn't mind having done unto you" or "If something is the spirit of all fire, don't kill it" with no actual calls for Right Action, as I'd expect from a moral code. That's not really a moral compass, so much as an ethical framework. Don't be evil =/= be good, basically.

Also, there's no need to silently judge for pineapple on pizza. It's like the serial killers that leave notes begging you to stop them. They know their wrong.

>>53332266
No. I mean, I might do some of that stuff anyway, but there's no real obligation to it. My obligation is mostly to ensure the world can grow into a world people want to live in.

>an imagination of an actual scenario
No. Self insert fantasies are almost never actual scenarios. Nothing goes realistically because the self insert is almost always right and can't truly fail because then it wouldn't be entertaining to the person doing the self insert. You sometimes get people who try to turn this trope on its head and go overboard with the masochism, but those are just as bad as the perpetual winners.

This morals argument is no different from paladin threads out on actual /tg/.

Every good detective needs a Watson, didn't you know?

I'm without my magic or my powers again. But I'm used to that by now. If I only used my magic for everything, I'd be downright useless in situations like these. I started this journey with punching and sword abilities, so that's how I'll be here, too. It does take some getting used to, though. The bottle is my friend is a little too often in this place.

Two anomalies happen almost right away. I have the…ahem, 'fortune' of finding Erika on the shores of the island before the storm truly begins and we get acquainted quickly. She immediately announces there is a murder mystery afoot, even though no murders have happened yet. I stared boredly at her as she monologued for several minutes before getting annoyed at me not looking impressed.

I'm getting too old for this shit.

The second anomaly was that the guests included the arrival of one Ange Ushiromiya. Not that the presence of not one but two children did anything to make the Ushiromiya family any less of a powder keg. Anyways, every good detective story needs a Watson, so I follow Erika around and echo her exposition. Constantly. While refusing to explain myself and drinking out of a bottle as opposed to doing so.

That said, I had neglected to effectively consulted my background memories before the incident truly began. It did seem a little strange why a servant was being treated with a little more favoritism than was usually given to Kinzo's staff, and why Genji went out of his way to make sure I didn't go anywhere or do anything dangerous.

I know the answers already, like a child who opened his Christmas presents early. What I didn't expect was receiving the venomous hatred of the 'Golden Witch' herself. It was confusing to me, until I had remembered a bit too late what it was I had forgotten.

Or rather, what Battler had forgotten. I made the mistake of being supportive to them, only to disappear for years.

I'm used to fighting.

This is nothing new to me. Once my adventure began, I was always fighting someone or something.

I learned the value of retreating when in a battle I could not win. You can call me cowardly if you want, but there are some battles that cannot be win. Whether with wits or raw power, there are foes I could not hope to completely defeat in a head-on confrontation.

Is it strange? Even though I can now boil the seas, shatter the earth, and move the celestial twinkles in the sky, there are heights that elude me, even now. Gaining power was always a humbling experience for me instead of a motivating one. The price for my magic was steep, and I found myself constantly relying on my physical fighting ability and tried-and-true mundane skills than let my almost peerless might as a magician take the forefront. I still hesitate to formally declare myself Sorcerer Supreme just because of the weight of the responsibility and the price magic often asks of me.

Destroyer of Worlds, Decade. This is what is reflected in my eyes.

But that will lead to a brain drain effect as third world nutrimancers are hired out of their home nations by first world corporations, both to provide their greater skills to more wealthy patrons and to prevent the food industry from taking a stock hit when they undercut the price of food. You've got to use your superior power to grant yourself a monopoly on force and restructure global society from the ground up, or else everything you give the world will wind up being horded by the powerful after you leave.

Providing a kickass afterlife is pretty high on the list as well.
Of course, as it gets better and better, every setting starts to look pretty horrendous, even settings not dissimiliar to mdoern earth. So, thats a problem, potentially.

