This is what happens when you ban /wst/, they spill into and fester in a general for a shitty game, where the releases are always slow and disapointing, the Devs are creeps and pervs, and people just lose interest in playing the game normall since the who system is fucked from the start.

Also, /tg/ has always been super degenerate since the olden days. Hell, we're the board that invented Thri-Kreen Erotica and the Rape Factory/Economy

Let's get away from that with something else, shall we?

I realized something while I was building my One Piece builds, and that's that anime characters have WAY too much HP compared to the average Pathfinder character. So I maxed out whatever hit die their gestalted classes would get instead of taking average, which for pretty much everyone brought them up to over 100 HP.

Well yeah, that's a given since I'm playing Pathfinder. However, I luckily have a group that tries to be accommodating for such characters, since most everyone has had a taste of Full Caster at least once and we agree no mortal man is meant to have that kind of power.

So, how do I LAwbringer. I should've also mentioned that PoW is available, as is most 3pp if the DM vets it first, though I would like to know what my options are both with and without PoW.

>>
>>52527311
Evocation and cloak/cape.
>>
>>52527513
Maybe, but I'm building them at level 9 (though I did Luffy at 10 since he's the captain) for the challenge, and also because if I did level 20 builds for everyone it would actually take forever. I'm mostly working these builds around the idea that they're around the power level of pre-timeskip Straw Hat crew, so anywhere from Thriller Bark to Sabaody Archepelago.

I'm also doing these as purely Pathfinder-built characters as opposed to just statting them out as how I imagine how strong they SHOULD be, again as part of the challenge and also because I'm doing this while imagining that these are being built by people who are legitimately minmaxing for certain builds. Unfortunately this means that certain things get left in the dust either due to my own ignorance or due to failure of the system to provide for my needs, but them's the breaks.

Well, by the in-game calendar, it'd be 1806. 4717 is meant to parallel the real-world year, yes, but in the modules where you go to Earth, it's a parallel to 100 years before now (so WW1 was just wrapping up during Reign of Winter).

It was 100 years prior to 2006, which is when Paizo published the Golarion setting.

Gotchu famalam.

>ARCHMAGE BUTLER'S ASCOT
>Aura strong universal; CL 13th
>Slot neck; Price 31,500 gp; Weight .5 lb.
This linen ascot is prim and austere, stained black using dyes made from the crushed feathers of common familiar birds such as ravens, owls and hawks. Developed from a tradition of Aztlan warrior-servitors wearing black iron torcs to similar effect, modern designs are softer and do not carry the same suggestion of slavery. These garments are designed to be accessories worn around the necks of humanoid servants of powerful arcane magic wielders, granting them many of the benefits of being a familiar at the cost of being greatly limited by their master's power. The wearer of the ascot receives all of the benefits of being a familiar appropriate to their master's level while retaining their own hit dice and abilities, however their intelligence is modified in accordance to their master's hit dice. Bound to a master of too low skill and power and the wearer will find their intellect suppressed to that of a child.

The ascot must be placed around the neck of the recipient by their future master, followed by speaking the command phrase. Additionally, the user must have the ability to possess a familiar through class features or feats. A Witch who converts a humanoid into her familiar through this item must succeed a caster level check at a DC of the (10 + humanoid's Hit Dice) to transfer her spells to them from her previous familiar. Stored spells will appear on skin in text or images of particular meaning to the Witch.

Requirements
>Craft Wondrous Item, Limited Wish, Arcane Mark, familiar class feature or feats.
>>
>>52527910
>you've whined about it before
No anon. I've explicitly asked for HELP before, to see if there was some version I could access. At this rate anyone asking for help on their build or application is 'whining'. And I saw that one time you accused someone else of being me for asking about, what, spells? Spells don't use Google, I can view the entire lists on the SRD perfectly fine; that wasn't me.

Chinaman, it's okay that you need help with English. If you don't care you don't comment. If you care and you comment assertively you attempt to get things done. If you care and you comment aggressively then you lash out even if it doesn't help. If you care and you comment passively you avoid directly addressing the issue. If you care and comment passive-aggressively then you act as if you don't care, but if you actually didn't care then you wouldn't comment.

