Collusion is only scummy if you do it with people you don't know, and if you are doing it while a round is going on. If between a match you ask a friend to concede to you so you can make it to the top 8, there ain't nothing wrong with that. I go to events with 5-6 friends, and we always look at standings to see who we are likely to be paired against in the next round and make decisions on if one of us should forfeit based on that information. There is nothing dirty or underhanded about it, we are just working as a team to get one of us into the top 8.

Lets you fill the yard with your one of cards to snap back and other snap fodder as well as delve fuel, can also be used to fuck with your opponents scries as well.

Snapcaster is a good card but a better comparison for your case would have been Tasigur/Gurmag since that is the threat that replaces goyf. Tasigur will always be a 4/5 or 5/5 in angler's case. They also dodge push which is a big plus in the current meta and Tasigur can help grind in certain matchups provided you don't delve like a retard.

and just to clear things up you aren't "running these cards over traverse and goyf" you're playing a completely different deck entirely with a very different gameplan so trying to compare the two like you are now is making you look quite dumb, on top of the fact that you're previous posts showing you have no clue what's even in the deck.

The question im posing is why you would play the bad blue cards that the Grixis version runs when you play the amazing green cards the Jund version runs. The Jund version is just better there is no reason to run Blue. Hell for a while and even still sometimes DSJ splashes white for Souls, that alone should show you how fucking shit Blue is in Modern, when a deck is running 4 color goodstuff and wont even consider touching Blue.

No, a removal heavy format had a lot to do with it.

Been tinkering around with a Jeskai Saheeli Combo list in Modern, and it seems pretty god damn decent.

It's pretty flexible because you can either go for the turn 6 guaranteed combo after sculpting your hand and ruining their threats with 4 Bolt, 4 Path, 4 Censor.

Or you can decide to go value town if black based decks strip your hand with hand attack fearing the combo, and flicker/copy P&K with Saheeli/Felidar, as well as the Sun Titan package post board.

I know there were a few lists bumping around a few months ago, but with meta changes and AHK adding Censor makes this deck a force.

The only truly bad matchup is Tron with no Censor up on Turn 3, but Tron is dying with all the quick decks these days.

Plus UWR is a good Sideboard color combination.

I saved the deck as "Bad Tron" for a reason.
Chalice and Surgicals make it so I actually stand a chance against Burn and other fast decks. By the time I'm casting chalice I don't really care about the 1-2 drops in my deck.
Surgical is great for punishing greedy decks that run fetches and combo decks.

heres a deck i made, i need to replace some of the creatures with copies of fling and supernatural stamina

the idea is that i beef up some of the creatures ith the devour mechanic and then put supernatural stamina on them, then fling them at the enemy to chunk their health, and i can bring them back with stuff like supernatural stamina and deadwood treefolk's ability.

its stupid but it could work with some fine tuning.

I watched a friend of mine on UW control use all 4 of his seas against EldraziTron and still get stompled. Very few cards shift the whole texture of a matchup in your favor, and spreading seas is most definitely not one of those cards.

In 8whack some neat 1ofs I've seen are Devastating Summons, Vexing Devil (triggers revolt at least and allows for a 4/4 experiment one)
Attarkas Command is a good card, Voltaic Brawler is a decent card but maybe doesn't cut the mustard.

First time posting in the general, didn't know where else to ask but, is there any way to make pyromancer ascension kinds viable again? I was running a pretty standard ascension build, and later incorporated thing in the ice too, only now with the probe ban, I feel like the deck falls totally flat. Be honest would Stoneblade even be the best deck in the format? Probably not, Kolaghans Command wrecks it, Bolt, Push , and Path kill Stoneforge and every deck is packing a high amount of artifact hate already. Yes there'd be games where they have a turn 3 Batterskull but theres games where Burn has the turn 4 kill and there wasnt anything you could do, ive seen a game where turn 3 dredge had all their creatures out, and even DSJ has some very explosive starts. A turn 3 Batterskull is not a guarantee and with the amount of Thoughtseize in the format you can easily rip it out of their hand if they do search it up

Stoneforge isnt a deck; it's a card. You can build around it, or you can just put one other card in your deck which makes it instant cantrip and t3 card advantage and clock.

You can put a few of them in any deck that plays white. when you add the bounce factor and the lifelink, it's a 2cmc splashable threat that outweighs goyf heavily. It just doesnt block a t3 swing.

Sup /tg/. I've been playing a U/W control deck for about 5 months now, its my first and only modern deck. It does reasonably well, but lately U/W control has become more popular in the meta. The lists that the pros are running is a little different from the list I came up with. After some testing and experimenting it seems that the pro lists are clearly better (go figure), though not by a drastic margin. So figured I should probably make the upgrades so I can have a better deck, but then I thought, well if my only goal is to win, then why play U/W control at all? If I'm just trying to win I should probably play deaths shadow or affinity or something.