I had plenty of time to ponder this paradox when I saw the hungry stares of the Witches of the Senate just beyond the corner of my mind's eye. All watching the events unfolding with rapt attention. They, beings of might and concepts, watching the proceedings like a pack of wolves. And representing them were Bernkatel and Lambdadelta.

One of them looks familiar.

It felt strange to me why everyone was so interested in the events of a single murder mystery. Had they become so detached that minute pleasures of the mind were all they had?...is that what Yuki was warning me against this entire time? If I hadn't gone out of my way to keep being a superhero, then…

No. Best not to dwell on it. I have a job to do. And both conflict and a foul force move to make matters worse than they were already. A black truth had snuck into the proceedings, and I must crush it before it makes my life substantially more difficult than it already is. Honestly, I'd like to see it try.

I'm on the opposite side of an old fr…erm. Ally. Friend is pushing it. More of a 'vaguely tolerated acquaintance who previously had similar goals.' Erika sees me as part of the anomaly and is determined to crush me. She challenged me to an oddly specific game as opposed to fighting me or trying to debate me out of existence, though. It was called 'Paradox-Billiards-Taiwanese-Roulette-Fourth-Dimensional-Hypercube-Chess-Strip Poker.'

I won, by the way. Skull Servants are OP if you know how to use them right.

I confronted the blackened truth in the form of an evil version of Battler. He was backed up by Hyde and the Masked Pain, as if to add insult to injury. It's nothing new to me. They had new powers, and so did I. It was exhausting, but I managed to emerge victorious in the two challenges presented to me.

/jc/, the pinnacle of escapist fantasy on /tg/.

>>
>>53332747
Something was eating at me, though. Usually, the pushback Is a little more sudden and violent. My intrusion doesn't normally get much attention or involvement in events unless I actively work towards it. Was there a reason I was suddenly Battler's shadow, now working with Beatrice as someone pushing him towards the truth?

It's because I hadn't been moved to this world. Rather, I had been summoned.

I was confronted by Bernkastel and Lambadelta. I had been placed on the board as a new source of amusement, and in hopes of coaxing the truth out of the Catbox. They knew that as a living connection to other worlds, the disturbance I caused would be liable to tilt the game in their favor. They weren't expecting me to end up on Beatrice's side, however, and that it was a 'concern' for them if I helped her win.

Bern was the only 'concerned' one, but Lambda's expression told me all I needed to know about the shell game I was really playing.

I was offered a chance to become the Furniture of the Voyager duo, since I had been a 'endearing if stupid' piece on the board. I refused. It did not endear me to them very much, to put it mildly, and I was VERY clear about what I thought about the idea. The 'fighting arena' clause of the catbox was starting to fade, and it looked like this would turn into an actual battle…one I had no chance of winning. They made it clear this offer was not my decision to make, and I would become their Piece or be rendered into nonexistence.

And then.

What was the combo from one of your jumps that became clothes beam?
>>
>>53332761
Maybe also some stuff from Ar Tonelico?
>>
>>53332755
What does it say about me when my jumper is an apathetic observer who sometimes kidnaps people to join him on his journey of apathetic observation?
>>
>>53332760
I. Hear. A. Sound.

It reverberates across the entirety of the Rokkenjima Meta World, and everything shakes like an earthquake. The sky above cracks like glass and the stars above immediately boil. The ground beneath me becomes like as a feather and I have to immediately shield myself from the backlash of what is unleashed. My mind hurts and I can feel my nose and mouth bleeding, along with several of my veins as the storm only comes to a halt after a few minutes of this onslaught. I was completely exhausted just keeping myself alive from it. All of my Divine Charms had shattered, simultaneously.

The catbox steadily put itself back together, almost groaning in pain from the weight of what had just transpired. The remnants of what was destroyed resembled newly-fallen snow.

I stared in shock and horror. The other two looked astonished. Well, Lambda did. Bernkastel looked shocked before bursting out into laughter. Loud, mad, laughter. Amusement. Disgust. Many emotions, all put together, comprehending what had just happened. She calmed down after a few minutes, and then looked at me before looking directly at me.

