About this page. The other two go very much together. They also go with the CYOA before it, but the binding part isn't done. This one, however, builds on it to give a more clear goal. I'm considering fleshing it out into a full CYOA, but I think I might like to finish binding up the other two pages first. Not sure yet.

I may not be well-armoured, but I won't ever have to worry about being caught unarmed and unarmoured. By combining Serenity and Flow, my body will autonomously fight at peak efficiency while my mind focuses on tactics. I'll even be able to ride a motorcycle in a similar state of "perfect autonomy", granting me speed that most other combatants won't be able to keep up with.

Originally I designed this build around use in this world, but looks like I'm getting dragged off to Valhalla instead. Guess I'll get my ass kicked.

Technically the scythe, spear, lance, and staff are polearms. The scythe description also mentions the axes as polearms, and the description and picture for hammers has them as another sort of polearm. I imagine all of the options are actually rather broad in what they actually cover.

So, able to read my opponent's thought and have the mental clarity to react accordingly.
Speed boost and time stops to help keep up and out-maneuver as well as have more time to plan responses.
And a sixth sense so I don't get surprise attacked, or to give an edge against multiple opponents, which is where this build would have trouble.
That and the fact I'm resorting to beating people unconscious with a glorified stick.

As far as western weaponry goes, staves are not considered poleweapons, spears are generally considered distinct though they are distinct, and scythes as in the pic aren't weapons at all.

Polearm usually refers to all kinds of various non-spear weapons made out of a pole/shaft and a weaponhead. Or several. The most common is the Halberd, obviously, one of the most common weapons in war, but my personal favorite is the Glaive, which is basically a sword on a stick. Japan has a similar one called the Naginata.

The main weakness of slow long range weapons is that you can't do anything when the enemy comes close. With avatar, I always have at least one partner to cover that weakness, and dissolve allows for tactical repositioning and better coordination with the avatar. Chronite allows for quick damage bursts with the downside being mostly negated by the long distance between the enemy and me. Also works for scouting in team matches since the avatar has a telepathic link, so one of us can be on a high vantage point, the other can relay messages to the team.

I don't know if spear has the "best" potential. Though the rapid strikes do get really powerful with the right enchantments. I guess it depends how you define potential. For raw power, I'd say an Enhanced hammer or ball-and-chain would be the most powerful in a single strike. Still, you're set up for a dodge fighting-style that makes sure you get your hits.

It isn't an automatic win. It just lets you automatically fight at 100% of your potential at no real effort on your part. Since you don't have any damaging enchants or anything, you're vulnerable to a lot of things you can't dodge, like splashy magic, auras, or shockwaves / explosions. You "can" pre-heal your party, but it works best with precision, so you'll need to know where they'll get cut ahead of time. And this is why shoes are important. Anyone without shoes would be no match for you. Even with shoes, you could still strike the ground at their feet to extra-terraform a bit to make it stretch around their legs & apply the Forsaken weapon effect on their legs. Basically, Forsaken Terraform would turn the ground into the substance that Forsaken makes grow on enemy wounds. Touching it would cause pain. Damaging the ground would cause it to stretch out in small veins.

Chronite makes the ground look like clockwork, with temporal distortions of "things here go faster" and "things here go slower." You can't really control which areas are where, but you can try to control the speed-boosting zones like king-of-the-hill. You will, however, be able to tell which areas are which before walking in them, giving you an edge over your foes.

ONE PUUUUUUUUUNCH (well, slice/stab). End duels with a single comically fast sword attack that drains most of my stamina. Anyone who survives the blade will feel the heat of truefire. Chronite stopping time to think lets me hype myself up for Overdrive at any moment.

I'm pretty fucked if my first attack doesn't kill or do severe damage, though. An ambush from a ranged user at long distance is also bad but that's fairly universal.