>SLOTH-SNARE SMOCK
>Aura weak evocation; CL 5th
>Slot shoulders; Price 10150 gp; Weight 5 lb.

This suspiciously comfortable-looking painter's smock is meant to be worn like a mantle or cape, protecting their clothes while performing dirty work. The lining is incredibly soft and light, wicks sweat and deflects staining liquids, while retaining a comfortable body heat. The smock can extrude up to six tendrils which will hold items in place relative to the user, allowing them to have a variety of tools at the ready when crafting or creating art- although they may also be used by the slovenly to carry bottles of drink or trays of food as desired. These tendrils are not dextrous or capable of movement beyond supporting objects with a weight of less than 2lb, and have 3 HP and a hardness of 0 apiece. Damaged and destroyed tendrils regenerate every sunrise and sunset.

The user gets a +2 circumstance bonus to any tasks that require they sit still, such as long-term observation, painting or writing, as well as their Will save to mind-affecting spells that might force them from their sedentary position. At GM discretion, persuasion attempts against slovenly or low-energy NPCs wearing a Sloth Snare Smock may have the DC raised by 1 or 2 points if it would require them to move from a comfortable or relaxing position.

Three times per day the user may extend the tendrils as if casting the Pilfering Hand spell, although they use their normal CMB instead of one derived from their casting attribute and the bonus to perceive this manipulation in opposed checks is +4 instead of +2.

Requirements
>Craft Wondrous Item, Pilfering Hand, Wrathful Mantle, worships a god of craft or homesteading.

>PHANTASMAL BUSTIER
>Aura strong necromancy; CL 9th
>Slot chest; Price 22150 gp; Weight 4 lb.

This corset is made of glossy black leather and ribbed in the bleached hand bones of destroyed humanoid undead, frozen into grasping motions with resins distilled from necromantically puissant substances such as blackblood. A humanoid who dons it will find it too tight, making eating and breathing impossible. After a minute of wearing it they will feel faint and dizzy and quickly lose consciousness. The wearer's spirit becomes partially discorporated from the waist-up, taking the form of an incorporeal undead of appropriate CR animating their comatose body with puppet strings. They temporarily gain the benefits one one power available to ghosts per 3 HD and the simultaneous use of their ghostly and living limbs. The incorporeal set can only wield weapons conjured with magic or enchanted with the Ghost Touch property, but are otherwise completely functional.

The wearer gains standard undead immunities, but becomes vulnerable to some magic that can affect undead. Channeled positive energy deals its full value in nonlethal damage, which will force the character back into their body, while channeled negative energy may fascinate or influence the character as if they were an undead with their full class levels in HD.

Every hour the wearer wears the corset they must pass a Fortitude save at a DC of 16, or receive 1d4 Constitution damage. The difficulty for this save increases cumulatively by 1 for every hour it is worn. Removing the corset will return the wearer to consciousness after 1d4 rounds of being dazed, while forcibly removing it from them will cause them to return to consciousness after 1d4 rounds of being stunned. If the character's physical body is destroyed or their Constitution reaches 0, they are instantly transformed into a ghost.

In golarion there is actually a in canon speech an academic gives on the subject of why undead are an inherently evil concept.

I'll summarize it.

The idea is of an "all predator" scenario and how it is an inherently selfish concept. Undead, if left to their own device, will attempt to attack and destroy the living. Most will not move to find the living and simply say/wander, but when encountering a living being they will attempt to destroy them. This instinctual desire to destroy all life, not for consumption which is neutral but due to a simple desire to destroy is evil and represents and inherently selfish scenario and end game. If left to their own device undead will create for themselves, eventually, an all predator scenario where all living creatures have been destroyed by undead, leaving them by themselves.

Even if you, a necromancer, enforces your will on the undead and controls them it does not change this scenario or the inherent nature of undead. This is no different than if a wizard is to bind and force a demon to do good. Though you can use them for good you are creating inherently selfish beings.

What's more it is not because of a conscious effort to be selfish and destructive, like a daemon, but an inherent instinctual part of their being.