"This isn't over."

They both disappeared. I collapsed into blissful unconsciousness. When I woke, I was back at the table, and a new game would begin.

We know how the story goes. I realize what truth Beatrice is trying to teach Battler and I nudge him to the truth. A little bit sooner. Just soon enough. An old, young friend of mine returns as the Witch of Hope, in a strikingly similar color and style to my old time as a magical Kamen Rider. Impressed by the tenacity (and spite) of a certain detective, I convince Erika that the ability to solve not one but an endless number of mysteries is easily worth twice as much as simply being stuck in the Rokkenjima murders for the rest of eternity.

…but, what was that, before?

Huh, I did the opposite. I always concerned myself with doing everything I could for everyone else, the morality of my actions at every step and turn and what the right thing to do in any given scenario for the greatest good and fewest downsides would be. Nothing I ever did was good enough. It was exhausting, burdensome, kinda dumb given it's a strategy game. Although being straight up told to think about myself was weird.

So, current chain, focusing on my own happy endings. I still try to do good where I can but I've stopped with the constant self-judgement and have allowed things to be okay sometimes. Honestly felt a stupid amount of relief when I just wrote someone telling my Jumper they did good for once. S'probably the best chain I've ever had.

After you've saved the world a few times, you're emotionally tired enough that it's hard to think about poverty.
>>
>>53332784
It doesn't say anything about you whatsoever. Indulging in escapism doesn't necessarily say anything about a person. You can have fantasies about wanting to have three way sex with Emma Watson and Hilary Clinton, it doesn't have to mean anything.

If you want to say you're apathetic, then go ahead and say it. What's the point of beating around the bush and trying to bait conclusions with a carrot on the stick?

>>
>>53332571
No, but you see, I responded to his argument just fine. See, as evidenced by the reply chain that went on for quite some time after I called him a disgusting piece of shit. Because that was the basis of my argument.

I was specifically arguing that he was a piece of shit for doing something and thinking a certain way, and that he should admit it, that was the point. I wasn't trying to convince him to change his ways, just to recognize he was a bad person.

Insulting him did nothing to invalidate my argument. You just choose to use it to do so because you aren't willing to confront the rest of it.
>>
>>53332824
That's prefectly natural. It's pretty amazing for normal humans in the real world to truly grasp just how much of an issue poverty and similarly large topics are. As a jumper, you may be in an extraordinary position to make positive changes, but having only a limited window of 10 years to make improvement while also dealing with the other matters of the setting, then seeing it all 'disappear' when you go to your next world; so long as you're still at core human, that would naturally be emotionally exhausting.

Could a Skyfather jumper potentially just make gods whole cloth? I imagine it would be more energy intensive than just finding a mortal and making them into a god but the idea of Skyfather jumper wanting a sandwich and conjuring a god of sandwiches just because they are powerful and lazy enough seems amusing.

>I could just will a sandwich into existence with my awesome power but perhaps it would be better to create a new god dedicated to making me the best sandwich in the world! It is exhausting and a huge abuse of power but it is still better than having to put the work in to conjure a sandwich every single time I get hungry. Making a god is just doing one thing but making sandwiches as I need them is doing a bunch of things, fuck that.

Though I suppose uplifting the owner of a sandwich shop would be almost as funny of an abuse of power.

I think it depends on a very extraordinary set of circumstances and conclusions coming about.
There are amnesia drawbacks in both parts, the optional one in Murders and the mandatory one in Catbox. It'd obviously be a lot harder if you took amnesia in both.

I think a sufficiently intelligent/solver build jumper could work it out, depending on their builds (both in gauntlet and pre-gauntlet), if they're on the human side.

I think it would be a lot harder for the witch side to figure it. I feel like nobody on the witch side would even really devote any energy to working out the truth, since more-or-less the whole point of the witch's objective is to prove something impossible happened.

