So my gaming group has a few issues that may not be issues.
1. They don't know that the target of a ranged attack gets +4 AC if basically anything blocks Line of Sight. The Ranger character would be much less useful if this was known.
2. They don't know that casting while threatened provokes an AoO. The wizard would have died this session if they knew.
3. The cleric didn't know that channel energy doesn't penetrate walls or large obstructions. If he knew then the Druid's animal companion would have died.
Should I remind them of these rules or just let the game go on?

It's definitely more complex than someone who wants a straightforward single character would like, and the damage balancing still feels awkward, but I think you're hugely underestimating the potential of having two people in constant telepathy with no distance limit, and the possibility to spec them with completely different feat, shape and skill rank choices.

Rule 0 has sorta two meanings. The first is that the DM has final say, no matter what the rulebook says, but the other is the relevant one. The point of the game is to have fun. If they're having fun and pointing out these rules would make them have less fun then don't do it.

If the party randoms into some encounters out in the wilderness while traveling between two cities, yes, that suggests that the world is a dangerous place and it might even give them insight into the local area. But it also wastes time, especially since the party's not likely to find anything rewarding or interesting for their trouble. Well, how do you make random encounters interesting enough to be worth the game time a combat can eat up? I don't mean "what's a good idea for a random encounter" since a single good idea is useless for something that could and likely will happen often. This is more of an encounter design question, I suppose. What do you do to make random encounters more than just a punishment for traveling? If they only exist as such, I don't think they're really worth the time the group has to spend on them, especially for a group that has sessions that only last 4 or 5 hours or move slowly through combat.

Also be aware one can cast defensively, although that requires a check.

And Precise Shot gets around the most common source of that attack penalty: allies in melee. Because it's a prerequisite to a whole slew of things, a ranger often has it by 3, and unlikely later than 5th.

Guns are really shit-tier the first few levels. At level 5 gunslinger you get dex-to-damage, and should also have money enough to buy B.Bandolier and other necessary shit. One or two levels later you should have the budget to just straight up reverse engineer the Infinite Sky enchantment to remove bullets altogether and just shoot forever with no miss chance.

If you're not a gunslinger they suck dicks, if you are they suck one dick until lv5 then just become straight up dumb.

Yes, the general rule is that Fiends and Celestials are only pregnant when they want to be pregnant, or impregnate when they want to impregnate.

That said, I would postulate a modification to this assumed rule by stating that a Fiend can only become pregnant (or impregnate) when the DM says so, while a Celestial can get pregnant or impregnate when the player says they want it.

Achieving PROFICIENCY with bows was a process that took years. It's about as precise out-of-the-box as fucking golfclubs, with sometimes disturbingly similar flight patterns. Hell, you can tell someone was a professional archer because what it fucking does to their skeleton, due to the large forces one must apply in wholly unnatural ways compared to how our body applies its force nominally.

But here, instead, what we get is "oh you're proficient in *ALL* martial weapons" when in fact with a feat system it should look something like "Precise Archery: Requirements: Exotic Proficiency Longbow, Precise Shot. Benefit: You may apply Precise Shot to your bow attacks and may now qualify for the Deadly Archery feat if you also have Deadly Aim"

The comparative simplicity of crossbows is waved off, but in the time you'd get bow proficiency, anyone could become a veteran crossbow sniper!

The intention of Betrothed is actually to let you play the two characters with little-to-no change in power. It turns out having a second set of actions is actually REALLY POWERFUL, guys! Who would have thought. On that topic, though, I'm wanting to make a kineticist archetype that goes back to the roots of being a "carrie"-style class. Stealthy, shifty, focusing more on the utility talents than the blasting side, gaining a pseudo-sneak attack (increase the damage of your blast by one die step if you would ever gain the benefits of Sneak Attack damage, otherwise, reduce it by one step. Your blast counts as sneak attack and you can take rogue talents that alter it as infusions). I need to tinker with it.

Despite the outward similarities (the 1d6/2 levels ray, the four level progression), the classes ultimately play VERY differently. Full Plate I feel is never something you should take at level 3, considering it's the stuff you'll probably be wearing for the rest of the campaign, it just doesn't feel right to be encased in the end-game armor right from session 1.

Besides, it's always tons of fun to *get* the Full Plate, since you need to commission someone to forge it, choose a design, and ultimately figure out what materials you want to use in it's construction.