Lots of shit kinda went tits-up when Blood of Vol made the pact with Karrnath during the first quarter of the Last War; insanity and corruption of all kinda is kind of a side-effect. And one of this Vampires major domain had been over the undead; so changes are she'd been cracked since his rise to power. And the 85 years since his slaying and scattering of his remains likely hadn't aided her psyche either, especially if she'd been trying to put him back together again and failing all that time.

And yes, the kingdom had attempted the destruction of his remains. Things didn't go according to plan.
>>
>>52529325
The animating force. If you animate it via animate objects, it is not an undead, just animated bones!
>>
>>52529344
That's it.

It's the Flyclops solution.

Instead of animating bones with negative energy, animate them with punch from the punch dimension. Isn't there an elemental demiplane of Force?

They'll just want to MOVE like fucking crazy.
>>
>>52529299
>What's more it is not because of a conscious effort to be selfish and destructive, like a daemon, but an inherent instinctual part of their being.
Which...is literally not fucking Evil. If it's instinctive, it can't be Evil, because they have literally no capacity for moral behavior. That's the goddamn problem. A bear has no alignment not because it's 'natural' or 'kills only for consumption', but because it literally has no capacity for moral thought. It doesn't understand good or evil, hence it cannot be good or evil.

>not for consumption which is neutral
>but due to a simple desire to destroy which is evil
...yeah except...like...here's the thing - they have no desire to destroy the undead. They destroy the living because life is diametrically opposed to what they represent, unlife. This has nothing to do with evil or selfishness. In fact - they can't be selfish because shit like zombies literally cannot think, they're, quote the bestiary, "unthinking automatons, and can do little more than follow orders". How do you accuse what amounts to a robot with default code of 'kill shit' of being 'selfish' or 'evil'? It's dangerous.
And when we move to actual sentient undead, well, if they are sentient then they must by definition be aware of their actions, which therefore implies that they are able to decide 'yeah no I'm just not going to kill these guys, there's no point to it'. Liches and Ghosts are willing to negotiate with adventurers if they think they have something to gain, but that's a Neutral action - not Evil.
Daemons are Evil because they're sentient and doing evil actions while knowing full well what they're doing is evil, yet doing something like gating in an LE Efreeti doesn't make you Evil.
>>
>>52529395
...

You seem to be forgetting that objective good and evil exist in pathfinder

Why are undead evil?

Because they are objectively evil according to the game.
>>
>>52529395
To tell the truth, it's mostly because necromancer players are generally insufferable.
>>
>>52529395
By pathfinder's rules are are simply incorrect. It doesn't take one to be mindful to be evil. They are an inherent selfish/destructive at their core.

One doesn't need moral thought to be evil.

Institutionally attempting to destroy all life is Evil...if you know that's what you're doing. A completely mindless automaton can't be anything but TN because it's, well, fucking mindless. I mean this is clean from the rulebook, page 166:
>Animals and other creatures incapable of moral action are neutral. Even deadly vipers and tigers that eat people are neutral because they lack the capacity for morally right or wrong behavior. Dogs may be obedient and cats free-spirited, but they do not have the moral capacity to be truly lawful or chaotic.

The thing is a construct has no base action, it only has the action that its creator gave it.

Without the control of its creator an undead will attempt to destroy all life.

That is why a construct is neutral and an undead is not.

Vermin, another mindless creature type, is neutral in much the same way animals are.

A construct left to its own devices will do nothing. An undead left to its own devices will attempt to destroy all life.

>>52529568
How so? Morality requires sentience by its very definition, for morality is literally recognized by the sentient. I can program a Construct to kill fucking everything and it would be the same thing, yet the construct is not Evil, merely dangerous.
>>
>>52529516
Here's the problem: Undead are created with a power that makes them evil because it's very unpleasant stuff. Negative Energy isn't "always evil" in Paizo stuff but it might as well be - It hungers for life in a way that tends to lead towards mindless evil, especially when you replace soulstuff with it and use it to animate corpses.

Now, is it possible that a Necromancer could raise undead and force them to do good things? Yes. Just like an Enchanter could use Dominate Person and force an evil living person to do good things. However, that doesn't make them good - Once they're done being ordered around, or if they break that bond, they go right back to being mindless life-eating monsters, or back into being a lawyer in the latter's case.