But when Bernkastel's involved, any miracle might happen.

I don't think he is. If only because he's about as strong as Hercules, and if Thor were Gaea's son and a God of Strength their fights would be more hilariously one-sided.

Looking back at modern Thor comics, if his portfolio is ever brought up, it's just Thunder/Storms.

Nope, and nobody here wants his stuff anyway. He basically took your jump and deleted the fluff, more or less, for his preview.
>>
>>53333733
RWBY isn't exceptionally dangerous, at least it doesn't seem so thus far, so long as I stay away from Salem's bullshit
Anima is extremely dangerous, but that danger can be handled with some power and knowledge of the setting
Young Justice isn't that bad for a DC setting
God of War and Greek Myth are both based on Greek Mythology, and should be handle-able with the previous jumps.
Homeworld is in space, so nothing before it is super useful for it, but it doesn't deal much with planets.
I know nothing about Elite Dangerous beyond the fact it's in space
I know know that specific Marvel Cartoon, so I assumed the worst.
>>

>I don't think he is. If only because he's about as strong as Hercules, and if Thor were Gaea's son and a God of Strength their fights would be more hilariously one-sided.
Herc's a weird dude. He always has that level of strength – even when he just has demigod powers and isn't the god of strength. Part of it was apparently from Hera breastfeeding him as a baby. But it's fair to say that anyway.

Also I'd imagine there might be differences in what kind of boosts you get depending on the Elder God in question. Gaia might give you more physically improvements while the others may improve your magical abilities more.

I'd help more with the Sword if I could. Sorry. And I'm glaf you liked it.

Young Justice and Avengers, while dangerous and filled with cosmic & magical BS, could reasonably be done first since there are a bunch of other heroes or villains who could support you in dangerous situations and provide advice or guidance. Plus the powers and equipment you can get from those jumps would really help for the rest of the list.

RWBY, Elite Dangerous, or Homeworld would be next since they're all only slightly more dangerous and the stuff you gained from YJ and Avengers will put you way above the average threat.

From there you could go in any order, but out of all of them I'd say Mage and GoW are the most dangerous.

Tbh I feel like Cthon and Set as your parents would make you more powerful in general, just because they canonically were much stronger than Gaia and Oshtur as a result of eating so many of their siblings. I never thought I'd say this, but I'll be glad to see him gone.
>>
>>53334230
What the fuck are you even defending here anon? His post was nothing but insults at dirge. There was nothing there but shitting on him. If you want, I'll prove it to you.

>>53334146
>I suppose I shouldn't have been so quick to discredit all the bad things they said about you.
Immediate escalation to attacking his character.

>I assumed you were an intelligent person, obviously i assumed too much, sorry about that.
Immediate insult to his intelligence, backhanded, literally from out of nowhere too.

>Oh, so I have your permission to no longer give a shit about you. Thanks. That'll save me alot of effort that I could more fruitfully use elsewhere. They say never meet your heroes, and while calling you a 'hero' of mine is one heck of an exaggeration, the principal is still in play. You've been quite the disappointment and actually I should thank you. When you turn tail and leave again, i won't miss you or wonder about what could have been; I'll be glad.
Obvious attempt to turn something he couldn't insult dirge over into an attack. None of it makes any fucking sense in context with the conversation, and frankly it just reads like him being an asshole.

Both of you are annoying little tumors.

Not including Food Fight

Do it.
I'm going to, but only after Jack offers a FemDoom companion. For reasons.
>>
>>53334236
Real mature fake!Dirge.

>>53334328
Don't hold this against Dirge. This is not him, it's just some trouble maker pretending to be him. Dirge doesn't act like this.
>>
>>53334266
I see, that is a problem.

You pretty much only have the standard 10 years to help them.

A 'modern' jump wouldn't help due to sheer numbers of them, not to mention the repercussions of 10K super-powered little girls.

Plus there's the need of basic amenities such as food and shelter.

Generic Sugar Bowl might work, but there's still the problem of food and shelter. You'll have to teach all of them for a long while so they can live a relatively normal-ish life.

Then there's always HeroBBS, maybe set up the setting in a way that could help them out for their benefit, I dunno.

Yeah, can't really think of much. Sorry.
>>
>>53334348
>implying I ever claimed to be dirge
I never fucking pretended to be dirge. I'm responding to this asshole >>53334146 and shitting on him because he frankly deserves it for being such a horrendous piece of shit.
>>
>>53334337
Glad to annoy you. Hope we spread to your lymph nodes.

>>53334348
Eh, did you see >>53334336
I don't have your faith, anon. But I hope you're right. This doesn't mesh with what I've heard of him.
Can a namefag confirm whether that guy is Dirge, or the poster formerly know as Dirge is legit or not, please?
>>
>>53334348
>Dirge doesn't act like this.
Yes, he has. Are you just fucking pissed because he acknowledged he allowed replacement jumps/shits on his own?
>>
>>53334367
I don't know if the guy who was claiming to be dirge was actually dirge or not, but I'm telling you that you are an actual piece of shit.
>>
>>53334366
Well, then you should butt in on other peoples dialogues without making it clear you are not one of the original participants. Thats just manners, and it keeps things straight.
Please do so from now on.
>>
>>53334395
Fuck you. This is 4chan, I don't need to fucking identify myself at all parts of a conversation on an anonymous image board, if I wanted to do that I'd wear a fucking name.
>>
>>53334184
Right now? Mostly Warhammer: Vampire Counts, some minor work on Grand Order and Automata and the occasional work on a surprise or two, though neither surprise is likely to be ready before next month at the earliest.
>>
>>53334376
Are you sayng this is typical behaviour from Dirge? What sort of things like this has he done in the past?
I'm relatively new and Dirge's leaving was before my arrival, you see.
>>
>>53334037
>Well I suppose I could easily just delete my drive and migrate it elsewhere, and the old link not working anymore would be a good enough sign, no?
Do it, bitch. I fucking dare you.
>>
>>53334393
Dirge, stahp.
>>
He wants a shoehorn, the kind with teeth. 'cause he knows there's no such thing.
>>
>>53334355
It's a pretty big logistics challenge yeah. Being A: superpowered and B: children introduces a lot of factors that wouldn't be such a big deal with adults. It's a fun challenge though, even if it's time consuming.

I'll check those out though, thanks for the tips.
>>
>>53334414
Okay, if thats what you want, but that means it's on your head when confusion happens because you didn't feel like being clear. Your head, not the other posters.

>>
>>53334095
It's pretty good. Seems a bit sparse as it is, but I assume you'll flesh it out beyond the old jump on the drive in time. I can tell my friend he was being too sentimental. Are you going through replacing the rest of the jumps? I'll look forward to the rest of your work if you are.

>>53334146
You're going for this old tactic again? I mean, I suppose you're probably not him, but hell, it sure took you long enough to pull out the 4chan psychologist card again. I don't think I need to give you a reality check, but you people have played up your own image of me more than any impression I've made for myself. But hey, if it fits your narrative that I have some sort of problem, go right ahead. It's kind of amusing in its own way to see people judge others based on a 4chan thread, but I think at this point you're not amusing anyone except me.

I'm interested in a jump, and you aren't the person making it, so quite frankly, if you'd like to continue trying to drag me into your psychological projections, you can continue doing it as you please. Or maybe you'd like to engage in another round of pointless banter, I can adopt a more aggressive persona if you'd prefer. That's also an interesting writing exercise.

>>53334177
Aw leave him alone. He at least went for a roundabout loop this time before lunging for the "Dirge please leave and never come back" line.
>>
>>53334422
You'd love that, wouldn't you?
>>
Other than femDoom who would be good to waifu in Marvel Magic? Marvel has some good waifus if you avoid modern but which ones fit a magic focused jump?