This is pretty clear in the rules, and it's why using abilities like Raise Dead are evil acts and evil spells. Golems aren't evil because they aren't possessed with a faux-soul made of Negative Energy (usually) and are more puppeted, with very little will to them. If you make a golem and leave it alone, it'll probably just sit there. If you make a zombie and leave it alone, it's going to try to find and eat people.

Except it isn't. The point is moral action. You're literally just trying to redefine alignment. That's fine for your own setting but we're talking about golarion.

A construct is incapable of taking moral action unless given outside input, the input of the creator, and thus you have taken the moral action.

With undead both the creator and the undead are taking moral action. You for creating an inherently selfish being. It for attempting to destroy all life. An undead needs no input from its creator to attempt to destroy all life.

With an animal no moral action exists, there is no one up the chain that takes a moral action in the 'consumption' scenario. Self defense, eating to survive, etc. are not moral actions. Similarly with oozes and vermin.

Die Hard's a good example. Hans is basically the main character of an alternate plotline that keeps intersecting with John McClane's plotline. He's still an evil asshole, but he's got some charm, he gets some fun lines, and he's got an agenda and a good head on his shoulders. You don't groan when he's on screen, but neither do you really want him to win--you just like seeing the wheels turn in his head. and watching his plan unfold.

But what is moral action? Moral action is not the same as action. Selfishness requires conciousness, for it is defined as placing the Self over the Other. The most important part about a villain is challenging the heroes. He needs to be a credible threat, but he also can't be too strong, or else he's not a challenge to be defeated, he's something to be avoided. Yes, this can work if the heroes are gaining strength to defeat him, but in that case he has to be static, otherwise it's a game of catch up rather than a goal to be reached. Power level is a factor but you also have to consider the personal level. He has to challenge /them/ specifically, he has to hit at their weaknesses. Are they selfless do-gooders? Have him use that against them. Make them give up everything. Leave them no choice but selfishness. And not only that, but he has to be directly in conflict with the heroes. There can be no hope of peaceful resolution, no divided end. They want to save the kingdom? He won't rest until every field is salted and every house is burnt.

>Then I must simply disagree that destruction is a moral action if done by something mindless because at this point the only reason a hurricane isn't Chaotic Evil is because it isn't in the bestiary.
If one were to give viruses a moral alignment then one has to consider what they do and why. They are attempting to replicate. Consumption for the purpose of procreation is not a moral action, as shown by animals.

A storm has no alignment because it is not even a creature, no more than a stone a man trips over to fall off a cliff has an alignment.

By golarion's terms of what constitutes a moral action you're still simply wrong.
>>
>>52529829
>they are attempting to replicate
They're not attempting to do ANYTHING, because, as a reminder, they are well and truly MINDLESS. Viruses don't 'want' to do anything. Zombies don't 'want' to do anything. They simply do it because that's all their shoddy programming can manage. A virus cares no more about reproducing than an oxygen atom cares about filling its valence shell, it simply happens because the element is highly electronegative.

>>
>>52529871
>They're not attempting to do ANYTHING, because, as a reminder, they are well and truly MINDLESS.
Mindlessness doesn't mean anything in terms of morality. Viruses replicate by taking on the actions that they are meant to do.

You keep equating morality with sapience. Which has no connection in golarion. It has a connection to moral action.

Because Viruses take on action with the end goal of replication (because that's what they do) they are not taking a moral action in the same way animals do not.

Undead have no such goal. If zombies acted like hollywood zombies and 'turned' people then they would be neutral and that was the goal behind undead. Unfortunately it isn't, the goal is just destruction.

At high level you can do the following:
>Standard Action (drink an extract)
>Free Action (using the alchemist extract that lets you use one stored extract as a free action)
>Move action (drink an extract created using your brewkeeper class features)
>No action x2 (your tumor familiar stabs you with needle gloves and injects two more)
Only two of these are maximized. So you're looking at 30d8+160 damage.

You're gonna vaporize your body, which is why you're a clone master.

>>
>>52530353
Uh, no, hyperspace is truncating the trip in ways similar to wormholes but generally without the necessity of 'jump points'.

Warp drives are FTL: Warp actually contracts space so that one's effective velocity exceeds light in the space outside the field. The result is actual, linear movement between two points, at - from an outside frame of reference - superluminal velocities.
>>
>>52530402
Warp isn't FTL though, because you're not actually moving superluminally, it's just that the space itself is smolified.

The shrunken space is still moved through. You may as well be claiming that cars aren't really going faster than horses because it's just making wheels spin and thus incapable of galloping.

Your "wheels" in this case compress space within your own frame of reference while also pushing you along, allowing you to cross greater distances per unit of time.

The difference is that Wormholes might be crossed at subluminal speeds; they're just a shortcut between two points, while Hyperspace is a shortcut through an alternate dimension (a good example would be traveling through the nether in minecraft, with tearing down the portals at both ends when you're done so you can rebuild another pair next time).

Warp is legitmately moving at subluminal speeds though. I mean it's kind of fucky but just because you have two things moving at .9 c each on top of each other does NOT mean the top one is moving at 1.8c.

Warp works more like you folding up paper, drawing a short line, then unfolding the paper. Yeah it LOOKS like you covered more, but you didn't because it wasn't that long when you crossed it.

Say you're moving at the surface of a box. This box is your universe, and you can travel all over it.

>Wormhole
There's a little drinking straw linking two opposite sides: If you go through it you're at the other side, for a majority of longer trips you get there a lot faster than if you'd gone across the entire surface the whole way.

>Jump Drive
There are marks on the box. These marks come in sets. Using a jump drive teleports you to the matching mark. Usually they're in pairs.

Hyperspace: You can simply (usually harmlessly) phase right through the box and come out at or near your destination you may have some safety distances to avoid coming out inside something else at the surface; these may be known and avoided dynamically or may require knowing about it ahead of time lest bad bad shit happens, depending on the system.

No that's wormholes.

You're not AVOIDING any of the intervening 'paper': you're crossing all of it, but you compressed the road - not folded it, simply made what 1km is a fuckton shorter.

When you measure the distance travelled over time - aka your speed - you have in fact travelled significantly faster than light.

A wormhole on the other hand, any light that goes through that wormhole came out ahead of you: You took a shortcut, so you both got there earlier than if you'd used the main road, but the distance crossed was shorter.

You have to be stopped.

Fine let's try another analogy - it's as if you're flying to London from New York and going to drive to Scotland after, but you magically move Britain into the middle of the atlantic and then start moving it back after you've landed. The entire point is that you have NOT travelled faster than light, because that is impossible. Travelling 3 00 001 km in a second is not possible...but travelling 100 000 km in a second that you then expand to 3 00 001 is.
>>

But you did.
To any outside frame of reference you travelled a FUCKTON faster than light, and you did so the entire way.

You took no shortcuts - interdimensional or otherwise.

You flew straight from London to NY, not missing or skipping a centimeter. You just did it fucking fast.

Just don't forget that outside frame of reference applies to everything except the field generator itself: To the people on the ship it was the same as to the people outside the ship: Entire distance traveled just really really fast.

...yes, and no. Compressing space would affect perception. The thing is this - you NEVER TRAVELLED that far. Relative to the compressed space you only travelled at subluminal speed, over subluminally possible distance. The drive then expands the space behind you, as if stretching out a spring. If you draw a line on a rubber band then stretch the rubber band, the line seems to stretch - same thing.
>>
>>52530763
You literally did travel that far. The fact that the drive is compressing space to let you do it doesn't matter: the entirety of the warp-field and its contents crossed the entire distance in the given unit of time.

Velocity is the change in position with respect to a frame of reference, per unit of time. As no shortcuts were taken and there was no frameskipping, the fact that the warp drive makes crossing the distance "easier" has no effect on your results: Your velocity was superluminal.

If you wanted to argue against this, the angle you should approach is that the compression of spacetime in this way implies that the units of time used in a frame of reference are what were skewed to give an illusion of >c when in fact the entire universe outside the field was simply slowed.

However at that point there would be the issue of a lack of differential to the point where even realtime communications are unaffected, when taking the star trek warp drive as an example.

>the entire distance
...which was not in fact the same distance. That is the problem. At the point when you crossed the distance you NEVER CROSSED that much. Now obviously this only applies WITHIN the bubble, which never crosses as much distance.

Same distance, only temporarily different values for said distance.