King Arthur

Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

>>53334259
Nah, Vampire Diaries is jumpable, you just have to ignore the bullshit purple prose that makes the Mary Sue perks seem like they're much hotter shit than they actually are. Kinda ironic that a jump about people full of it, would be full of it.
>>
>>53334462
If he's not Dirge, then it shouldn't be a problem, right? If it is, then he can prove it and just provide the new link.
>>
>>53334037
>Well I suppose I could easily just delete my drive and migrate it elsewhere, and the old link not working anymore would be a good enough sign, no?
Please don't. Or if you do, at least post the new link on SB or something.
>>
>>53334037
You hate people using your content anyway, I'm surprised you haven't.
>>
>>53334492
Post it here too, I don't wanna pick through their thread.
>>
>>53334449
It's just the perks now, but I'll try to do some more work on it over the weekend. I'm planning on doing probably Lightning Returns and maybe the other FF13s, but I don't have any problems with the other jumps and so won't be redoing any others.
>>
>>53334463
>arvel has some good waifus
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
No. As a result of being a Comic Book Setting, and thus running for 50-odd years, and them constantly trying to throw 'twists' at us. Everyone is a slut, everyone. Men and women, they are all sluts
FemDoom only escapes because she's technically an OC.
>>
>>53334449
Please don't encourage our shitposters. We have to deal with them on a threadly basis, it'd make things less awful if only we didn't have you giving them material to work with.
>>
>>53334501
Have fun wasting your time.
>>
>>53334416
Hey Val, you said that you were including Wights in the Vampire Counts jump, right? Well, I just thought of something. If I remember right, Krell was a Wight Lord, despite having been a servant of Khorne in life. Perhaps you could have a perk for Wights where they have similar experience? Like, a perk for having that same kind of skill in both personal combat and general strategy.

Also, perhaps you could have a scenario for finding a way to recreate the Elixir of Damnation that created the original vampires?
>>
>>53334434
Well, there is always the Civilization jump, if you wanna be extra sure on getting them on their feet.

Not to mention what other repercussions of the Cursed Children having kids of their own may be.

Though that might be a bit excessive, but thats just me.

Also, happy to help.
>>
Reminder that vampires are just tomb lords who cast the spell wrong.
>>
>>53334519
Who cares? Tomb Lords don't have Blood Knights, or Vargeists. They also don't have Vlad "The man" Carstein.
>>
>>53334514
Yeah, wights are getting something for military skill, small and large scale.

Technically, Tomb Kings does have the books of Nagash, which the elixir was originally created from. I might do something with it in the three scenarios for this jump though.

If you're going to do anything, just please don't give the shitposters means to push their agenda of ruining the thread any harder than they are already. If you want to, delete your drive, but at least do us the service of forbidding your jumps from being replaced so we don't have to mindlessly fight to keep them on the drive forever lest they be replaced wit garbage.
>>
>>53334519
Tomb Lords don't have motherfucking Abhorash.
>>
>>53334449
>I can adopt a more aggressive persona if you'd prefer.
*deadpan* I am terrified.
I am also mildly amazed that you 'recognised' me despite my having never posted in a thread with you in it until today, to the best of my knowledge.

>played up your own image of me more than any impression I've made for myself.
Hmm, to be fair, and not being sarcastic here, you have a point. Not pertinent to our discussion, but still.

>except me.
You are wrong there by at least one person.

Regarding any further talk, no thanks, I don't seee any point, if anything I was finished a while ago, but with you and your 'fans' taking umbrage at my daring to actually respond to your being a prick in response to what was supppsed to be me being nice to you, well that's stretched things further than it need to go.
You may not have mental problems, Dirge, assuming you are actually Dirge, but you sure have communication problems.

Good luck with your jump, please be quick about it. Our little talk is one thing, but there are far too many shitposters that will make a mess if they see you here.
